Restaurant Review of Zuma in Boston | Eater Boston

"This Arlington outpost of a Watertown original specializes in hand-pulled noodles that are "soft but not too soft," offered with choices such as slightly spicy cumin lamb or chili oil that makes the dish increasingly hot as you eat it. Other noodle options include a mild chopped beef and a chopped pork-and-mushroom version with a kick. The menu also features lean stewed-beef or cumin-lamb burgers served in pita-like bread, plus dumplings and solid takes on chicken wings and scallion pancakes, creating a straightforward, satisfying neighborhood noodle spot." - Dana Hatic

We order the fresh hand-pulled noodles all the time here – it’s probably our favorite takeout in the neighborhood. Always absolutely delicious – I particularly like the ones with fermented spicy chili paste. They have cleaned up the restaurant a bit since the dark days of Covid, so it’s actually pleasant to eat in. But there’s nothing like leftover noodles in the fridge for a delicious snack…

The feeling that filled my heart in this moment was one finding a long lost love. One that you had once, one that eventually drifted apart due to whatever circumstances, and then finding each other again in the most unexpected moment and regaining that wonderful traction of a friendship all over again. Yes, I’m talking about food. It was once a tale of two spots. One in Watertown and one right here. As I resided in closer to the Watertown location since the move here, I frequented it and found solace in their dishes - absolute comfort food that was done very well. However, like all businesses, things change and eventually the business was sold. I knew there was a transition period and the owner and chefs stuck around to “train” the new owners. I hoped that the “good” would remain and that the new owners would continue the tradition of wonderfully curated dishes and keep the regulars coming back. Did it happen? No. I gave them about a month of repeated visits to gauge their level of culinary competence but it never came through. Long story short. I stopped going and that feeling of lost love began to fester. I didn’t think much of it. I thought he had sold this place too since I’ve often overheard him saying how hard it was to run this business to his associates as he tried to satisfy every customer walking in the door or ringing the phone off the hook. So when I finally found a chance to be on this side of town, I decided to stop by and give it a shot. Maybe, maybe I thought, the new owners here would do a much better take on what they had taken over. What I didn’t expect after placing an order was to see the owner walking out from the kitchen with dishes in hand to serve another table. Eyes wide open, I couldn’t help but say, “HEY! Good to see you again.” He in return showed the same look and smiled greeting me back with fondness and delight. That’s when I spoke to the lady and asked more about the whole situation, wherein she explained how they sold the other place but kept this one. Regulars of the other spot now take the 15-20 minute drive just to come up here instead for a meal. I smiled. It made sense. They must have felt robbed when they went back after the place was sold. Food wasn’t even remotely the same. Don’t even talk about service either. Anyways, long story short, when the food came out. I felt this completeness return back to my soul. Here, once again, I felt home away from home. The food did me justice. The flavors impeccable. The culinary finesse was displayed thoroughly with each bite. So it is, once again, I found my long lost love again in Boston and can’t wait to be here every single Sunday for a wonderful special meal that teleports me back to what “Home Tastes” like.

The food was very good. I like their menu, many options to choose from. I would recommend this place and would definitely go again.

Google
Dinner with husband found it by accident. Definitely not a place you want nice romantic dinner. But if you come just purely for food. That’s ok. Very authentic northern Chinese food. A bit oily for us but tasty. Will be back with kids.

