Food was pretty descent. Our service not so great though. The waitress was nice but took a while to come back for our order. We were about to leave when she came back. Then she took a long time to check back at the end of our meal.. The place was pretty empty maybe another 2 tables, one of which was being served by a very attentive server. I think she noticed the same and took initiative to got the attention of our server. Overall left feeling underwhelmed and slightly dissatisfied in the experience. Wouldn’t return here.

First time visit, what a hidden gem of this area. Randie and in training, Jennifer were spot on with their attention to detail. To the chefs; tastes that are super delicious. The steaks were perfectly cooked. You truly deliver something beyond any other place in this area. You will NOT go wrong eating here and supporting local. Stop looking and eat here!!

I finally got to check this place out! I had no idea that they work with a number of local chefs, and with Atrisco Heritage Academy students where my son went to HS! My bartender & server was Randi S., who was phenomenal! I've had this place on my "want to try" list and I finally got to go (unfortunately I only had like a hour to enjoy). My server was beyond above & amazing! She was knowledgeable answering my questions and about the menu, super friendly, fast & accurate, just wonderful! Unfortunately, all I got was the Blood Orange Cider and the Spicy Queso and chips. Of course the Cider was delicious and refreshing with it being 104° outside! The Queso was described on the menu as "HOT" with a dusting of Chimayo powder. I eat super hot chile (Lumbré red & green) so it wasn't spicy to me, but I could definitely see how it would be spicy to others. It was good, don't get me wrong, but it had a "grainy" texture, even though it was pretty thin, and the green chile skins were quite abundant, which I don't particularly care for. I did see a number of things on the menu that I wanted to try though, just didn't have time this visit, but I'll be back for sure to get them! Oh yeah, I sat all the bar, right in front of the open kitchen, and everything I could see was super clean & organized as well! Everything was yummy, can't wait to go back for a full meal experience!!!

Google
Randi and Jennifer were great. We had the High Point Mac and the Filet Cheesesteak. Excellent. Randi did recommend the Cheesesteak, I already decided I was getting that. Very friendly host and cook. We were able to complement the cook on the way out. We will be back to try their award winning cobbler.

Came here the other night for the first time and was blown away by the food! I got the Filet Cheesesteak and wow!!! Best cheesesteak I've ever had! I also got a cup of the French Onion soup which was a Valentine's weekend special, but complimented the sandwich perfectly! My gf also got an Apple and Brie pizza, didn't get a full photo, but it was very yummy too! High Point grill was fantastic and all the awards that hang in the front of the restaurant are well deserved!

Google
We really enjoyed this place. They have excellent burgers and other grilled sandwiches. I personally loved their Filet Cheesesteak sandwich and mac n cheese. They also have a superb selection of local microbrews. Our server was amazing, too. Unfortunately, I don't remember her name, but it is a younger lady in glasses. She was very fast, attentive, and helpful. The nachos were nice but a bit too spicy for me.

We had a wonderful experience here, being our first time dining here. They were able to work with our dietary restrictions and were so kind about it. The staff was knowledgeable and made sure everything was safe for us to eat. It's hard for us to dine out, I am so glad we went and will be returning! Thank you for making it a wonderful experience!

We came for dinner about 7 pm. They had a big party, but our wait was only a few minutes. Our waitress, Zee, was amazing! She was quick and even remembered to bring my son's chocolate milk with his meal. We ordered the Green Chili Chicken Philly, the Chicken Bacon Ranch and a Cheeseburger. All were delicious! Their fries are amazing. I would definitely recommend this place and come back.

Yelp
All I have to say about this place and their service is... WOW!!! Absolutely amazing and delicious

Yelp
The green chile Mac and cheese here is really good. I placed an order finally after hearing all the hype. I'd love to come back and try some other Items soon!

Yelp
I hadn't tried this place for a few years. Hamburgers were good, skinny fries delicious, prices over the top. Service was ok but a little slow considering it wasn't very busy.

