What a pleasant experience! I took my parents- I grew up watching the Simpsons with my father and thought it would be neat to surprise him with the pop-up going on! We arrived, I was asked to show ID (I am an 80s baby- so thanks for the compliment 😄) and we were able to bring the dog! It was a warm afternoon on the patio, but the fans helped so it wasn’t too bad. It was fun getting the “Duff” beer and the themed Krusty burgers, and the decor was awesome. Everything felt clean and sanitary, and the tables were spread out. Valet parking for $5. Everyone was super friendly- special shout out to Patrick. He welcomed my parents and made us feel special when we arrived. The bartenders and the servers, the door man. Honestly the service was just really great- and that’s the most important thing for me. My parents moved to Texas a couple years ago and places like this make me feel happy that they moved here and are treated with kindness. Thanks for the southern hospitality!

This is a great bar. There was another guy trying to talk trash to me for no reason, (I was supporting Tech as an Aggie, and another tech guy tried to fight me for no reason) and the bouncer saw this. They kicked the other guy out because I was just hanging out. Great people. Amazing service. They treat all school properly and I respect that. I’ll be coming here every time I can. Don’t listen to the negative comments just because someone was drunk and trying to start stuff at this bar. Respect to the people who work here.

Awesome theme but the food wasn't tasty at all. The Krusty burger I had didn't have any flavor. I won't be back for the food. I would love to visit and sit at the bar but they charge a service charge for it being a themed bar.

Had fun with friends it gets live around 1030pm just a heads up couple arcades too

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD! It was the worst and we barely had arrived. We got there with nobody else in sight - empty tables left and right so we just sat down and EVERY SINGLE employee walked past us by us and stared at us BUT NONE APPROACHED US to inform us about anything. 15 mins in and they still hadn’t come to us. So we got up and left - the bartender just kept staring at us without anything to say. It’s so rude and disgusting customer service. We ended up at the KSP Henderson & customer service there was amazing!!

Very Bro bro. But I still like staff and outside setting. Great location and the jello shot staff are great. Drinks are better priced than other areas.

Great bar but bartenders over charge you and dont give you a receipt to know what the charges actually are. $18 for two high noons. Wont be back

The bouncers are dangerous people. They are already drunk & disorderly upon coming to work. I watched a bouncer drag my friend to the ground by her back brace after she was granted entry to the bar by his coworker. This is not a safe place to have a drink this is a place when violent drunks go to hurt eachother. Await your lawsuit.

Yelp
The burgers were amazing! The cheese were perfectly melted, super hot and fresh. Fries were piping hot and delicious. The service at the bar was friendly and fast. You order at the bar and can decide to eat inside of the open bar area or on the patio. Pretty laid back atmosphere. It was a cool experience.

Yelp
I paid for my drinks and was presented with the bill, without my card. I first asked nicely with that she may still have my card. She responded condescendingly that "we don't keep cards, I don't have it". So I asked the manager, and more or less got the same response. I went back the next day and the same manager was there and refused to check the pile of 30 cards they had. "I checked last night, we don't have it. I can't help you". There were 3 hours from when I was there until the place closed - plenty of time for a card to turn up if it were to have been misplaced. And then he turned away to help someone else, basically kicking me out. Ridiculously rude and will not go back to a place I used to love going to.

Yelp
Was pumped to find a Tech bar to watch games at on Saturdays. The bartenders were so rude and the service was horrible, our party of 6 left an hour before kick off so we could find another bar to watch the game at. Pro tip when you have a line at the bar of people trying to order drinks, don't take shots with your waitresses before you take orders... Steer clear if your a Tech alum or just wanting to watch the game. There are several other bars in the area that will at least act like they want your service.

Yelp
I had a truly disappointing experience at High Five Bar. Not only was the atmosphere unwelcoming, but I also witnessed instances of racial slurs being used, which is completely unacceptable and offensive. Moreover, the bouncers displayed inappropriate behavior towards women, making the whole environment feel unsafe. On top of that, there were disturbing incidents of racism directed at men of color. It's disheartening to see such behavior in this day and age. I would strongly advise against visiting this place and supporting such a toxic environment.

