I ordered 2 pizzas . One by accident. I had no idea it went through, because the receipt went to the junk box. Not only did no one pick up the phone to allow me to cancel, but one of the pizzas was just left in the lobby, with no phone call, no attempt to find me. Specific instructions were left with the order where to deliver the pizza, but the driver didn’t even bother. I have a unit separate from the building, so long after emailing the company to complain, a neighbor told me my pizza was in the lobby. So I found it, 19 hours later.🙄 Props to the other drive for delivering my pizza exactly as promised.

They have delicious pizza at the Home Run Inn Pizza here! I called the order in to speed up the process but there is an app you can use to place orders that will give you discounts. The cashier gave me excellent service with a smile. The food was freshly made to perfection! This Home Run Inn Pizza location has the touchscreen fountain drink machine that has a multitude of flavors to choose from. The seating was cool and clean, perfect for reflexing as you enjoy each bite of pizza. The pricing is higher that franchises like Domino’s but so is the quality of food. I was in Chicago at the beginning of December and ordered a pizza through Uber Eats for dinner it was a personal size pizza with cheese, sausage, pepperoni, multicolored peppers, and onions and I was soooooo disappointed. The pizza came in a decent amount of time but the pizza was soggy and the peppers were super soggy and slippery to the point I had to pull them off in order to eat the rest of the pizza and because the crust was so soggy I really couldn't eat it. I was sooo disappointed as I normally get their frozen pizzas at home and they taste really good so I was expecting it to be superb when ordering from the actual pizzeria but it was the total opposite. Would not return

17 dollars for 10 wing dings is absolutely ridiculous. Also you have to order once you walk in the door. Everything here is self service although plenty of employees walking and sitting around doing nothing. I spent about 70 dollars and had to serve my self. No real plates or silverware. Avoid this location if you can not worth it.

The tavern style pizza was great, the cookies were warm, soft, and so tasty, and the fries were battered thick and crispy even after delivery. Great great food.

Giving me an old cold pizza when I ordered through Door Dash. Unprofessional and poor service. Wings nasty. Ranch missing. Celery I paid for missing. Hungry and disgusted. The box says someone's name but it isn't mine.

On the wall, you will see a photo of an old (the original?) Home Run Inn location bearing the slogan "You've tried the rest... Now try the best". That slogan is as true today as it was all those years ago.

Ordered pizza one Friday night to dodge cooking and found this place. Decided to give it a try because I had one of their frozen pizza options and the consistency was decent. Online ordering was user friendly. There are other than pork options available which is a plus. The per toppings charge can be a bit pricey for this place. I ordered for pickup to check the place out. Inside was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pizza was ready within 30 mins. The pizza was decent for a quick dinner option. The dough had a frozen pizza taste that I wasn't expecting. It would be a good backup meal but not a top choice of pizza. Other than the frozen pizza taste all was well.

Home Run Inn has some of the best in the city! I went here as a treat for myself for my birthday a while ago and as you can see the food looks delicious and it tasted even better. I haven't had much time to go back, but I want to everyday! The workers were also very nice. It was very chill because we were the only people in there at the time. They have tables inside to eat at, and I believe there's also patio seating. Overall, I loved it and have been dying to go back

I've been in Chicago for a long time, but never actually been at a Home Run Inn Pizza. I've had their frozen pizza regularly, but it was time to finally cross this off my list. This location is convenient if you're in the Bronzeville area, and there's some limited seating if you want to dine in. It has a clean interior and has a Chicago/Home Run Inn history theme to it. Orders are taken at the front register regardless of whether you dine in or take out, and take the normal amount of time for a regular pizza. I had the sweet caliente pizza, which had jalapeño, pepperoni, and pineapple. Plenty of pepp, but not as much pineapple. Overall, a fine place, if you're jonesing for thin crust and wanting to check off your Chicago bingo card.

I absolutely love Home Run Inn pizza and the crust options are delectable. I also like the wings although they may be frozen. Service is always good but bring your big wallet because it's not cheap!

It's an online order and it was excellent. I've loved Home Run inn Pizza for over 30 years. I'm celebrating the multiple locations and this store nails it. I ordered my favorite beef, spinach and cheese pizza. It was excellent

Great spot for great tasting pizzza. You can order ahead online. It's counter service and they have a good amount of seating in a nice atmosphere.