Yelp
When I say WOW, I mean WOOOOOWWW! I went with high expectations and I was absolutely not disappointed! We got there and parking is a bit cramped due to the location, but we were still able to find an open spot. Going inside it is much larger than it looks from the outside. We were sat quickly. And our waitress came over to check on us and take our orders right away. She was very friendly and quick to come when she saw we were ready, but not overly attentive to make us feel rushed. We ordered wings to share, which were the best wings I've had! They were crisp, but not greasy. They were not overly seasoned but a good balance. They were a great size. And man they were delicious! Had also heard amazing things about their burgers. We also ordered a sunrise burger to share and it also was delicious. The meat was fresh and quality tasting. The patty was thick and well seasoned. The bun was toasted perfectly. Best burger! Craving another as I type this! Can't wait to return to try a different flavor of wings as well!

Yelp
Best Green Chile Cheese Burger and Mac and Cheese in New Mexico! Chef Mike White is a culinary genius that brings the flavor every time you visit. We've been fans since his early days up in Mariposa almost ten years ago. Treat yourself to a local meal supporting a local business that puts back into the community with his charity @505foodfights.

Yelp
High Point Grill has decent food and a nice atmosphere, but it felt a bit overpriced for what it was. The quality was good, just not quite in line with the price point for me. Worth trying, but not sure it'll be a regular spot.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch after a little walk. We were seated quickly and got waited pretty fast. My wife had the regular burger with garlic fries and I had the burger that comes with jalapeños. They were both delicious and the fries were very tasty. This will definitely be my go to spot for burgers.

Yelp
Fantastic grilled burgers, great staff, very helpful and kind, this is a great spot for family and friends to hang out and enjoy each other's company. Small menus done right! This place has what everyone wants, drinks, pizza, tacos and burgers, along with some other great options! We were impressed with the quality of the food, I would personally consider the burgers gourmet, grilled perfection!

Yelp
High point is so bomb it's incredible. I've gone too many times to count and it has never faltered. The Mac is top tier, but I gotta say they have the best Philly cheese ever. If you are a simpleton who enjoys cheese whiz, this isn't for you. This is elevated- garlicky and toasted. The other standout is the garlic fries, top notch fr. The staff is excellent, and another perk is their water/ soda cups are huge so you don't have to keep asking for refills. Mr. White you are a visionary.

Yelp
I have lots of thoughts, feelings, and questions about this place but I'll keep this simple. Great food!!!

Yelp
This local restaurant has amazing burgers, fries and their Mac N Cheese variations are delicious.

Yelp
In the pouring rain - we would go again. Traveling from Houston to Albuquerque to visit my son and his girlfriend. We were looking for a place to eat. I will say it took us a while to find this location because of the way it's tucked in. It was absolutely pouring rain and the parking is not that easy.. I would do it again pouring rain and all! My burger was absolutely the best I've had in two decades ! Absolutely cooked to perfection! My son had the wings and was absolutely thrilled with his choice ! His girlfriend had the macaroni and cheese with beef on top .... She said it was over the top! If you haven't been, I suggest you go! They serve white claw into flavors .... In cold glasses The service was great! I'm hoping to be back in October and I will be getting another hamburger.

Yelp
This is a Grill. Expect a Grill: pizza, sandwiches, salads, and some kiddo food. The staff was kind, they have crayons for kiddos to use on the table, and the cost wasn't too expensive ($90 for an appetizer, 2 meals, 2 adult beverages, 1 dessert). The hard part was exiting & parking-- it's fairly difficult depending on what way you're driving. The tacos & green chile cheese fries were good. 9/10 recommend

Yelp
I'm writing this review after a few visits. We had heard so many good things about High Point, my boyfriend and I had to try it our for ourselves. We'd actually heard that the pizza is what we need to try. Believe it our not, the first two visits, they weren't making pizza! Like at all. We were very disappointed. We had pizza on our minds. We settled for a burger and some mac n cheese. The burger, was outta control! Huge burger. So if you are ordering a burger, you best be hungry. He didn't finish it so we took the other half home. Their Mac n Cheese though. It's good. A nice healthy adult serving. Meaning, twice as much as you were served as a kid, always hoping your parents would give you more. LOL. I had leftovers too. When did make it back, and they WERE making pizza. We got a NM classic combo, pepperoni and green chile. That day, my boyfriend got the Chicken Fajita Mac. The pizza was good, don't get me wrong but I think the chicken fajita mac was definitely the better dish. I had slice of the pie and then started scarfing his bowl! hahaha. I would boast more on their mac and cheese then their pizza. Their servings are big which I think helps to offset the price of most dishes. Overall I'm a fan. I'm craving that chicken fajita mac n cheese as we speak.

