We went with my boyfriend for a weekend gateway. He surprised me and booked this hotel because it had a spa and was located near the cute town of Münster (15 minutes drive), so it would be a perfect relaxation and shopping weekend. ||The hotel located in the middle of the flat Münsterland is charming, it looks like an old farm/mansion that was renovated. Parking are abundant and free. ||The room was comfortable, elegantly decorated. The bathroom was quite large with a big shower. I was a little disappointed with the amenities, the shampoo bottle fixed to the wall reminded me of budget hotel, I think it's a sham that a "spa hotel" does not have nicer soap and shampoos. ||The breakfast was a real highlight both in variety of food (breds, hams, homemade jams) and high quality with mainly local products. ||The hotel calls itself a spa but does not offer the possibility to have a massage or any treatments, this should be explained because my boyfriend got a different idea from the description of the hotel. However the spa facilities (2 saunas, a steam bath, a lounge and a quiet area) was very enjoyable. Nice warm blankets, lots of space, quality beds and free homemade juices contributed to a nice experience. However, on Friday we had to ask the reception to use the spa and it was actually not in use so they had to start warming the facilities for us, which took a few hours (I guess to save energy the spa is not heated when no one is there).||There is a café and a shop with a lot of home made, organic and local products (there is onsite a juice factory using the own grown fruits).||||Overall nice experience for a weekend.
