"Although it’s a great name for a carrot-loving cult, this restaurant in Notting Hill is all about plant-based eating. Grilled watermelon salads and glazed oyster mushrooms are some things on the short vegan menu, and there’s a list of natural wines to go with it. We recently checked out Holy Carrot. Read our first thoughts here.   " - sinead cranna, rianne shlebak

It’s alright- the ambiance was lovely but there was much left to be desired beyond that. The food was alright but I have definitely tasted better… It took an age for our food to arrive (we saw people who came after us and order after us, get served before us). On the plus side, after complaining, we were given a complimentary side dish (but also nothing to write home about- so much so, that for the life of me, I don’t remember what it was- the gesture is what made me rate it as a 3). The food was overpriced for the portion size (and the taste). When I mentioned that to our waiter- he replied in his Italian accent that “because the food is vegan” 😂😂(he quickly divulged that he was not vegan). Drinks were ok but also nothing special. All in all, I don’t think I’ll go out of my way to come back. So much potential but was well below my expectations. A bit of a downer for a birthday dinner but never mind, there are plenty of great vegan spots in London- this is just not one of them…

Incredible food, amazing vegan menu & choice with impeccable service from a lovely, friendly & attentive team. Took time but it was fully booked so completely expected but food is worth the wait. The truffle mash is heaven! Our only bug bare was being seated at the worst table with back to the restaurant for the entire evening. Couldn’t soak up the atmosphere or the ambience of the place. I’d strongly advise to look at your seating arrangements so all your guests can enjoy the experience equally. Still five stars for food & service.

Absolutely amazing food, beautifully presented and the staff and service were fantastic! Highly recommend to anyone looking for great quality vegan/veggie food in a beautiful setting. We'll definitely be going again as I need to try everything on their menu!

A wonderful hidden gem in the heart of Knightsbridge. A vegan lovers paradise. We tried the vegan: crispy sushi, calamari, buttermilk chicken and tofu. Each dish was a great ode to its meaty alternative. We loved the Asian flavours and would order each one of the dishes again. My personal favourite was the martini cocktail and the buttermilk oyster mushroom chicken! I’m normally a meat eater, but could easily convert if I had these meals every day. The venue was busy and the set up of the restaurant felt like a transitory area. The bright lights also didn’t help you relax. We visit for a pre-theatre meal, and were quickly sat and served. The tables were slightly too small for the number of dishes we ordered. I more relaxing ambience and staff would have made this an exceptional visit. A great venue for a quick bite after a tiring shopping spree.

In one word: Amazing. We were quite worried after having read that the dishes were bland, but I couldn’t disagree more. The sexy tofu is the best tofu I have ever eaten. I really liked the maki set as well. And the desserts are a cherry on top, we had the meringue and the apple crumble and they were both divine! The drinks are also great, we had the magician, the devil, the star and the hermit - my favorite was the devil but they are all really nice. The place is beautiful and the staff is attentive and gives great recommendations. We had an absolutely delightful time.

Staff were super nice and everything was amazing. Highlights were the triple cooked chips (not pictured) with the amazing truffle mayo and bbq sauce. The dessert was also one of the best things. Would definitely go again and had a nice atmosphere

We visited here for brunch and we’re not disappointed! The dishes, both lunch and breakfast, weee super tasty!! We came away very pleased and full up. The sexy tofu is super delicious and so make room for dessert! The restaurant itself is nicely appointed also!

Unfortunately our food experience wasn't great here. Based on images of the food, decor and price we were expecting to be wowed. The standard of food just wasn't good; the flavours were VERY bland, and we weren't sure what was supposed to be hot or cold as almost everything was warm (besides the "sexy tofu", which was served hot and our favourite main). The meringue dessert which was a 5/5 for my partner and the the best food for me of the whole meal was an unnamed little chocolate tart that was given as a gift as we were there to celebrate and event. Everything was presented beautifully and the service was very good (especially considering how busy it was with only 2 waitresses and 1 host). The rest of the food lacked almost any flavour at all, and even using the salt provided upon request the flavours still were very bland, which perhaps I would expect from raw foods but we ordered only cooked items. The cocktails as well were quite basic and average to below-average in taste. Very unfortunate since everything besides the food would have made this a lovely experience.
