2 of us arrived on a Saturday around 4:30 and took the elevator from the lobby of the Rowan Hotel to the rooftop bar. Many seating areas, mostly full at this point, however, we were able to snag a table just past the pool area with a view of the museum trail part of the mountain.
FOOD: We only got the chips, salsa and guacamole, but the chips were fresh, the guacamole was fresh and the salsa had wonderful flavor and a chunky texture (which we like).
BAR: The wine is a bit pricey (as is typical for a pool side type menu) at $14 a glass, served in the non breakable glassware with no stem, average pour. Limited options. The beer is a good value, $8. There was also a cocktail menu made available.
SERVICE: When we first arrived, we were greeted by a friendly employee who explained the various dining/drinking locations - 4 to choose from! We chose the rooftop. Alvaro arrived shortly after we sat down to take our order. After a few minutes he came back with a question and then the drinks within 5 minutes after that. He appeared to be the only one attending to the entire section we were in, which included several high top tables along the wall, many tables for 4, lounge type seats and also a section which surrounds the fire pit. He was hustling for sure, took a bit longer to get the check but we could see him hopping from table to table, clearing off the vacated spots in addition to assisting customers with their orders. They really need one more person to help with this section.
ATMOSPHERE: Can't beat the scenery! Beautiful views of the mountains no matter where you choose to sit. There are larger seating areas to accommodate 6-8 and smaller ones for just 2. 2 different bars to choose from once you get to the roof area.