Yelp
Went there for the first time last Thursday night for what everyone in the group was raving about: "Midget Wrestling". WOW, great entertainment, everyone had a fun time while enjoying drinks. You read that right, there was a wrestling ring in the middle of the bar! I like the fact that this bar is inclusive of little people, giving them an opportunity to make money.

Katie J.

Yelp
Literally the best burger in dallas, hands down. At least as long as Burger Shmurger is there. Great fries too.

Yelp
I see why this place only has three and a half stars. First of all, the attitudes of the employees are horrible here, at least the bartender that I spoke with. I went whenever the Simpsons event was happening. Upon entering the bar and restaurant interior, I noticed there was a sign that said there would be a 20% auto gratuity added to the entire check. After I was seated, I waited a while for the server to come out, they never did. I ended up going up to the bar and asking evidently, you had to order your drink, no matter what it is (even a soda, which is what I was going to order) from the bartender. Also, food had to be ordered from the bartender. I was puzzles because I was wondering what the 20% gratuity was for. I had to approach the bar from my seat to order the drink, wait for it, and then sit back down. Then I had to get back up and order food, and sit back down. If I needed a refill, I would have to get out of my chair and go to the bar again. Gratuity is for service provided. If I'm having to do all of the light work, then what is a gratuity for? It sounds like extra money for the bartenders. I tried expressing my sentiment to the bartender, and she seemed very unempathetic and very understanding for the most part. She basically said the whole, "it's not my fault" thing, without any apology or sympathy. She is an employee of the establishment, so even though it is not personally her fault why this idiotic rule is in place, it would not be outside at the realm of what's considered acceptable for her to apologize as a representative of the establishment for this, even though it is not personally her fault, of course. Add on this that the prices were extremely expensive in my opinion ($8 for an à la carte basic smallish burger that they are making en masse - it's because the person I went with ordered and it came out in about 2 minutes, burgers take longer than 2 minutes to cook), the TVs playing closed caption Simpsons episodes along with the cute little posters up or nothing near close enough to salvage my utterly soiled experience here. Move along, folks. This place will take your money (and a lot of it), not feel bad about it, and not even act like they care. Crossposted on Google Reviews.

Yelp
Most terrible experience I have ever encountered. I ordered a couple drinks and waited for my card for 25 minutes. I never signed a receipt and was still charged. I asked for my card back and the managers yelled at me and accused me and my friends of lying. I sent them, and showed them proof of the charge and they pretended there was no record of my payment in the bar. I will obviously pay for the things I purchased, but the fact I was yelled at and accused of lying when I asked for the receipt is ridiculous. They are liars, extremely disrespectful, and absolutely horrible to their guests. DO NOT GO HERE. Horrible treatment by management and an absolutely horrible experience. 0 stars or negative if that was possible. Uploading another proof of payment since no one believed, or listened when I showed them in person. If you want to be treated terribly then this is the right place!!

Yelp
Disclaimer, you have to be 21 to get in, and they ask for ID at the door, I went to High Fives while they were featuring a Simpson's theme pop up shop. This was my first time going to this place and I found out that they change themes often which I love about this place. So you get to experience your favorite Tv Shows, Movies etc. I went on a Tuesday so it was plenty of parking along with seating space. I want to say that it is a bar type scene so , they have limited seating inside but they have a huge patio area that offers more space. Okay, even though it was themed food, the food to me was actually really good. I ordered the Clogger Burger, along with tater tots with chili and cheese, and yes I ate every bit of it, I was hungry. I also got the "Lisa Slurry and Flamming Moe. The drinks where good to me but I would say possible light on the alcohol so if your interested in having a strong drink don't expect to much. I don't live in the area, so I don't plan on going often, but I will say this, going forward every time they change the theme I will be going to it. It was fun to experience.

