Just happened to catch that one a couple of days ago.it was super delicious! The owner, Patty, was very attentive and bakes everything fresh! The chicken pot pies were flakey and moist. The beef empanadas were flakey, soft super fresh and delicious! Can't say enough about it. She bakes all kinds of pies. The slice of cheese cake, pound cake,and chocolate chip cookies are most yummy! Southern freshness. It's a very small clean and welcoming little shop. It is in an industrial area. Do not let the place fool you! I truly recommend it to everyone! I bought several chicken pot pies, Jamaican meat patties and a key lime pie. All were EXCELLENT!! I highly recommend this cafe/bakery. Anything you get will be awesome and delicious. My service was fast and very personable. This place is a little challenging to find but you will be rewarded with excellent service and yummy pies.

The sweetest person waiting on us and made us feel special. The cakes were amazing. We got there too late for a cherry pie or turnover!!! We just love this place. We will be back the next time we are in town. Blessings to all.

Had a rare treat of many tasty savory pies. I had the Chicken Curry pie and my friend had the Chicken Leak pie would highly recommend either of them. The crusts on the pies were flaky and delicious you can tell butter was used not lard. Even though it is a bit of a drive will definitely go again

Kinda cool that it’s tucked away in a business/industrial area…like a hidden gem. Chicken pot pie was gooood. Chicken chunks, veggies, buttery crust and it wasn’t soupy or salty…just done right! The atmosphere wasn’t fancy or anything, but that’s totally okay with me since it’s all about the delicious menu. The lady that served us was very sweet and courteous. We’ll be back for sure!!

Zero nuance to the apple pie filling. Very very sweet with so much jelly filling, almost more than apple. Basically tasted like cheap canned filling. No spice, flavor, or anything delicate about it. Wife said possible the worst apple filling she has tried, can’t recommend.

This is the BEST hidden gem for pies. This review is overdue because the last time I had their pies was 2 years ago and I still think about them. I swear they better stay in business forever or I will be sad and feel like life will never be the same. I love Home Pie Bakery.

Got to love this place! The owner uses the best ingredients and puts love into everything she makes. Her pot pie is to die for and the empanadas taste like your mom made them.

Definitely a hidden gem. The cashier that helped me was super nice, I believe she was the owner. I got a chicken pot pie and beef empanada, which were both delicious. I highly recommend this place.

From what I saw through the opening, the kitchen was super clean and spotless. More than you can say for quite a few other private and mainstream restaurants. I popped in and tried the chicken curry pot pie, and it was delicious. My taste buds would have liked a little more spice/butter curry. That was a wow moment, I never thought about a curry pot pie until I saw it here. The crust was perfect buttery, crispy and delicious.

Incredible pies!! We bought beef empanadas, a chicken and vegetable pot pie, and a chicken and mushroom pie. The dough is flaky and buttery and the filling is seasoned exceptionally well. Don't skip the hot sauce!! They serve a small amount but the sauce packs heat. Heads up, they run out quick so try and go earlier. A new favorite spot!

This is a 4-star chicken pot pie served in a restaurant with sweltering heat inside. Crazy that it was about 105 degrees in there and I could not wait to dive back into my car and eat.... Ahhh.... The salad days of Covid where dashboard dining was king! Pretty good pie. $11.58 (including tax) for a smallish pie but it was tasty. Needed the accompanying hot sauce but it was legit. I'll be back this winter.

The pot pies are delicious and I recommend reserving all your pies before coming in. I did not get the chance at the beef Wellington but I already know it will be delicious. I look forward to trying it in the future. She is a French cook and has the best service and extremely friendly and even gave me a free cookie.

**April 2024: Friday Afternoon Visit** This small no frills hole in the wall restaurant prepares some really tasty pot pies! My friend and I came later in the afternoon so unfortunately some of the pot pie offerings were out. However, I really enjoyed the leek chicken pot pie as it was super creamy. The chicken was moist and the pie crust had a nice flakiness to it. I would love to come back and try more!

Called a couple days prior to pick date for a pumpkin pie and veggie pot pie. All the employee said was perfect, there was no mention of pricing or sizes as there is neither on menu, although I had a rough idea based on the online menus. Most of the other pot pies were around $10-$15 so I figured the veggie one would be too. Upon pickup, they said they only made a large one and it was $60. I would 100% preferred a small as it's for 2 people. When asked about the sizing and prices, they said it's my job to ask next time because it doesn't show on the menu. They gave me a small discount but the overall cost was 3 times more than I was initially expecting. Pies were good but service l/experience was definitely sub par.

