I had a wonderful stay at the Hollywood Hotel! From the moment we checked in, Michael and Phil were so kind, welcoming, and helpful. They made the whole process smooth and set a great tone for our visit. The hotel felt very clean and secure, which gave us peace of mind. It was also surprisingly quiet, which made it easy to relax — a rare find in LA. While the room and elevator were slightly outdated and our room didn’t have cold water from the sink, everything else was perfect. The comfort, cleanliness, and calm atmosphere more than made up for those small issues. We would absolutely stay here again. Huge thanks to Michael and Phil for their hospitality and for making our experience so enjoyable!

⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Great Stay with Room to Roam (and Room for Pets!) We had a lovely experience at the Hollywood Hotel! One of the biggest highlights was how pet-friendly it is—our pup was welcomed with no hassle, which made the whole trip much more enjoyable. The room itself was surprisingly spacious and well-kept, giving us plenty of room to relax after a day of exploring. That said, the location was a bit further from the main Hollywood attractions than we expected, and the parking fees were on the steep side. Still, if you’re traveling with pets and want a comfortable place to stay, this hotel is a solid choice.

I had a wonderful stay at the Hollywood Hotel! The amenities were top-notch clean, convenient, and everything I needed to feel comfortable and relaxed. The staff overall was friendly and helpful, but I want to especially shout out Pil for their amazing customer service. Pil consistently went above and beyond to make sure everything was going smoothly during my stay. It’s rare to come across someone who genuinely cares and checks in with such kindness and professionalism. Thank you for making my experience that much better! I’ll definitely be back.

We had a nice stay at Hollywood Hotel. I selected the hotel due to its close proximity to Children's Hospital, which was the purpose of our trip. Parking was fairly easy, and the lot was gated and well-lit. Service at the front desk and from housekeeping was great. If you like a firm mattress, you're in luck. The hotel itself is in need of some repairs, and a good cleaning of the carpets in the hallways would do wonders for the overall appearance. The interior courtyard is beautiful. If you choose a "city view" room, you'll be overlooking the parking lot or the businesses along Vermont. The pool area is nice and it has an adjoining covered patio.

First time staying. Small water leak under sink. Staff did offer another room but we were already unpack and that’s a lot with three kids. $$$ to park. No complimentary food or drinks. No coffee in the lounge. Poop was not heated so kids were a bit confused where the hot tub was. Anyway.

Hollywood Hotel was delightful! Everything exceeded our expectations. |We stayed on the second floor with a view of the pool. Room was large and clean.|The pool area was wonderful and everything was clean. The grounds were lavishly landscaped. Inside 1st floor was an outdoor lounge area with fountain with couches and tables. Ideal to sip wine or cocktails and visit with friends and family.

Google
Firstly the positives, lovely comfy beds and rooms and the pool area is nice and there is a lovely courtyard to sit in the evenings, however there was no restaurant or bar and the area around the hotel is very downtrodden with lots of homeless people and no where else to eat or get a drink. Def not what we booked or expected. There is somewhere to get breakfast but it is very over priced with terrible service. We also had to ask for our room to be cleaned. Would not recommend.

Google
We only stayed for two nights. Our experience was great - staff were friendly and helpful. Room was extremely comfortable and the outlook was a pretty courtyard. Had we been staying longer then the location would not have been ideal as there was very little in the surrounding area & without a vehicle, it was approx $15 per trip in a cab to get to central attractions. Despite this, I would stay again but would be better prepared. We did not have opportunity to use the swimming pool but took a look & would definitely have used it if time had allowed.

Yelp
First time here! Nice lobby. Clean, comfortable room. Style is definitely reminiscent of old Hollywood. Cute, cute, cute! Front desk was professional and friendly. Nice restaurant. Beautiful interior courtyard with a fountain that runs 24x7. They play relaxing music until 10pm. You can open you room door at night for fresh air and to hear the babbling water fountain. Very relaxing. Room rates are moderate and comparable to a Hampton Inn, but I feel you get a lot more here.

