"Hidden in that two-story strip mall on the corner of Westwood and Olympic that hasn’t changed its decor since 1987, Hijo De Su Madre is a counter-service vegan spot serving Yucatecan-style dishes, like spicy “loganiza and egg” tacos and mushroom pibil tortas with mustard and pickled habanero onions. Our only issue is that the plant-based meats in the tacos here are so juicy that the soft corn tortillas end up clinging to life by the time you finish.
