The 23 Best Vegan & Vegetarian Plant-Based Restaurants In LA

"Hidden in that two-story strip mall on the corner of Westwood and Olympic that hasn’t changed its decor since 1987, Hijo De Su Madre is a counter-service vegan spot serving Yucatecan-style dishes, like spicy “loganiza and egg” tacos and mushroom pibil tortas with mustard and pickled habanero onions. Our only issue is that the plant-based meats in the tacos here are so juicy that the soft corn tortillas end up clinging to life by the time you finish. Still, we’d send anyone here for a satisfying and affordable meatless lunch in West LA." - sylvio martins, garrett snyder

The 18 Best Mexican Restaurants On The Westside

"Hijo De Su Madre is a casual, counter-service vegan Mexican spot that injects a strong dose of creative flair into its menu. There's a seared tofu “banh mi-style” taco, a “bratwurst” LA street dog-style taco, and one called the “Phat Ass” with deep-fried avocado.  The plant-based Yucatan-style dishes are our favorites though, including the spicy-sour jackfruit cochinita pibil topped with black bean and corn salsa. The faux meat is so juicy that your corn tortilla will probably disintegrate before you take a second bite, but that doesn’t detract from its deliciousness. Google
This place gets a perfect ten! The food is amazing, unique, flavorful and healthy..and entirely vegan. They feature Yucatecan recipes you will not find in many places. The owner is friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. It is a small place with just a few tables.

Google
Amazing vegan food! This place is an absolute gem! The service is top-notch, and the food is out of this world. Every dish is packed with flavor. Highly recommend to anyone looking for good vegan food options!!

Google
One of the best meals ever. We drove 20 mins to get here to try it as one of the places for my birthday week because we were really craving vegan tacos. This place did not dissapoint! Every bite was an experience from the crunch of the papas to the mushroom “meat” to the tofu fresh bah mi taco. Definitely some thinking out of the box here! It’s a casual spot with a free parking lot. There were two people working and doing all the cooking, they were rock stars taking all the orders and keeping the food flowing out of the kitchen. We will be back

Google
I thought the food was okay. I think maybe I got the wrong thing, like they might have something better. The drink I had was good. Definitely a bit pricy. I also thought the menu was a bit confusing. The lady at the front was helpful.

Wow! What a delicious spot. Everything was fresh and innovative. As a non vegan, I was really impressed with the amount of variety in their menu! Can’t wait to go back again!

A great lunch spot with tasty and aesthetic food - the vegan options are so creative! Even the free chips & sauce were so good! 10/10 recommend

Google
This is one of the greatest vegan places where I ate. Was on a trip to LA and since I am a vegetarian( no egg, no meat) I wanted to explore food options at various places when this one popped up. Ordered a burrito bowl, torta, chips and guac and esquite. Everything was so good, from flavors to quantity, well balanced. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner. The staff is really polite, and they cook fresh meals and serve you.

Yelp
Behold! Ive been searching for vegetarian, vegan, plant based food restaurants and taquerias for a while. Here at Hijo de su madre in Westwood, a small adorable and cozy restaurant we found the holy grail, everything we ordered was legit. . Delicious Yucatán style Vegan food made from scratch with quality wholesome ingredients, healthy, savory and delightful. Tacos are gorgeous made with homemade tortillas, my husband fell in love with Kibis and tamales. The pickled onions and salsas are unique. I regret not taking photos of the food but we were too hungry and forgot. Have an agua de sandía watermelon water with mint. The menu is small so I recommend you ask for recommendations. You won't regret it. Tacos Tortas Bowls Kibis Tostada All made to order and off the charts.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem, a secret that I am almost afraid of letting too many people in on. However with the recent spate of vegan restaurant shutdowns, it's time to let more people experience possibly the best vegan value for money restaurant in LA. Greg and his wife run a warm, friendly and very inviting restaurant. Having roots in the food truck business, their immense popularity and community support led to their first brick and mortar space. Greg's story is personal. He was pre-diabetic in his 20's, and decided to take back his health. His journey to wellness led him to clean plant based food, and he decided to take his granny's most delicious Yucatan recipes and make them vegan. None of that impossible this or beyond that crap. He makes most items in-house and it's a labor of love. The 3 tacos for under $15 is the best deal in town. You can mix and match the incredible banh-mi tacos with the longaniza (sausage) tacos that are soy-free, and close the trip with a piping hot Yucatecan Pib (think baked tamales with an incredible filling). I am always blown away by how good it feels to eat there. The food is incredible. If you dine in, they give you complimentary chips and a dip. My toddler loves their smoothies and they know her and how she likes it blended fine. In a world of $25 entrees (looking at you Planta, Shojin), this is a place that can be regular, where you can get an incredibly delicious meal, and support a chef who is trying to tell stories of his childhood through food. Your biggest risk is you might crave it too much. Tip: Ask them for their incredible habanero sauce. Tip: Plenty of free parking, no validation needed. Tip: They have some of the best catering deals.

