"Hola Modern Mexican Cocina + Cantina offers Mexican dishes such as dirty guacamole topped with chorizo, pork belly and shoulder carnitas tacos made with blue corn tortillas, and a pulled chicken quesadilla. Spend some time looking at the decor — a flower filled black-and-white of a Boston terrier behind the bar, Day of the Dead artwork, and Ixtapa lights — and snap a photo with the pink or green neon taco signs. Online ordering and a patio available. Vegan options available." - Susan Stapleton

"This tiny taqueria specializes in guisado - stewed meats and vegetables. The tacos here are huge, especially if you ask for yours with all the toppings: guacamole, beans, and cheese. Make a stop while you’re walking around Condesa, get a seat at the table on the front sidewalk, and eat your tacos in the sun while you continue your calculations of how quickly you can quit your job and move here." - Katherine Lewin

My son and I stopped in to try out this restaurant. We were greeted and promptly seated. Our server, Alyssa, was very personable by welcoming us and offering recommendations. The restaurant was tastefully decorated with a Mexican theme. The chips and pork rinds were absolutely delicious!! As was our food and specialty drinks. We both said that we would DEFINITELY be back and bring along our friends!!

Overall: Food was tasty but the service started out slow and got even slower. Pros: dirty guacamole was good if small for the price. Mahi mahi taco plate was huge, I barely finished one. Fish was well seasoned and the slaw complimented it well. Fideo was spicy and I enjoyed it. Beans and rice were just ok. Fajitas came out sizzling and were a good portion. Seasoning was very mild however. Cons: Chips tasted a bit stale and it took forever to get waters, although there were 2 hosts standing at the entrance just chatting, 2 bartenders also just chatting and one poor waiter busting his butt trying to help multiple tables. Mixed Drinks were ok not strong at all, the mango margaritas was very sweet and the rose sangria didn’t taste like much of anything. Restaurant music got noticeably louder as our meal progressed and the restaurant filled up.

It was okay service, wasn’t that busy for service to be slow. Had the dirty street corn and albondigas soup, they had lots of flavor and was actually the only thing that we thought was good. Chips were stale and the salsa tasted bland. My horchata was very chalky and the tap water tasted like out of the sink tap no RO or filtered. The pork belly shoulder chimichanga was presented very nicely but was very dry and bland.. the table next to us was complaining about his burrito tortilla being stale and hard to eat. Atmosphere was very busy but decor was nice. A curtain would be nice to have to separate the dining room from the restroom and back storage area. Felt bad for the tables right next to the restroom doors trying to eat, there was no separation of space.

I can't believe it's taken me a while to do this! If you're looking for a place a little fancier than casual Mexican dining without having to travel into the Strip, you have to check out Hola! They have some of the most amazing staff I've dealt with. They also have quite a large number of vegan/vegetarian options. The food is consistently delicious and fairly priced for the amount you get. This should be a top spot for date night.

Great bites...didn't feel the spicy Tuna civeche was spicy at all and I'm a lightweight. But still good. Tacos were mixed. Fish tacos were a perfect bite. Masada taco was dry and sparse. Good margaritas!

We had an excellent Cinco de Mayo brunch. The mimosas were good, the food was tasty and the Horchata cold brew my wife had was just the same.

Thought of doin a last min Valentine's date with the hubby. We don't usually go out that busy day. Browsed on open table and it popped up. We've been eyeing this place for months. We live 5 mins away. Same owner as Mama Bird next door. Ambience is cute. A place that u wanna hang out. It's cozy and its good for date night or girls night. We were seated right away and they gave us chips with some chicharon mixed in. Gave us green n red salsa. The green already have some 🥵 heat. Its good though. Malia took care of us and we ordered nachos with pork belly and shoulder carnitas, chimichanga with carne asada. The pomegranate margarita is good. Love the sugar rim They have happy hour daily from 3 to 5p. Will go back for that

Leaving Vegas and derided to stop at a local Mexican restaurant for a michelada…but what we found was the most authentic flavors of Mexican cuisine. We are from Los Angeles and have been to several parts of Mexico but have NEVER experienced the robust flavors like we did today. The carne asada was the best I have ever had….literally melts in your mouth. I highly recommend anyone who is looking for an amazing Mexican meal to stop by and try this place….we will NEVER come to Vegas and not come here for some food.