Delicious! I've been meaning to come by for the past year, but they're only open on the weekdays (which makes sense, as they're located in a business park). Finally had a chance to drop by in the past week, and was very pleased! Walking in, there are fridges with drinks to the side, and baked goods and menus at the counter top. I think it was only one person working at the time (possibly the owner?), but she was great at multi-tasking and was able to get food out very quickly. I ended up going for a beef sandwich and chicken and mushroom pie to try out. She actually baked the chicken and mushroom pie in front of me, so it was deliciously warm and toasty when I took it home for the hubby and I to try. The beef sandwich was good; lovely beef juices and cooked well. I also appreciated that the bun was not traumatic to the roof of my mouth; nice and soft! But, the star of the show was definitely the chicken and mushroom. Golden, flaky crust. Juicy chicken with plentiful doses of it throughout the pie. Mushrooms as savory and lovely as it could be! Will absolutely be back; I want to try more of their menu! Just need to figure out when I can make it on a weekday. Also, prices are reasonable! Not only was service great, but it was very nice to see that EVERY customer came in and was very polite and kind. Didn't have any crazy people come in with any elitist attitudes; everyone seemed to be genuinely nice. And it also seemed that every customer that I saw was a regular, as they knew what they wanted to order, or the steps to get what they're hankering to eat. Warmed my heart to see a small business get local support. :) Tip: get the spicy/hot sauce! So great with both the sandwich and pie!

My coworkers and I stopped here right after a work meeting. I got a Steak Sandwich, a Chicken and Vegetable Pot pie as well as a cheesecake. The owner is the only one there so if you're ordering anything outside of the pies, I'd say call it in because she's the only one working ! She is such a lovely soul and super sweet! She gave us free cookies for our wait and they were delicious. The steak sandwich was soooo bomb. It was very simple but it was perfect. Considering i had it at work it still was very good for that 10 minute drive i made. Honestly all my workers and i were heavily surprised at how good it was. We will definitely be coming back and supporting! Honestly a gem!

I've been to this business previously, but they were sold out of their pies. I finally made it around 2:00 PM ish and was able to find a good selection of pies! I got the Beef Empanada and it was absolutely delicious! As I write this, my mouth is watering because it was so good. I also had a chicken and mushroom pot pie which was tasty. Next time I return I'm going to buy two beef empanadas! The woman who owns and operates the shop is a very very nice woman. I highly recommend going here for lunch or picking up for dinner. They have many other types of pies too. This place is Gary Orange tree approved!

Hidden gem to say the least and a MUST try! The Lady (I wished I asked her name but my receipt tells me it was Patty Q.) who helped/took my order was the sweetest woman-kind hearted! Walked in with 30min to spare to closing time...and usually at that point workers are tired and ready to close shop-not this Lady! Great big smile on her face-I wanted to hug her because I felt like her vibe/ora was walking into my parent's home! I ordered a BLT, peach pie and I was gawking at the pecan bar up on shelf, she noticed and opened it up giving me half to enjoy while I waited for my order to be ready. Pecan bar was absolutely delicious! BLT WAS DELICIOUSLY PERFECT....that roll it was made with - was mouth watering!! Patty Q.-Thank you!! Can't wait to get my peach pie home and eat with ice cream!!

My friend recommend this place. I passed it twice. it's a hidden gem. I got there just in time closing time. I order a chicken pot pie and a peach pie. I was paying when I noticed a chocolate cake with frosting. The owner said it was a cake with German chocolate frosting I was sold.I mentioned to her that this was my first time here, and she gave me a free cookie very nice lady. I got home and started with chicken pot pie. The crust was so flaky , and the vegetables and chicken were so delicious. All that was on point. The peach pie was so delicious. The crust was also flaky, and it had a great taste. Later that night, I tasted the chocolate cake it was moist, and the frosting was out of this world. I will be going there soon and have been recommending it to my family and friends.

Apparently your pies are the bomb and my silly self got a sandwich...but the BLT needs a makeover. No mayo, no toasted bread, chicken taste like tyson...the lettuce and tomato were fresh and the bun was soft I mean like fresh bakery soft so thats a big plus but other than that the sandwich was pretty sad and for $12? No chips no drink...i dont know about that... wont be back. Oh and whats up with the sip of hot sauce? I mean they give you a literal drop lol...