Came here for pizza and we got a personal size thin crust and it was tasty! My date had a birthday and got a free personal pizza. It was super nice of them to do that. Definitelly tasty food and good service. Also, the seating is great and parking is close by and free.

I ordered here for delivery yesterday. We ordered the 16 inch sausage pizza and also 18 boneless wings with a Chicago mild sauce on the side. The wings were alright, nothing to go crazy over, but I did like the Chicago mild sauce a lot. The chicken pieces were a good size. The sausage pizza was very good. The crust had that beer buttery taste like the frozen pizza does. The toppings were generous and we really enjoyed the pizza. My only complaint is a 16 inch one topping pizza is about $26. And to be honest does not taste much different than the frozen pizza. So I would rather get about four frozen home run inn pizzas for the same price.

Have the best food ever......... You will always get better results from the recipe you made in your recipe but it doesn't taste as great if oooooooopoooo

I placed an order through uber eats. A large pizza full pepperoni and one side sausage and also 10 wings (hot) . It was a special they had on the app. I received my pizza but it was only half pepperoni (not full) and half sausage. I received no wings at all!! So basically I paid $50 for a pizza!!??? Insane!!! This is like the 3rd time my order has been wrong. This food is not cheap. I could have ordered from another pizza place, my order would have been right and i would have saved money!! I definitely won't be ordering again!!!!

What the hell happened to this location?? It use to be dine in with TV's, a bar, potential taps for I guess up coming alcohol. I guess since the George Floyd riots, when the location got broken into. They decided to change it from a sports bar interior. A wall has been put up in place where dine in tables use to be. It's not very minimal dine in space. Since the location was rioted African Americans no longer deserve to have a Sports Bar and taps?? I thought I'd give this location another change but was terribly disappointed. Upon walking in a girl with purple hair didn't even greet us but looked annoyed. After we told her we're "dining in" she said you have to order at the cash register first. We literally turned and walked right back out. I was so surprised because it was a sports bar two years ago.

We discovered their frozen pizzas in California, which are the best frozen pizza you could buy. I grew up about an hour North of Chicago and was surrounded by the best pizza parlors. Once I moved away, it was so hard to find a decent pizza. When visiting back home, we stopped at a Home Run Inn and it was even better. It is the real thing and the restaurant was modern but still had the amazing, great quality pizza that I grew up loving.

There are clear signs throughout the entire place that say masks are required, yet a customer was allowed to come in and still get what they needed. What's the point of having curbside pickup then if you're not going to use that or any of the others signs? I pointed out to an employee how the customer had no mask and asked if they're even enforcing the masks to which they replied they talked to her about it. They didn't ask her at any point to wait outside when curbside pickup is available. The employee then said there was no one else in the area so it was fine. Um yes there was guy! Me! That's why I was pointing it out to you. Guess I'm not considered a person at this place huh? Employees don't say anything even when customers don't cover their face and treat their mask like a chin guard. In terms of the food, it was good. I did like the buttery crust. However, it's not worth driving all the way to that part of the city just to try their pizza. You're better off getting their frozen pizza from any local grocery store. It tasted pretty much the same. Our table was dirty and it was nice that the worker took the time to clean it up for us, but that alone doesn't overshadow everything else mentioned. If you decide to order from here come at your own risk. I highly recommend you get it curbside cause they clearly ain't doing it right inside. This is just another place where customer safety isn't priority, money is. It's no wonder there is talk of our state shutting down again.

I ordered by phone, went to pick up and they had not made the full order. I ordered two pizzas only one was ready, I then had to wait an additional 20 mins for a plain cheese pizza.... I used to really like this place but the price gauge was pretty high and to me the quality is nothing special.

How is it that you open at 11 and there is already an immediate hour wait?!? Then I need to call right back, and I did in 60 seconds to be place on such a long hood that I made it there driving first. Then I suggest delivery and I'm told it's a two and a half hour wait! And the pick up would now be a two hour wait because they received a big order. I'm sorry but as a previous worker of a pizza place I know it would be smart to push out smaller orders while pushing out that big order also. How can you not? So they restaurant shuts down for one guest's order?!? What the heck?? Idk maybe start your oven before 11?? Maybe hire more people???! I'm sure there's a solution. Or hell, open early enough to at least take orders!! I suggested my school use home run inn this time and that was a big mistake.

I visited this location for the first time. Customer service is great and the food is great. However, it could be a bit cleaner. Also, can staff please go outside from time to time to pick up paper and trash. Also, there seems to be a problem with flies in the restaurant.