Yelp
Man! What a gem! I loveeeee bartenders Griff & John Rockstars But let's get into the food! look I just found this neighborhood. Jim and I have already been back twice in less than two days. So you know what that means... excellent food. Now here is the ironic part.. they are owned by the same company as Prime 141 in the same plaza and Momma bird. If you read my other reviews on both mama Byrd and Prime 141 you'll understand. now let's talk about if you are a margarita lover you need to order this combination when you go Mango Margarita and their Lime margarita ..technically if they had a baby This is what margaritas are made of. I have affectionally named it. The Soo Jaded Margarita. I digress we did say food Let's start with the street corn. do yourself a favor and order the "Crabby" omg! It is the traditional street corn with added blue crab, blue corn tortilla chips, and malze espuma just a 10 out of 10 The Carne Asada Steak Chimichurri tacos are man so tender and marinated over 24 hours! normally, when you have meat that has been marinated that long it tends to be on the tough side, but I assure you these are some of the most tender tacos I have ever had in the cilantro flavored rice is a huge plus. I loved the black beans that replaced the traditional refried beans! Next up let's talk non traditional nachos. "Elote Fry Nachos and soup) I'm not even one that particularly really likes thick french fries but the flavor on this was soooo good! I would definitely say if you are not super hungry great for twopeople.. Again, the same Carne Asada meat, greatly seasoned and super tender even on the nachos. The soup... humm 4 out of 10... a little blah for me. Tasted like a basic tomato or vegetable soup had a very similar taste to minestrone soup. This one could use a little work. The street corn is a little hefty on the price tag with the blue corn crab at $13 I'm on the 50/50 with this one. Very little crab, it was watery like the corn you get when its in a can I've been cooking for sometime and I am pretty sure this was not shucked fresh off of a cob.. while I received a very detailed explanation about the aeration process of this sauce that I can't pronounce that was on top it still lacked flavor even though the process sounds really impressive. It was oookkkkyyy, but compared to just the good old Street Corn you get at your local taco shop, I would take that corn in the cup before I order this one again sorry this is just a bit overrated. Now for a real treat!! The absolutely divine chocolate flan. Now I don't really know if they should call it "chocolate flan" because it makes it sound as though the flan itself is Chocolate flavor and it's not. I was very happy it is traditional flan with a soft warm chocolate cake tart served underneath. This delicious sweet cream served on the side was like hey condensed milk, and it was a perfect combination for me. This one is so good. I totally forgot to take a picture but not to worry. I'll be back for brunch on Saturday. This neighborhood restaurant gets a 10 out of 10! I don't have to love every item on the menu. It is definitely subjective but when it comes to quality food quality service great atmosphere music is always just right and bartenders that rock. I highly recommend you stop into this and make it your favorite too.

Yelp
Hola Mexican Cocina! The ambiance is vibrant and welcoming, perfect for a date night or gathering with friends. We started with the Street Corn Traditional - the flavors were fresh, with just the right amount of spice and creaminess. Next, we tried the Spicy Ahi Tuna Ceviche, which was absolutely fantastic. The ahi tuna was fresh, and the spicy kick balanced beautifully with the lime and cilantro. For mains, I had the Mahi-Mahi Fish Tacos, grilled with chili lime. The fish was cooked perfectly, flaky and flavorful, with a subtle hint of chili lime that didn't overpower but enhanced every bite. My wife went with the Carne Asada Steak Avocado Caesar Salad. The steak was tender and well-seasoned, and the avocado added a creamy texture that worked so well with the crisp romaine and dressing. Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. It's clear that they put a lot of thought into both the food and the experience here. Definitely a spot we'll be returning to soon!