There is nothing like starting a new business and going to a new location only to find out there's nothing to eat around that area. Then that Priceless moment where you find a restaurant like this. Talk about delicious flaky croissant type texture I highly recommend thier meat and sausage hand pies... Wow by far the best thing I have ate so far I can't wait to try their shepherd's pie next week Highly recommend

Oh my. Beef empanadas are just WOW! I Bought one of every pot pie and they DO NOT DISAPPOINT. The homemade flavors, the flakiness, the umami of it all. Wow just wow!

Delicious! Delicious! Delicious! Highly recommend this spot. Go early or they will run out. You know right away when you walk in that you are in for a treat by the smell. Homemade goodness, made by the kindest lady. Try the beef bourguignon hand pie it is stellar.

My overall experience here was terrific. The owner was extremely kind and freshly made my order when I called ahead. The bakery is a hidden gem in an industrial area with a relatively small interior: an easily overlooked place but a must-try spot. ~Order~ Cottage Pie: A classic dish with a beautiful flavor. The cottage pie is FILLED with meat, and root veggies, topped with mashed potatoes. For the price, the portion is substantial. I was fresh from activity, so I ate two like a crazy person. Homemade Cookie: You can't go wrong with a homemade cookie, so I don't even think a description is necessary. It was delicious.

Some of the best pot pies I have ever tasted. The food and baked goods are always fresh and delicious, and the service is always friendly and helpful.

Just updating my review. Still heaven, great service, excellent food, the owner is an angel, and she'll make you feel like family. Highly recommend!

I'm so thankful I found this gem via Yelp (of course). And when I say it's the best chicken pot pie I have ever had - It's The BEST chicken pot pie I have ever had!!! Pictures does nothing when you bite in these homemade crusts. The owner was soooo helpful and appreciate all her recommendations. I'm definitely coming back more often now as we all loved it!

The veggie pot pie was HEAVENLY!!! After a 20 minute drive home it was still warm and so soft and moist and delicious! It's the perfect portion for a meal and I WILL BE BACK

OMG! The food is so tasty. I came in for a piece of fruit (apple) pie, but the savory chicken and vegetables pie look so delicious. I had to have it. All the food here is made from scratch. Both pies were Amazing! The owner is a sweet & friendly lady from Nigeria. Her and her daughter work the place. It is a small place, but very clean. It's a must try. So treat yourself!

Small cafe but mighty in flavor! I had their chicken curry pie and it was amazing. I can't wait to go back to try the rest of their menu. Service was great the cashier was attentive and helpful. There's not so much seating but it's enough for this establishment. I love the home feel of this place and their food is a must-try.

No, very limited menu, when I ordered one of the sandwich they were out of! The person taking the order was friendly, not her fault they were out of my choice of sandwich meat. Ambiance was fair!

230p on a June Tuesday I stopped in and got the Super Beef sandwich. Soooo good! If you're looking for an inexpensive, freshly made, lunch near Ontario Airport, this is the spot. Plus, the lady here, I think the owner? She's a total sweetheart! Her kind way of helping people makes them feel a very family welcome, all smiles. It's in an office park with plenty of parking, some of it shaded, about half a mile from the 60 freeway.

My husband and I discovered this place when we moved in ontario and its amazing! Its a hidden gem! The owner, the food, the service is excellent! They are soo down to earth, very humble and kind. The food is amazing because it was made with love. My husband and I guarantee you that this is the most delicious pot pie ever. This is the taste of homemade fresh pie. Try it yourself and you will never go back to any other pot pie or store bought ones. They also make cakes! Our favorite is chicken and vegetables.

Limited hours and in an industrial center. Not open on the weekends. I love me a good crust. When you open the door you are hit with the smell of butter, lots of butter, you know the smell. The sweet proprietor makes all the pies by hand every morning. I had the chicken and mushroom, the chicken curry and the beef pie. All delicious. Not soupy at all, so it's mostly meat and that amazing crust. I got a free cookie that was also drenched in a burnt butter flavor, pure heaven.

I ordered an all beef sandwich. The sandwich was spectacularly good with a lot of flavor. I asked for something spicy and the lady gave some Habanero sauce that made the sandwich 10 times better. Highly recommended!

