Excited to try this new spot! The food… the Cajun Cubano and the Duck Confit Melt were both excellent—highly recommend them. And the buttermilk biscuit? Absolutely amazing, would definitely order it again. The smoked fish dip was decent but lacked the smoky flavor one would expect, I’d skip it next time. Overall, worth a visit. The bar is full service, and I’d consider sitting there next time for the full experience. Otherwise you order at the front counter and then pick up our own silverware and napkins from a shelf near the bar, it also didn’t feel like you had a designated table server but instead had to flag people down which was fine, but I found it odd that they still suggested an 18-22% tip upfront when you first ordered, though there was a custom option available. It felt strange to tip for service that hadn’t yet been received and then was very minimal.

I was so very excited about this restaurant. We need a really great southern food restaurant in the area. Not just downtown or South. First the place is really well done. The kinks are not out yet. The ice and water machine do not work. You have to ask at the counter. Second if you go into a restaurant and order at the counter you don't expect these prices. I ordered 4.00 deviled eggs. That is per egg. Total , 8.00. I expect a reasonably good sized egg. These were small at best. Not impressive. For a breakfast place you do expect a large if not extra large egg. I had a fish sandwich which was barely warm. And overdressed. All for just under 30.00 My dining partner had a chicken sandwich and his was not hot either. He felt it was something left from lunch service. We did not get breakfast and are willing to give it another try later but 42.00 for a dozen biscuits to go - the biscuits must be up to par and better. At this point I am disappointed in the food. The bar is nice but we did not have cocktails. At 30.00 for a small appetizer and sandwich with water. (Which I had to ask for a refill behind the counter) I think they need to step it up.

Excellent location, excellent coffee (latte) and excellent food (homemade biscuits are amazing). Prices are average and worth it given the high quality. Food and latte was prompt and courteous. Though be aware you have to fetch your utensils and water on the way to your table. But food is delivered to your table. One of the best lattes I’ve had in a very long time. Definitely coming back for lunch and maybe happy hour. The place is impeccably clean Highly recommend.

The food was delicious! Hats off to the chefs!! The burrito with bacon will forever be in my dreams. As well as the cinnamon roll! Mimosas were decent enough! Bathrooms are so clean and the decor all around was so aesthetically pleasing!! ALSO!!!!!! They have soft crushed ice and the self serve water station was well equipped and tasted clean !!

Food excellent. Had to wait a tad for the crispy chicken sandwich, yet, the front staff was more than apologetic. Food arrives as it's cooked. Ordered deviled eggs, burger, chicken sandwich, collard greens (spicy), Brussel sprouts (very spicy), potatoes (devine) & banana toffee cake (excellent). All delicious. Electric jellyfish IPA beer can was 15 bucks, however, all was great. Will return.

The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was cute! They seemed overwhelmed the day we visited. They changed our table 3 times and took an hour to bring the cinamon roll. I’ll absolutely be visiting again and hopefully will update this review to reflect smoother service. Be sure to get there well before 11am! Deviled eggs and biscuit sandwich were great!

Totally enjoyed all 4-5 visits to HissyFit. Best aspects: 1) All dishes had high quality ingredients, were thoughtfully prepared and plated. 7 of 8 dishes I’ve tried were completely delicious. 2) It’s an awesome place to have breakfast, bring a laptop and work for a couple hours. Wifi is lightning FAST. (200 Mbps-ish?) 3) Beautifully designed interior (see pics). Very comfortable. Quiet place to work or talk with friends. You order and pay at counter. A server brings food to your table. EVERYONE I’ve interacted with at this restaurant was wonderfully polite and kind. Fave anytime dish: Deviled Eggs + Fried Oysters Tried and enjoyed all these in this order: Deviled Eggs + Fried Oysters Breakfast Burrito + a side of avocado (last pic, loved the flaked sea salt touch) Quinoa Bowl with salmon added Pork Carnitas Sandwich Duck Confit Sandwich Roasted Cabbage Salad Bowl (was good but not great. All above was great.)

Enjoyed an excellent first time experience at Hissy Fit today! Merrie took amazing care of us. We sat at the bar so enjoyed full service. The biscuit and cinnamon roll were delicious and our coffee drinks were perfect. Can't wait to go back and try their lunch and dinner options!