Yelp
This mexican inspired cocina was the brainchild of cooking school students and an mexican based instructor named Marilau Ricaud in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Marilau gave many techniques and family secrets away selflessly to her students who wanted to open a modern Mexican restaurant in Las Vegas. They really nail this interior design and comida! Walking into Hola you will find some of the best interior design I have ever seen in a Mexican restaurant, it felt fresh, new and not too over the top. Mexico hold a very special place in my heart and I can say 100% they did it right! Offering many GMO free and Vegan/Vegetarian dishes Enjoy the food porn above because it was as good to eat as it was as good to look at! I always ask the waiter for the dish that will make me want to return and his suggestion was the tuna tacos with mango salsa and it was as good as it sounded. Preferably I have learned that the tuna taco isn't my all time favorite because i love raw tuna much more but I was happy with this dish and the rice and beans. We also ordered the jackfruit tacos (vegan option) and it was fantastic. We of course had to order the Mexican style street corn and queso. (so much oil but so worth it) To drink we got the classic horchata with dusted cinnamon on top and to our surprise the chips that were given at the beginning when we sat down was one of the shining stars of the meal! Did I mention they were free? The chips at Hola were fresh tortilla chips with pork rinds with a coating of some paprika and salt with two great tasting salsas, we finished two baskets! Definitely make this a place to visit with friends!

Yelp
This was only my second time here. Came on a Sunday around 530 pm for dinner. Was pretty quiet when I walked in but it was still early. Sat by myself at the bar and felt very comfortable! Amazing Staff and service, everyone was very friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant is colorful and vibrant. When you sit down, you receive complimentary chips with 3 different salsas ( red, green and yummy habanero! I came because I was craving a good soup & was not too hungry, so I settled for the combo with one taco and a cup of soup for 15 dollars. Soup was so flavorful!!!! It was chicken meatballs , broth and vegetables. I purchased some rice on the side to add into it to make it a little more filling. I will definitely try this place again and order some more options.

Katarina D.

Yelp
This is my second time being here and the food was just as great! We had an early reservation at 6pm so it was a calm atmosphere. We started with the street corn which is sharable between 2-3 people. They bring chips and salsa to the table for you and there are pork rinds on top! You should plan on spending a little more money than your usual Mexican restaurant, and it's totally worth it!

Yelp
First and foremost, what a great experience! Thank you, Tiffany, for being amazing. The bartender, Tiffany, really killed it. My friend and I had a few rounds of drinks, and everything tasted consistently amazing. The margaritas, food, and energy were all fantastic! The nachos had three layers and were so plentiful that I took a lot home, which my kiddo loved. The homemade guacamole had great flavor. The carne asada quesadilla was delicious, accompanied by tasty rice and beans. There was also an amazing selection of tequila! Good job thank you for the experience!!b

J'Ceelinn S.

Yelp
Such a cute little vibe! We were sat right away with a choice of indoor or outdoor, the service was friendly. The food was pretty good, a little pricey for being in a smiths parking lot. Will recommend to others.

Shema M.

Yelp
The food and drinks were so delicious Hubby & I dined here and went back for more at least 5 weekends in a row The music gave a great vibe with quick service and friendly staff is definitely the way to go.

Yelp
This restaurant is vibrantly amazing! Everything: the food, the staff, the atmosphere, the art, etc. I ordered the El Sol Grapefruit Paloma & it was refreshingly fruit-tacular & delicious! The chips & variety of salsas that come with your meal are topped with chicharrones! The salsas are full of flavor & have such vibrant colors! Our party ordered the Dirty Street Corn as well as the Crabby one. I loved the crispiness of the chorizo within the Dirty street corn & the blue crab within the Crabby one was succulent & fresh. For dinner, I almost went with the chili-lime shrimp & crab enchiladas but then the carne asada fajitas caught my eye. . .and then my nose when they came out. The steak was seasoned & cooked to perfection in a cast iron pan & was served with flour & blue corn tortillas. They cook it with roasted pepper, onions, cilantro, Serrano chile, cerveza, sesame seeds, & poblano butter. I'm planning on going to this fine establishment of a restaurant every time I'm in Vegas! Thank you Hola for your wonderful hospitality, ambience, & food!

Yelp
Every time we visit Vegas, this hidden gem of a Mexican restaurant is our go-to spot. Away from the city chaos, ample free parking, and prompt seating make it a stress-free dining experience. As margarita enthusiasts who often craft our own at home, we appreciate the top-notch quality and addictive flavors of their concoctions. From the classic to the spicy variations, each sip is a delight. The seasonal menu rotations keep things fresh and exciting. The fajitas, a generous portion perfect for sharing, never disappoint. Their quesadillas and enchiladas are equally mouthwatering. My husband enjoys exploring their diverse menu, and every dish he tries is a flavorful surprise. Hygiene is a top priority for us, and the pristine state of the bathrooms speaks volumes about the restaurant's overall cleanliness and attention to detail. A solid A in our book. For a memorable dining experience with exceptional food and service, we wholeheartedly recommend this culinary haven.