Yelp
This was a terrible experience. Checked in and noticed the room had a strong odor like they recently painted. However, felt there wasn't much I could do about it. We go into the restroom and use a towel that is hanging on a towel rack connected to the wall, and it completely falls off of the wall. It was obviously broken prior to our stay. Left for dinner and came back and the TV stopped working after 10 min giving a message saying "no signal"... it was late already and went to take a shower and when I got out of the shower I noticed a cockroach crawling around in our bathroom. It was 2am and I didn't want to disturb my friend who was already sleeping to switch rooms. The next day housekeeping did not restock toiletries. So we were out of toilet paper. Also, tried the TV again, and was getting the same message. Called the front desk and they suggested that maybe we were using the incorrect HDMI output, I explained that I had tried all of them and it was giving me the same message. Never once did they offer to come and assist. Seemed like we were on our own with that one. We were in town for a concert so we got ready and left. We returned and the TV was still not working. I went down to the front desk and spoke w Julio about it all, and he said that "I'll try and come help you but I'm kind of busy right now"... and he never showed up or called the rest of the night. I asked if we could get a late check out, and he said that was fine and to check out by 1pm. The next morning at 11:30 am Yajira at the front desk called our room stating that we should be checked out by now and that we are going to be charged an extra $90 if we aren't out in 30 min. I explained that Julio had told us the night before we could leave at 1 and she said there were no notes of that she's just letting us know that we are going to get charged. After loading our vehicle, I went and spoke with her in person where she showed no improvement in her attitude or customer service when I explained everything that had gone wrong w/ our stay and she looked at me with a blank face and said "okay". Not an apology or any type of suggestion for a resolution or compensation. I asked for contact information of who I could reach out to about this experience and she provided me with the email info@hollywoodhotel.net. Overall this was the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel. The customer service was non-existent. Along with the almost $40 parking fee per night is insane! I will never be staying here again, and spreading the word to all of my friends who also travel to the LA area frequently to not stay here.

Yelp
Nice clean and quiet hotel with standard amenities including laundry room, fitness center, swimming pool, microwave in the rooms, ice and vending on every floor! There is a courtyard with a fountain on site! Also hotel is conveniently located next to metro transit, convenience stores and restaurants. Customer service is also nice! Only downsides are $200 deposit required at check in! No coffee maker in the room!

Yelp
This is easily the worst "hotel" I've ever stayed in my entire life. And I've stayed at a lot of hotels. This place was completely CATFISH, from the Expedia photos. Every piece of furniture in the room is old, battered, moldy, the vents were filthy, bathroom sink cracks on it, parking is $40 a day (they don't tell you that when u book) and right outside are homeless tents, NEVER STAY HERE!

Anne B.

Yelp
Shout out to Hollywood Hotel for their excellent service, pleasant & helpful staff, a very nice interior & modern, comfortable rooms. Also grateful for the "wildfire discount"! Truly a good & safe haven during this uniquely challenging & sad time for us who call this fair city home. The only possible downside of staying at this hotel is the neighborhood - would not recommend walking along the nearby streets at night - but this is, of course, outside of the hotel's control. 1/9/2025-1/11/2025

Yelp
The website photos were misleading and the room looks nothing like the photos they have up. When confronted at the front desk they said those rooms were already booked and hotel was full. We travel a lot and I have never had a room look so completely different than what was shown on a website. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Yelp
Friendly front desk. very helpful. It was a cool vintage hotel built in 1939. Has normal wear . The Rooms are small but clean. it has a cool courtyard in the center of the hotel. Gated parking. good place for the price.

Yelp
Very disappointed in this hotel. We had to search for housekeeping to get towels and toilet paper. The shower door gasket was missing so water flooded the bathroom. We had to use 5 towels to keep the water from flooding the bathroom floor. My husband went to the front desk requesting more towels on the 2nd day and was told housekeeping would bring them to our room. 2 hours later no towels, husband called front desk and was asked to come get them. He said he'd been down there and could someone bring them to our room. The only reason I'll leave 2 stars is the room was clean when we arrived as well as the 2nd day. The main reason we stayed here was for the car charger. When My husband made the reservation he was told yes they had car chargers, no mention of them nit working as well as no mention of $35/day for parking at the hotel