I was just there. The staff was amazing. Robert the manager was very welcoming. I accidentally order my pizza online from the wrong location. Immediately, I placed another order and within 20 mins I was walking out with a hot pizza. I highly recommend this location and look forward to going back. BTW....my guest devoured the pizza. It was good and hot.

I have been meaning to do this review for a while. First I have grew up a fan of Home Run Inn pizza, but this location has failed me again. The pizza was very disappointing like they didn't care what they served you. The spinach on my pizza was not fresh ( probably frozen) and the tomatoes were definitely canned. My husband's disliked his pepperoni ( plus extras) pizza. To pay over $60 for two pizzas you expect fresh ingredients and some type of effort in delivering a good product. I was happy to see a location on the south side of Chicago but I am disappointed that you think we deserve garbage. I advise anyone and everyone not to waste their money, especially at this location. You have lost a customer and I'm sure I ain't the only one.

Welcome to the neighborhood, we've been waiting, so glad you're here. Finally open and for lunch too. A great option over and above the other fast food options. However, if you're in a hurry they have a selection of to go slices right up in front for you to select from. You also can order delivery from their app. This is a smaller location serving up the Home Run Inn pizza us Chicagoan's know and love. Getting their pizza at the restaurant is a total different experience from the frozen boxed version. You can really appreciate the unique crust. They do have some salads and other choices, but the pizza is where it's really at, just right in between thin and not yet a deep dish, it has a little thickness to it. If there is a debate this should satisfy both sides. There are several big screen TV's for games and self pour taps for beer. Perfect combo for lunch or dinner. A selection of seating, booths or tables. Staff is working out some kinks, great opportunity for the local kids to get a job, and they're super friendly and helpful. Place has a good vibe, easy free parking right in front.

Staff is EXTREMELY RUDE!!! I came to pick up a ride share order and the guy hollers "get the door I don't know what she wants", in a aggressive tone. Then the girl who came to the door had a TERRIBLE ATTITUDE!!! Would not recommend if you take your customer service seriously.

Ordered Homer Run Inn Pizza last night from the 35th and King Drive location. The delivery was fast, came in about 40 minutes. Pizza was hot and much better than expected. To my surprise when you order delivery on Friday night the order comes with a free frozen pizza that I can pop in the oven later. What other pizza company does that? Also, had the cheese sticks. They definitely hit a home run with me!

This is the worst of all of them. I am the biggest HRI fan. Go to 31st for good service. Here, on three occasions, they have deliberately "missed" my order. In reality, they clean up the kitchen one hour before closing. They give me a refund each time, but gasoline is expensive and my time is even more valuable.

Pre ordered through Door Dash for lunch for my children yesterday. I ordered it at like 2am. It came hot and ready at the time I requested which was around lunch time. This location is always good. My only complaint was that I was given one measly pack of red pepper flakes and Romano cheese for an extra large pizza. Aht aht don't be cheap guys!!! ;)

Every pizza I have gotten from here has been hot, fresh, and on time. I normally opt for a plain cheese with garlic and spinach which is great. This time I tried the sautéed mushrooms with cheddar on half- yummy! I haven't had the chance to dine in due to the pandemic but the brief interactions I've had with staff have been pleasant. Establishment seems clean and everyone is practicing social precautions. They also offer curbside pick-up at this location. Oh yeah, home run inn has a special going right now; EVERY FRIDAY buy one XL pizza and receive a FREE frozen pizza to take home with your purchase!

Although the Pizza is good the customer service is horrible!!!!!! After I call and place my order the young lady was so rude that I quickly call right back and cancel and took my money to Beggars Pizza!!!!!!! Will not Reccommend

We were really excited to get some good pizza last night, but we're really disappointed. The staff was not friendly at all. One girl would swear every time she would have to answer the phone. I overheard one staff say that since it was almost 7:30, they weren't going to do slices of pizza anymore. The menu clearly states that they do slices all day. The floor was dirty and the tables hadn't been bussed in a long time. There was a section of tables shut down and guarded by an old man, who barked at anyone that looked like they were going to go near. The food was not good. By the time we had our slices, they were cold and not flavorful. The mozz sticks were good, but that's it. They also gave me the wrong type of pizza. Definitely avoid this place!

