"Homage, a microbrewery in the middle of industrial Chinatown, is made for people who love beer but also maybe want to dance a little. There’s a pleasant patio out front where you might spot a few toddlers with their tattooed parents. But the real scene is inside the garage, which has a long bar counter, a spinning disco ball, and a DJ spinning vinyl records behind a monochromatic booth. Most people come here to sip housemade IPAs and snack on things like chicken wings and birria brisket tacos during the afternoon, but it’s worth noting that on weekend nights, the dance floor is packed past midnight." - brant cox
"Though typically a chill hangout on most days, Homage Brewing can get busy and buzzy on Dodgers game day. It’s an intimate spot on the north end of Chinatown where excellent music plays on the PA while staff pours lagers or ales, saisons, or something from a superb wine list. On weekends, DJs will pop up in the main room and the interior of the brewery transoforms into a dance floor under the disco ball overhead." - Matthew Kang

"Homage Brewing might just be the best Southern California brewery you’ve never heard of - it’s a tiny spot in Pomona serving excellent, innovative saisons, barrel-aged sours, and IPAs. They have a few tables, and somewhat random hours, so be sure to check their Instagram before you go." - brett keating
"If you haven’t heard of Homage yet, that won’t be the case for long. This Pomona-based spot has one of the most-interesting and well-brewed beer lists anywhere. Our favorites so far are The Beach Samba, a sour IPA with pineapple and coconut, the Starburst Peel (a hazy IPA so sweet we’d have it for dessert), and the Sundialing, a barrel-aged saison with apple juice and grape must. They don’t usually can beers, but during quarantine, they’ve got a ton of new releases each week - check their Instagram for updates, and stock up on whatever looks good. They also have a space on the way in Chinatown, so it won’t be long before they’re much closer to LA proper." - brett keating