I found this place from Yelp. The owner was very personable. I ordered the chicken curry, chicken leek pot pie 3 beef patties and meatball sandwich. My grandson loved the meatball sandwich. However the chicken in the pot pies was too chewy and dry. The flavor was lacking in the pot pies and the meat pies. Very bland. The crust was amazing but it was not backed through on my pot pies. I might return to try a sweet pie. Overall I was not pleased. My next visit will determine if I recommend this place.

Patty is an absolute angel. I truly didn't think places like this existed anymore where the people are so kind and generous to new customers. I really can't say enough about my experience. Called on Valentine's Day to see if I could possibly buy a couple chicken pot pies to take and bake at home. I have two small kids under 3, and wanted to surprise my husband with his favorite, but knew that with two little ones, getting there and timing everything would be tricky. Patty said that she would let me take my pies home because it's Valentine's Day, which she really didn't need to do. I knew I was asking for something they might not do, so if it didn't work, I would have figured out something else. I checked the hours on here and didn't even really think that maybe they would have holiday hours, so I got there before they were open and before the lights were on. Having a kiddo in tow, I realized my mistake, and thought "okay, I'll have to find another time to come back." No big deal, I know I'm a bit frazzled sometimes. I called the store again just to double check the hours, and Patty answered again. She asked if I was here, and told me to come in. She said she would help me even though they weren't open yet! Once we got inside and got our items (Chicken and Veggie Pot Pie, Chicken and Leek Pot Pie, Red Velvet Cake), I was telling my son how thankful I was that Patty was so generous to help us even though they weren't open yet. She came back to the register with our food, and my son says to her "Thank you so much, Miss Patty!". She then goes and returns with a cookie for him. Who is this woman? Why aren't there more Pattys in the world? Everything we got was silly good. The Chicken and Veggie Pot Pie was a little on the sweet and savory side, and such a comfort food. My favorite was the Chicken and Leek Pot Pie. I imagined easily having to pay way more at a fancy restaurant for that quality of a dish. The red velvet cake had a tart but sweet and fresh cream cheese frosting. Even my son's cookie (which I ate half of ) was incredible. The edges were slightly crunchy like the edge of a brownie, but the inside was soft with rich chocolate chips. My only regret is not knowing about this place sooner. Thank you, Miss Patty! You made our week!

Awesome pies and great customer service! We went over late the day before Thanksgiving without calling ahead. They had two delicious pies available to sell to us and provided us extra whipped cream for the pumpkin pie!

I was looking for "Sandwiches near me" and this little gem popped up. It's in the Airport Commerce buildings, just an unassuming commercial business center. These are usually the best spots. She's only open weekdays until 4pm and sells out rather quickly, love when I hear that!!! Patty is the owner and is so friendly, be sure to introduce yourself, she likes to know her customers, which is so rare nowadays. I had the $8.99 Chicken Pot Pie w/ Vegetables and everything is super fresh and high quality. The chicken breast is of high quality and delicious. The flaky pastry is so buttery and perfectly cooked and then the price is great too! This would be around $13 anywhere else and wouldn't even compare in taste. I ordered a Carrot Cake and a Chocolate Cake to eat later tonight with my wife, I will report back once I have completed this mission. This will be my new favorite spot for lunch

OMG! The most wonderful empanadas & pot pies. This is the best place for lunch. There are amazing desserts, too. Order pies for special events and the rest of your family will love you forever!! You'll be the favorite party guest of all time.

I was down the street at Kaiser and needed something to eat that would make me feel better. Nothing like a warm chicken pot pie to fill the stomach and the heart. It was loaded with chicken, loaded with mushroom, a delicious crust, flaky on the outside and soft on the inside. Very nice people and it's always a good sign when there is returning customers. The owner is very nice, kind and courteous. I will be returning whenever I'm in town. I would of posted a picture but there was nothing left to take a picture of.

I am so glad the Hubby and I took a chance and drove down to Ontario to try this place. I love a good cornish pasty or meat hand pie, but that seems to be one one thing you can't find in RC. We ordered a couple of beef hand pies, a chicken and mushroom pie, a chicken club sandwhich, and a slice of red velvet cake for dessert. Everything was delicious. It's been raining for days, and the hot meal really hit the spot. It was total comfort food. (Sorry, no pics. We tucked in as soon as we sat down. LOL.) The staff was very nice and made you feel at home right away. There are so many items on the menu I want to try. I will definitely be going back a lot in the future. :)

This little hole in the wall jamican, English African owners have a great style for their home made Pies. You have to call in advance for veggie pie. Owners are very humble and nice. If you are into pot pies and sweet pies come by you will love this place. Buen Probecho!