Yelp
Back to try more... Had to order the Mash Made in Heaven because it was so good the first time! Also tried the Phat Hass Taco and Kibis (Heather told me it's her favorite) which were both very flavorful! I love how they combine different ingredients to make a unique dish.

Yelp
This cute little place is in a strip mall at a busy intersection. It's a little hard to find so pay attention lol thankfully, they have free parking in the lot so that's not an issue. The interior is small and cute. This is a family owned and operated restaurant and they have lots of options! They take the time to explain what is on the menu and what is popular. And you can see the pride and excitement! I love it. The food was unique and delicious! I've never had this type of vegan food with these ingredients, so I enjoyed that experience. For instance, there was a dip she let us sample that was made out of some sort of ground pumpkin seeds. It was served with tortilla chips and sooo good!

Yelp
How I wish this restaurant was closer to home. Was a real treat to have the most delicious lunch there. Without exception the customer service was very personal and the food creative and absolutely delicious. I long to return!

Yelp
Hijo De Su Madre had been bookmarked for awhile. Why has it been a contender for VegOut's votes for a best vegan spot for years? We couldn't wait to try it and given it's 5 star reviews, we braved through the LA traffic and went! It is in an unassuming shopping mall with free parking (yes for free parking!). The place is small with small 5-6 tables and you order at the register. Their menu is displayed above and you can make their tacos (which are street taco sized) into a bowl or burrito for an extra charge. The menu sounds delicious and we decided to try their mayan hummus, "chicken salad" tostada, oyster mushroom bowl. What I really liked is that their vege meats aren't super processed and they are made with whole ingredients. They do seem to like habanero which I don't mind and didn't think it was overwhelmingly spicy. Portions for the tostada was street corn tortilla sized, so I'd recommend getting multiple bites to enjoy. Flavors were all there and delicious. The chips and hummus did have a good portion size. They don't have a water dispenser to self-dispense, so if you want just water, you would have to order it at the front. I'm honestly not sure I'd go through traffic again to specifically frequent this place, but I'd definitely be a regular if I lived closer. Hijo De Su Madre definitely serves some good food! I feel at home and healthy.

Yelp
Wow, we were so impressed with everything we tried. I got the sampler plus the Mash Made in Heaven. The rest of the table got the Longaniza and Ensalada Tortas. We really wanted to get the pastellitos but we're just too full. Next time!

Yelp
I got 3 tacos: banh mi, spicy beach, and phat hass. I can't pick a favorite, they were all so good. The flavors were fresh, bold, and so well balanced. I dragged my family visiting from out of state here, and the lady up front was so patient and helpful. I love veggies and grew up vegetarian, however my family are not so veggie centric. They enjoyed their tacos and left full, but I don't think you'll blow non-veggie lovers away here. I live on the other side of town, but will definitely be back to try their other items!!!

Yelp
Vegan Mexican (Yucatan) food? Gluten free (GF), soy free (SF), and nut free (NF) options?! Pfft.. how good would that even taste? Boy oh boy, did I have a (very pleasant) awakening. First thing first - ambiance. This mom and pop store is on the ground floor of a free parking rich plaza, with a huge yellow sign that reads "VEGAN" (tacos, burritos, bowls). The interior is homey and fits the vibe for chill and easy going. Next - service. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by the entire staff. The super helpful young lady at the counter provided some amazing recommendations from each side of the menu, and ultimately, I chose the "choose any three" (pick from tacos, sides, desserts, or agua frescas for $14.25). So price point is easily affordable! My picks? 1. Taco Banh Mi (NF). Tofu, pickled carrot and daikon radish, cucumber, spicy mayo, jalapenos, and cilantro on flour tortilla. Essentially, a vegan banh mi's cousin from the Yucatan :) 2. El Yucateco Taco (GF/SF/NF). Roasted achiote, mushrooms, pickled habanero onions, and avocados. 3. One of the house specials: ninos envueltos (GF/SF/NF). A cabbage roll stuffed with mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, mint, and quinoa with homemade pepita and epazote sauce, chiltomate, and house crema. And dessert you ask? Of course! The team was so awesome - they threw in the 'Crema de Coco' (GF/SF/NF) on the house! Fruit custard with coconut cream base and blueberries. Final verdict? Fair price, great service, and even better (food) product! Will definitely be back to try more! Thanks Hijo de su Madre team!! :))