Yelp
I've read ALLLLLLL the reviews for this joint and am pleased to report we hit it on a very, very good day. This isn't haute cuisine, but it is comfort/casual food at its best. Reviewing the menu, they offer burgers and sandwiches, pizzas, a whole section on Mac and Cheese and apps (we had chips/salsa and my husband had the nachos for lunch). I ventured into the pizza arena and thoroughly enjoyed the barbecue pizza. In fact, I might even say it's been my favorite pizza in Albuquerque. The crust is thin enough to let the toppings be the star, but it's firm enough not to buckle under the weight of all the goodness on top. Everything was delicious, served piping hot and fresh. The chips are a lot like the Chili's chips, thin and salty, and the salsa had a good helping of garlic and not tooooo much heat. Alternatively, both the nachos and the pizza packed some serious heat, the pizza from sliced fresh jalapeños and the nachos from green chile in the queso and jalapeños on top. My eyes were watering before too long, in the best possible way. My husband loved his nachos (although he said he'd add beans as well as the chicken he ordered next time) and as I already said, I loved the pizza. We even contemplated dessert, but since we already had take-home we decided against it. There was an apple pie/cobbler option that looked pretty good! I'm not sure why people were complaining about pricing. The pizza was $14 and it was easily enough for 2, and the nachos were less than that and also easily enough for 2. Our entire table with sodas (they have Coke Zero!) and the appetizer was $40. I consider that middle of the pack pricing. Service was where this visit shone. From the "welcome friends" mere seconds after we walked in to the multiple soda refills to the guidance on what to order, everyone here was friendly and attentive and we loved the entire visit. We will definitely come back... great experience start to finish.

Yelp
We went for the first time about a week ago. Since it was our first we ordered different burgers and a pizza. Wow, the burgers and pizza were amazing. They took good care of us with service and food. Loved it!!!

Yelp
Excellent food, friendly and helpful staff. Good portions too, even took the leftover salsa to go.

Yelp
We came on a Friday night, and we're pleased there was no wait. The ambience was low key and the service attentive without interfering. The burgers were delicious. Tender and juicy with lots of great flavor. Nice beer selection. The queso on those fries was amaaaaazing. A little on the pricey side, but we'll definitely be back. I want to try one of the Mac & cheeses!

Shawn F.

Yelp
Some of the best burgers in Albuquerque. Queso is okay. I feel like it's good for Albuquerque, but still has room for improvement. Service has always been really good when I've gone. They forget one thing maybe every other visit. Environment is a little dark for my taste but still nice. I also like that the ability to draw on the table.
google avatar

Yelp
We don't venture to the west side much, but I may have to start going more. This place was reallllly good. Our table got the Steak Pizza, the Filet Cheesesteak, the campfire burger, green chilli cheese fries, and Beer. There wasn't one bite I took that wasn't great! Everything was cooked to perfection. The Filet cheesesteak was packed with flavor! The green chilli cheese fries were exceptional, and the Pizza blew our minds. Never thought to get steak on pizza but it's the move here! Beers good to......service was great. A bit pricey for what it is, but I'm okay paying a bit extra for great food and service! Can't wait to come back for more!

