This cozy kosher gastropub offers a delightful mix of Mediterranean dishes, hearty burgers, and craft brews in a relaxed, communal setting.
"Beverlywood’s newest addition is a kosher gastropub called Osher Bar & Grill. The restaurant opened three weeks ago in the former O’Woks space, and resides in what some refer to as the Kosher Corridor, which spans across Pico from La Cienega to Beverwil Drive. Osher, which means “happiness” in Hebrew, has a casual feel with communal tables, multiple TVs, and bar seating. The bar has 16 craft beers on tap, 32 bottled beers, and cocktails with fresh juices, herbs, and house made garnishes like candied chilis. Remer’s seasonal menu remains steadfast to kosher, but jumps into the expected with egg rolls stuffed with duck confit and pulled veal with purple cabbage, blood orange hot wings without butter, kosher poutine, and chicken ‘parmeshew,’ a spin on chicken parmesan but with a cashew nut ‘cheese.’ Remer’s burger is butchered and ground in-house, with the addition of beef belly ‘bacon,’ and melted garlic aioli as a cheese substitute." - Mona Holmes