Yelp
We really wanted to like this hotel :( upon arriving there was an intoxicated unhoused man pacing back and forth across the driveway entrance. We also noticed the two water bottles full of urine on the driveway. Check in was super easy and staff was friendly. We drove around to park in the gated back lot and must have passed 5-6 drug deals taking place on the sidewalk next to the hotel along with people actively using. When we walked in our room the first thing we noticed was how musty it smelled and that there was a very loud window a/c running. The room itself was dark and not well-lit. We got ready for our event and left - upon returning to the hotel that evening we both still felt uneasy and decided to check out and not spend the night. I was also bummed because I had noted we were in town for our anniversary when the hotel reached out the day before check in to ask if we were celebrating anything special - there was no mention of our anniversary which was odd considering they asked.

Yelp
The Hollywood Hotel bistro is out here serving breakfast classics with fan favs. The HH LOX hits. Love the asthetics of course that old Hollywood dinner feel with a new bistro twist, definitely got to try it guest or not.

Yelp
I give it two stars just because we had a place to stay for a big concert. That said, don't let the lady in the suit at the front desk fool you. She's certainly nice, but the room is less than clean. Hair on the bed and in the bathroom, and the mildew in the shower is beyond words. And the weirdest thing is none of the power outlets work unless or until you turn on the main light once you enter the door. Only then will the outlets work - even in the bathroom. But... that light is on a timer, so don't think you can go to bed and just charge your phone. And they only have one place to eat, until 11:00 in the morning. I will say the food was delicious, but $80 for a waffle, an omelet, and 2 cups of coffee is outrageous.

Yelp
A good choice for the location and nearby prices. Hollywood Hotel has definitely seen its best days a couple decades ago. Current management and staff do a great job of keeping it clean, and great option to stay in the Hollywood area. We had a room on the south exterior, with a patio (small separation sticks between rooms) and cool view of the LA skyline. Pharmacy and food options within a couple minute walk. The pool was a good setup. Secure parking lot. Restaurant and bar stopped running during Covid. Building feels a little run down. Bath towels were depressing. Our fridge started making a funky smell on day two. I was nervous on security from the patio with the separation 'sticks' between hotel rooms.

Yelp
Well there website is deceiving. I booked a room because of there Route 66 Pub and when I arrived they told me it was out of commission and it was closed. The reason I booked is for the Pub and they refused to refund me my hotel fees. The smart Ass girl in front desk was oh well ur reservation is non refundable with a sassy smirk. I would not recommend this place to stay. It's rude to let people on to make them stay in there hotel. Very misleading. The GM never responded back to me about the refund. They don't care about you or ur stay. Plus it's not in North Hollywood. It's in the Ghetto

Yelp
Had my laptop stolen from room. I don't know how exactly or what time -- all I know is my laptop was there when I went to sleep that evening, and when I woke up it wasn't in my room anymore. I am certain and completely aware of what was in my room. The kicker has to be the lights were on when I went to sleep and when I woke up they were off. I woke up in the middle of the night to some weird sound I think my laptop was stolen by staff or housekeeping. I've called twice now about the lost and found.

Yelp
Does not accept credit cards like a normal hotel. You have to pay a specific amount via Paypal and send the receipt to a corporate .net account to prove you paid. The shadiest, scammiest money-laundering system I've ever encountered.
google avatar

Yelp
DONT stay here. Security sucks. Front desk sucks. Management sucks. I've never experienced such terrible customer service.

Derek R.

Yelp
started with them overcharging for parking. Didn't see until after checkin and the manager wasn't available to rectify. Both the towels were dirty or stained but they wouldn't bring new ones - had to go to the front desk to exchange them. Don't use the charging station it was over $40 for three hours and the pricing was a little misleading - others in the area are $2 per hour. Not what you would expect from a hotel service. The room was 127 and it was loud plus the room was not stocked well.

Yelp
I was traveling to the area for a medical procedure and really struggled finding a place to stay that I felt was safe and secure. We chose Hollywood Hotel based on reviews, although mixed. From our arrival time to check out, everything was fantastic. Although the area is "sketchy" as others have pointed out, the hotel property is extremely well kept, clean, and very spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. For being in downtown Hollywood, it was very quiet and peaceful. You will want to pay the extra for the on-site parking. It's very close to Kaiser Hospital and there are quite a few places to eat within walking distance. The hotel has some interesting history if you have time to investigate. Definitely worth the stay!