Yelp
We have given this location several attempts and we really want to like it. The food tastes great and the staff is awesome but the management/owner has some areas of opportunity. We noted toward the end of last year to the beginning of 2024 that the front table and chair sets were replaced with second hand booths. The trouble is that they are cracked and covered in old serving napkins. At first and seconds glance they are at best, faded and look dilapidated. We have asked them several times, over the last 4 months, if they are planning on getting them reupholstered, and have been told several times it is in the works. Sadly, they are still really bad. Most recently, I went to lunch with 3 friends and had a terrible, "upsell" experience. Two of the party ordered burgers and were recommended, by the server, to upgrade to a side of mac and cheese, "for only $3." The server showed them all the Mac options and stated how well known they were for this item. What we weren't informed of, is that not all Mac were the same. Needless to say, at the end of the meal each were charged a $13 "up charge" rather than only $3. When we asked the manager they shared this was a, "common complaint and several people were upset by not knowing that not all macaroni dishes were the same cost." They explained the owner was aware of the issue and elected to not have their staff proactively share the cost discrepancy and the difference would not be waived. It feels as though, although this location has good food, they cut costs and offer some odd sales practices that will be keeping us from dining there any time again soon. Again, we really really wanted to like the place but with the high price points, outdated benches and now what felt like a lack of up front communication, I think we are going to take a break. Hopefully, the east side location is getting a little more attention. FYI, the manager and chef are epic, the issue lies with the waitress's positioning and the owner's policies.

Yelp
Great food, great service and chill ambiance! What's not to like? First time trying high point and it definitely did not disappoint! Something for everyone and nobody left hungry by any means! That jalapeño popper pizza is amazing and was so fresh! Those seasoned fries were also delicious! Pork belly was flavorful but not gonna lie some pieces were a little tough, however still overall delicious and our family will most definitely be returning to try their loaded Mac & cheese! We didn't try it but saw someone's order and it also looked delicious! Wait staff was super attentive and our family had fun playing tik tak toe on their paper table covers so kudos to them for that touch.
google avatar

Susan W.

Yelp
We were greeted when we walked in and told it was going to be a minute. It was. We could see that the waitstaff was running around trying to keep everyone happy. They were hustling! We did eventually get a table. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and very pleasant. It did take a bit to get our food. But not from lack of effort. Everyone was working hard and doing their best. Food was good ~ my French fries were awesome! They use a great coarse ground salt that was super good.
google avatar

Greg G.

Yelp
The service was outstanding, and the food was good. But they gave us a very small amount of food. We won't go there again. We don't want full plates, but we were hungry when we left.

George E.

Yelp
In Albuquerque and I was encouaged by friends to try High Point Grill for lunch. The reviews stated it was good Italian, Cajun / Creole and sandwiches. We ordered the shrimp po-boy sandwich and carne asada tacos with chips and salsa. The restaurant was fairly busy for the lunch crowd. The shrimp po-boys was packed with little room for all the ingredients and five jumbo shrimp. I would have to say it resembled more of a de- constructed sandwich than a traditional sandwich that was "dressed". It definitely could of used more sauce as it was very dry. The carne asada tacos were good but the stale chips were disappointing. The wait staff was missing in action after the meals were delivered and took 20 minutes to get us the check after she was given the credit card. I will not be returning as I found no effort to make the meal memorable. The food was adequate andservice was poor. High Point needs to focus on their food, service and taking care of the patrons that frequent their establishment.
google avatar

Melissa D.

Yelp
I hesitate to leave such a bad review, as the staff were clearly trying their best. We waited a while for a table, but understandable. We were seated, and though the wait to put in a drink order was a little longer than normal, again, we figured they were busy. We ordered two beers and some water, and waited again for a bit. One of the beers was out of stock, so waited some more for a replacement. (Our server was lovely and friendly, though. Got the feeling they were understaffed.) By now we were quite hungry, and figured dinner might take a while, so we ordered the "trio" appetizer. When it came...yuck. Salsa was plainly from a jar and absolutely flavorless. Guac was likewise obviously Costco, though not terrible, just bland. Chips were flavorless and so thin they didn't really hold up to even the salsa without crumbling. And the queso--YUCK. Tasted like old flour and nothing else. How is it possible to make queso this gross? We were "impressed." We called our server over to send it back. She was super understanding, and asked if we would give the kitchen a chance to make it right. We couldn't imagine how they could make it right without absolutely everything being completely different, but we still had beer, so we said sure. Needless to say, we got the appetizer back and it was exactly the same. We paid and left, and went to find another restaurant for dinner.

