Hof Grothues-Potthoff - Hasenklee

"A charming modern restaurant serving seasonal cuisine that often incorporates home-grown fruit and vegetables. Choose from two set menus of either four or five courses (with a three-course version on Wednesdays), one of which is vegetarian. Two additional dishes are available as optional extras. The service is friendly and the chef offers helpful wine recommendations. This beautiful farm also boasts a bakery, farm shop and hotel. Alternatively, Hasenpfeffer is open in the evenings – it serves traditional cuisine and dishes drawing on modern influences." - Michelin Inspector

Fantastic Hofladen. Wide selection of delicacies from the Münsterland, from meats, baked goods and teas, to liquors and sweets. Great place to buy authentically local food souvenirs as gifts for friends. And the cakes... Wow! They have a simply amazing selection of cakes, both gorgeous and delicious. Best variety and quality of cakes I have seen so far in Germany, no joke. I am now fat and happy and I look forward to my next visit.

Beautiful hotel near Münster Westphalia (not directly, to Münster it is still 15 min to go by car ). Nevertheless, the hotel is located in the heart on the area called "Münsterland" with good access to the well well know castles Vischering and Nordkirchen. The room I had was very clean and well equipped. I can not comment on the both restaurants since I did not use them apart from having breakfast in the morning. This breakfast was all fresh equipped mainly with foodstuff made on the nearby farm. Bottomline, clear recommendation! Excellent price performance ratio.

We went with my boyfriend for a weekend gateway. He surprised me and booked this hotel because it had a spa and was located near the cute town of Münster (15 minutes drive), so it would be a perfect relaxation and shopping weekend. ||The hotel located in the middle of the flat Münsterland is charming, it looks like an old farm/mansion that was renovated. Parking are abundant and free. ||The room was comfortable, elegantly decorated. The bathroom was quite large with a big shower. I was a little disappointed with the amenities, the shampoo bottle fixed to the wall reminded me of budget hotel, I think it's a sham that a "spa hotel" does not have nicer soap and shampoos. ||The breakfast was a real highlight both in variety of food (breds, hams, homemade jams) and high quality with mainly local products. ||The hotel calls itself a spa but does not offer the possibility to have a massage or any treatments, this should be explained because my boyfriend got a different idea from the description of the hotel. However the spa facilities (2 saunas, a steam bath, a lounge and a quiet area) was very enjoyable. Nice warm blankets, lots of space, quality beds and free homemade juices contributed to a nice experience. However, on Friday we had to ask the reception to use the spa and it was actually not in use so they had to start warming the facilities for us, which took a few hours (I guess to save energy the spa is not heated when no one is there).||There is a café and a shop with a lot of home made, organic and local products (there is onsite a juice factory using the own grown fruits).||||Overall nice experience for a weekend.

We stayed here for 2 nights as we were attending a wedding not far from the hotel. ||The hotel has been renovated, the rooms are stylish, modern and comfortable. The grounds are lovely, there are different cafes, restaurant and shops on site and beautiful trails to go walking. Make use of their bicycles, it's a great way to explore the surroundings! The only downside was that in the entire hotel there was only ONE iron which was quite unusual and an inconvenience! Other than that, a most pleasant stay.

I've stayed in many places in Germany, but this one was by far my favorite! Friendly and helpful staff, a lovely pristine room, a wonderful restaurant, and a great little bar. There was also a store and another restaurant out back (that I'm not sure were related), but the store was lovely with baked goods, confections, gifts etc. I would HIGHLY recommend!

Loved it. We had lunch in the cafe. Very tasty soup as a starter followed by locally grown asparagus and very yummy desert. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious.
