Holy Grill

I rarely leave reviews like this, but I feel like people should be aware. I ordered food here recently and watched one of the employees accidentally drop my egg on the counter while preparing my wrap. She then proceeded to just put it back in like nothing happened. I should have spoken up then, but I was honestly in shock. Later that day, I got incredibly sick. I can’t say with 100% certainty it was from this meal, but it was the only thing I ate and I haven’t felt this ill in a long time. Between that and what I saw during prep, I definitely won’t be returning.

I recently had the London broil baguette sandwich at Holy Grill and it was absolutely delicious! The meat was cooked to perfection and the bread was fresh and crispy. But what really made the sandwich stand out was the flavor from the toppings. I especially loved the red charif, which gave the sandwich a nice kick of spice. If you're planning on trying out Holy Grill, I highly recommend taking the pro tip to heart and going for the green charif if you're not a fan of too much spice. Overall, the food was fantastic and the service was friendly and efficient. I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu.

Food is plentiful and good. I had falafel platter, which was good, although the falafel is much smaller than I'm accustomed to. The salads were good. Unfortunately, the noise level is not comfortable inside, and in order to even hear each other talk, we had to sit outside, which was getting cool

Best kosher restaurant in LA!!!! Order the schnitzel baguette, they put a lot of schnitzel inside and it’s delicious and worth the money! We also got a lot of french fries for just $4

This unassuming restaurant served me the best felafel, pita, and Middle Eastern dips I've ever had. The pita was so fluffy and fresh, the felafel perfectly crispy on the outside, delicious on the inside. Chumus and tehina perfectly balanced. A choice of hot sauces, green (very spicy) and red (just spicy enough). And not expensive! If you have a small appetite, I recommend the side dish of Felafel Snack with the addition of a warm pita. You'll be in a good mood for the rest of the day.

I came here for the first time to try the shawarma. I saw they offered the solika sandwich on fridays so I switched my order. Not gonna lie, it was really really good. Shnitzel with eggplants on challah bread. I was pleasantly surprised as I usually like the valley kosher spots more than the ones in Pico Robertson.

The best shawarma I have ever had!! My experience at Holy Grill restaurant was more then satisfying. The staff was very professional and accommodating. It was my first time so they helped me decide what to order and were very patient with me until I decided to go with the laffa shawarma. They surprised me with the best shawarma I have ever had. It was fresh and hot and tasted delicious. I will definitely be returning for a second round and I recommend anyone that hasn’t been there yet to go because you’re missing out.

Delicious kosher food, fresh and blessed. I'm Muslim and like to eat healthy and blessed food. I have been eating here for past 4-5 years now. Outstanding service. However, when you go there, make sure to have at least 20-30 min to wait or you can place an order over the phone and by the time you get there, your delicious meal will be ready. I usually go to down town location, which is a food truck and ambiance is very kosher and halal.... Let's keep it kosher people.

This is the most accurate shawarma place in the area. I did a tour-de-shwarma at pico Robertson, and this one gave me the closest experience to Israeli shawarma. I loved all the sides and the sauces. I would go again. The price is the only thing holding me back. But it's a kosher restaurant and they're all this expensive. Maybe a couple of dollars less? and I would go again but I've only been once in the last year so far because of the price.

Literally the best restaurant on pico blvd and in the Jewish community. No other words to describe how good this place is!

Great Food, reasonable price, good high quality ingredients...would be nice if they have a decent more reasonable lunch special that included a drink, but kosher is pricey anywhere you go.

Pretty horrible. This is the burger - premade fast food patty, terrible bun, etc. The pictures posted by the owner on Yelp are of a completely different product and this looked so bad, we didn't even eat it. Honestly, it feels like you have to try to make it this bad.

My latest culinary journey took me to the heart of the tight-knit Jewish neighborhood, where everyone's on a first-name basis and my name, regrettably, seemed to be 'Wallet.' As soon as I stepped in, I was hit with a wave of familiarity - not mine, but theirs. The warm buzz of friendly chatter suggested this was less a restaurant, more a daily reunion with latkes. The star of the evening was a $15 cheeseburger, a dish so steeped in mystique and intrigue, I half expected the Kabbalah to be etched in the sesame seeds on the bun. When it arrived, I stared in disbelief at the bovine Mona Lisa before me. Surely, I thought, this is no ordinary burger. At these prices, the cow must have been massaged daily and the cheese flown in from an exclusive goat on the Swiss Alps. But alas, no, it was a regular cheeseburger. It wasn't bad per se, but for the price, I was hoping for a life-altering experience, perhaps an epiphany or at least a side of pickles. Nice, clean and friendly place, but I can't justify paying that much for pretty ordinary meals to go that much Until then, Shalom and Goodbye, dear restaurant.