Yelp
We came for our first visit after several glowing recommendations. This place was top notch! Our server, Emily , was the perfect amount of attentive and had a great sense of humor. We ordered the pork belly Mac which was a great portion with lots of pork belly. We also split the Buffalo chicken pizza and the steak with white sauce pizza. The Buffalo sauce had such a depth of flavor and wasn't just a spicy vinegar bomb. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
So good i ate here twice over the weekend Carne pizza the 2nd time, sausage goodness ! Mac and cheese is wonderful Burgers are terrific Glad we now have a neighborhood hangout serving local beers on tap Definitely give it a try soon

Yelp
Great food but they don't seem to want anyone to know it. They don't participate on DoorDash or any other delivery apps. They don't have online ordering. If we want a to go order, we have to call repeatedly until we don't get a busy signal. And you have to already know the menu, because they don't have it posted online anywhere. Now they are closed on Monday and Tuesday, only open for dinner during the week and closed at 4pm on Sunday. Their burgers are huge, amazingly tasty and messy! Their mac and cheese is to die for! Ambience is nice. Service is great! Good luck catching them when they are open or getting a to go order from them! But it is worth the extra work! I have posted pictures of their menu to help you out.

Doug L.

Yelp
First time at High Point Grill...Good environment with great food and great service! Burgers were cooked perfect, lots of flavor.

Steve V.

Yelp
Pleasant little place for pub food, more restaurant than just pub. The burger was fresh, well-prepared and the side of mac'n'cheese was good. The service was attentive when needed. My take was 3 1/2 stars-good to very good.
google avatar

Jared C.

Yelp
We went at 2pm on a Sunday had to wait about 20 minuets for a table and after we were seated we watched the one server in the area we were seated take care of all the tables around us and not give my wife, myself and two children a second look. We left after 15 minutes of not receiving so much as a "sorry you've been waiting, I'll be right with you". We're definitely not returning.
google avatar

Roberta G.

Yelp
Pizza & Salad & Brewskies, HOT Green Chile! Yum. Delish combination. One of our Fav places...always good! Friendly staff.

Nora G.

Yelp
Best hamburgers ever! Really good fries. We had green chile cheese fries and Asiago fries. Both were delicious. Excellent service. Nice seating area. Great beer selection.

Punkin O.

Yelp
Depending on the visit, it can be the best burger you'll ever eat or it can be very mediocre. Consistency has been an issue for me. Maybe not for anybody else, but it has been for me. Not to mention the price of their food has increased by over 50% in the last two years. My last burger and fries was nearly $25 (w/o a drink). Pretty steep.
google avatar

Jb A.

Yelp
Came in to watch an Opening day of March Madness Game. Game sucked but holy wow! Cheese fries. Then we got the Hamburger with an egg and the Jalapeno Popper pizza. I will start with the pizza. it was ok, could tell the effort that went into the fresh Japs and all the cream cheese was great. But, when you stack it up to that burger that we got Medium Rare. It really was not in the same league. The Burger at that level needs more of the old fashion cloth napkins. Because an egg and just over the line from rare meat are a sprinkler of flavor. Wish we have been there on a day they did one of there off menu specials. It is baseball season so there is plenty of games on the midday tv make better with food.

Rita B.

Yelp
Living on the "other side of the river" in Albuquerque, my friend and I ventured to "the other side." We found High Point Grill via Siri, and we truly wanted a local experience. Confession: The best pizza we have ever eaten ... thin crust with a pillow of crust on the outside. Served hot. Queso and chips were our starter. X Hot Hatch Green Chili was on the side. I'm originally from Michigan, so I'm leaning toward the spicy after 5 years. We did, however, have the chili on the side. In the end, we mixed it all in the queso. Delightful! Our young, sweet waitress was attentive and helpful. Plus, the Chardonnay was my favorite! Even though this place is a good 40 minutes from our homes in Eldorado Heights, we will be back again with more friends. Thank you for such delicious food and wonderful service!

Mary C.

Yelp
I have finally found the best burgers in ABQ! Thick, juicy and cooked to order! I am so happy!
google avatar

Mark A.

Yelp
Nice restaurant with an award winning chef. The service was excellent. We had the chips and salsa which was very good. I had the Grilled chicken and avocado salad. It was very good and nice to have a healthy option. My wife had the mushroom pizza and had grilled chicken added to it. I had some of hers so I can attest it was delicious. They have a bar in the front area but they don't serve cocktails. Beer and wine only.
google avatar

Dwayne R.

