High Street Philadelphia Review - Center City - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"High Street has baked some of the best bread in the city for over a decade. So it’s no surprise that their revamped all-day restaurant in Center City has good sourdough pizza during dinner as well as all the usual daytime pastries and sandwiches. You could come to their marble-heavy space at night and easily take down one of High Street's airy, thin-crust pies by yourself without feeling Thanksgiving levels of stuffed. High Street also makes good cocktails and seasonal American food to share, like a nicely dressed tahini caesar and a juicy roast chicken on top of schmaltzy bread that's brightened up by a side of chicories. We’ve had just as many hits as misses, though. (Brisket ragu on the rye creste di gallo is oily, and squid with braised cannellini beans and broccoli rabe needs some more fireworks or maybe just more salt.) So dominate the table with pizza, salad, and drinks, and the restaurant will be a great choice for a post-work situation or maybe dinner before a show." - Candis R. McLean

This is a review of High St Farmers Market It’s a good farmer’s market but there’s rarely much produce. For the most part, it’s a craft market with some prepared foods and dog treats thrown in. Plus, being in Scottsdale, it has Scottsdale prices. It’s still fun to wander around for 30 minutes.

I love High Street! We stay at the Marriott Canyon Villas a short walk away and make a point to come here every year. Lots of great food options and just such a nice atmosphere with a cool vibe. My new favorite place is Soda Jerk, I hope they stick around for a long time.

Google
A very nice upscale street which is a corridor of retail shops, businesses, medical offices and great restaurants. There isal smoke people off the main street. It's worth a stop there to have lunch and take a walk

The cars and coffee car show today was held here, and i have to say it was a perfect spot for a show, and the staff did such a great job coordinating this event. This shopping center is absolutely clean and wonderful with lots of choices. I definitely recommend this spot for sure.

Google
MM has been on High street since the street was first opened. They have a great following and always have lots of toppings from the kitchen. If it's your first time in expect a different taste with the crust.

Google
Really nice area but kinda dead. If you like ice cream treats, Soda Jerk is a must but bring someone to share with as their creations are as humongous as they are delicious!

Yelp
I work in one of the buildings located on high street. From the day I stepped into high street there's nothing but falling in love. The whole street has lots of places to eat and each one is unique in its own ways. It's such a nice locality to live, so NY vibe. Restaurants and art galleries at the bottom and residency at the top. Desert ridge is walkable distance. Now, for the holidays it's so beautiful, with a huge Christmas tree, lightings and the whole street is beautiful. The value it adds to the Phoenix market is impressive, there's so much to do, live music, happy hour, farmers market, brunch spot, sprouts, sea food and sushi place, dessert, art gallery, dentist, orthodontist, pizza, wine, tikka shack and much more. I totally dig this place and wish it just grows and grows

Yelp
This is an upscale shopping area with restaurants and storefronts. If you're familiar with Kierlandi, in Scottsdale it is similar to that. There's a hair salon, The workout area, and olive oil company, lots of restaurants and other shopping. It was strangely deserted today. I believe the weekends might be different. I also noticed a place called Pinterest where you can DIY your art items. Lots of free parking right across from Desert Ridge marketplace.

Yelp
Safe, sassy and satisfying few blocks of various stores from ice cream, spa, gym, market to several restaurants and a great comedy club. Easy peasy parking and bright attractive lights to stroll under. Seems like a festive night out.

Yelp
Great place to just hangout and eat. There's some cute string lights hanging. There's even a sprouts here! There's a lifetime fitness, mellow mushroom, and more restaurants & bars. Also there's a nail bar & a massage place and a arts and crafts spot. There's also some apartments as well.

Yelp
High Street Phoenix offers the exclusive brands that are all here under one roof. Many designer labels have put up their stores here. Every shop we visited had such unique finds. Shop employees were so friendly and helpful. The ambience is totally classy and so is the infrastructure. Found unique food options surrounding the high street shopping this center. So, it's heaven providing shopping and dining options in one complex. Here you have fashions of the World and also cuisine of the World.

Yelp
High Street at night is beautiful! What a great place to shop, dine, spa, window shop. We loved the vibe and atmosphere. It has something for everyone. There are many fantastic dining options. Quite a few spas; nails, hair, massages. Boutiques and stores, commercial properties and condos. It's a great combination and a friendly and fun place to spend the evening. It was beautifully maintained.

Yelp
High Street has so many fun places to shop and experience. So glad I found this place. I never realized it was there, had only been to Desert Ridge marketplace before. But it's worth the trip. Fun restaurants, bars, gyms, salons, and shops. This would be an amazing place to live or work!! With so many things around you, I could really see myself enjoying life on High Street! Torch Cigar Bar is probably my favorite place on this strip, can't wait to come back and visit!

Yelp
Local fun under the sun and the stars. High Street is literally a street that includes commercial establishments, living, restaurants, services, shopping and lots of entertainment. I love to meet clients at some of the lovely dining establishments on the street. Then a safe place I go hang out at night as their is plenty going on. Check the website for their calendar of events. Lots of fun things going on throughout the month. Complimentary Self Parking is located along High Street and in the 53rd/54th St. Parking Garage. Valet Parking is available in front of Blue Martini. Have fun...