Yelp
Delicious Yucatán style food with a Vegan twist. We've eaten there plenty of times. So many good options~ The kibis(both "fish" & "beef") are so good. Vegan or not, anyone would enjoy these! Vegan tacos are solid - flavorful, great texture and surprisingly filling! Love Jeff's Breakfast Hash Burrito! Hands down one of the best vegan burritos in LA. So good I even got a gift card for this place lol The husband and wife duo is awesome and friendly. Located inside of a strip mall, a small restaurant with welcoming, colorful interiors. If you have a soft spot for burritos, try this place out! You don't have to be vegan to enjoy delicious plant based meals.

Yelp
Scale 1-10 Atmosphere- 10 Cozy Cleanliness- 10 Service- 10+ Food Taste - 10+ Stop in for lunch to grab some vegan tacos. The best vegan tacos every. So good, fresh, and flavourful . The young lady in the front was extremely nice and help me order. I highly recommend this spot even if you not a vegan. You want be disappointed at all.

Yelp
Great addition to the neighborhood and FREE PARKING!! The owners were so patient in explaining the menu and making suggestions. I had a great time trying new dishes
google avatar

Tara ..

Yelp
Everything they serve is delicious! I love how the focus is on serving real food and fresh vegetables. The burritos are really filling and because the food is healthy you feel really good after eating there. I usually get the Phatt Haas or the Spicy Beach. It's a family owned place and the couple that runs it is really sweet and thoughtful. The parking is miraculously easy and plentiful.

Yelp
I think I found the perfect bowl. A bowl that I can eat guilt free as all ingredients are wholesome, healthy and delicious!!! My first time here and really enjoyed. I plan to work my way down the menu and try each item. How nice to have "Mexican" food without a tortilla and be completely satisfied!!
google avatar

Mayuri B.

Yelp
This place is just wonderful. great quality food at a great price, a vegan mom and pop owned by a wonderful couple: Heather and Gregory. I see why this place is award winning. I'd recommend it to everyone. Support places like this! The blueberry Jamaica agua fresca was delicious, their house made hummus, the corn, the variety of tacos, can't wait to try their desserts. THIS PLACE IS A MUST VISIT IN LA. Great service. lovely ambience.

Yelp

Yelp
Yay! Finally found a healthy, delicious Mexican food restaurant . The owners of this restaurant were very helpful & friendly. It's a nice place to dine inside and the place and food is clean. They also deliver which is nice. Very fresh ingredients. I will be back again for sure. There is free parking in front which was very convenient. This place is on the north east corner of Olympic and Westwood Blvd. near the penguins yogurt place. It's on the ground level. Update: My first visit I had the No Stas Cochinita Burrito and added avocado. I was very impressed. The corn is cut fresh off the cob. The sauces they have are homemade and you can inquire about the sauces. They even have this pumpkin sauce, which is awesome! There was jackfruit in the burrito. I liked it so much. I ordered that for my second visit. Next time I go, I plan on trying the Longaniza con papa burrito and tacos. I suggest adding cabbage as it adds a nice crunchiness. The quinoa was perfectly cooked too. The service is always good and super friendly. You can order online and it will be ready for pickup when you get there. There is free parking in front.

Yelp
As soon as I walked in I could immediately tell the people that run this place care. They care about the food, they care about the kitchen and dining space and they care about you. The food is incredible. Anyone who eats plant based foods needs to eat here and they need to tell their friends about it.

Yelp
The best vegan food in town, I have been coming here for last past 2 years and every time I get the best service. I highly recommend them

Yelp
cute, unassuming Vegan restaurant in Westwood on Olympic & Westwood. I initially wanted the 3 combo tacos, but the owners wife suggested the tostada, and I wanted to try the kibis. I had a choice of 'fish' or 'meat' I chose 'fish'. check out the menu. I also ordered the Blueberry Jamica not too sweet at all. Perfect Agua Frescas. I was given crispy chips & their green salsa, too. Just the right portion-not an abundance to fill you up. Service was great, I didn't expect my food to come out right away because Saturday night dinner crowd for dine in & take out started. This vegan Yucatan Mexican cuisine is like no other. My taste buds were happy. Unlike other Vegan Mexican restaurants I have had in the IE that are one note taste wise. This restaurant offers various Yucatan flavors that are umami. even though I was full with the 2 items, I ordered the longaniza (mushroom) taco and a jar of their green salsa to go. Thank you for a memorable dinner. I will be back
google avatar