Yelp
Worse stay in my experience among hotels. The hotel room was dirty, the fridge didn't work. The tv was broken and they had ants crawling the room. When I asked to switch room they said that the hotel tries to stay energy efficient by turning everything off when the room is not occupied. They said that everything should be powered on and the fridge can take an hour or so to get going. We put our newborns milk in the fridge to feed in 3 hours. Woke up to learn that it never powered on. We asked to change room they wouldn't allow it. They sent a technician only to find out that they never plugged our fridge into the socket. The technician was able to fix the fridge but we still had a broken tv, dirty sheets and crawling ants. They were not very nice and very unprofessional. They would not budge on switching rooms. I would rate this hotel a 0 if I could. Do not stay at this hotel. If you are staying here because you are going to CHLA or any of the hospitals, I recommend staying at the other hotels. Trust me this hotel is very bad place. It has a weird odor and the surroundings seem very sketchy and unsafe. Lots of homeless people in the area. I don't have a problem with homeless but there are some with mental issue that attempted to fight a random person or piss near the area. Very bad experience. Could not get a refund because I purchased through hotels.com, which is a big mistake. Moving forward purchase directly through the hotels so that if they are not delivering you good service you can dispute for quality of service.

Fran B.

Yelp
Rooms were dark. My shower faucet didn't work. The restaurant was expensive and had very bad service.

John H.

Yelp
Several issues: Despite there website stating breakfast, they don't have it. This is frustrating when your planning funds around vacationing and you run into this headache for the family. You're told to pull to left of gate for it to open when parking, and that the gate will read the license plate and open. This is not the case. Need to press button for both in and out. The elevator looks like it will be stop working at any given moment. The ceiling has cracks in it Wall paper is coming off Shower faucet is operated by pulling the knob back towards you. There is no signage of this, but when you call the front desk they immediately know why you're calling.
google avatar

Ashley D.

Yelp
Now, why would someone give this hotel anything less than four stars? Maybe it's depending on when they stayed? I can honestly say this is one of the most coziest and quietest hotels I've stayed in in a long time in LA. The only thing is they have minor repairs that need to BE FIXED. But it does not change how clean the hotel is and the price is honestly unbeatable. If you are knowing that you're coming to the area and not needing to stay in your hotel for hours and hours and hours this is a perfect stay for anyone.

Yelp
DO NOT STAY HERE! They are falsely advertising their rooms and rates. Their online images of their rooms are completely altered. From the bathroom, to the bedding, to even the color of the paint on the walls! The room I was given looked absolutely NOTHING like the one we booked online. When confronting the manager on staff with this I was simply told they were happy to up grade me to the room in the pictures for an added fee with no apology and no other solution to rectify the issue she was clearly aware of. In regards to the rates, their online advertisement was for the beautiful starlight queen room, a light bright room with a beautiful black and white tiled vintage bathroom, complimentary robes and topped with beautiful bedding. For $109 a night as a Spring deal. Upon check in I was charged $220! I was unable to cancel for a full refund being that it was day of and I no longer qualified. I drove over 14 hours to stay in an expensive, filthy, old run down room and was practically laughed at by the manager when brining it to her attention and demanded I be moved to the room I actually booked and paid for. When reaching out to higher up management to resolve these issues all calls and messages went unanswered and I was hung up on by the front desk staff.

Yelp
Horrible experience, I felt like I was in a prison- you better not forget your key or you're locked out. Where do I start with the night desk rudeness? Vending machine dropped all the items we purchased to the bottom of the machine and I was rudely told to deal with the day manager- for what? She was just as worthless and said she couldn't do anything about the machine taking my $15.00. If you're going to Uber or Lyft be prepared to wait on the curbside not in the lobby, if the driver comes up the check in ramp you're going to get yelled at by- yes you guessed it the rude night front desk guy. This place looks cute in pictures but definitely not. To access the pool you have to come out the hotel building and cross the parking lot like naked & afraid. It has that extended, living run down apartment complex turned into a hotel feel. The patio on the third floor is communal so do think you're alone when you step out or forget to secure your slider! Also if you're not out at 11 do not ask for a late check out 30 minutes is all you get and yes we were struggling to lock our suitcase and the phone was ringing at 11:30 and we couldn't get to it fast enough- we had them at our door ready to escort us like something out of the green mile! I'm not kidding we had full escort out the back entrance to our vehicle. 10 outa 10 do not recommend. For $340 a night plus parking and donation to the vending machine not worth it.