Google
Home Taste – Arlington, MA 📍 1312 Massachusetts Ave, Arlington, MA 02476 ⭐️ Food: 8/10 | 💸 Affordability: 8/10 | 🌟 Ambiance: 5/10 If you’re looking for authentic Chinese comfort food in Arlington, Home Taste is a hidden gem worth checking out. We started with the Scallion Pancake, a crispy and flaky delight with just the right amount of chew. The Wonton Soup stole the show — tender wontons filled with perfectly seasoned pork swimming in a rich, savory broth. This dish is a must-order and easily earns a 9/10. The House-Made Hand-Pulled Noodles were another standout. With just the right bounce and chew, they’re tossed with crisp green vegetables and a light sauce that lets the noodles shine. Another 9/10 in our books. We also tried the Orange Chicken, which came glazed in a sticky, sweet-tangy sauce and served with fresh broccoli florets — a classic done right. The House Special Fried Rice was hearty and satisfying, filled with chicken, beef, shrimp, and veggies, making it a solid shareable option. The Chinese Beef Burger was something unique and memorable — cumin-sautéed beef, onions, garlic, and peppers stuffed into a crispy, flatbread-like bun. Bold, flavorful, and satisfying. Lastly, the Fish Fillet was fresh and delicious. Definitely for fish lovers. Most dishes were a solid 8/10. With reasonable prices and generous portions, it’s easy to see myself coming back for more — especially for those standout noodles and soup. The ambiance is minimal and no-frills, more of a casual takeout or quick dine-in vibe, but the food more than makes up for it. 👉 Must-Try: Wonton Soup & Hand-Pulled Noodles 💰 Worth It: Yes! Especially for the price point.

Google
Omg!!! This place is amazing. My wife and I stopped here on a whim after picking up her car from getting some work done and saw the reviews say how amazing the hand pulled noodles are. She got the cumin lamb ones and I got the braised beef with bean sprouts and both are phenomenal!! Hers came with free popcorn chicken from an Uber deal and I bought us a side order of scallion pancake. Everything is extremely reasonably priced and homemade and delicious!!! No wonder it gets such good reviews. The staff were so friendly and food came out very quickly. I cannot state just how amazing this place is and have absolutely zero complaints. I will definitely be checking out the Watertown location now as it's much closer to home for us. Thank you!!!♡♡

Google
If you want authentic Chinese food, here’s the place to go. Had the lamb meat hand-made noodles. It was pretty alright, though I wished they didn’t add capsicums as that disrupted the taste of the dish. The noodles - the only dish I ordered - took a long 30 min to be served. Lady staff should also be sure to wash her hands after spending some time using the bathroom…; minimum $15 spend in order to use card.

Google
I found chunks of sauce in the 螺蛳粉, which makes me think it wasn’t fully cooked. The vegetables were fresh, but the peanuts weren’t properly roasted—they should really use deep-fried soybeans instead. The meat was great, but the rice noodles tasted like they came from an instant noodle pack. Overall, it was somewhat enjoyable. As for the other dishes, the flavors were just okay. Some parts tasted like leftovers, which didn’t leave a good impression. I wasn’t impressed.

Yelp
Simple authentic yummy Chinese eatery with basic decor in Arlington. If no one at counter, just ring bell for service. Good: - H5 sesame chicken is very good and tender. - H16 red braised pork belly is flavorful fatty pork in black sauce, goes well with potatoes. - pan fried dumplings are ok, nicely pan fried with good amount of meat filling. Ok: - D8 hand pulled noodles with chopped pork, bean sprout and mushroom is tasty good, though mostly noodles with little meat. - leek and pork dumplings are northern style with thick skin and modest filling

Yelp
The food was a little bland and low quality but I could see the chef was working with what they had. While it wasn't high in quality (you pay for what you get) it is definitely more authentic than your typical chinese American foods (which they also have on the menu). Cute mom and pop place!

Yelp
This restaurant offers pretty authentic food from Shaanxi Province, China including hand-pulled noodles and Rou Jia-Mo (Chinese burger). This place is not fancy but clean. People are quite nice. It seems there are many returning customers and take-outs. We had cucumber salad (good), cold skin noodles with peanuts and bean spouts (excellent, highly recommended), roasted pig feet (ok) noodles mixed with scallion oil soy sauce bean sprouts & sliced cucumber (good), spicy cumin lamb burger (good), and Liuzhou spicy rice noodle soup (ok, noodle was a little soggy and beef is more like beef jerky). Next time I would try other noodle dishes.

Yelp
Great menu, very authentic. I asked for same as Asian gentleman was having, my bad, as the heat almost killed me. Will bring my Dad a nd wife who both enjoy spice more than I do. Great service.

