Higher Ground

Great fluid space in wynwood, where you can enjoy views on "higher ground" & also escape the heat to nestle indoors. Interior is really Modern with nice touches, our bartender was AHMAZING. (Samantha I believe was her name) & they also have events regularly. And for a place where food isn't the main focus - the food was different and well executed. We tried the veggie burger with the chili relish & Tzatziki - very cool combo 🤙🌿

I went for an event and tried pizzas ranging in toppings from grapes, to mushroom truffle, to burrata. My favorite was the grape pizza because it added just a hint of unexpected sweetness 🍇. These were accompanied by Lush Life, a tequila-based fruity drink, and April's Passion, which is best described as a spicy margarita made with vodka 🌶🍋. Overall it was a decent vibe with decent food. What a nice place to come have a drink or even work. So many cute nooks. It's very relaxed and tropical up here with lovely chill music in the background. The Arlo hotel does not disappoint. I came for a figure drawing event by raw figs

This bar is really pretty and has great vibes! But one of the bartenders was discriminatory towards me and my friend so that is the reason for the one star. I asked for water and he brushed me off to go to another customer who was buying alcohol. Thankfully, that customer was kind enough to order me water since he overheard the bartender brushing me off. My friend (who is also a POC) was also trying to order drinks from that same bartender, also had a bad experience and could not order. He had to get one of our white male friends to order for him.

We went there for a quick lunch at 11:40am, but were told they opened at noon so we waited. As soon as it opened, we placed our quick bites. 45 mins later, we still haven’t got our food. The restaurant was empty, and the waiter didn’t go into the kitchen to check for our food (tiny pizza and chicken sandwich). The waiter wasn’t apologetic when bringing our food, and he even added service charge on our tab. They serve in plastic utensils…I should know better. Never go back again.

Place was nice with a cool ambiance. However, we only came here because they claimed to have a happy hour for drinks, and after being charged $20 for ONE glass of wine I doubt this is a place to call “good for “happy hour drinks”

The burgers were delicious 100% satisfied I would recommend it to everyone to come by and try them; i also wanna thanks to bartender Maria and Miguel and the manager Lorena for the best service

I went here for a special event and it's a beautiful space. Ordered their grilled wings and an old fashioned. The wings were tasty and had some white sauce/topping drizzled. I didn't like the old fashioned as it was too sweet. Everything was self service which could have been due to the event. The next day I didn't feel so well and the wings were the last thing I ate. Could have been that white sauce/topping. All in all, it's a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy the Miami skyline

I came here on a Tuesday night and was surprised by how cute this spot is. The outside venue is extremely spacious and has alot of seating. It's a cute spot to grab drinks and small bites. I had the burrata and it is absolutely delicious, the walnuts and pesto add a nice flavor to it. The service was great, the bartender on the outside bar was super sweet and attentive. She went out of her way to give me a bowl of water for my dog. I will be back!

Visited Higher Ground for a weekday lunch - both the food and the service were severely lacking! Ambiance: the outdoor rooftop deck is gorgeous! Variety of seating options with tons of natural plants/art intermixed. The ambiance is primarily the reason I didn't give a 1 star rating. Service: the bartender was nice, but the service was incredibly slow. We sat outside for a bit, but ended up walking inside to place our order. We waited over 30 minutes for our food and once it arrived, it was ice cold and hard. Food: Cheese Pizza and Avocado Salad - the cheese pizza looked and tasted like it came from a school cafeteria. It had the same texture as a frozen pizza. The salad had a nice and vinegary dressing, but it came with no greens. Definitely skip both items! TL;DR - the exterior is trendy, but the food and service need major improvements to match the ambiance. Pizza tastes like frozen grocery store pizza and service is incredibly slow!

I came here for a flea market that was held here. And wow I was blown away ! This location is one of nicest spots I've been to in Wynwood. The hotel is Arlo Hotels. As soon as you walk in it smells to good. The vibe is an artsy chill vibe. The higher ground is on the third floor. There is outdoor and indoor seating. . A great spot for those Instagram photos. Parking is the usual street parking. I am definitely coming back here with friends.