Yelp
1 star is horribly generous. Whenever I come into LA I love staying at boutique/specialty hotels & I thought this spot would be another gem to add to my list- quite mistaken. There's not a single staff member that's actually helpful (despite the manager being there for 20yrs) and the entire place gave off an Instagram edited motel 6. If you wanna be properly creeped have at it, otherwise avoid at all costs.

Michael C.

Yelp
Daniel is the best front desk hotel guy in all of Hollywood. He is friendly, handsome charming and will bend over backwards to make sure his guests are comfortable. If you're in Hollywood, there's no better place to stay than the Hollywood hotel. Ask for Daniel and tell him Mike sent you good luck.

Laleh P.

Yelp
We loved our two night stay! Cute little bistro that sells delicious coffee and small bites. Would go again!

Zach D.

Yelp
I saw a lot of good reviews online but didn't love this stay... AC didn't work in my room so had to request a fan. Instead of offering to come look at the AC or switch my room, they just dropped off a cheap tower fan and expected that to suffice. Will be asking for a refund but don't expect anything. Vending machine on first floor didn't work, so no water until I went to different floors to try those and got a bottle of water for $3.00. Super loud in the room, you can hear everything outside. Just small, hot, and kinda trashy. Sorry for the bad review
google avatar

Michelle G.

Yelp
My experience was nothing like these bad reviews. I needed a hotel close to a nearby hospital and came across this place. It was a five minute drive to Sunset blvd and we booked it. Upon arrival we were greeted and checked in by Julio. He made check in quick and easy. I liked how convenient the check in parking at the front was, with secured parking right around the back. We stayed in a queen room on the second floor. The room was very clean, temperature was nice and cool, the bed was nice and cozy and decor in the room along with the Beekman bath products were all nice touches. The front desk guys Pil and Julio were very professional, nice and accommodating, which made things easy, especially in our stressful situation. If you're looking for a hotel in the area ignore the bad reviews and check it out for yourself. Very happy with our stay, accommodations, and the exceptional hospitality Julio and Pil provided us.

Yelp
The floors were filthy needed to be mopped and no conditioner in bath dispenser also front lobby staff very rude

Kira C.

Yelp
the hotel was dirty. dirty as in nats and bugs flying in the room and bathroom. the shower did not work. I got charged an extra $115.50 for having more guests in my room but when I checked in I was never asked how many guests were going to be in my room and specifically paid for a two bed hotel, one bed for me and my boyfriend and one bed for my friend to sleep in. Apparently when I called Hollywood hotel to figure out why I was charged an extra $115.50 without my consent or warning I was told they were watching me and my guests on the cameras walk into the room. Weird, I didn't know they were able to just watch me get in my room and charge me extra for that. The front desk employees were rude and refused to provide me with my original receipt that I signed for and only provided me with some made up receipt that is missing my signature. the hotel smelled like an animal died as soon as you walk in. the room was disgusting. the front desk employees are rude and yelled at me through the phone. DO NOT STAY HERE ! Also, the room looks nothing like posted on the pictures. Plus apparently if you have one extra guests staying with you because that's what you got the hotel for they will charge you an extra fee without telling you.

D M.