This restaurant is one hidden gem. I was looking for a place that serves pies since Marie calendars near us closed. I yelped and found this bakery. I will have to say that this place is amazingly delicious. We ordered empanadas and apple pie. We couldn't stop eating it and knew we had to order other things on the menu. The food here is made to order so make certain you call first and make your order and the owner will make it fresh for you. The owner was very thankful for our business and she also called me personally to ask how she liked the food she had sold us. She is very friendly and professional. You can tell that she makes her food with her heat heart and wants it to be perfect. Overall I recommend this bakery and will keep coming her for my bakery needs. You won't regret coming here as well.

HOLY CRAP, these are the BEST savory pies we've ever had!!! Definitely give this place a go. They also have sweet whole pies and brownies and other confections. Love it, the 45 minute drive was soooo worth

This place is bomb! I came here with some co-workers after a meeting that was close by. You wouldnt know there was a quaint cafe in this business lot, but my co-workers led me to it and it definitely did not dissapoint! Patty was so sweet and greeted us all and remembered my co-workers that frequented this place. I ordered the chicken vegetable pie and had to try the cookies everyone was raving about. Oh my goodness the pie was a perfect balance of flakiness and warm center filling with a hearty amount of chicken and veggies. The cookie resembled a bit of a muffin top and was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft in the middle. Patty was out of cookies when we arrived but she made a fresh batch just for us. This place has a very fitting name because Patty makes you feel like you are just at home. This will be my spot whenever I come down for meetings in Ontario now!

I recently moved work locations and so happen to be placed a block away from this spot. It's tucked away in a warehouse hole in the wall spot and ran by Patt who is a sweetheart. The food was amazing well seasoned and baked to perfection, have tired only the pot pies but they have so much to offer that im sure I will be back for.

Fabulous pies! The perfect comfort food. Loved the chicken and mushroom and chicken and leek pies! Chocolate cookies are also a must. Friendly service and delicious food.

Service and food were no less than great. I got the beef bourguignon individual pot pie and the filling and pastry were delicious. Also got a some greens to go with it and the dressing used was yummy.

Great Mom and Pop stop! The owner and her right hands are ALWAYS so nice . I don't know how I stumbled upon this place but I'm glad I did! My family and I have a real love affair with chicken pot pies and seeing that she has a small variety of pies, I just had to pay a visit. The best thing to do is to either come right at opening or call the day before and place an order so you can get exactly what you want. We've had the chicken and veggies(obviously,) chicken and leek, steak and ale and a meat pie. We always always allllllllways get her desserts, tres leches, carrot cake, red velvet, fruit handpies, chocolate chip cookies and strawberry cake. EVERYTHING is homemade and fresh! We honestly have no complaints with all that we've tried. We always pick up mashed potatoes and chicken gravy at pollys to go with our savory pies and mix it in. Perfect meal! On a cheat day, I'm totally going to try her chicken curry pie and hopefully Beef Wellington. I come by almost every time I'm in the I.E. Please support this lovely Black owned small business :)

I went here after an interview from a nearby business and the smell from this place was amazing. I bought a cheesecake, a banana-creme pie and a chicken pot pie. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS! Going to be honest, the prices are bit high for the potion size but I don't mind because everything was superb. The customer service was amazing. The cashier is also the owner of the business and makes everything herself! She's such a sweet woman and very kind I'll definitely be returning for some more desserts and I've already been spreading the word about this place.

I haven't been to see Patty and eat her delicious food in one year.I got her apple pie. Honestly, it was the most delicious apple pie I ever had. Sorry I forgot to get a picture. I also got several of her meat patties/meat pies because I was craving it for the last year. Since she is closed on the weekends and I was only working weekends, I couldn't get my meat pie fix. If you still are traveling on an afternoon flight at the ONTARIO AIRPORT. Call patty and have her make you some meat pies (pictured). They travel very well, don't need a knife of fork to eat it. Just your hand. Grab a fruit turnover or pastry for dessert that she makes. it will be the best meal you ever had on the airplane EVER! YOU CAN THANK ME LATER!