This review is for the HORRIBLE customer service at this location. The staff is always extremely rude and unapologetic for the long wait times even if the order was placed online. I always place my order online and I either experience an additional wait when I arrive to pick it up or something is missing with the order. More than anything the cashiers have the worst attitude. I sometimes wonder if I'm experiencing a candid camera situation...it's ridiculous!

We came in late for pizza and mozzarella sticks. The food was good and our waitress was very nice. The pizza took a little long to come out but there were a couple big groups there at the same time so that made sense and wasn't a big deal. The root beer was good. We left happy with our leftovers!

We called ahead for buffalo wings and a large sausage and mushroom pizza. They said it would be 30 mins. My husband ran in to get the food. He observed that staff were not wearing their mask properly and playing behind the register. They dropped our wings and rendered a free pop for the inconvenience. The pizza did not disappoint.

HORRIBLE I spent $32.32 on a large pizza the size of a medium from other places The pizza was cold and nasty I wouldn't have this pizza again if i were hungrier than a hostage and it was made fresh and given to me free

My girlfriend is Muslim and is not allowed to eat pork I asked for a bbq chicken pizza with onions and the staff added bacon and other products ruining our night. Will not be ordering here ever again, I am not saying the customers always right. But In this case when I tell u to put only two things on my food you listen not stick to whatever u know as a worker that know what you usually put on it that's disrespectful and being unaware of how people prefer the food they're paying for.....

Popped in for a quick lunch, those little ass slices are a complete waste! For 6.00, barely enough pizza. Lesson learned salad only from now on!!

I try with this location because I like Home Run Inn Pizza but they frustrated me so on a recent visit I may not return. I have purchased pizza here before and dined in, even recently. However, with no notice and no posting of a sign or anything they now have some random rule where you cannot eat in the restaurant until after 3pm. Not sure what this rule accomplishes. I was meeting someone there for lunch and arrived early and got our food. When we prepared to sit down to eat that's when they told us no dine in before 3pm. I would not have bought food there had I know this because, like I said I was meeting someone for lunch. They guy said they started this a couple of weeks ago but had not real explanation for why. He did say he would put up a sign so people know. It's a ridiculous rule since they do have a dine in area.

Anti-starvation pizza. Pizza crust was burnt. Very low quality. Way over priced. $15 for a very low quality pizza! Luke I said...anti-starvation good.

Very disappointed in the service at this location. I LOVE the Home Run Inn franchise and work close to this location. Service is everything and you couldn't PAY ME to be insulted by this staff again. It has been said that the true testament of good service is how well issues are resolved. If I could give a rating lower than one star I would. I ordered the Strawberry Walnut Salad. I've ordered this salad multiple times before. Today I received a salad that was half the size, in a different container, for the same price. I inquired about the size and the cashier insisted that it is the same size. I told him that I had just ordered the exact same salad for lunch Friday and a few times before and the portion was twice this size. He just hunched his shoulders, totally dismissed my concerns and moved on to the next guest. At that point, I was livid. I later called to speak with a manager, because I was on a tight schedule at the time. The manager argued that sometimes when they run out of the containers, they use alternate containers. I responded " I totally understand that; however, they are two different sizes." He continued, " the multiple salads that you've purchased in the past, must have been the wrong size. Sometimes employees make mistakes." I said "each and every time was a mistake, not this time?" His reply was yes. I felt insulted and will NEVER order from this location again. The inconsistent menu servings and unsatisfactory customer service Is enough for me to spend my money elsewhere! I'm ok with mistakes, but don't insult my intelligence or dismiss my concerns! Never again!

A friend recommended a pizza at your location. I wanted to get it for a friend in town visiting. This is what I was given. This is a poor representation of Chicago pizza. I was embarrassed and had to toss it out. I should be given a refund.

This was our first time going here and the lines were long but the employees were ok The bathroom is clean and looks good The food was taking long and we had cheesy garlic bread wasn't enough cheese the ranch was cold the cheese pizza was taking forever but it taste just like a regular pizza from Walmart just saying

I ordered for curbside pickup. I got the message that my order was ready for pickup. I called once I was there and the phone kept ringing but nobody picked up. So I went inside just to be greeted by rude employees. My order was not even ready. So I waited in the car and finally after 20 minutes and employee brings me my order without saying one word. This was the first and last time I will be visiting this location.