Yelp
I ordered a 42 oz Duff beer & my wife got the Lisa drink. The kitchen was so backed up we couldn't order food. The seating here is very limited & the parking here is awful. I love that they have a Simpsons theme & the vibe of this place is great but overall this place deters me from coming back due to the horrible parking & limited seating.

Yelp
Great atmosphere. Fun bar. Good music. Very upbeat. Can be casual. Young people welcome lol

Katie B.

Yelp
My friend was treated terribly here. She ordered drinks, was never given her bill or card back but was still charged. Management and the bartender repeatedly yelled at her and called her a liar when she had multiple forms of proof for what happened. Horrible arrive, do not recommend.

Yelp
Honestly I thought high school grads would be the bare minimum for workers at this bar. Apparently I was wrong. They like to hire middle schoolers who don't know how algebra works. Every worker I met there could not comprehend a single sentence. I assume they're going for lowest average iq bar in dallas. I will look forward to seeing them go out of business in less than 3 years. P.S. lets see if they know what less than means.

Ellis P.

Yelp
Texas Tech themed bar is the first thing I noticed!! Wreck 'em Tech! Super cheap, just like good ol' Lubbock

Diana V.

Yelp
I was a little tipsy but not near drunk and a bartender called me a "stupid bitch" so probably not going back. It was really embarrassing and I wasn't drunk. She needs to check herself and see who she is messing with. Never coming back to this establishment.

Nathaly M.

Yelp
best fried chicken sandwich & turkey club sandwich I've ever had. I get them every time I'm there and think about them often.

Monie H.

Yelp
This is an open patio, cute neighborhood bar with a great happy hour (M-F, 4-7 and all day Tuesday). Happy hour offerings are $5 for most sandwiches and $5 cocktails, wine, and beer. The drinks were great! I even "discovered" some new Dutch craft beer that I loved. The sandwiches were fresh, hot, and pretty good. We tried the fried catfish (nice & spicy) and the fried chicken sandwiches. I visited on a gorgeous Thursday afternoon. They were over 1/2 full with a mixed crowd. I can imagine that this place is over run with folks with on a nice Friday or Saturday afternoon. It's not a large space, but that just adds to its neighborhood bar vibe. The energy was relaxing and our waitress was super sweet. I'm looking forward to hanging out here again because of all the patio weather DTown has been getting lately.

Yelp
So they say you never get a second chance to make a first impression. If I went off my first impression walking into High Fives on a Wednesday afternoon on my search for a good Happy Hour, I may have left never realizing the joy of things to come. The first worker I encountered was not too friendly BUT I had a group of wonderful friends joining me, PLUS rumors of $1 Champagne Happy Hour, so I decided to stick it out. I have to say the waitress who helped our party was great! She got some tables together to accommodate our group of 15+. There are stools at the bar inside, and a couple tables around the wall, but the seating is primarily on their awesome patio. We got there around 5pm, so there was not a lot of people at the time. As the evening wore on a few more tables filled up. For the size of our group, the waitress was VERY ORGANIZED in keeping our tabs in line, and in getting our drinks and food in a timely manner. When it came time to get our checks she was on top of it! So ... GREAT Happy Hour! Every Wednesday, $1 Champagne! As many glasses as you like! And it actually tasted like some of the good stuff! All the other drinks on the menu was $5, and I have to say they had quite a good selection of specialty drinks, and beer of course. They also do sandwiches for $5 for Happy Hour. Looking at the place, in my mind I was thinking, "eh it's a sandwich, probably not too big a deal". Boy was I wrong! I ordered the "Left Coaster" ~ pretty much a turkey sandwich BUT ... roasted herb turkey (amazing flavors), huge slices of avocados, tomato, cucumbers, drizzled with a bacon and lemon aioli. They DID that sandwich, and no skimping on the turkey either! The meat was spilling out over the delicious wheat bread. A friend got the High 5 BLT (the BLT with a twist) ~ bacon, lettuce, fried green tomato, and topped with a fried egg and pesto aioli. It looked amazing and she loved it! Even the grilled cheese looked good. And then my tab came and it was just under $10! There are not too many places you can get a good sandwich and four drinks for less than $10! I see myself stopping in to High Fives regularly on Wednesdays to grab a few glasses before I head home.