Yelp
This Hotel looks a lot better on the website, it's run down and expensive. Pro It's very spacious Cons Filthy and expensive $250 a night... NO WORTH IT
google avatar

Yelp
Yikes. It's almost as bad as just about everyone says. It was painfully clear that management was remodeling the rooms but either they weren't finished yet or they ran out of money because while my kids' room was at least somewhat upgraded in design and furniture, my wife and my room looked like it was stuck in the 60's. No wall art, kinda tore up and old and ratty looking. Whatever WAS done looked as if they upgraded from the 60's to the early 70's. It made little sense. While the water pressure and the hot water supply were pretty stellar, it didn't matter because we were on the 3rd floor (kids room was across the hall) and both rooms had ants. Yes. Ants. They seemed to be confused, no real trail and the ones we saw were in a tailspin, it didn't matter because they continued to be around. No matter how many we killed. Parking was fine, even tho' they charged too much for it. There was a microwave and a refrigerator in our room, so that was okay. There wasn't air conditioning in our room. We called front desk about it and they simply said, "...you're gonna hafta tough it out." Ummm... Awesome? We were close to what we we traveled to Hollywood for; so that was fine. Our balcony was attached to other rooms' balconies on our floor and there were no dividers which felt unsafe. It's a strange place. The photo of the hotel on their website is actually in the BACK of the property, not the front. Housekeeping didn't clean our room when we clearly left in time to have that done. It was just toooo pricey for what we received. If you don't care about where you stay and you don't mind some of these complaints I brought up, then by all means stay at the Hollywood Hotel. But we had ANTS. That was the thing that made me think to myself, 'We're paying a lot to stay at a place that purposefully deceives patrons on Trip Advisor. They had 4-41/2 stars on that site and photos are altered dramatically. I will never try to cheap out on a hotel room again. There's too many places just like this one on these sites and they need to try harder to get hard earned money from working class people. I know its probably just as tough getting a decent room from one of the chain hotels but there's at least a standard that a Holiday Inn or a Ramada has to hold to keep people coming back. I refuse to believe that ants will be just hanging out as well. At least I really hope not. I'm gonna go back to the safety of the ol' reliability of a hotel chain before I step back anywhere NEAR this place again.

Yelp
This is a total let down. The pictures advertised are not what you get. Trip advisor must have paid reviews. This is a filthy, rundown hotel. The beds are horrible. Ants and roaches in my room. The few outlets in the room did not work. It is overpriced for what you get. I do not recommend this hotel. No Pleasent part.
google avatar

Sunidhi G.

Yelp
I booked this place seeing their reviews and rating on Tripadvisor- but looks like they are all paid reviews or the hotel no longer provides what it used to at one time. LOCATION - it is NOT close to anything. 30+ minutes on Highway to the walk of fame or anything. They have FAKE advertising and INCORRECT info saying they are close to these places. Second - the rooms are shabbiest ever. Microwave does not heat, refrigerator has no cooling, coffee maker is broken. Shower in the bathroom was hanging. Barely any lights in the room either. and on top of it, they have no heating. For a 4 person room, all they have is a tiny heater which did not do anything. 3rd - No one CARES. The people at front desk are rude and do not care. Mentioned this to DENA who was at the front desk, and she did not bother to do anything!! No one is wearing masks either 4th - Paid parking. Totally a rip off. Park on the street for free. I do not even understand why they ask customers to pay since it is not like this hotel is located in a very popular area 5th - They still sell the rooms saying free breakfast but no NOTHING is provided. STAY Away. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in last 10+ years. Even cheap motels are better than this place

Yelp
This place is such a hidden gem in West Hollywood! I was planning on getting and Airbnb at first but comparing the prices, quality, and service, Hollywood Hotel was the best choice. Check in was super easy! Front desk was friendly and their lobby is super cute! Don't let the neighborhood fool you. NOTE: park in the loading area (main entrance sidewalk) check in, then go to the parking lot in the back to get access to private parking. The hotel also has a cute patio where you can relax or hang out with friends at night to the reflection of hanging lights. There is also a bar in their basement... we didn't get to check it out since it was a Monday and it was closed. The room was very clean and perfect size. It also has a window door to an outside balcony. The balcony is just a long shareable one, but we didn't see anyone outside during our stay. We paid a total of $147 per night, including parking! Private parking is a must for me. I wouldn't feel comfortable parking on the street with valuables in my car. This was the seller for me. Can't beat $29 parking compared to $50 in other hotels.

Riley ..