Yelp
The filet cheesesteak was much better the first time I had it. For the money (19.95) it cannot be hit or miss. The Mac and cheese was good, the burger was good as well but pricey.

Russell H.

Yelp
Great food, okay atmosphere, friendly staff. 8 out of 10 recommended. Usually busy on weekends.
google avatar

Christine C.

Yelp
This is the first time we have ever come to this restaurant. What caught our eye was the Cajun good. We only found one poor boy on the menu. A little discounted but we ordered a southwest cheese burger and a bacon and blue burger. We were wowed with the first bite. The fries were amazing. I added cheese and green chili to mine and my husband added some fries with hot sauce. Both were amazing. Our waitress was the best. It was so hot out she kept our teas refilled and brought extra ice. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Ruby G.

Yelp
Decided to update my review because this place has changed, for the worse unfortunately. A year later and they still haven't updated the website. However, they have updated the menu and got rid of all my favorite items No more fried artichoke appetizer, and no more teriyaki pork belly tacos. Figured I would try the teriyaki wings as a replacement but nope - they don't have those either. They've even taken pizza off the menu except for "Pizza Sundays" which seems pointless considering they close early afternoon on Sundays. It seems they want to focus on the burgers and macaroni and cheese. I rarely eat burgers and wasn't a fan of the mac so sadly, I won't be eating here nearly as often.

Yelp
The restaurant is clean, the service is like family, and the food is so delicious.... It's been a while, (before Covid) and we sort of forgot about high point, this was our go to place before, and we stopped in today..... it's changed at bit, but not for the worse, it's even more welcoming and delicious. The wings are amazing, my wife and I shared chicken Philly and it was amazing!!! You guys are the best!!!

Yelp
Enjoyed a great meal. Had the bbq chicken mac and cheese and loved it. Service was fantastic! Great environment, everybody was very friendly.

Yelp
I've seen recommendations of this place from Facebook and decided to try it. All I can say is wow. This is one of my boyfriend and I's favorite restaurant! We have gone here a couple of times and all times have been delicious! Their green Chile cheese fries are loaded and such a huge portion for a good price. I've had their Mac and cheese and sandwiches and they all are amazing. The servers are extremely nice and friendly! Highly recommend this place!

Avram L.

Yelp
We don't need no education....we had the shrimp and beef tacos....the shrimp was plump, juicy and perfectly cooked...the beef was overcooked with little seasoning...other than sauces...no other accompaniments...for these healthy prices, you would hope...for more? We don't need no thought control..the dessert of apple crumb cake and peanut butter ice cream (no ice given, to keep ice cream cold, on an 80 degree day)...was not pleasing. All in all this restaurant is just another brick in the wall. Hey Restaurants!..that can not uh-kom-uh-deyt our "take-out" mandate!, Leave us patrons alone!! Thanks for reading. Avram P. Floyd

Yelp
Always a Go-To with our family! Their burgers are delicious! The service is absolutely fantastic and the ambiance is really nice. Mary is our favorite server!

Yelp
Wow...wow....wow. So bummed. We've eaten here before and the food can be good but tonight? Wow...and not in a good way. Ordered a Starter right out of the gate and 50 minutes later, our server was apologizing because "the kitchen was really backed up with a 10 top and a 6 top"....seriously? A 10 top and a 6 top buried these guys??? What I saw was a line that had zero sense of urgency and a restaurant that was half full. Anyone ever try to wait 50 minutes with a hungry 2 1/2 year old? Lol. Not pretty. Lol. As we walked out / their had to have been 20-25 folks waiting to be seated. One table by us hadn't even ordered and they had been there for at least 25-30 minutes as well. I think they're weren't far behind us either... So what was the High Point? - Chick-Fil-A!! We got out there, sad to say and off to chick-fil-a we went. And as usual, fast service, tasty food with some healthy options...gracious service with a smile, a gratuitous "my pleasure" and vittles...all within about 3 minutes. It's very Unfortunate but I doubt we'll be back.