Yelp
Came by for a late dinner. I was tired and hungry after a long day. Server was very friendly and attentive. This is a modern Mexican restaurant and the interior is really cool looking. Great spot to come and drink with friends. I ordered the chile lime shrimp and crap enchiladas. I asked for the red sauce and it came mole style. It was still delicious even though it wasn't what I ordered. Got the churros for dessert and they come in a cute little decorative deep fryer basket and dulce de leche to dip them in. Made for q good meal and I appreciated the service

Joe F.

Yelp
Tried this place out for the first time. Ambience is very cute. Lots of decor, light fixtures and cute colors to look at. Service was great. Our server was on point and helped us have a great experience. We had the traditional Guac, the queso fundido with chorizo. The asada burrito was really good. The steak was flavorful and tender. The green sauce enchiladas didn't have enough cheese for my taste. But they were good as well. Jalapeño margaritas were delicious! Will definitely come back!

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday evening for dinner. It was about a 15 minute wait without reservations. It was a party of 4 and our friends were running a bit late so we waited with some drinks and complimentary chips and salsa. The service was pretty fast and they were pretty attentive. We asked for some suggestions on foods and drinks. I tried the mango and strawberry margarita. Both were delicious, but I do like the mango one a bit more. We got the green salsa enchiladas with steak and mushroom. The carne asada fajitas. The presentation of the fajitas was cool. The steak was tender. However, portions were a bit on the smaller side for both entrees. Drinks were a little pricey as well. I would say it's close to or about strip/downtown prices for drinks. The ambience was awesome though. Really great decorations and a nice place to come sit and drink at the bar. Plenty of seating and a bar area as well.

Jenn M.

Yelp
Me, my son, and my mom went to this spectacular Mexican restaurant and it tasted awesome. We started out with a sangria for me and mom and my son got a horchata, we all agreed they were great, the other thing that was great was our server, Alyssa :) Our whole family was craving chimichangas and so we ordered two pulled chicken and a pork. My son had a kind of complicated order but Alyssa totally understood and agreed that the way he wanted it was how she liked it too. We got our orders and everyone loved them, my son absolutely devoured it. Then after Alyssa came over and her and my mom talked about Mexican food for a good five minutes and it was so cool watching them relate on that stuff. Then my son wanted to get a dessert and we got the churro bites that tasted awesome! Lastly I wanted to mention the decor and lights that were going on in that place, just stunning. Thanks Alyssa!

Yelp
Food service and ambiance are always mid tier, but Tiffany G made me wanna come back even after I moved from the area. 10 years here in southern highlands, and this spot is one of my favorites. Please recognize Tiffany G from Mexico! She is bringing you return customers. I really enjoy all the menu items and drink choices Just need some banging music events 5 stars for Tiffany 3 stars for the Biz

Yelp
Five star food. Five star service. Five star ambiance. Loved our waitress, Alyssa! (Go ask for her!)

Yelp
This place is a Hidden Gem, Great Food... The Best service!!! Hola Mexican Cocina + Cantina definitely lives up to it's name. It's very modern & unique when you compare this restaurant to its peers. The interior decor is very eye-catching & cool. Beautiful decorations throughout the restaurant. Overall The vibe inside is wonderful and very uplifting . The service was THE BEST, super welcoming staff, very attentive and especially their general manager Jenn ( we had a great conversation with her ) , she was wonderful, friendly and overall amazing person. We started with a basic like margarita, probably one of the best l've ever had. Definitely a MUST TRY. Their crafty drinks like their Mezcal-Rita's are amazing. When you order a drink, you'll notice a bingo card attached to it, make sure you save these so you can use them on their "loteria" bingo board. You can win a variety of free prizes after getting four in a row. They have the best HAPPY HOUR ever!!! We have tried out : the corn tortilla quesadilla , the Street Corn - " Dirty " , Tacos - Mahi Mahi and Shrimp and Sizzling Fajita- carne asada steak, chicken and Lime- chili shrimp. The food was delicious and fresh. Very flavorful and the steak was so tender and buttery, literally melts in your mouth. Tacos were tasty too and they were big and filling , definitely fairly priced for the amount you get. Everything from the cocktails, to the salsa, to the unique twist to traditional Mexican side dishes was amazing. We highly recommend this super fun authentic Mexican place to anybody! All we can say is WOW !!! Definitely worth visiting!!!