Yelp
Huge bowl of spicy beef noodle soup was comforting on a cold day. Hand pulled noodles were good with a bit of chew and were abundant, I couldn't finish them. Reminded me of Gene's Cafe. The beef had good flavor and seemed to be a bit on the leaner side, but wasnt tough. The bowl wasn't super spicy, which allowed the broth flavor to shine. The scallion pancake was tasty and not too greasy. Service was very quick and the space is casual, not much decor, pretty simple and brightly lit - a bit too bright for me personally, I had a hard time with the white overhead lights. Prices are great for the portion size. Would maybe try takeout from here next time I want hand pulled noods.

Yelp
Very delicious hand pulled noodles! Not too doughy. Ambiance is very casual. I would definitely recommend the lamb noodles. Prices are affordable too

Tom W.

Yelp
My new Waltham Chinese takeout after finding so much bland Chinese to go food out there. And heat doesn't fix blandness. Especially noticeable with beef it seems. That was not the problem here as the Kung Pao beef had plenty of flavor and the sauce was just right -- not the typical flavorless, translucent, starchy goo. I shall return for more dishes and reviews. It's quite nice inside if you decide to eat here. One star off for not telling me there was no asparagus that day until after I walked back 15 min later to pick it up. (Green beans quickly fixed things as I shifted to the Kung Pao.)

Yelp
So good! Best cumin lamb with hand pooled noodles! The wonton soup is very good. Fresh and homemade. Nice portion size. Can never go wrong.

Yelp
D11 is all that needs to be said. Maybe "D11 with thin noodles to be more specific." Is that good enough for you YelpBot?!? D11 D11 is all that needs to be said. D11. Do it. Gowan you will. Ah sure gowan...you'll have a cuppa tea...and the D11. Sure ya will...gowan!

Yelp
I love this place!! Their noodles are amazing. As a vegetarian, I usually get the hand pulled noodles with bok choy and hot chili oil. It's so delicious and comforting. Probably one of my favorite meals ever. My whole family loves this place. Great for takeout or to eat in.
google avatar

Monica A.

Yelp
I saw some reviews about the service here, and I'd recommend ignoring that and focusing on the food! The hand pulled noodles are a must-have. I also really enjoyed their dry pot (spicy!), casserole dishes, and Chinese burger. It's a humble little shop. There is enough space to dine-in as a group, and take out is pretty convenient. Price is pretty reasonable, dishes range from 10-20 and the apps are under $10.

Yelp
Very good handmade noodle and dumplings. My husband said this is the best dumplings he ever had even compared to China town or China. He and my kids like them so much when I turned around they were all gone. The rou jia mo was sooo good! Def get that too

Patrick C.

Yelp
This is a Top 10 location in Arlington! The staff are amazing, the buns ("burgers") are crazy good, and the hand-pulled noodles are Wildddddddd! Both take-out and dine-in are wonderful.

Yelp
We ordered the beef noodle soup, cumin lamb noodles, fried rice, dumplings and scallion pancakes. The dumplings were the star of the show. Doughy, juicy, and flavorful meat. Generally the noodles themselves were delicious but they lacked some flavor. The beef soup comes with what appears to be chicken broth, which was odd. Prices are fair and pickup was quick. Wish the lighting weren't fluorescent or it would be a nice place to go out to.

Hayden C.

Yelp
The food here is exceptional. The hand pulled noodles are incredible and the pork dumplings are also homemade. I've gotten takeout here ~5 times and every time I've had nothing bad to say about any of the food. I can't speak much to the ambiance inside as I've never dined in but would say it definitely is nothing special and rather simple. Recommend if you're looking for good takeout

Jason M.

Yelp
great variety of food. loved the General chicken combo with fried rice. will definitely be back!

Patrick H.

Yelp
By far the best Chinese food in the area. The dumplings and hand pulled noodles are the star of the show.
google avatar

Elaine M.