The owners Adiel and Ella are very nice people they accommodated my son Chanukah Party and they helped out coordinating for the video game bus to be able to park out of the store so the kids could safely go in and out of the store to eat! The employees who helped us were also patient and accommodate different requests we had, their names are Diego , Sasha, Yosef. The food is delicious!!! The experience is a Tel Aviv type of ambience! Everything was great! We had an amazing time! We decidedly recommend the Holy Grill!

We ordered the Shawarma plate and Schnitzel sandwich through Uber eats and I have to say it was the worst meal I've ever eaten. The shawarma smelled like fish and the schnitzel was super dry. The worst part is how expensive this is for what you get.

These guys are still so good! Always great quality, whether ordering online or eating there.

I ordered the shawarma laffa and they delivered the ingredients in a box. Do not trust Holy Grill to get your order right! They do not deserve your money or respect. Order from any other Kosher restaurant, and you will be pleased.

It really hurts me to not write a 5 star review for this place because they absolutely can have that rating. I deliver from this restaurant often and they just keep frustrating me with things. The food is amazing when it's good. The problem is that they are not as consistent and the quality can be amazing to sub par. I'm taking off a star for that reason. The most frustrating part is their lack of following the order + instructions (this is sad to see when they attach a receipt of your order with said instructions to the order). When ordering a plate which normally is the most expensive way of ordering an entree it normally comes with many sides which makes the meal and can ruin it when not provided. Another star taken off for constantly getting the order wrong and being lazy. I will still order from them and will gladly change my review if someone sees this and incorporates change. Again, they do provide amazing food. Just not amazing enough for all the negatives

This is a Covid review. Currently the restaurant is open for take out and delivery. It is located on the corner of Crest and Pico next to Pizza Station. There is an open parking lot in front. It is a kosher meat restaurant. The service was excellent. They were very nice and kind. I got the falafel plate which comes with four sides. I got Moroccan beets, Moroccan carrots, seasoned Israeli salad, and Tahini and Hummus. I thought it was really tasty. I thought the hummus was delicious and just the right consistency and I loved my salads, especially the Moroccan carrot salad. The plate also came with a pita which was really good and tasted homemade. I also got a mango drink there which was yummy. The food was well seasoned with just the perfect amount of spice. I thought the portion size was nice and they were reasonably priced. I would return here and I think it is an awesome take out spot. Next time I would like to try the meat. The shwarma looked really good! Note: Check in on Yelp for a free drink.

We ordered through Uber eats and their food was amazing. My husband was so happy with his burger. He is picky about his burgers and ordered from multiple restaurants but never liked the burgers he ordered elsewhere. We will be ordering again. Thank you so much

I came in here for lunch and enjoyed my experience from the delicious food to the great customer service. It's a cozy little restaurant which doesn't have a lot of seating, but people tend to eat quick and opens up the seats. There is also two tables outside which is perfect if you have a dog. The parking is very limited in front of the buisness as well as on the street. You may have to circle around for openings. The food here had fresh ingredients, was flavorful in every bite and they give you a heavy helping so I was definitely not hungry afterwards. I ordered the Grilled London Broil which is cuts of delicious beef, grilled to perfection. It was juicy and tender and came with 4 sides to go with your plate. Not to mention it also came with a fluffy pita. My friend ordered the falafel wrap. It was delicious, juicy, and perfect with each bite. I checked into Yelp and got a free soda to go with my meal. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and amount of food you get. The customer service was amazing. The cashier was super friendly and the gentleman putting my plate together was helpful and full of smiles. Overall I would highly suggest coming here and trying their fresh and delicious food. The parking might be hectic, but it is totally worth it.

This place is pretty good. I was trying to decide what to eat for lunch today and being I'm always in a rush actually wanted to take my time today so with Pico and Robertson there's so many places to choose from it's very hard I came here and I was very satisfied. The atmosphere is very comfortable it's spread out so you don't get claustrophobic. The food was great the service is great is a very comfortable environment the music playing was great. If you've never been here I definitely recommend this place. You'll be glad you did

I have to say that each of their locations is AMAZING. The food truck in downtown is next level for a food truck. The food options you can't even find at big kosher restaurants on pico. The pico location also is very affordable compared to others, the food flavor is delicious, and they are so generous. Highly recommend!!!

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. The food is great. The service amazing. The care each cook gives in preparing your order is amazing. I have never seen it anywhere else. Shawarma WOW! I have a friend who is ridiculous for not coming here. I can't believe I listened to him and didn't come here more often just bc he didn't like this place. I have been here 4 times in past week! Ok now I am wondering if maybe there is crack in the food. Would explain the empty ceramic pans on the glass shelve!?! Anyway, holy grill keep it up!!! One suggestion, get spicier jalapeños!