Yelp
Wildly good. Like, each bite makes you realize they put in effort on each ingredient to bring out its flavors. Had three tacos (everything here vegan), and each was seasoned perfectly. I wasn't familiar with Yucatán cuisine before and am glad I tried. Mango smoothie was delicious and satisfying too. The perfect place if you're vegan or simply want to eat more plants like mushrooms or jackfruit. Kind service, owned and run by a married couple. Somewhat easy-to-miss strip mall, ground level with a round yellow logo. Parking lot with underground lot.

Yelp
Bommmb! The flavor is there whether u eat meat or not. Def recommend plus the free parking and ambience is lovely as well
google avatar

Yelp
I tried some other things but the Banh Mi taco was clearly the standout winner. Perfectly grilled and seasoned tofu, accompanied by the perfect toppings (radish, carrots, cukes, etc). Chips and salsa were good too. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Delicious food and amazing service. Cute interior design. Also love that they have a parking lot!

Yelp
Our baby shower was catered by Hijo De Su Madre. They were timely, respectful, incredibly fair, and most importantly the food was delicious! We ordered enough food to feed 50+ people. Each taco came individually wrapped which made it so easy on our guests. We also ordered 5 gallons of their watermelon mint agua Fresca...don't sleep on this one! Greg and Heather are amazing! The catering was perfect but the kindness we were shown the first time we went to the restaurant to sample all the items was something we won't forget! Thank you guys!

Yelp
This has quickly become my favorite food spot in Los Angeles. Here's what I love about Hijo De Su Madre: Authentic, delicious Yucatán recipes. You can find dishes here that I've never even heard of before. I've tried almost the entire menu, and loved everything. If I had to choose, my favorite things are the papadzules, ensalada rusa tostada, and Silkil Pak (Mayan hummus). Quick service, you can tell they have food truck experience because they make the food efficiently despite everything being prepared fresh. High quality ingredients. You can taste the difference. Reasonable prices! 17 dollars for a burrito, bowl, or 3-item combo that will leave you stuffed. Considering the quality and location in Westwood, this is a good price. Friendly vegan owners who will chat with you if it's not too busy. The two of them run the place by themselves, which is really amazing. cozy vibes, comfortable chairs, and an outlet near one of the tables to charge my phone. the bathroom is always clean and well-stocked. If you get delivery, they package things thoughtfully. As you can tell, I have nothing but praise for this place. Must-visit for anybody in the area.
google avatar

Bryce B.

Yelp
I stopped by here on my way home and really enjoyed it. I had the three taco special with the banh mi, spicy beach, and the hash. Each of them had an excellent and distinct flavor. I look forward to trying more of the options or getting the same order! Also the staff were incredibly warm and pleasant!
google avatar

Purna V.

Yelp
Great healthy food. They gave great suggestions for what to order since it was my first visit. I would definitely go again next time I'm in LA!
google avatar

Roger G.

Yelp
The service is amazing, to be clear. And the food is pretty good. I keep getting the spicy beach burrito, and while it tends to be a little lacking structurally, making it difficult to eat without making a mess of oneself & difficult to finish without it all falling apart in the end, the flavors and textures are good. The water cups are apparently rather weak, as I needed to take the lid off for something, and when I put it back on, the cup bent and broke, spilling a ton of water everywhere. I was mortified, as I had not yet left the restaurant, but the staff were incredibly kind about it and got me a new cup as well so mine wouldn't continue to drip. Overall, good food & great service.