Yelp
I saw the high reviews about this place and I wanted to go try it out. I went with a friend that's from northern China and she said that the food can use a little more flavor. The dumplings were definitely frozen and the skin is not homemade, maybe premade dumpling skin. The dumpling sauce literally tasted like vinegar and soy sauce, no ginger or garlic taste. The salted crispy chicken texture was perfect but it was not salty and not much taste to it. We thought the garlic cucumber would be strong garlic taste and spicy by looking at it but again there wasn't much garlic taste nor it is spicy and it wasn't even sour. We also ordered the lamb pulled noodles and I really like it because the noodles is soft and long, it is not the same doughy one I'm using to buy it is still good and the reason I liked it that much is because I'm not a lamb person but they cooked the lamb to the point I can handle the taste of it. I will probably go back and try other dishes maybe we just ordered the wrong stuff.

Yelp
Love this place!! Great for dine in or take out. We ordered takeout most recently and the food was prepared quickly and the pick up process was easy and painless. The food was great! We ordered: 1. Scallion pancakes. Great for the price. Excellent dipping sauce. 2. Cold skin noodles - this was my favorite, great spicy oil. 3. Wonton soup - the broth is amazing! My little kiddo loved it. 4. Sautéed Chinese cabbage. I love a good cabbage dish. Something so satisfying and homey about it. The sauce went well with the wontons! 5. Cumin lamb noodles (wide noodles) - for a little clumpy but I think that's on us cuz we picked up our order ten minutes late. Good amount of lamb and other veggies 6. Cold thin noodles with sesame paste. YUMMM. 7. Spicy diced Chicken. also yum!! A lot of other places have TOO MANY chilies and not enough chicken. This was not that. It was great. Highly recommend. Great value for the price. Always happy with our order!

Yelp
The best Chinese food in Arlington area. Particularly like the noodle and home made dumplings! Good for family and kids!

Ellen M. T.

Yelp
Phenomenal, authentic Szechuan cuisine. Very reasonable price. Small, mom and shop type spot. The hand pulled noodles with chili sauce was incredible!
google avatar

Yelp
My go to Chinese ramen place! I am a Chinese and I do think most ramens here are very authentic. Zha Jiang Mian is my go to option!

L L.

Yelp
This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Massachusetts. The food is truly authentic and delicious. The noodle dishes are always fantastic. Rich spice combinations make it clear that the chef is talented and knowledgeable. The setting is bare bones but clean. The service is good. I've eaten in the restaurant and gotten takeout, and either way, the food is excellent. With generous portions and very reasonable prices, I'm looking forward to my next meal here.

Yelp
Homemade Noodles - enough said. If a restaurant can take the time to make their own noodles, then it's definitely worth giving it a shot. I've had Home Taste a few times now during the pandemic, and they're being super safe and the food is amazing. I've gotten their hand-pulled noodles in two different styles and it's SO much food for a really good price. My boyfriend has also gotten a few different styles of noodles, which he also loved. When they say something is spicy, it's definitely spicy! We've gotten the Non-Spicy Beef Noodle Soup, which I genuinely enjoyed during a cold fall/winter night...Cumin Lamb Noodles, which was spicy and delicious...Spicy Hot Oil Noodles, which was spicy and delicious, as well...Scallion Pancakes, which were flaky deliciousness...General Gao's Chicken, which was good...Stewed Pork Bun and Stewed Beef Bun, which were good, but the buns/bread were a bit try, though I still enjoyed them...Pork Pan Fried Dumplings, which also taste homemade and wonderful...Chopped Beef & Bean Sprouts Noodles, which was yummy. I honestly think no matter what you get, it's going to be delicious. They seem to take care of the quality of food and put thought into their meals. Such a good price for quality & quantity of food, we also buy so much extra for leftovers! Definitely come here, as it's become my favorite Chinese take out spot!
google avatar

Charlotte W.