Yelp
Previously, I had loved this bar like an old flame. As of recent, it has treated me like an old fellow. I used to have fun here and now I'm just left astray. I live approximately 2 miles away so it's not just a simple walk to get here, it's a journey. And on this journey, I was left unsatisfied. I came here with some friends thinking this would be a great night. Little did I know that one of the bartenders would DENY me a drink because I was taking up too much space on the bar talking to my girlfriend. I understand that bar real estate is crucial, but, the entire time we were looking to get a drink and we were, whaddyaknow, denied. Eventually, when the bartender came around, he was about to serve us and said "I can't serve you, only water" thinking we were drunk. This misinterpretation is what brings me here because according to him, I'm writing this in a "drunk" state, and I am more than comprehensible. I will not come back here until mr. camo's Watch has ended

Yelp
High fives does a body GOOD! I'm so happy with this bar. It is very funky, cool and laid back. They have a GREAT HAPPY HOUR! Just about every menu item is $5 bucks. Drinks and food are $5 bucks what a deal! The bartender makes delicious concoctions. The drinks are named after women. This is funny and fun at the same time. I ordered a Carlita and it has prickly pear in it. Just hearing that sold me on the drink. Order it and I promise you will not be disappointed. Pear and Tequila yummy to the tummy! For food I tried chili, chicken tortilla soup and the Italian grilled chicken sandwich. The chili was really good, but you have to like black beans. It was loaded with cheese and sour cream. The soup was just ok. It was missing something. I think it needed more cheese. The sandwich was good. It had a piece of prosciutto on it. With the grilled chicken it was a nice balance. Now my favorite part is on Wednesday they offer $1.00 champagne. Let me tell you it was some good champagne for a buck. It was full of bubbles! My experience was wonderful. I will be retuning and I might just become a regular. High fives has a soft spot in my heart.

Yelp
if i could, i would give 0 stars. horrible service, it takes forever to get anything you order, staff is extremely rude and disrespectful, i even overheard several staff laughing at a clearly disabled woman. when it was finally time to leave they got my tab mixed up with someone else's and it took over an hour to sort it out and they still claimed it was my fault. never coming here again!! fix your staff problems!

Junior P.

Yelp
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! the staff ignore & walk on by like you're not sitting there ready to order. the bartender and the other crew people look lost and look like they don't care for business and don't want the business either. the owner definitely needs to look into his staffs customer service. you'd be WAY better of going across the street to KSP Henderson restaurant and drinks 100% customer service there

Marina S.

Yelp
My friends and I went on a Saturday, probably their heaviest day (not sure, cause this was my first time)... but, it was SO packed - next to no room to do anything. We stayed probably all of 10 min so that everyone could finish their drink, and then we left. Inside, it's a very open space with a couple of rooms to go into & some seating space (very limited). There are a couple of cute fire pits towards the front where I believe during really good weather is the "indoor/outdoor" section of it. the bar area is cute, very decorated and colorful. I didn't pay close attention to the drinks available but, they do have some fun specials and they have fish racing on Wednesday's, hahaha! I don't really know all that consists of but, it's advertised! & it's very unique to see the fish tank behind the bar. The age of the crowd was probably 21-30, and I feel that is always the case for them. All in all, don't know how soon I'll be back, at least on a weekend. Didn't feel like it was anything special.

Sophie V.

Yelp
Cool place but probably won't go again. Bartender girl with semi long hair and the entrance bar area to the left when walking in was so rude. We only asked for ice since they have their own water dispenser with cups, she was right next to it and was not serving anyone. More looked like she was bored. Gave us some ice with a really bad attitude as if she didn't wanna be there and we were disturbing her. It was a busy night where they have the flip a coin and you either pay or don't pay for what your order. Pretty busy night and ambience was really cool. Wouldn't go back if they have people like this girl serving- very dismissive. This was on a Thursday about 3-4 weeks ago.

