Hollywood Pies

I was looking to reexperience the amazing deep dish that I had in chicago, since this place has a good reputation. Sadly, I was disappointed. It looked almost right, but the pie was drowned in tomato sauce. I was left with a soggy crust dripping with tomato juice instead of the crispy delicious pie I expected from a deep dish. Also, I wish there were more sausage and cheese on the pie instead of all that sauce. For $28+tax+tip I expected a better product. Granted, the pizza tasted good and it felt that the ingredients were fresh, but it doesn't make the other shortcomings okay. I guess they may be capable of making better pizza considering their reputation, but I'm not gonna risk shopping there again, before giving other famous places like Gino's east and Masa a chance.

My pizza turned out well and I enjoyed it quite a bit. And if that's all we got, I would have given this restaurant 5 stars, but unfortunately my friends pizza was undercooked and really doughy

I love their deep dish pizza. Every once in a while, we'll order a few pizzas from them for our crew. It's really good and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for something close to Chicago's deep dish. This place is at the top of my list.

Awesome and delicious pies!! Staff is exceptionally nice. This place is a must if you love pizza.

First off, the staff is nice so they get 2 stars for that. The pizza on the other hand is lousy. I grew up in Chicago so I know legit Chicago style deep dish and this is not it. Too little cheese, soupy weird tasting sauce and too much soggy dough. It's like they got the right ingredients but messed up all the ratios/cook time. I've had it twice and its equally bad each time. For good Chicago style pizza in LA try Chicago Stuffed Pizza Co. on Melrose (and no I do not work for them or paid to say this).

One of the not so many great pizzerias in LA. Comparable to the ones you get in Chicago! Highly recommend.

Yummy Chicago style 🍕 pizza. Pretty close to authentic. The pizza sauce is tangy with a noticeable garlic. Order ahead of time if you can because it takes about 40 minutes. There is no bathroom so don't take kids or if you have kids then order to go. The parking is street parking. So it is very dependent upon time of day. No fountain drinks..only can or bottles. The place is good, and for LA very good Chicago pies. But it is not a great place for you to take kids and sit down. But try the 🥧 pie and make sure it stays around

I was craving Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza and this place came through in the best way possible! Ordered a Build Your Own with a jalapenos and artichoke hearts. The restaurant delivered from 20 minutes away (through Grubhub), but the pizza was still hot when it arrived. The crust was sooo tasty, the sauce was zesty and the perfect consistency, and the cheese was the right amount and delicious as well. We heated up leftovers in the oven the next day, and it still tasted as good as the day before. Would definitely recommend and will be from eating here again!