Yelp
A fine addition to Arlington. The noodle dishes are very good, the cucumber salad quite tasty. They have added some other dishes since they initially opened, and the ones we have tried have been good. We tend to order the noodle dishes though - it is hard to go wrong. A particular weakness of ours is the fried chicken appetizer, fried chicken wings. Not particularly Chinese, but shatteringly crisp, well seasoned and highly tasty. Eat them while they're hot! They have been largely takeout in COVID times, and have been very attentive to covid protocols, which is reassuring and welcome.
google avatar

Nicky S.

Yelp
This place is the real deal when it comes to fresh pulled noodles. It is 100% delicious and the flavors of each dish are incredible. I like to do take out because it's close to my house and is an easy way to have a special dinner that everyone in my family loves. I highly recommend.
google avatar

Tiff L.

Yelp
If you want hand pulled noodles, this is the place to go! Home Taste is a small shop located on a busy street in Arlington. There's usually plenty of street parking around. Their menu offers a variety of Sichuan cuisine dishes but don't pass over their noodle section. I tried their beef hand pulled noodle soup and the spicy cumin lamb hand pulled noodles and both dishes are great! The noodles are long, flat, and bouncy. You could definitely tell they were hand pulled. I don't usually like lamb because it's too gamey for me but I enjoyed the lamb noodle dish! Looking forward for my next Home Taste adventure!

Gabrielle W.

Yelp
This small Asian noodle shop is my new favorite place to eat when I come to the Boston area from New Hampshire. Amazing fresh house made noodles in soups and dishes. Spicy or not, healthy or maybe not so healthy (some might have more meat than you'd want to eat every day, but oh so yummy), the variety is sure to please multiple diner's tastes. Super friendly service and the dishes arrived very quickly. Can't recommend Home Taste enough!
google avatar

Zane X.

Yelp
Those who know Zane Xanadu know that he's an old China hand, having wasted a significant portion of his lifetime hanging out in China, doing nothing in particular. That's why I felt if important to point this restaurant out. You see, many townies will be a bit too generous when reviewing their local spot. I want to assure you that the food here is top notch. Don't be fooled by the modest appearance, Please try the noodles made in house.

Yelp
I am not of Chinese descent, nor have I been there, but I do believe that at Home Taste I've stumbled upon some authentic Chinese cuisine. Dad went out for the evening so the kids and I decided to order takeout and try a new restaurant. We ordered the green scallion pancake, the spicy chili cucumber salad with garlic, the marinated beef, chicken lo mein, wonton soup, and (boiled) pork cook dumplings. My son reports that this is the best Chinese food he has ever had in his life. But the menu is not what most American people would expect. There are many dishes I have never heard of and the wonton soup does not taste like any I have ever had. Rather it tastes a bit lighter and was topped with seaweed. Scallion pancake is small and lightly fried. That dumplings are homemade and large in size with thick skin. Marinated beef is dry and flavorful. If you're hoping for your typical American Chinese takeout spot I'd say go elsewhere, but for an authentic Chinese experience please try Home Taste. They are known for their hand pulled noodles, so I can't believe that I failed to order them. I will definitely order them next time and report back.
google avatar

Anna F.

Yelp
The house fried rice was really good. It's not like the Americanized kind. Also had the spicy sesame noodles. Those weren't what I was expecting- the overwhelming flavor was more spicy tangy, rather than sesame. Other dishes people liked were this pot with fish, tofu, shrimp and wood ear mushrooms. The apps were also delicious- my friend said it was the best scallion pancake she had. The veggie dumplings were freshly made. Next time want to get pan fried pork dumplings. They came to another table, and looked awesome!

Yelp
Just moved to Boston area and so glad we found this authentic Chinese noodle shop. Ordered spicy sour fen twice in a row already and hope to explore more on the long menu.