Yelp
Normally the thought of vegan food makes me cringe. However, Hijo De Su Madre has me rethinking the way I view meatless meals. This vegan food truck launched their first brick-and-mortar restaurant in Westwood, serving Mexican food with Yucatecan flavors. I ordered online for pick up. Tacos are $5.49 each and there's a Choose Any Three special for $14.25 where you can choose three items - from tacos, sides, desserts and aqua frescas. I went with three tacos so I could sample more flavors. My favorite of the bunch was the Phat Hass - Beer battered and deep fried Hass avocado, fresh pico, chipotle cream and pepita cilantro slaw. The spiciness of the chipotle cream really made this dish come alive. The other two tacos I tried - Jeff's Breakfast Hash and No Stas Cochinita - paled in comparison. The corn on the No Stas was fresh and crunchy, which was a nice touch. You can also get a burrito or bowl for $14.75. The burritos come with your choice of filing, garlic and onion quinoa (instead of rice), black beans and cabbage. My husband enjoyed his Jeff's Breakfast Hash burrito, which also came with guacamole and tomatillo salsa. On a second visit, I opted for the Phat Hass bowl, which was served on top of a bed of quinoa, black beans and cabbage. I felt a little guilty for eating all that deep-fried avocado but could rationalize it because the dish had quinoa. I did demolish way too many of their housemade tortilla chips, which comes with their tasty tomatillo salsa, to scoop up every last bit of this dish. Glad that I found a restaurant where my husband eats quinoa and doesn't complain and I'm eating a meatless meal without feeling like I'm missing out! Free parking in the lot.

Yelp
stumbled upon this awesome spot while on a quick business trip. very unique menu full of items that are made in house - salsa, a super tasty pumpkin seed hummus, and even their imitation "meats", which i feel is very rare with vegan joints (bravo!). i ordered the 'fish' kibis, the pastelitos, and a mocha, which all came with really good fresh blue corn chips and homemade salsa and hummus. the staff there were super friendly and passionate about what they do! love to see a vegan spot with so much homemade, health conscious stuff on the menu. thank you, hijo de su madre! i'll be back!

Yelp
Most amazing vegan food EVER. It is owner operated and the owners are super down to earth. Please send people here to support this small business

Yelp
The food was absolutely delicious! Loved being able to pick items from different sections of the menu for a combo so I could try more! The staff was so nice and helpful. Thanks for a great lunch while visiting LA!

Yelp
Best Hidden Gem in LA super lowkey cute atmosphere AMAZING FOOD it's located in Westwood I believe , the staff is super sweet and nice and service was quick which was the best part because my bud and I had just finished a hike. Can't wait to be back for their fancy course meals if you don't know about that follow them on Instagram so you don't miss out! Coming back SOON!!!

Yelp
HIJO DE SU MADRE! Gracias :) I went here a few months ago with my silly big brother. AND BRUH. THIS FOOD (coming from a meat eater) is so fricking good i was shaken to my core. the workers there are __GOATED__ so helpful because my dumb*ss was rattled looking at their menu. We had all sorts of things to try and they even gave us a free little appetizer Definitely hit this place REGARDLESS of your eating practices.

Yelp
Got this to go in Westwood. I ordered it on their website like 7 min before arriving, and it was bagged and ready to go when I arrived. $18 after tip. Got the LA Brat Bowl, and I enjoyed it!! The beyond brat was so good. The salsa was good too. Chips were super greasy but good. Would definitely item you come back again. Looked cute inside. And free parking.
google avatar

Alice T.

Yelp
Love it, love everything about it. The food, the inside, the service. I got the Spicy Beach burrito but I'm pretty sure everything else is delicious too. Also, the tortilla chips are super fresh and crispy (but not greasy). Wish it as closer to me. I inhaled it before taking a photo, but it was an attractive burrito, just trust.

Yelp
I love this place! My BF and I went one day because we found them on HappyCow and we were blown away! I want to try everything on the menu! It's all so good. The owners are a lovely husband and wife team who are so friendly, helpful and hardworking! You will not be disappointed!! I ate everything too quickly to snap photos but I will be sure to take pics next time!

Friendly, ecologically friendly, so fresh and tasty (you don't have to be vegan -- you won't miss anything). The choose-any-three is a good way to go. We got the fried avocado (Phat Hass), jackfruit (No Stas Cochinta) and she Ensalada Rusa Tostada. Happy :)

Yelp
SERVICE - located in a small shopping complex near Westwood - parking available in lot - small interior with about 25 seats - many people taking orders to go - order at counter and then find a seat - servers are very friendly and helpful - complimentary chips and salsa provided - food made fresh and served quickly - good for casual lunch or dinner MENU - all vegan Mexican food with strong Yucatecan influence - average price ($15 per entree) FOOD - no stas cochinitas taco (8/10): yucatecan style slow cooked jackfruit, black beans, and charred corn on the cob. The jackfruit was very soft and had absorbed the flavors from its marinade. It was slightly spicy but not overwhelming. I would have preferred the corn to be smaller pieces since the large chunks fell out of the taco when I tried to pick it up. - phat hass taco (7/10): beer battered avocado chunks, Pico de gallo, spicy chipotle sauce, and lettuce slaw. I really liked the contrast between the rich avocado and the sharp chipotle sauce. Personally I found the large pieces of avocado overwhelming but if you are an avocado fanatic this might be rated higher. - spicy beach taco (10/10): this was my favorite of the three tacos. I could not tell that the "fish" was made of radish as it did not have the pungent aftertaste. The combination of the crispy cakes with the sweet and fresh mango and spicy sauce on top was perfectly balanced. The server said that this took the chef the longest time to create and it has paid off. A must order! WOULD I GO BACK? Yes! I really liked all the tacos and want to try some of the other flavors as well