Went yesterday ordered a xl sausage and cheese pizza and mozzarella sticks and it was delicious but when my family and I got home we got extremely sick and that was the only thing we ate yesterday I feel horrible

Hello,  I purchased a 14' sausage pizza from your Bronzville location yesterday,  12/29 at approximately 10:35pm.  It is the worst pizza I have ever had from a Home Run Inn location.. & I do not say make this statement easily.  I am a lifelong Home Run inn fan.. My love story began in the 80's with my parents at the 31st street restaurant & continues to this day; it is my favorite thin crust pizza in Chicago!  So when I visited my boyfriend a few weeks ago,  i was super excited to see a location on the South side (I'm a westsider).  The pizza did not taste like any Home Run Inn Pizza I've had in my lifetime,  even the frozen ones are better; the only thing that was vaguely similar was the crust.  The sauce wasn't good,  the cheese was too thick & the sausage had no flavor & an odd texture. It reminded both of us of the elementary school lunch room pizzas of our youth. We did eat a couple of pieces because we were hungry & the location was closed by the time we tried it, but we are very disappointed and will never visit this location again. I contacted headquarters via email prior to posting this review. Also,  would recommend someone from headquarters visit the location to see why their pizza isn't the same as other locations.

My first and LAST time at this location. The customer service is AWFUL! The girls ALL have attitudes. The young girl (Jasemine) that's how she spells it, has absolutely no customer service experience and should not be taking orders over the phone. She used profanity and I asked for a specific sauce for my wings - that is not on this locations menu (i didn't know prior) and she verbatim told me " I don't know what you're talking about- we ain't got it". I get to the restaurant to pick up my order and half of it is sitting on this rack by the front door. My pizza still had time but that was not relayed to me. I sat for 15 minutes waiting on the pizza - who know how long my wings and cheese sticks were sitting on the "warming" rack. Now this is the kicker- I get the pizza home - which is 7 minutes away and the crap is ICE COLD!!! Like wtf!!!

Followup: No one responded back to me regarding the DM. The adjustment to my order was never done. I have to do a billing dispute I see. Now im Even more reluctant to expect good service going forward. I hope im wrong though.

I live very close to this new location and had been eagerly awaiting their opening. We walked to the restaurant on opening night for dine-in service and were greeted by friendly staff. Our smiling server provided good service. More importantly, the pizza had the same great taste that we've come to expect, as long time patrons of their original 31st Street location. The fact that the Bronzeville location is so convenient, they serve adult beverages and they have tvs for watching games, means my family will be giving our support for years to come.

My first time back in Chicago in ages and to my surprise a new branch of one of my favorite pizzerias exceptionally neat my parents house. I went for a late lunch and something was off. I cannot explain it in great detail but if you're my age you'll understand if you go. The pizza tasted nearly the same as I remembered but I just couldn't shake the sensation of something being off. Also, the staff was not especially attentive considering how slow the place was. I'll stick with going to the original spot next time I am in town.

This is my 3rd time giving them a chance and today the service was terrible. I ordered online for curbside pickup and after sitting for 30 minutes and no one came out, I go in to find out they gave my food to the wrong person. They didn't check the email or ask what was your order to verify or anything. Then they aren't even accommodating or anything. We all make mistakes but it's how you handle the situation. Training is needed

If I could find a zillion less stars, I'd post them. Disappointed, painfully broker and it was too late at night for me to take my 78 plus senior body back to this mockery. A frozen Home Run Inn pizza would have been a zillion times better. The pizza was beyond AWFUL. The pepperoni was thinner than a sheet of paper; the crust -the kids must of had a how to workshop that night. Lastly, the sauce ‍ Please get some help. Home office is not supporting you with the correct tools to work with .

Ordered carry out, pizza was undercooked and wings were over sauced. Not the same quality of other locations. I hope they improve. Heated my pizza some more at home but it was under-sauced and ended up dry, threw it out. Sent feedback to corporate after I saw someone had gotten sick, no response. Life resident of Chicago, hIghly disappointed. Was looking forward to location close to home.

My neighborhood HRI- I live right across the street and come here to dine in or order carry out very often. Never have a problem with this place. Pizza is always great and full of toppings. One time we had our pizza came wrong but the server caught the mistake quickly and gave us the wrong pizza while our correct pizza was being made. Wings always come with plenty of sauce and are cooked perfectly. Had the buffalo fries once and they were so good. Drinks always come quickly and are prepared well. Servers and hostesses are nice and personable. The good music is also a plus. Will continue to make this place my regular dinner spot!

A must have when I'm home in Chicago. Sorry guys but the frozen just won't do once you've had the pippin hot fresh out the oven.