I have been here 3x . I live far but have a project close by and this place is addicting! Today planning to go again. I always get the schnitzel plate . Love the salads . I always order one extra order of snitzel ( about $8)

The shwarma pita was absolutely so amazing, I w"enjoyed every bite of it. My partner ordered the Sabich and it wasnt great. It was very expensive and I found it hard to understand the workers but everything besides that was great.

I'm a bit late to the game on my review, but awhile back I was working in Los Angeles for about six months, and being the shawarma snob I am, happened upon the holy grill. While I have family members who keep Kosher I do not myself, that said after my first trip here I became a regular (and am still going through withdrawal!). Some highlights: -The shawarma itself is seasoned to perfection, grilled perfectly, and the laffa is out of this world. In addition to the freshness and flavor in every bite, the textural contrast adds a whole new dimension. -The salads always taste fresh and there are so many different combos you can do. -Service is efficient, friendly, and easy. While there are so many wonderful things on the menu, I have to confess that all I could ever order was the shawarma and probably missed out on many other items. Eat here with caution, because you too could become addicted!

Hectic atmosphere. Quiick service, more than sufficient portion. Pricey takeout. Pleasant obliging staff. Wouls try again on off peak hours.

This used to be a neighborhood go-to, but now it's on my family's never-again list. Or, more accurately, list of places to go when we're in the mood for some food poisoning. Strike 1: Went in to pick up a couple of things to bring to a work picnic. The (unmasked, BTW) lady at the register acted like my request for a large container of hummus to-go was the most insane thing she'd ever heard. I managed to leave with the hummus, which had an off-smell that I confirmed with several co-workers. I'd had their hummus many times and generally am clear on what hummus is supposed to smell like, this wasn't it. I trashed it rather than risk poisoning my colleagues. Strike 2: Maybe should have learned my lesson from Strike 1, but like I said I've loved this place in the past and really wanted to believe I was wrong about the hummus. Went ahead and ordered several dinner items that everyone in my house shared. We all spent a magical night puking and cursing the Holy Grill. See ya never!

Definitely an underrated restaurant in the heart of Pico-Robertson. Love getting food from Holy Grill. They are extremely generous with their portions of the most delicious meals ever. I can order two entrees and that would be more than enough for my family of four. They are quick and easy to order from. Order over the phone and pickup within 15 minutes. Love getting food here and they just renovated their restaurant. The interior looks amazing. Definitely recommend!

Ordered via Uber Eats literally the WORST food EVER. Maybe that's why they're having promotions on Uber eats but there's no point of giving promotion if you're going to be serving trash!!! what's up with a good reviews? They don't care about instructions or anything. The order was wrong and the food tasted nasty and had a weird smell. Do NOT order from here.

Food was good, service was terrible, the COVID precautions non-existent. 20-minute wait in line, despite only one person in front of me. Ordered a simple hummus and falafel. Told to wait five minutes; took 25. By the time it got to my table, it was cold. Still, the food was solid. Grossly overpriced, though. No one in this place wears a mask. Not the cashier, not the kitchen staff, and certainly not the customers. Ask them to give you some space and you'll get an attitude. Finally, this place is teeming with the "Are you Jewish?" guys who will pester you while eat. I was interrupted twice by two of these idiots who really couldn't take a hint. If you're secular (or God forbid, not Jewish), you're more or less persona non grata. The most unpleasant dining experience I've had in years.

Wow. That was a wonderful dinner experience. We were about 10 people (adults and kids). GREAT food, amazing salads, generous portions, awesome music, fun atmosphere. It may have been my first visit but not the last! Pargiyot, lamb burger, burger, falafel, etc. protein was great, salads were outstanding- you have got to try it.

Got delivery. Holy falafels and holy kebobs. Wasn't too crazy about the shawarma...maybe I'm more of a tarna type of gal? Definitely kinda kicking myself for not trying the chicken pargiut, but I guess that's for next time. But these falafels, though. A bit grainier than others, but fluffy and so flavorful like they should be. The kebabs were shaped like little patties as opposed to the usual kofta, but DAYUM! YUMMY! Oh yeah, and their pita. I've never seen a pita so thick and hearty but so pillowy. In my life. And it pockets! Amazing!! Wasn't crazy about the Baba. Not smoky or flavorful enough. No biggie. Had some specific requests for my order, and called to confirm. Yoses answered the call, was super friendly and accommodating, and went above and beyond to make sure I got my order correctly. Excellent customer service.

