"I saw picket lines outside Hollywood Casino at Greektown as valets, dealers, housekeepers, food and beverage staff, and engineers joined a month-long strike demanding better pay and protections; valet cashier Tavera McCree of Teamsters Local 1038 described the moment as defining for workers and said the gains will change the lives of families living paycheck to paycheck.