Lizzy L.

Yelp
Hola, to my new favorite Mexican place!!! :) I had been meaning to go here for a long while and finally made it!! The food and service was fantastic! Shame on me for missing our server's name. He was so attentive, pleasant, and gave service with a beautiful smile!! We ordered the following and I HIGHLY recommend you do too ;) 1. Dirty guac - so fresh and so good! Who knew dirty could be so good?! ;) 2. Streen corn- Madre's style! Mama knows, mama knows! 3. Avocado caesar salad - refreshing and balances out all the cheesy goodness from the other dishes! 4. Grilled shirmp and chorizo quesadilla - huge and cheesy! 5. Carna asada steak and mushroom enchiladas - tasty and wrapped in blue corn tortillas! 6. Mucho loco sundae - got to save room for this fun treasure trove dessert! Lastly, their mezcal'ritas!!!! All their cocktails looked delicious but they had me at mezcal! Had the cherry limeade one and it was perfect!!! Looking forward to trying their other drinks!! Cheers!!

Yelp
We came here for our adult date night. The place had nice atmosphere and the waitress was very on point. She make sure to ask about food allergies before she set food down, and made sure to let us know the green salsa has pork because husband cannot eat pork. She was very good on checking in and refilling things throughout the night without being intrusive. The food was really good, but I personally didnt like the rice side dish on the plate (red stuff with the drizzle), but that was a new trying item for me and it is purely personal preference in regarding the like or dislike of it, but ultimately it was all very good. My husband got the flan and he didnt like the cake portion (which was very dense) and only ate the flan portion. I however ate the rest with no issue. I think personal preference and not a food issue Overall we would absolutely come back!

Ericka S.

Yelp
We had a wonderful time, as usual! We went in around 7 pm on a Saturday night and got a seat right away for the 2 of us. We've been here quite a few times as we live really close, and this was the first time we actually have been in a booth. They are super spacious! You could easily sit 6 people comfortably in them. The vibe is always great in there, and we sat sort of in the back, so it felt a bit more private. Our food was top-notch per usual! I ordered the mole enchiladas for the first time and they were really good! Our server was Janet, and she was great! She was very nice, super attentive, and helpful. She even pointed out a good dessert which we got to go, the hola chocolate flan. I'm not the biggest fan of Flan, but I decided to give it a try since it has a brownie base, and Janet convinced us. It was pretty good! This is a spot we frequent at least once every few months, and we love it! We have always had great experiences whenever we come in, and this was no exception! Great food, good vibe, and wonderful service!

Jane E.

Yelp
The restaurant has a feel good atmosphere w/ the decor, lights, plants etc. the staff is super nice! Hats off to Edmund - the chef w/ some amazing flavors to all of the food - mahi tacos, chicken fajitas, ahi ceviche, flan. We were stuffed! Margaritas are on point too! It is located off the strip but definitely worth the drive.

SisterMable S.

Yelp
Really splendid meal! This is my second visit. The first was for my birthday, but I left so inebriated that I couldn't tell you what all I had. I'm sure it was delicious lol. Today I came back for brunch, but ordered off the regular menu. My server was really sweet and careful, asking about and recording allergy info. The blue corn tortilla quesadilla was absolutely loaded with cheese, and came with a nice chipotle cream and pickled red onions. Chefs kiss. Avocado Caesar salad was fresh, crisp, and delicious. I'd like to call special attention to the person who was cleaning each table after customers left. This guy was a total champion - carefully getting in there and cleaning every table surface and the seating, then pulling the table out, and then cleaning the floor. Winning.

Erica G.

