Hill's Lexington Barbecue Inc

This BBQ here is unique and one of a kind. They have been in business in this location since I can remember. The people that come here seem to be locals. The staff is nice and friendly, and the atmosphere here is welcoming. If you have a big party of people, you can bring them here for a decent price you will be able to get a good amount of food to feed everyone. I will come back to eat their BBQ in the future. just as I have been since I was a child.

Not recommended if you've had BBQ anywhere else... you won't get what you expect here. They don't even have ribs except on Thursday nights....wow. I will say that we came as part of a group of about 16-18 people, so could be that this place just doesn't know how to handle large groups, even though we came for an early supper and there weren't many people here. The sweet potato fries were cold (though ate them anyway because I don't leave food behind unless it's totally inedible), the pulled pork came in chunks (not shredded) (see pic) though it was still tasty despite being lukewarm only. Asked for extra bbq sauce and it looked more like broth (see picture), not traditional bbq sauce. I doubt I'll be coming back here. One last note, our waitress was good and seemed to be doing her best, so that was a positive thing. Addendum: found out afterwards that this type of bbq is unique to this area.... still would have been better with hotter food...

The hostess and waitress were both very nice. Place appears clean. However what I took home to my family for supper was very disappointing to say the least. I ask for an order of chicken dumplings and received 4 oz (less than a baby food jar) for $6.25. I used a food scale !!Not as good as the canned stuff from the grocery store. If that is a serving than a regular size can (20 oz) should feed 5 people. I bought a child's plate of chicken strips. I received 2 preformed frozen chicken patties the kind made from pressed together scraps shaped the same and they were awful!! One reg plate with a meat and 2 veggies that was ok I waited 35 min and still had to go home and cook!! I will NEVER stop there again.!!!!.....there were 5 people there counting myself.

I love their BBQ, it's amazing. But they constantly screw up my order. I almost always get it to go as I'm constantly driving for my job. I always ask for a BBQ sandwich with NO slaw on it, yet there's ALWAYS slaw on it and I gotta wipe it off as best I can. If you don't mind having your order messed up, this place is great! 😊

The place is a small Diner. Staff very friendly. Handicapped parking. Last time I had only the fries. Truthfully, they weren't very good. This time I had a chicken salad sandwich. Ugh....I'm pretty sure it wasn't homemade. It tasted like the chicken salad you buy in those small cans to put on crackers. It was ok, I had it on toast. But I wouldn't get it again. I will probably be back and try something different. They are a busy place!!!!

Good food for the price. Everthing was hot, tasted great but portions were a little large for me. Wait staff were awsome ladies. On top of my meal and it came out timely for a non fast food restaurant. Just came in and seated myself, waitress came over with menu, took my drink order, came back with hush puppies and my drink. Took my order and about five minutes my order came out. In an out in thirty minutes and full. Will go back again for the BBQ, heard it was really good.

Great food, great service, I've never had a problem. The BBQ sandwich is best with the red slaw and some extra sauce on it. Hush puppies are tasty too. I drive out of my way to come here even though other restaurants are closer. The nanner puddin and pecan pie are also really good if you like that kind of thing.

The customer service was not desirable if you are of the African descent or anything other than Caucasian. Server was not very pleasant. The food made me sick. I ordered turkey bacon from the menu but recieved regular bacon which would have sent me to the hospital if ingested. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone who wishes to have a pleasant dining experience.
