940 restaurant workers at McCarran International Airport will be laid off in October | Eater Vegas

"This airport concessions company reports an unprecedented drop in customer traffic and plans to permanently lay off 940 employees, saying the COVID-19 pandemic has devastated both travel and restaurant industries. It temporarily closed multiple dining outlets at the airport starting in March and warned that employees furloughed in March will convert to permanent layoffs on October 15 if not recalled. A majority of affected roles are fast-food attendants, followed by hosts, servers, baristas, bartenders, and managers/supervisors. The company also recently signed a seven-year, roughly $1.5 billion contract extension to open new and remodeled locations." - Susan Stapleton

Clean and well maintained both inside and out. Moderate crowd on a Friday afternoon. Convenient location, obviously. Couple solid choices for food. Starbucks was good. Bathroom was clean. Staff was friendly and efficient. Hung out for a while to drink a cuppa coffee and rest during a motorcycle ride. Was plenty comfortable. Got the job done.

ROY ROGERS!!! Cin-a-Bon. Starbucks. Those are my favorites here in Allentown stop. And gas prices actually are not too far off of Wawa right off highway. So this 7-11 is worth the stop as well. Watch out for typical tourists who don’t know how to drive in parking lots.

Midway stop to Philly when visiting my daughter. Place is always clean, bathrooms not always but much more so than other rest areas I've been in, but usually they're really good! They are very busy but there are so bathroom stalls that I've never had to wait! Definitely a plus in my book.

Clean restrooms and multiple restaurants for a snack I absolutely loved that they have a mommy and me restroom. This makes potty stops much easier with a toddler. The cleanliness of this place is top notch and I was impressed.

My favorite rest stop. Clean, friendly and lots of choices. Always cleaning tables, restrooms, outside. Love it. They have a Hershey's ice cream stand, Starbucks, Roy Rogers, Keystone BBQ, Famiglia pizza, Aunt Annie's pretzels and my favorite Cinnabon! There's a convenience store too.

This is a newer rest stop and wow was it crowded. Lines at all the restaurants were very long. It was fairly clean, including the restrooms. It dies best having to get off the turnpike though.

It’s part rest area and part museum. There is a nice display on the history of the turnpike. It was unexpected and nice to see some of the history of the construction project. They have a few food choices and fuel.

Everything you could be craving on your long drive can be found here. Inside you can find a Star bucks , Annie Ann & I believe a McDonald's too. Restrooms are up to date and are decently clean if you consider they are being all day non stop. This stop has a larger parking lot and big rig/truck parking off to the side.