Yelp
Gene's flatbread in Chinatown is hard to get to, especially with a toddler, and Xian Famous Foods in NYC is even further. Fortunately, Home Taste is here to satisfy your hand-pulled noodle needs. This is the second location of the restaurant in Watertown. While it doesn't quite reach the bar set by Xian Famous foods, it's definitely worth a visit. It's nice to see some regional Chinese food popping up in Arlington, as this location is just down the street from Szechwan's Dumpling. The green onion pancakes were nice and flaky, but I could have used a bit more green onion. The boiled pork dumplings were surprisingly large, with good, flavorful filling. I liked the chewy texture of the wrappers, but they were definitely much thicker than what most would find ideal. We got the special fish with pickled cabbage, which also included some wood ear mushrooms swimming in the sour, spicy broth. It's a little less sour than Mulan's version, and also incorporates some cumin and other spices that Mulan's clear version doesn't have. The fish was tender and very well-flavored. Overall, this was my favorite dish. The "hamburger" with cumin lamb had a slightly sweeter and chewier wrapper than what I've had at other places, which was nice as often the wrapper just tastes like stale bread. The lamb was good, if a little salty. Finally, the hand pulled noodles featured the same cumin lamb and thick, chewy noodles. They're not quite as springy as they would be at somewhere like XFF, but still very enjoyable.
google avatar

Dil S.

Yelp
Exactly what I was looking for. Fresh and delicious Chinese. Pork burger, home made noodles, and general tsau all fantastic. Wish they had a bell in front because I waited a while for someone to come out so I could pay. Will certainly be back so be quicker to take my money!
google avatar

Fang Z.

Yelp
Don't get me wrong, their food is amazing! However, I'd rather tip the funeral house more than they - couldn't get any worse attitude from the hostess.

Yelp
4 out of 5 place - noodles with large selection of soup / sauce base. Ordered sichuan beef noodle: 4/5 for the noodle itself - decent but not Q enough; 5/5 for the soup; 3/5 for the beef - low quality beef really underimpressed. Also ordered ZhaJiang noodle. It came a mix of northern and southern flavor. It is a place that would deserve a return to try out given the large selection of flavor, convenient location, plus they also offer full set of regular menu.
google avatar

X M.

Yelp
This is our new go-to Chinese takeout place. Their menu is focused on a variety of noodle dishes. Some of them are quite authentic. We are very happy with the quality and service offered by this little place. Strongly recommend the dishes listed on the blackboard labeled as house specials. Those are super good, and rarely found in other nearby Chinese restaurants. Note they only have a few tables inside, and the tables/chairs do not look comfortable. So dinning-in may not be a good idea. Also, if you are on a low-cardiet, this place may not be good for you.
google avatar

Kelly B.

Yelp
Delicious. Me and my daughter started with fried dumplings. They were very lightly fried. Perfect if you ask me. They were amazing. You could tell they were made fresh. Absolutely delicious. We then shared of bowl of spicy hot oil noodles. Very spicy so if you don't like a lot of spice specify that and they will put less spice for you. Super cute little place. Reasonably priced. I definitely recommend.

Yelp
We came here on a Sunday night at around 6PM and had a really tasty meal. We are also big fans of Gene's Chinese Flatbread (we actually just had it the day before) but we were excited to try this location since it's a lot more convenient for us. We started with the scallion and tofu appetizer. We didn't know what this was but I'm a fan of both scallion and tofu so figured I'd like it. And we all did! It's a delightful silken tofu cold dish, with the tofu covered in a sauce of sesame oil, peanut butter, and scallion. Very refreshing and a great opening to the meal. Next we had D4, which was the hot oil hand pulled noodles. We've had this dish at Gene's before and I actually liked this one more than Gene's. It was very flavorful and easy to mix. The bok choy that came with it was very snappy and tasty too. We also ordered a serving of pan fried pork dumplings. I love thick skinned dumplings which these are-- very chewy and the meat filling was solid too. To the reviewer who complained that these weren't called Peking Ravioli-- as a Chinese person, I have never heard of anything called Peking Ravioli and if I saw it was called that I would've been rather turned off (ravioli makes me think of cheese which I would hate to have with a good dumpling). I think the fact that they are labeled as dumplings with hand pulled skin should show that these are thick skinned, like how thick their noodles are. But you can insult them-- I think the dumplings can take it since they are so thick skinned :) Last we finished with the fried pork casserole. We weren't really sure what to expect from this one either. It was a soupy dish with fish ball, seaweed, bamboo, and fried pork, as well as with some thin vermicelli style noodles. We were pleasantly surprised by how much pork was in the soup. It was a warm and comforting way to round out the meal!