Yelp
This hotel is absolutely disgusting.. the first room we originally booked was so tiny and cramped, I figured it was just small and it was fine... no. There was used toilet paper and hair in my toilet along with hair in the shower and sink. Once we brought this to attention we got moved from floor 1 to floor 3. This room was a little bigger and nicer but the sheets were not changed between stays at all.. they were stained and smelt awful on all 4 corners.. I ended up spreading out my clothes on top of them so I could protect myself. the bed frames are made out of wood that is creaky and wobbly that are set on tile flooring. When you move in the bed the whole thing squeaks and moves across the floor... this place is so so so gross. On top of that. The parking situation is trashy, the area is absolutely horrendous, and the smell of the hotel is just bleach all around. Which is weird since NOTHING is clean.. everything is poorly lit, there is nothing in the vending machines and house keeping doesn't respect boundaries. Please just stay at a Hilton. Sleeping in your car would be better than this.

Yelp
Hollywood Hotel is just okay. Our room had a dirty floor but other than that it was fine. I like that there's a fridge and microwave in the room. There's also a little coffee maker. Definitely don't recommend using the vending machines though. The laundry room is a plus but there's only two washers and dryers. There's a gym and a pool. The pool is oddly located but we never used it. The gym is okay. Most of the staff are decent. I haven't had too bad of an experience with any of them. Like I said, it's okay.

Yelp
This hotel is not sanitary. I had tons on ants in my bed along with all over the bathroom and towels. I would not stay here. They refused to refund. Not great customer service either

Yelp
There are 197 one-star reviews here on Yelp so I doubt I can say something new. Tripadvisor shows this as a 4-star hotel and that's just LOL ridiculous. Believe the Yelpers, they know. Just to cover the basics: There is no free breakfast, and no restaurant at all. There is construction occurring. Parking is not included and really expensive. They need a full time maintenance guy ASAP. The best thing about this hotel was the street tacos being served at the illegal sidewalk business a block away after dark. I was forced to give at least one star so I dedicate that to the tacos down the street. Mmmm Al Pastor. I would mention that if you MUST be in this neighborhood, most other hotels are likely in the same condition. They are all suffering after covid, and nothing was in great condition before that. Just drive a little ways. You would pay less at the Marriott on Century Blvd, for example.

Yelp
It's functional, website photos are deceiving. The courtyard in the middle is super cute though we sat outside for a few hours (with our own alcohol) The staff was super friendly and helpful, noise wasn't an issue. Definitely wouldn't stay more than a night or two.

Yelp
This hotel is right in the middle of East Hollywood. It's close to the subway station and many stores and restaurants. The staff here is fantastic! The rooms are very cozy and cute. It reminds me of an Eastern European hotel. All the staff members were attentive and very kind to me. One night it was particularly cold and housekeeping came to my room and gave me an extra fluffy warm blanket! What a nice touch! The beds are comfortable and I love the free Starbucks coffee. There is a pool and sauna open until 8 too. Very nice accommodations here with pleasant and attentive staff. I stayed here with my cat. Very accommodating for pets as well! I get it. Yes, they need to update their website and advertising. The bar is closed and there is no free breakfast, most likely because of Covid. Let's be clear about one thing: EVERY place in Los Angeles charges for PARKING. That's just the way it is. Every hotel, high rise, shopping center, etc. in LA has a fee to park. This hotel has the safest and most convenient parking I've ever seen. The entering and exit gates read the license plate of your car for access. There are no cards or codes that you have to keep track of or fumble with. The lot has plenty of spaces and it is gated and very secure. Most hotels charge between $20-$50 per night for parking. That is standard here in Los Angeles. So to the people complaining about the parking, get over it. Or take your chances and park on the street. It's not the hotels' fault that there are homeless people everywhere. They are all over LA and the hotel has nothing to do with that. So get over that too!

Yelp
This definitely wasn't the nicest hotel I have stayed it. Don't be fooled by the pictures. To start the bed was rock hard. The staff was not welcoming and hardly friendly. There was a 200 deposit they didn't share on the website or through Expedia (were we had booked our room) so we had to run to the bank and it just made checking in a bit more frustrating. Parking is 35 dollars a night. Which is crazy. The room was incredibly small as they were aware we had a baby with us. It just made moving around the room difficult because we had her bed set up and all her things. And to top it all off, when we woke up, we found a crazy amount of ANTS everywhere!!! Apparently, the bar and kitchen were still being renovated, so no breakfast like the website said. Mind you, they have been "renovating" for at least a month now as I read a previous comment before checking in that she had the same problem. The ONLY thing that made this visit bearable was that there was an accessible patio with a nice view of the courtyard we could hang out on. If you like hard beds, hearing doors shut at night and a not so friendly welcome except from the ants in the morning. Then this is your place to be.