Yelp
We fully intended to have a nice dinner with friends here at Mellow Mushroom. But those plans were foiled. We parked on the top level of the parking garage. Low and behold, we hadn't been out of the car for more than 30 seconds before the security guard pulled up and told us "You aren't allowed to hang out up here." My girlfriend and I stood there in stunned silence. We didn't respond to his statement quick enough, so he immediately followed up with "That means you need to leave." We felt so spoken down to and insulted. What had we done wrong? As we sat in the car trying to figure out where else we could get dinner, he pulled up next to us not even five minutes later, telling us to leave again, this time getting out of his car and approaching us in our vehicle. When we said we were looking on our maps to go someplace else, we were told we "couldn't do that here" and "needed to look at our map someplace else." We left to have dinner elsewhere. Won't be back. 0/10

Yelp
Recently attended an event at High Street. Heard about it and really did not know what to expect. It is more than a shopping center. More of a community atmosphere. The buildings are two to three stories high with restaurants, salons, shops and bars on the ground floor. Office space and residences are located on the second and third floors. Really like the concept. Saw several of the establishments that. were participating in the event. Probably something for everyone in terms of food and entertainment including a comedy club, gym, a cigar bar, and a place to make small art pieces.

Yelp
Superb event Thank you to hailey and all the business for such a great event, It truly was a lovely event, the business came together to make it a memorable event.

Yelp
Used to have a bit more business prior to the pandemic. Some restaurants and or bar are closed and maybe forever. But still some nice businesses open. As far as restaurants nothing stands out but nothing is bad.

Yelp
Here is a fierce competitor to Old Scottsdale! Meet the personification of the millennials, a true new trend that is leading our world today. I loved browsing through the stores and entertaining places. Moreover l can see how nice it is to live there. There is no need to own a car because offices, grocery shopping, entertainment, social hang out, condos are right there within walking distance.

Yelp
I just moved into some condos right next door to High Street. Coming from LA, I guess I was expecting something different on High Street. Its not nearly as roudy as it might seem. The restaurants and shops near by are super classy. Keeps the riff raff away a bit. As for the night life, there are some very talented local artists that show up to these venues to perform. If you like some Jason Mraz quality acoustic, you'll love hanging out here on a Saturday evening. Lots of great places for drinks. It's kind of out of the way from many other bars, so don't plan on hopping around a lot. You'll not be too happy when your Uber bill gets so expensive. All in all, this is a high quality area to hang out.

Yelp
I love High street. A few city blocks with limited traffic to get your beauty on, shop in unique stores, eat, and drink. There is also a comedy club and cigar bar. I love to just walk up and down High Street and relax with the window shopping. To round up there is also a yogurt place, a spa, a cool christmas store, a gym, several bars, and several good restaurants. Enjoy.

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere of trendy shops, delicious restaurants & incredible nightlife. This quaint street lined with white lights & easy access parking in front of venues make this area more accessible than most places & highly sought after anytime of day or night. I have only been to Kona Grill & Blue Martini (both of which were yummy & fun) but I plan on working my way through the entire street in 2016. Best kept secret in the valley!

Yelp
Great area to shop and eat. There's also a nice sized gym, massage salon and residencies. Area is clean and employees I encountered were helpful and friendly.

Yelp
Had so much here! First we went to pinspiration and spent 5 hours painting. We then headed to blue martini for drinks and dancing. We ended our night with a late dinner at modern margaritta!!!! There literally is so much to do here; I suggest that you take your time and explore all it has to offer. I doubt you'll be disappointed

Yelp
Nice place to go out on a date or hang out with girl friends. I want to visit the comedy club there soon!

Yelp
Me and my 2 friends went to High Street this evening to have dinner and get a few drinks. I've previously spent a lot of time here and have always had a really great time. This evening was a different experience. We thought it would be fun to park at the very top of the parking garage because the sunset looked pretty and we wanted to grab a couple photos of it before dinner. We even parked next to the elevator as we planned on snapping a couple photos and then heading down. My two friends exited my car before I did...within 45 seconds of my two friends exiting my car, security drove up to them and stated "you can't hang out up here." My two friends didn't reply right away because they were confused why this was being said (we've parked in this garage several times before) after they didn't reply, the security man then told them "that means you need to leave." They both got back into the car and told me what happened. We were extremely disappointed and decided we would just go elsewhere for dinner and drinks. We then sat in my car for a couple minutes looking at maps and trying to decide where we now wanted to go for dinner. He then came back up to our car (we had only been there a couple minutes after he told us to leave) I opened my door and asked him "can I help you with something?" He was extremely combative and aggressive in his tone. He replied "you can. You can comply with my request to leave this parking garage." This entire experience was really catching me off guard as I've parked in this garage before without an issue. I explained to him we were looking at our maps trying to find where to go. He then told me "you need look at your maps somewhere else." His tone extremely aggressive. I replied "okay, you don't have to be a dick though." His reply to me was "YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A DICK." The conversation escalated with him becoming increasingly angry all while I was just trying to explain I needed to check my maps before leaving. The conversation ended with us just leaving, upset and confused. Will be hanging out elsewhere in the future as I feel very uncomfortable now even just parking in that area. Very disappointing.

Yelp
We love High Street. Plenty of great, unique choices in a new and nice setting. Never over crowded. Prices are not Scottsdale!

Yelp
High street is so close to desert ridge but such a different feel. The comedy house to the restaurants, Pinspiration and even condominiums.. it has such a cozy classy feeling to it! Everything is walking distance in this area and I love seeing people bar hoping on a Saturday night! If you are staying at the Marriott across the street this is the PERFECT place to head!

Brian S.

Yelp
Great place to hang out. Big city feel in a small district close to home. Love this place.