Love the food! The chicken shawarma was good and the London broil was amazing! Grilled perfectly! The portion was very generous too. Each plate also came with 4 sides. We tried the rice, fries, salad, humus and cabbage. Everything was so good. The fries were one of the best! They also gave big bread for each plate. The price might look pricey but considering the portion that you can literally eat twice, it's not expensive at all!

I've been standing inside the store for 20 minutes and what I saw made me come here to write this review. Crew was hard working trynna make the stuff ready but this lady Cashier was just looking at everyone like they were nothing, rolling eyes out when someone would make a request for her and faking a smile after. Construction worker came in to order and he just left cause of her ugly superiority attitude, never coming back here and for the owners, you guys should watch the cameras and see how this lady handles work. I would love to write a review about your food but when the environment isn't welcoming, the rest doesn't make sense.

We had just gone to a bakery down the street and decided to just stop at the Holy Grill based on a Yelp review because it was right down the street. I'm glad we gave it a try because it was delicious! Just before they put your meal together they ask what you want in it, which makes it your own! So if you want hummus you can get hummus or not same with the other veggies and sauces. The people in the restaurant were very nice.

Just ordered delivery from this place. Got the chicken shawarma plate and it looked like prison food. The quality of the chicken shawarma was probably the worst I've ever had. No clue how this place has good reviews. If McDonald's randomly decided to do shawarma it would probably be better than this place. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

I am in eggplant lover and I'm so happy they have sliced eggplant chips! Deep fried & crunchy but not too oily. The marinated Pargiut chicken pieces were delicious. If you are a fan of luscious, thick soft pita bread, you'll be in heaven! I got my food to go and the portions were abundant. The young man was very helpful in explaining allthe side dishes. They have a good selection of side dishes for Shabbat take-out also.

Food is excellent. Delivery,however is only to the front door of the apartment building. Poor communication. I don't have anything to say about the ambiance,as when I ate lunch there it was Israeli stark. Just neighborhood lunch restaurant style. D

I ordered from Holy Grill's website. My order included onion rings. I discovered the onion rings were missing when I got home. Called the restaurant. Waited 7 minutes on hold. Spoke to Asher. He told me that they don't have onion rings. You'd think someone could have let me know when I picked up my food! Or better yet, maybe remove the item from their online menu. Asher told me he couldn't refund my money and that I had to call ChowNow. Seems kind of crazy to me since I ordered from Holy Grill's website and they were the ones who messed up. Another 12 minutes wasted on hold and talking to ChowNow. Let's see if I get my refund. As far as the food went, I'd rate it at 1.5 stars at best. Edible, but not much more than that. That is except for the the the London Broil which clearly falls in the negative star territory and was really not edible. Contrary to the advertised "Cut, seasoned and grilled to perfection," it was tough and tasteless. My recommendation is to pass on The Holy Grill and go for Dr Sandwich or Haifa - both nearby with similar menus and much, much easier parking. BTW, I think this is my first Yelp review. I'm generally pretty low key. Someone's really got to tick me off before I spend the time to write a negative review.

The Holy Grill is a hip fast casual Israeli/Moroccan restaurant serving all the essential proteins: shawarma, falafel, sabich, schnitzel... as well as serving hamburgers, hotdogs, and ribeye steak!! I got a falafel plate (which comes with 4 biiiiig sides) for a solid $10.81 w/ tax and 10% off Check In. Quick Tips: -There is parking! Minimal, but parking! Neighborhood parking recommended. -A little congested inside. A large 6top half-booth, three 2tops, one 4top, and 8 bar seats. -Pay first and they make it Chipotle-style -Check in on FB, IG, or Yelp for 10% off -Check in on YELP for a free drink! Thank you for upholding this even though I didn't use it. -They have a food truck! -Schug (green) and Harissa are delicious and very spicy. On a scale of 1-Howlin'(10) Schug is 4/10 and Harissa is a great burn at 7/10. Taste 4.5/5 So many salads to choose from, but with my falafel plate I got the Moroccan beets, red cabbage, pickled onions, and hummus! Falafel was herby, fresh, and crisp. More grainy than most falafel I've had, but delicious. Everything was bright with flavor. Really loved the beets. The red cabbage was a little too creamy. Pita was nice and thick ;) and the hummus was smoooooth. I should have asked for some tahina. Price 5/5 Wow. 7 falafels, 4 large salads, $11. Service 3.5/5 The teen boy did his best. Food took quite a while, silverware was either non-existent and/or plastic depending on the time of day, but the food was very well worth it.

Terrible restaurant! Some kids are running this business and they don't know how to do the job. They said my order will be ready in 5 minutes and it took 30 minutes!!! Also you should expect some missing items from your order...
