From the moment I arrived, the experience was completely horrendous. Customer service was terrible—when calling the front desk, staff answered the phone as if they didn’t want to be bothered. Even worse, the front desk staff were dressed inappropriately; one employee was wearing a crop top, stomach exposed, which is highly unprofessional for a hotel setting.
When I entered my room, I immediately noticed multiple issues:
• The tissue box was empty.
• The bed sheets and linens were extremely wrinkled.
• The fitted sheet had a large hole, exposing the cotton on the mattress.
I called to request a linen change, and the housekeeping staff who arrived was rude and aggressive, openly complaining about how it was time for her to go home. She even admitted that management is aware most of the sheets have holes and that the washing machines are damaging the linens further.
To top it off, when I requested a late checkout to try and salvage the stay, I was told I’d have to pay $60 just for one extra hour—with no regard for the multiple problems I experienced.
This was by far one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had. The lack of professionalism, cleanliness, and hospitality is unacceptable for any hotel, especially one connected to a casino.
I will not return, and I do not recommend this property to anyone looking for quality accommodations in Detroit