Yelp
It's clean and comfortable. I just don't really understand why we have to pay an extra $36 for parking when we're already paying for the room doesn't really make sense but whatever. One last thing to add it has no smart tv so you're kinda almost forced to pay $20 if you want to watch a movie. All in all tho it's a okay hotel.

Yelp
I live nearby and decided to take a stay cation. Order room service etc. Day before I get an email stating what there's to do at hotel. Listing spa, restaurants and bars.. type below states it's closed due to COVID.. I needed break from upstairs neighbors but foot traffic at hotel was terrible.. Woke up at 1, 3 am to doors slamming.. rooms are tiled and noise echoes. Understand that hotels amenities don't work and they continue to advertise as if they are functioning.. upon arrival there was a worm in my room.. no one ever came or I was never offered another room. Also room swore I would get 3 free gifts.. wasn't true.. also I was given room I didn't book..

Yelp
Between April 23rd - April 25th, I stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend and two of my friends. I used the Expedia app to reserve the rooms on April 13th and paid $485.86 upfront, including taxes and a $20 Hotel Booking Protection fee from Expedia. Upon arriving at the hotel, they charged me $59 for a deposit and another $27 for parking. Expedia did not inform me of these charges, which is unusual because they are typically forthcoming about this information. Upon arriving at my room, I saw two queen-sized beds, which I did not purchase. To change rooms or receive a partial refund, I took it upon myself to complain to a man working at the front desk. He was rude to my boyfriend and me when we complained about the bedding in the hotel. My friends arrived shortly after and walked with me back to the front desk, but we were unsuccessful in getting a partial refund. After arriving back from the hotel the next day, my boyfriend and I took a shower, but the water was cold. The water pipe was damaged, and the hotel did not take the liberty to inform us. After we got settled, my friends came from their hotel room to hang out. They told us they found several toothpicks in their room. We waited until we would leave before making another complaint. A few hours later, my friend Monique discovered two cockroaches behind the refrigerator that were in the cabinet near the door. Housekeeping cleaned our room earlier that day, so it was surprising to see such filth. After seeing this, my friends and I went back to the front desk to complain. Luckily another man was working, and he was very understanding and granted me another room for free. Once my boyfriend and I moved into the other room, it disgusted us with how bad it was. The wallpaper was chipping off, several holes were in the wall, the floor was filthy, and some tiles in the bathroom were damaged. I waited the next day to call the manager, as I was told by the man working at the front desk that she would be there by 8 AM. I called Expedia and was told that they would call the hotel to gather more information. Several days after our visit and I have not received an apology for the lack of cleanliness or the poor customer service of the front desk representative working the night of my arrival. As of April 27th, Expedia informed me that the hotel denied a full or partial refund. I am disgusted with this hotel, and I nor my friends will go back to this hotel.

Yelp
1. Room heat does not work so they have a plug in forced air fan to heat rooms! Mine was noisy! 2. Bathroom made very loud swooshing noise appx every 30 minutes so had to close bathroom door. 3. Two large parties checked in at 6:30am and they put them near my room. The front desk did not oversee them, therefore they were extremely noisy FOR OVER AN HOUR AS THEY HUNG OUTBIN HALLWAY AND and worst of all they went in and out of the side exit door 10 times - that banged each time. 4. Lastly someone dragged one of rhe heavy luggage trolleys up and down the hallways which are not carpeted. 5. No extra blankets when they know the rooms are cold! Positive???? Shower was hit and had string pressure. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Good coffee in rooms.

Yelp
The information should be upfront on the web page. No Bar drinks available. No breakfast. They said due to COVID. But the place really need upkeep and maintenance done. The picture on website super nice. But in person not so great. Website does not provide address. Email does not provide address. Had to maps it on google. Also entry getting inside was a challenge.
