Yelp
I love this BAR-B-QUE spot! I have been here several times, and the food is consistently good. Period. Let's jump right into this review.
What I've had:
Sides
Greens, yummy to my tummy. Absolutely delicious. Juicy and tender. Full of flavor.
Baked sweet potatoe, bless the hands who bakes the sweet potatoes. They are tender, moist, fluffy like a cloud, and that maple butter melts in your mouth.
Coleslaw, not bad. It's not my favorite. It's missing something for me but I can't say what exactly.
Mac N' Cheese, I like it but don't love it. Mac N' Cheese is like potatoe salad, it's a preference and taste (50/50) thing, in my opinion.
My most recent visit, I had the "Big Dog" and collard greens. The "Big Dog" consists of a hotlink, slaw, crispy pickles, & pickled red onions. See pictures. #tasty
Pros
1. Friendly staff always. Haven't had a run-in with an employee who wasn't nice. I have dined in and taken out.
2. Food is consistently good. That's a plus. Several visits later, Holy Cow continues to serve quality, great tasting food.
3. Portion size is generous.
4. Seating inside and out.
Bathrooms are available, but I have not used them to speak to the decor or cleanliness of the bathrooms.
Cons
1. Small parking lot, but I haven't run into a parking problem. Street parking is available as well.
I won't say the prices are unreasonable (not for me), that will depend on you as an individual, for the quality and area, the prices are fair.
Holy Cow is a great addition to Culver City. I'm always full of smiles after a Holy Cow meal. It's one of my "frequent favs" and recommendations to try.
