"Before it turns into former Locanda chef Anthony Strong’s plaything (possibly some version of his Young Fava pop-up?), the popular Mission restaurant is winding down with its last week of service. Owner Scott Youkilis says that the burger and chicken sandwiches have been on high demand since news of the closure hit, as fans stream in to get their last bites. This week hours will remain the same as usual, and the menu will highlight favorites from the past few years. Its last brunch and dinner will be served on Saturday, April 14." - Ellen Fort

Great spot! Loved the wide selection of liquor making for lots of cocktail options. Enjoyed the unique take on the fries both ways. Our server was friendly & on point for sat happy hr. Table enjoyed $1 oysters. 2 tvs to watch a game & like that has outdoor seating.

Just destroyed the fried chicken sandwich and I'm bathing in mimosa. Here's the rundown: - staff is super friendly - brunch is a perfect blend of good food - carafe is the best deal for mimosas because the refill is free - fries are always perfect Let's just say there were no leftovers!

Stopped in with my good friend for brunch. It wasn't busy but took a little while for me to be acknowledged and seated. The food however, was amazing. Went outside of my comfort zone. Ordered the ham tasting plate for starters. Was so delicious. Would go back for that alone. They had $5 mimosas but I opted to try something else. Overall, slightly overpriced but food is worth going back for.

The friendliest staff and owner! Visited last minute and they went above and beyond to accommodate our party of four. Great food and cocktails.

Good food and good vibes. I went on a Sunday and they had dollar oysters. The mimosas are the same price as the plain orange juice, so choose wisely!

Waited nearly an hour to be seated. They had over a dozen empty seats that were supposedly held for reservations. Finally we were too hungry to continue waiting so we had to leave. Worst service I've experienced in the bay area thus far.

Best burger AND Old Fashioned I've had in SF, hands down. Chicken and waffles, pork sliders, Shepherd's pie were also awesome.

Nice place to share plates and drinks with friends. It's also a good date night restaurant. I recommend reserving in advance. The staff was really great, very helpful and friendly. When we were ordering she even told us to stop because it was enough for two people. Very few people do that, unfortunately I forgot her name... We started our meal with some delicious oysters. Not too big, not too small... Then we had the delicious fried oyster deviled eggs. Man... you gotta have these. Not your typical deviled eggs. The prosciutto plate was good, some better than others. The mushroom bread was great, we couldn't stop eating it! The only downside of the meal was actually the bone marrow, the pickled grapes were overwhelming. You could smell the vinegar from miles away... It was a great evening at Rocks & Hog, the drinks were great and the food was good!