Yelp
A beautifully detailed restaurant with vibrant colors and visuals. Art is displayed all throughout the restaurant. Staff is welcoming and the menu definitely sets the bar high with vegan and seafood options. Tonight we started with the guacamole and a michelada both were above average for Mexican restaurants. Our courses were the ahi tuna tacos with mango salsa and the mahi mahi fajitas. Both dishes were packed with flavor and perfect amount of spice. My favorite above all was their fideo. Yes they serve fideo as a side. It brought me back to my mom's casita. Sweetness

James T.

Yelp
Been here 3 times. Finally writing a review Everything I have ordered has been amazing and delicious. Pork belly tacos are my fave. The chupacabra elite is a must order. Love all the different cocktails too

Kimbale L.

Yelp
Cliff Notes Price Range: $$ Parking: Plenty Perk: Food Non-Perk: Waiter, while nice, took a while, every single time Ambiance: Cute Noise: Low Recommend: Yes Dissertation Brace yourselves, amigos, because this place has unleashed a flavor evolution that will blow your sombrero off! When we arrived, the mouthwatering aromas instantly embraced us like a warm abrazo. The menu, just bursting with exciting options, had my taste buds jumping like joyful jumping beans. They had 2 different salsas, both were a perfect blend of heat and flavor, one just a little more spicier than the other. Chips were nice and crunchy with a unique flavor all their own. Oh, the tacos! They were heavenly creations, tender tortillas hugging fillings that danced a flavor in my mouth. But the magic didn't stop there. I ordered a burrito, the Pork Belly and Shoulder Carnitas, which the whole "shoulder part" description had me a tad creeped out, but be it as it may, I downed that thing. It was so good! My husband ordered the Carne Asada Steak Chimichurri, which to me was ok, he loved it tho. The side of cilantro rice and fideo con chipotle crema had my taste buds jumping again! I almost couldn't stand the intensity. We were too full to order dessert, however one of our peeps was celebrating his birthday and they brought him the best fried ice cream, with some yummy fruity-pebbles holding on to the rim by their little, crispy fingers! All of us had to partake in this harmonious symphony of tastes before we exploded with delight. I would highly recommend this place, however the last booth by the bathrooms I would try and stay away from. The mirror reflection from the light has you in a permanent spot light. Unless you're into that kind of thing, then maybe this would be the ideal seat for you!

Yelp
We were in the mood for Mexican food and came across this spot in the Southern Highlands area! : Hola Modern Mexican Cocina Let's get into the decor... I loved that they had a mix of modern fixtures with some items that appeared to be more traditional. They had pops of color throughout and neon signs that made you want to see more of the space. Layout wise, I loved that you have the option of chillin on their patio or staying cool on the inside. To the most important part...food & drinks! Food Achiote Jackfruit & Plantain Enchiladas (vegan option ) - loved every bit of it! The jackfruit was smokey and seasoned. The corn had a nice, grilled char to it and it was sweet. The plantain bites inside were fried to perfection. It comes with a bean sauce on top and I asked for a side of guac. Chicken Quesadillas- my bestie had these and enjoyed them. It was a TON of food, so you'll have plenty of leftovers. Drinks La Bota - a vodka, Moscow Mule that was too good! La Maceta - a Mango margarita. These were a couple of drinks covered under their Happy Hour as well! I cannot forget the AMAZING server we had! She was so helpful in making sure I had full awareness of my options as a vegan and she made the experience so pleasant. A true gem! Overall, I'll definitely be back! 5 / 5 stars !!!

Yelp
I am ashamed of the number of times I've driven past this place and not given them a try. Friendly service, great ambiance that I'm sure is fantastic during brunch, and a large, well executed menu. I got the pork belly and shoulder tacos, hands down some of the best tacos of my life. I did add a bit of the green salsa served with the complimentary chips to take it to the next level. The dirty street corn is fantastic and serves as a perfectly balanced appetizer. Don't forget about their BOGO Happy Hour. I tried the White Sangria this time, but next time I'll go for a tequila based drink. This place is a tequila drinkers haven with flights and many premium options. I will be back again and again.

Jerry K.

Yelp
Looked the place up and visited WOW!!!!! Had the Dirty Guac, ceviche and house salad Along with the El Diablo Margarita All fantastic. Service was spot on And the decor was so unique If we are ever in the area we will DEFINITELY return

Marti B.