Yelp
Did a search for "plant based" and this place came up. I had the "No Stas Cochinita" and opted to add guacamole; the soft, deliciously marinated jackfruit MAKES this dish. The corn is roasted perfectly and adding the guac is a must. Felt light and well-nourished when I left. Highly recommend, especially for those who prefer eating clean and healthy! An added bonus are the very original decorative sconces, and even better--this place is SUPER CLEAN!!!

Yelp
I used this restaurant to cater my 6 year old son's birthday party and it worked out very well! The food was delicious the owner was very accommodating and easy to work with. Highly recommend the taquitos super yummy. Guests were impressed with it being 1. So good. 2. Vegan. We had a number of vegetarian guests that were happily surprised when I told them it was all vegan. I'm not vegan, but I don't eat meat so this place made more sense for Mexican food. It also was affordable and I probably would have spent the same amount on pizza that was not special at all. I love pizza, but wanted something different for this party.

Yelp
Food: Just amazing. Right quantity. Right amount of spice and feels fresh and healthy. Everything from appetizer to tacos to bowls was just amazing. Service was very quick and hostess was very friendly. They gave extra spicy sauces to try and it was really yumm. Ambience - just a cozy place. Don't expect anything super fancy. But it was good.

Yelp
This is a great vegan spot for fusion tacos. I had a Banh Mi taco which was fantastic. Salsas are delicious and their pumpkin seed hummus is out of this world. If I lived closer I'd be here more often!

Yelp
The food here is amazing. It's all fresh and incredibly flavorful. I went the first time unsure about it, because generally vegan equates to lack of flavor, but I was absolutely blown away by the attention to detail with the ingredients, the delicious tastes, and just the care of the chef. 5 stars.

Yelp
Everything is amazing here! I absolutely love this place. The Phat Hass burrito is really good and I do recommend the Jeff Breakfast Hash tacos, but seriously can't complain about anything I have had.

Yelp
I had bookmarked this place after seeing it in a YouTube video on the Munchies channel. My mom and I happened to be in the area so we decided to stop by. We ordered one taco each of the Phat Hass, L.A. Brat, No Stas Cochinita, and the Taco Banh Mi. They were all so good!! My mom and I like some spice, which the Phat Hass and the Taco Banh Mi certainly had. My mom thought the Banh Mi was spicier, which she loved. The No Stas Cochinita has this sort of acidic taste to it, which I'm all about. Both my mom and I thought the L.A. Brat tasted exactly like an L.A. street dog -- so good! I didn't realize how much I missed street dogs. While we were waiting for our food, we were given some salsa and chips. The chips definitely tasted like they were made there and the salsa had amazing flavor. Finally, we had some pastelitos for dessert. They were so warm, soft, and not too sweet. Highly recommend. The owners were so kind and I would 1000% come back here. If you want to give this place a try, whether you're vegan or not, I highly recommend!! Will definitely come back here.

Yelp
Good location, handicap accessible, and VERY delicious food! I don't know if the person that took our order was the owner or an employee, but whoever was working on 11/30/22 at 4:30pm was super friendly and welcoming! One of the best customer service experiences. I ordered the Phat Hass burrito, and it was delicious, but boy was it spicy! Almost had me tearing up. But the tears were worth it. The burritos are huge, and the flavors from all the ingredients together are amazing. My partner rated his burrito a 5/5 (he ordered the Murica burrito) and that is a shocker because he's usually very stingy and strict with his ratings. They are pricier than the traditional burritos, but I do believe they are 100% worth the price. Plus each burrito comes with fresh chips and salsa. The chips and salsa are also delicious! The salsa is not spicy, but very flavorful. It is in a good location with a small parking lot shared by other businesses. In LA so many places have street parking that's full most of the time, so I was happy about this place having a parking lot and there were plenty of available spaces when I went. The restroom is handicap accessible with a push-to-open door and spacious enough inside for a wheelchair or mobility scooter. I will definitely come back again whenever I am in the area.
