"The new cocktail bar from barman Tim Faulkner (Up or Down, Octopus Bar) and Hudson Rouse (Rising Son) is now open in the former Hodgepodge Coffeehouse space on Moreland Avenue. Expect a tight list of beer, cocktails, and red, white, and sparkling wines, as well as a sandwich of the day (think roast beef) and shareable dishes like sweet potato dumplings, a vegetable-laden snack tray, and hassleback potatoes." - Beth McKibben

"Hodgepodge Coffeehouse is requiring masks be worn while inside its two locations in East Atlanta Village and Reynoldstown. The coffee shop, owned by Krystal Rodriguez, provides disposable masks for those who do not have one, along with hand sanitizer. “When you walk into either of our locations you will be greeted with hand sanitizer and disposable masks on a table by the door,” a post to Instagram reads. “Please use the hand sanitizer, pick up a mask by the elastic, and put it on. Each and every person in our four walls must have their nose and mouth covered for the duration of their entire visit, children included.” The shop also sells cloth masks in both children and adult sizes. Masks cost between $4 and $10. These locally made masks can be purchased at the shop or online. Hodgepodge remains closed for dine-in service." - Beth McKibben

"The second location of Hodgepodge Coffeehouse opens Friday, April 19 at 1 Moreland Avenue in Reynoldstown, with a grand opening set for Saturday. Unlike the original location up the road in East Atlanta, the Reynoldstown shop is much smaller — what owner Krystle Rodriguez dubs a 'Hodgepodge express' at only 900-square-feet. She expects it to act as more of a grab-and-go location but, a ten-seat community table equipped with power outlets and two four-top tables are available inside. A six-seat laptop bar is also in the works and should be completed next week. As for the menu, there's a full selection of coffee and baked goods as well as bagels from Emerald City Bagel." - Beth McKibben

Google
Nice coffee shop, plenty of parking. The latte was good but also very heavy on the sugar flavoring, not the coffee. No indoor dining at the moment.

Google
Hodgepodge is a solid move! I'm obsessed with their dirty chai's. The vibe is definitely worth a try. This location has a parking lot, so check around back but can always park on the street, not Moreland, as well.

Google
Great coffee and environment. Lots of seating and outlets for a casual coffee and bite to eat. Also great for getting some work done.

Google
Loved this little coffee shop! The baristas were kind, funny, helpful, and made a damn good latte. They were thoughtful and careful about my allergies/intolerances (soy, nuts, dairy) and I felt completely safe. Thank you for a great coffee experience!!

Google
This little coffee shop is really great. I don't drink coffee but I LOVE their Thai tea. It's absolutely delicious. When I'm in the area I'll drop for tea and one of their awesome baked goods.

The coffee was hot and pretty good…

Perfect addition to the neighborhood! We come here for the speciality drinks - the Bless Your Heart, the Mocha Caliente, and, when the occasion requires it, the Slap Yo’ Pappy (which is STRONG). Always delicious, and a fantastic company that treats their employees well too. Check them out if you’re nearby!

Today could have been ruined by the choice a friend and I made to check out this Hodgepodge coffee house. The barista that took our order chose to do it with all the unfriendliness of road kill. I did not turn into the ABW (Angry Black Woman) I refuse to allow someone else's attitude control my day. I can say that the Barista has taught me and my friend a lesson from this day forward if you don't want my business I will not spend my value in your establishment and I will pass the word on that we are not welcome in your place of business. So much for supporting the local small businesses. Back to Starbucks I go...

Yelp
The lot is pretty small and narrow but I appreciate the fact that there even is parking and it's free! I didn't get the friendliest vibes from the baristas, the girl who served me was really serious and kind of had an attitude. I got an iced matcha latte and it was just okay. There's plenty of seating but the big tables are really weird with really large gaps in them. I don't think I will come here again

Yelp
This location is fairly new, so I gave it a shot being that it was walking distance. I got a Chai Latte with soy milk. Yummy. DRINKS: I've only had the Chai Latte, but I really liked it. SERVICE: Super nice workers, no complaints! AMBIANCE: You can't eat there with COVID, but it's a very cute spot. Bright, good seating, and some great BLM art around too! OVERALL: Love it! Will be back.

Yelp
Another review because 2 weeks have gone by and I'm still obsessed with Hodgepodge. Has not been a line, I'm assuming because they are always fast and friendly! They have a rewards program so definitely ask about that!

Yelp
Black owned Accepts apple pay Variety of non diary milk options Nut free environment ( allergy friendly) Variety of pastries Great customer service 5/5 for me.

Yelp
My favorite coffee shop in Atlanta!! I've only discovered this shop recently/during COVID times so I haven't gotten the full experience, but can't wait until I can! But during this time their online ordering and pick up has been super easy. The staff I've spoke to that bring me out my order are always super friendly. MAJOR BONUS: they are a black owned restaurant! Let's start with THE BISCUITS!! If you go, these are a must order. All 3 varieties are top notch, but the cheddar chive (warmed) are probably my fave if I had to pick one. I usually get an iced vanilla latte with oat milk that's fantastic.

Yelp
Hodgepodge Coffeehouse is by far the best coffee shop in all of ATL. The Bless Your Heart is my absolute fave paired with a Spinach Patty, but what makes it even better is the talented staff. Grayson (barista) is always so kind and is extremely talented. She is a big reason we visit almost every single day. Thank you Grayson and Hodgepodge Family

Yelp
This location may be farther away from me that the original but I manage to end up here quite a bit. Great drinks and great service - what's not to love? Except maybe that both locations are on Moreland so if you're not paying attention, you might select the wrong location for curbside pickup. The parking lot is smallish but I've never come by to find it full. If it is, there is street parking along Boulevard Dr (aka what Hosea Williams Dr turns into west of Moreland Ave. As you may have inferred, I did try the curbside pickup once and it was super easy. Once I got to the right location. I'm always down for more Hodgepodge!