Yelp
It's been awhile since I've been here at Hola's. As always, Jenn is great as a GM and takes care of her customers, always! Sara is new at the restaurant but her experience brings great customer satisfaction. I will say it's the first time I've ordered the chicken fajitas there and it's the best I've ever tasted hands down and I'm really not a fan of fajitas, they were delicious!! The ambiance sitting has always been amazing for sure.

Racquel E.

Yelp
Hubby and I really enjoyed the ambiance, food and service at Hola Modern Mexican Cocina and look forward to our next visit. They served fresh chips & salsa with a few house-made tajin dusted chicharron. Hubby had the Sizzling Fajitas Sonoran Spiced Chicken with roasted peppers, onions, cilantro, serrano chile and flour tortillas, and I had Huevos Rancheros Divorciados with 2 fried eggs over easy, avocado, crispy blue corn tortilla, black beans, ranchero & verde sauce, queso fresco, queso cotija and served with elote fries - my dish was so good!

Yelp
So a friend from out of town wanted authentic Mexican food and being a yelper I selected the closest (to our hotel) top rated restaurant for his experience. The food was a solid 4 and being from So Cal I can tell you what a 5 is and that whilst being creative sometimes a good chef can overthink flavors a bit. The quality of the meat (carnitas/asada) used for our tacos/enchiladas/burritos was really high and the flavor good. The accompanying flavors added were a bit overwhelming. Good, but a bit too much. So why the overall 3 which I never give out (mostly). The service was slow and I ended up paying the bill around an un-bussed table. It was slow, we weren't in a hurry and the service was like the place was crowded. A bus boy cleaned the table next to us (no guests) given them 5 open tables in my eyesight. Yet our table still had a pile of dishes including an appetizer plate long since cleaned off by us (it was good!). Service can make a meal and it can ruin one. I was embarrassed tbh.

Yelp
Delicious food! Great cocktail! I had the steak chimichurri quesadilla, which was amazing. I tried their pomegranate margarita yum! My bartender Joy was awesome too. I definitely recommend Hola.

Yelp
This place has seating where you can dine inside or outside. The inside is very cute - decorated with sugar skulls, colorful lights and beautiful photos. Their menu is well put together and they have many different cocktails and spirits to choose from along with appetizers, entrees , and desserts. Their staff is super friendly and are happy to explain all their options and drinks. Their drinks come with a loteria card that you can collect to play bingo and win free items. We ordered the nachos and they were HUGE. You can definitely share with 2-4 people. We also ordered "la bota" and the cherry mezcal-Rita . Both were really tasty. We will definitely be back. This place is amazing.

Yelp
Had been wanting to try this restaurant, and when we finally tried it, the food was not worth the price. I've definitely had better Mexican food and I don't know what about their food makes them "modern." The only upside was the presentations of the cocktails.

Yelp
Super overpriced, non consistent and bland. The cocktails did not taste the same upon ordering several and the food, very bland and lacking flavor. It would appear you are paying for the atmosphere instead of quality and care. Plus, it's like they had some version of "now that's what you call Mexican music soundtrack" while Godzilla played on the screens. My elote was very cold and the rest of my party wasn't thrilled with their selections either. For what we were charged... it was definitely a lesson learned. Won't be back- which is sad as I recommended this place on my 1st visit month ago.

Yelp
I can't believe it's taken me a while to do this! If you're looking for a place a little fancier than casual Mexican dining without having to travel into the Strip, you have to check out Hola! They have some of the most amazing staff I've dealt with. They also have quite a large number of vegan/vegetarian options. The food is consistently delicious and fairly priced for the amount you get. This should be a top spot for date night.

Yelp
I have nothing but good things to say about this place! The food was very tasty that when I go back, I would order the same thing (carne asada tacos!!!!) The service was great. Our waiter was attentive to our party, and she made sure that we had everything that we needed. On top of the delicious food and great service, the ambiance was perfect for its theme! Definitely fun and modern in my eyes. Btw. The mini churros is A MUST! You need to order it and eat it as soon as you get it.