Justin F.

Yelp
The place itself looked ok and so did the menu. However, the owner was letting everyone off on 6/13 although they had the next day off which was a Monday. Owner was acting like a jerk and acting pretty rude. When asked why he let his staff off on this particular Sunday, he responded with, "My staff killed it yesterday and so I let them off." Understandable if they didn't have the day off the next day. We may come again but no guarantee that we will. Oh and as we walked off, visibly pissed, the owner shouted at us, "Have a good one, bud!" very sarcastically. Seemed like he was trying to antagonize us. Nonetheless, not sure about the staff, but the owner definitely brings down the restaurant atmosphere by a lot.

Lexi V.

Yelp
Everything was so yummy. The corn dog bites are to die for, and the fries were pretty good too!

Brad B.

Yelp
Love that they try these pop ups events but they need to clearly advertise that this hamburger restaurant is 21 and up. We were denied entry by a bouncer at a hamburger place that was themed as The Simpsons. We knew we wouldn't be able to go to the Simpsons themed BAR next door but in a shocking turn of events, The Whippersnapper bar actually graciously let us inside to look around. Looking back, one or two of High Fives Facebook ads say 21+ but not the most recent ones. I just think if you're going to have a kids TV showed themed place that's only available to adults, it should be in giant block letters before people with kids travel across the whole metroplex to eat dinner there - but that's just me.

Fiona C.

Yelp
Went in on a Saturday afternoon with about a total of 10 other people in the bar. Ordered Irish car bombs. They were served incorrectly. Tried to have them remade and tried to charge us twice. Moments later we tried to close out and gave us the wrong card, and charged gratuity. Not a very professional or friendly establishment. We won't be returning anytime soon.

Melissa M.

Yelp
My drink was served in a plastic glass which is not environmentally friendly please encourage this establishment to "go green" with glass cups or biodegradable drink cups. We are killing this planet.

Madison S.

Yelp
This place is just full of weirdos. Really loved this place until 2021. The new staff is a pos. They are actually so rude and I'm so sad. I brought my friends here from New York and they were so rude. Thanks for not letting my friend in. Really upset. Please don't come here due to the service. You'll wanna cry

Dominic A.

Yelp
I've only been here at the bar seen on weekend nights. But I love it. Great lights, usually a small line later in the night, and right next to everything else that's going off

Chantal A.

Yelp
The bar tender was rude and disrespectful. He yelled at my friend for serving herself water from a water jug which appeared to be for customers, as it was on the bar top. My friend was kicked out of the bar by the bar tender for this reason after calling him disrespectful.

nikki m.

Yelp
Get the Sunday sandwich and thank me later (think chickfila chicken sandwich but thicker, juicer and on a Hawaiian sweet roll bun instead) So good!!!!

Camille I.

Yelp
I've been coming to high fives for a while. Flip nights (an event on Thursdays where you flip a coin with the bartender to pay either full price or a dollar), are usually pretty fun but last night I had a pretty rude and aggressive bartender, he didn't flip a coin for me, just immediately charged me and when I tried to wave him down because he was moving onto the next customer, he threw his hand in my face and mockingly yelled at me. Bouncers next to the bar just laughed. I walked away embarrassed and honestly very upset. After speaking with friends, apparently this particular bartender is consistently rude and lies about what was flipped and called on the coin. If you're going to have a special event that people specifically come out for, make sure your staff is actually doing what they're supposed to. I understand service is hard on it's employees sometimes but this dude didn't even acknowledge me as a person and left me feeling horrible.

Joel M.

Yelp
Probably the nastiest bar I've ever been to, if I could give negative star rating I would. There were maggots in my burger patty and they wouldn't even refund my money after showing them. The unprofessional bouncers are also a bunch of douchebags and need to go back to high school to learn a thing or two about people. Very awkward and weird guys, GIRLS DO NOT GO HERE!

Symone L.