Cute spot in the middle of everything in Wynwood! Great party's on the weekend! I'll recommend it

Higher ground is an amazing place to go with a spouse or girlfriend on a nice date night beautiful view from the third floor of the hotel. The drinks were good. They have amazing pizza and great service a little pricey, but still a cool and nice hangout spot

I visited Higher Ground for a private event so have less experience with the day-to-day service/vibe but I thought the space was very impressive! You have a great outdoor space with some awesome views of the city. The stairway entrance into the rooftop area has a lot of character and helps create a cool ambiance. The cocktails and food we had at our event were high-quality and service was friendly. Definitely would check it out again when in Wynwood.

We enjoyed our time at the Elite event. The vibes were perfect, the people were amazing, the drinks were fantastic. I will definitely go back. It was my third time at this location

I had the pleasure of visiting this establishment recently and I must say, I was impressed with my experience. The pizza dishes were flavorful and the drinks were expertly balanced, making for a delightful culinary adventure. If you're familiar with MaryGolds Chef Brad Kilgore Pizza Freak, then you'll certainly recognize the exquisite bites served here. I would highly recommend this spot for those who are looking to indulge in a delicious cocktail and some delectable small bites. The ambiance is chic, modern and beautifully decorated, creating a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. The service was great, with the friendly staff going above and beyond to make sure that my visit was memorable. Special mention to the manager, Castiana, who was extremely nice and informative about the restaurant's history and specialties. Overall, this is a must-visit spot.

Happy hour 5pm to 7:30pm with cocktails $12, it's still under construction so it's a bit chaotic and smells of paint in places. The bar area is nice and has decent ambiance. I will come check it out again in a few months.

I love this place! They have great happy hour and monthly deals, and their album listening parties are great. Super cool atmosphere and drink ideas to match the church theme. Beautiful interior and patio. The service is good and the champagne and oysters are better!

I've come to Higher Ground twice now and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The first time was for an event and the second was for a chill night out. The bar is on the 3rd floor of the Arlo hotel in Wynwood and it's a lovely spot. You have an indoor and outdoor bar and a great view of downtown Miami from it. You have an array of drinks and beers and ample seating inside and outside. Staff is friendly and helpful. I've sat outside to enjoy the fresh air and view but inside the decor is just as great as outside. Definitely a nice and new spot in Wynwood!

Stopped in for happy hour with friends after work - great rooftop bar with lots of greenery in their outdoor seating. Service was a little slow, but they were extremely busy when we visited! Ordered a burger to go with our drinks and it was by far one of the better burgers from a bar I've ever had - cannot wait to come back again soon!

I recently visited MaryGold's for dinner, and since we were early we stopped by Higher Ground for a pre-dinner cocktail. The bar is super cute and has both an indoor and outdoor area. On a chilly night like the one we were having, it was so pretty to go outside and enjoy the drinks. It's boho / artsy rooftop vibes to the max. I ordered a dirty martini and it was great. I also loved the glassware that it came in. The old fashioned was also good too. If we would have had more time, I would have stayed longer, as it's def a chill spot to grab a good drink. Arlo hotel guests are in luck, as they have solid options for hotel bar drinks and eats with both Higher Ground and MaryGold's.

An absolute JOKE, this place advertised they were showing the Kentucky Derby and they had a random 48" TV set up in a side room that look like it was stolen from a neighbor. Every 30 seconds it kept changing the channel from the race and we almost missed it. We ordered drinks from the bar at a RIDICULOUS price $50 for vodka and flat water mixed in. This place is a perfect example of false advertising- trying to be something legit but it's GARBAGE

Worst place I've been to in Wynwood and that's saying a lot. Drinks are horrible and over priced and atmosphere smells. Music is WAY too loud. Can't even hear myself think. They seriously need to turn it down