Jordan W.

Yelp
Hodgepodge is a cute and hip little cafe in an unassuming spot on Moreland that has us wanting to come back for more after our first visit on a recent Sunday morning. She ordered a cold brew and a distinctively spiced iced chai that was one of the best we have had in Atlanta. I went for a cortado, which was short and sweet but really hit the spot. We shared a chocolate vegan cookie, which was rich and fudgy like a brownie in the best way. We look forward to coming back to order from their surprisingly big menu that includes specialty lattes and even vegetarian Jamaican patties, which I am eager to try. I also enjoyed the location of this black-owned business- its small, quaint and has a cozy, neighborhood feel. We look forward to adding this spot into our rotation of casual weekend morning coffee spots.

Yelp
Stopped by Hodgepodge Coffeehouse on the way to a friends house and grabbed a 16oz Iced Latte. It wasn't busy so it was made right away. It was a refreshing latte with great taste. The coffee wasn't bitter or burnt which made it taste really good. They had biscuits, muffins, empanadas, and cookies. I would definitely come back and try other things.

Kyle M.

Yelp
Amazing vibe. Super friendly service. I had some delicious cold brew and a vegan cookie which was fantastic. Knew I would love this place when I saw the attached image on the front door. They have multiple vegan options as well as other dietary restriction inclusive yummies.

Yelp
Dropped in while trekking my way to the Little Five Points neighborhood. This coffeehouse is just darling. They have taken the precautions to keep both their staff and customers safe, by way of providing disposable masks and hand sanitizer upon entry. The music playing was upbeat and eclectic. I was greeted by a friendly barista who took the time to answer my questions and delivered a deliciously made drink. Hodgepodge Coffeehouse does offer a loyalty program. It was a pleasure to visit this independent local coffee shop.

Yelp
I walked into the shop this morning with my emotional Support animal. I was greeted rudely by a barista or manager who told me my dog wasn't allowed. I calmly explained he was a service animal and could produce paperwork. Her response suggested that it didn't matter, but then said I needed to wear a mask even though no one else in the coffee shop had one on. I have no idea if this place has good coffee because i refused to give them my money. If you're going to be rude, abrasive, brash, and confrontational, you deserve a review that reflects this. Thank you.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots to grab a cute latte and get some work done. The service is awesome and the baristas has lots of personalities. I love the speciality lattes they have. The pastries are pretty tasty and delish. I would say get the cinnamon roll, omg so good. Overall this coffee spot is an awesome spot to have a coffee date, study and just people watch. #dishwithchris

Yelp
Great coffee. Great service. The Jamaican patties are my most favorite snack in Atlanta

Kevin P.

Yelp
Is it rude to ask the barista to play something less aggressive on the sound system? As they sure so left after 20 minutes because my head was ringing. Great spot and you know they have awesome coffee. The Jamaican patties were the bomb. I'm infrequently in the area and had a to go the first time. Imma try again and hope the music is better or not as loud. Closest to rock for me is 70's yacht soft rock

Yelp
first time trying hodgepodge because our usual spot was closed & just found a new fave!! my boyfriend got the iced "oh honey" (honey + vanilla chai) & i got a iced chai tea latte (with oat milk + cinnamon spice) the shop is super cute, located in a central spot with a parking lot + ije was amazing! she was sweet, knew the product & gave us a great experience. we're going to be coming back v. soon!! (probably way more often than we should)

Hanna S.

Yelp
This place is AMAZING! I love their honey latte and their match iced latte is also to die for. I visited this place off of a recommendation from a friend and I am so happy that I did. Do not spend any more time without this coffeehouse in your life!

Haleigh V.

Yelp
Coffee is good, but VERY expensive. I got a signature latte with oat milk & it was $8.60 for a "large" that was no bigger than the medium. The barista was not friendly at all and looked at us stupid when we asked anything about their coffees. Not to mention she wanted us to keep our mask on and try our coffee with the straw under the mask... I mean come on, I just wanted to see if the coffee was sweet enough before I left. Will not be back.

A D.

Yelp
1st time visit - loved my latte!! Happened up on the beef & chicken patties: delish!! We will be back!

Ed J.

Yelp
Cool atmosphere for a meeting to do work. I would frequent more, but they do not accept American Express. They are most likely limiting themselves because most companies provide their employees with Amex's for expenses and would rather go somewhere where they can use their company credit card.

Maria M.

Yelp
I moved to the area recently and hodgepodge quickly became my coffee place. The coffee is great and the service is very good. I don't eat anything there so I can't judge that.

ginny w.

Yelp
I love the original hodgepodge so I was excited to try this one. It doesn't have as much personality but the coffee and food is still good. Plus, it's still new so I am sure the personality will come!

Molly J.

Yelp
Great service and delicious drinks! I visited during COVID-19 so it was takeout only but I imagine it's a great place to relax and get some work done when it's open for dine in. Loved my vanilla iced coffee and blueberry crumble, which was a generous portion. They have a parking lot too - super easy! I also love how they are going to be closed for Georgia's primary election, allowing their employees to vote without taking the day off. Can't wait to come again!