Yelp
Went for happy hour. $5 tequila shots, cocktails, sandwiches. Food was okay. Drinks were not that good. Super salty and weak. Overall had a good time. More of a nighttime spot.

Gill S.

Yelp
A casual, open spaced bar/restaurant that's an OK place to hang out with friends. The Totchos were satisfying, but they werent spectacular. The tots were crumbly, the ingredients were fresh, but it felt like it was made with no love. I will say the salsa took me by surprise in flavor. The guacamole was at least fresh, but Ive had way better elsewhere. Presentation wise it looked nice. The el camina (with fried chicken substituted was satisfying, but it didnt stand out as anything memorable. It held together, but I feel the sandwich overall got a little mushy. My biggest problem was the lack of bold flavors in this sandwich. Their cocktails are hit or miss. I forgot what we ordered, but they were quite weak and watery in flavor. Overall, Im not that impressed with the setup. Its not horrible, but I wouldn't go back. I would convince my friends to go somewhere else if they wanted to go here.

Amy D.

Yelp
High Fives gets a high five from me. I like the atmosphere, playful theme and music (lots of Johnny Cash the night we stopped in). The chill patio is super pup friendly, I would definitely consider bringing Nala on our next visit. High Fives has a good happy hour Monday-Friday 4pm7-pm and all night on Tuesdays. Deals include $5 sandwiches, cocktails, wine and beer. The drink menu has something for everyone, they are stirring up craft cocktails, frozen concoctions, lots of beer on tap/beer/can and wine. We did not eat but I was eying up the watermelon & Feta salad, Mediterranean board and the brunch items.

Nicole H.

Yelp
Came for Happy Hour on a kind of cold and wet Thursday evening. Parked on the street to avoid valet. There were not many people inside, but some folks did start showing up after we got there. Service was quick and very sweet. Can't beat their HH deals with $5 cocktails and sandwiches! Hubby got the Big Dipper and I got the Left Coaster-we also shared an order of the tots with cheese. Everything was great (and a lot of food-yay for leftovers). I plan to come back with the pups and check out the patio sometime when the weather is better.

Sam W.

Yelp
Came for a nice relaxing evening. The bouncer (beard, backwards hat) was genuinely incompetent. He let people he knew cut the line entirely and when we were trying to get his attention he attempted to kick members of our party out. He told members of the party that they were not welcome there and did not provide any relevant explanation. If this is how patrons are treated at this bar when attempting to just enter the premises, I wish everyone the best of luck.

Farheen I.

Yelp
This place has been like 4 things in the 6 years I've been in Dallas. Not sure what that is about, but if history tells you anything, you better enjoy it before they shut their doors 6-8 months from now. This is a typical college bar that focuses on cheap beer, and (weirdly) Mediterranean inspired dishes. The food menu doesn't make sense to me, given the drink menu. The food is average and the drinks are fine. It does get very crowded in here on weekends, but Dallas is fickle, so this place better find a better way to stay in business than what it's currently doing.

Steve V.

Yelp
I came here on a Saturday night and it was packed. A very young, fratty crowd. We waited in line for about 5 minutes and there was no cover. The bar areas were packed and it took some time to get a drink. That said, it is a good vibe with half of the place being outdoors. It was impossible to get a table so we stood the whole time. Again, it was super crowded so of course there was a line for the bathroom, even for the men. What threw me off in the bathroom was the attendant.I didn't think this was that kind of place. Additionally, on the back of the stall, there was instructions for how to tip the bathroom attendant via Venmo. Talk about keeping up with the times! I'm sure this place is great when it is not as crowded.

Courtney C.

Yelp
Randomly ended up here on a Friday after wanting to get out for happy hour. The $5 cocktails were alluring (although not the current drinks on website). I had 2 pineapple expresses and one strawberry margarita. I loved the pineapple but it has jalapeños so if you don't like spicy drinks, don't get it!! Our server, Morgan, was pretty attentive and friendly. The late night crowd hadn't arrived yet and so we had plenty of space. My friend's dog was treated like a king and not a nuisance so that was nice to see. I would definitely come back.