Yelp
I had the honor and privilege of dining here with my family. The restaurant is cute and very IG worthy. Service was despacio (slow) and the food was super yum! Our server sold us on the special and my goodness was bangin'. I had the torta with pork belly and it came layered with so much awesomeness. I discovered abhorrga (spelling) which is where the torta is served wet, I opted for it on the side, and the sandwich came with pickled jalapeños. This was a slam dunk, y'all. I dipped this Sammy, added a pickled jalapeño on each bite. I live 45 minutes from this joint and would drive across town for this Sammy. The guacamole was probably the worst ever... why did you put cumin in it. Why???? Chips and salsa come and they have a few chicorons included. Salsa was yum. Loved the citrus-limeade agua Fresca I ordered, it was sweet, sour and a lil spicy with the jalapeño. Hola, this isn't adios for us. Hasta la vista, baby!

Yelp
Saturday morning brunch at the Southern Highlands location is a must do! From the aesthetics to the friendly server to the food, everything was on point. We started with a complimentary basket of chips and chicharrones with salsa. We ordered cocktails- a pomegranate mimosa for me, a huge Bloody Mary for my husband. His drink came with a Lotería card- collect and play for prizes every month. I had the Mexican French Toast - perfection! Sweetly fried bread loaded with fruit and pecans, with whipped butter and honey on the side, it was a real treat. My husband had a torta, and I tried one of his elote fries- equally impressed. My only request would be bottomless cocktails, as I could have stayed and admired the decor much longer. ;)

Yelp
Hubby and I love finding local restaurants to try when we are traveling. While in Vegas we decided to venture into Henderson and discovered this festive location. Immediately, upon walking though the door we were greeted by the hostess and seated pretty quickly (we came just before 5pm on a Wednesday. Our waitress was so kind. We were served with complimentary chips and salsa (red and green) and it was so fresh! I'm a salsa lover and both were wowing me! We ended up ordering Madre Style Guacamole (double yum)! Hubby got the carne asada tacos and I ordered the large meatball soup. Holy crap, we couldn't fish our plates. I thought I finished half a bowl of soup... even after putting it in a to go container, the bowl was still full. I could barely finish one meatball. Next time I will order the small. I have to speak on the ambiance as well. The decor was stunning and colorful. What caught my eye the most were the dragonflies. They hit home as my dad has passed and always sends me dragonflies to let me know he is there. He would have loved it. Thank you for working so hard making great food and a lovely place to eat.

Yelp
We absolutely fell in love with this place. It is beautifully decorated, it gives a very welcoming vibe and they play good music. The food was delicious and we love the variety of salsas. And cannot forget to mention the incredible staff. They were so great. Made us feel so comfortable from the second we walked in and all through our time here. I'd definitely recommend when in vegas!

Yelp
Service was great from the start. My server joy I believe was amazing. The horchata fire and the food was fresh and delicious.

Yelp
Went on a nice date here for happy hour. Great service and everything we had was really good from the happy hour menu. Will definitely come back again

Yelp
Food and drinks are very good. Service last night was a miss. My waitress disappeared for almost 20 mins. No tortillas were sent out after ordering them. Won't be back

Yelp
Came here for dinner while in town. Warm chips and salsa served. Ordered beers as 2 for 1 after 9 pm. We shared the chicken fajitas. Came with beans and rice. All the toppings including guacamole included for $26. Enough for both of us. Service was decent. Prices a bit high for Mexican food. Ambiance was fine but again the restaurant was nearly empty. Will go back though.

Yelp
I was told that I needed to try Hola and it was delicious but also expensive for Mexican food. You can tell the quality was there and the service was excellent so it's 5 stars and a recommendation to others but I'd say it's a $$$ restaurant

Yelp
Came as a walk in on cinco de mayo and only had to wait 30 mins for a table at lunchtime. Service was really good and the food was AMAZING. Portions are very filling. I ordered the carne asada chimichurri tacos with avocado and I could eat them again and again. In fact I did reheat them as leftovers the next day and they were still great. The enchilada green sauce on my brother's dish was so flavorful and love the blue corn tortilla with both meals. My mom got the pulled chicken quesadilla and we literally loved everything. Plus complimentary chips and salsa was a nice touch. Visited from out of town but would honestly go back.

Yelp
Happy Hour with the besties is a must! BRING YOUR BESTIES TO HAPPPY HOUR. We enjoyed the service and food. We ordered ceviche and quesadilla along with guacamole. I love that they give you an option to order chips or veggies with the guacamole. I loved the portions. It was enough food for us. Make sure to order drinks from the happy hour menu