Katina D.

Yelp
High Fives is one of those places you go to watch a football game when the weather is perfect. I was a little confused where the entrance was located and it seemed a little awkward walking through the outside patio area. I thought the outdoor patio with the fire place was really cute and perfect for the weather when it gets a little chilly outside. I enjoyed the actual restaurants itself more than what the restaurant had to offer (menu wise). I ordered the El Jefe sandwich with the brussel sprout salad for dinner. I feel as if the restaurant should have offer more dinner option items. Personally, I'm not much of a fan of ordering a lunch sandwich for dinner. Anways, I was really big fan of the brussel sprout salad and its something you should definitely order if you decide to make the choice to come to this establishment. The El Jefe sandwich was mediocre and Im not sure if there was much to even be said about it. Overall: I thought High Fives was okay. I would come back here to just have a drink and watch a game.

Yelp
This place can be a hit or miss. Thursdays, they do a special where the bartender flips a coin to determine if you pay for your drinks; it is a lot of fun. However, occasionally you get a bartender who isn't paying attention and accidentally charges you when you called the correct flip. It is a fun gimmick, but it can be a let down when that happens. If are looking to come down here specifically for the Thursday night special, I'd recommend typing out what you are choosing haha, otherwise you might have a bartender say "I'm sorry I'm not arguing" when you win. I recommend this place to people who are looking for a decent spot on Thursday nights, but there are some other fun places around Dallas like Punchbowl that offer a better experience without the gimmicks.

Yelp
Attempted to go on 12/07 at 9 pm. They have a basketball hoop outside of the bar. Because my friend decided to jump up and try to touch the rim, we were not allowed into the bar by the bouncer. Most rude, unwelcoming experience. Will not be back.

Yelp
If you want to go to a bar with an asshole bouncer that will harass you while trying to have a drink with your buds look no further. The bearded bouncer that they have there was on some weird power trip last night and completely ruined the mood of the night. It is normally a really fun and chill place to grab a drink, but since they have guys like him running security we won't be coming back.

Yelp
What a fun place! I came here for a drink after work on the Thursday before Halloween. The place was already decked out in spooky decorations (giant spider webs, disembodied hands, skulls, spiders, paper bats) and the every staff member was dressed in costume. Our server was dressed as a pirate and stayed true to character, calling my friend and I "lass" throughout the evening. They serve food, but it really is more of a bar than a restaurant. When we ordered our drinks, our server asked if we wanted to start a tab. When we said no, we'd just pay, we thought it was understood that we wanted to order some food first, but our server brought our checks right away. Of course she took them away when we explained that we also wanted to eat (our server was super nice and chill throughout the evening). But after we ordered our food we cashed out right away, so the place is definitely run more like a bar than a restaurant. We were fortunate enough to arrive during Happy Hour, when everything on their menu (except for the dip boards and wine bottles) is $5. My friend and I both ordered the Eastciders Texas Honey Cider (usually $6) and she got a BLT while I ordered some tater tots for us to share. The BLT looked great (it had an egg on it! And fried green tomatoes!) and my friend loved it. The tater tots were good! Pretty much your standard tater tots. Warm and salty and served with ketchup. I think you can also get them with cheese on them, if you want. I also ordered Zapp's Chips, thinking they were housemade chips, but I guess Zapp's is a brand, and I was given a little foil bag of potato chips. Only $1.50. They had some great tunes playing, and by 6:30 the place was hopping. It was a really festive atmosphere. Given the good Happy Hour deals, the friendly staff and the fun ambience, I think we'll be making it a go-to place for after work drinks.

Yelp
Pretty cool little place & much improved from the biergarden. I stopped in just for a drink so I haven't tried the food yet. There are a few beers on tap & an additional selection of canned beer for $3-7 to choose from. There is also a large cocktail menu that looks delicious but at $10 a cocktail, I passed. Happy hour runs through 2 am M-F but not sure what all that entails. The food menu is small, mostly sandwiches and a few flatbreads but looks worth checking out. HIGH FIVE!