Yelp
One of the best Chinese restaurants in Massachusetts serving Chinese food other than Cantonese. The hand pulled noodles and dry pots are delicious. All the ingredients are fresh and cooked to perfection. And don't worry, for those unscientifically averse to MSG, this restaurant claims to not use it and the flavor still packs a punch. Don't expect gourmet level service though. Go to the spa if you want to be pampered.
google avatar

Robo T.

Yelp
The hand pulled noodles with cumin lamb were good. The pork dumplings are also good. The combination of this dish and app is very heavy/doughy though. Very very rocky start for this newly opened spot. We were there either day 2 or 3 and service was disaster-ish.

Yelp
With great anticipation I biked over to the new Arlington branch of Home Taste late on their opening night and then returned a few days later on a Sunday afternoon with my lady. Opening night was a treat because I was able to chat with the staff and owner about the origins of the menu (which is something of smorgasbord of dishes from difference Chinese provinces) and what they would recommend as an introduction to their food. My choices were: - Chinese lamb burger - Cucumber salad with mashed garlic - Spicy vegetarian hand-pulled noodles The dishes were so authentic-tasting and fresh, they took me back to a recent tour in China and Xian in particular. The hand-pulled noodles in particular were superb, with a nice kick from the numbing sichuan peppercorns that I love. In my dreams Home Taste would be able to serve up a cheap fresh Hans lager like their counterparts in Xian, but one can only ask for so much. Until my dream comes true there is bottled tea. Returning a few days later, its was apparent that the staff need to learn how to juggle the onslaught of take-out orders along with their sit-down business, but we were patient diners and the experience and the tastes were still fabulous. My advice to others is to stick take advantage of the sit-down experience at Home Taste until the take-out operation gets dialed-in, you will be rewarded.

Yelp
AUTHENTIC Chinese noodles; what a treat here in the US! While there are a lot of decent places to get noodles around Boston, it's rare to find somewhere that specializes in them. My one critique is that unlike the Watertown location, this restaurant doesn't serve too many choices besides noodles (though I must say that the dumplings, also handmade, were delightful). If you're looking for Chinese cuisine in general, I wouldn't say that this is the place...but if you're looking for a phenomenal bowl of hand-pulled noodles, this is it!

Yelp
The lamb noodle soup with home made noodles was delicious; it was piled on with veggies, lamb, etc., and broth was great, too. Very good value for price. This place definitely rivals Gene's Cafe in Woburn/Chinatown. Since it's walking distance from me, I can see myself being a regular. Glad I gave it a try!

Yelp
The flavor of the Beef Noodle Soup is very good, but the noodles are over cooked and mushy. If they could get the noodles to be cooked perfectly, it would be a very good dish.

Yelp
Wow. Some of the best hand pulled noodles and dumplings we've ever had! We got the cumin lamb noodles, spicy oil noodles, and sweet and sour dumplings. Definitely a staple for us!

Yelp
Never disappoints! Best hand pulled-made noodles! Spicy and sour dumplings are the best. Clean and friendly atmosphere and located in Arlington Heights. They have a great curb said policy with the COVID pandemic. Parking can be tricky on Mass ave but so worth it.

Yelp
This is the best quality/value noodle. I am a little obsessed with hand pulled noodles and Home Taste hits it out of the park. The cumin lamb noodles is a once or twice a week feast. If you don't like lamb, any of their other hand pulled noodle dishes are exceptional. My wife says their scallion pancakes are the best she's had outside of China. We also love the leek dumplings (with pork).

Yelp
No frills and great food! We had a variety of hand pulled noodles here and they did not disappoint. The cold chicken is delicious and wood-ear as well. Excited to go back!!

Yelp
The food is not bad. The policy that you can't use your debit card or credit card for orders over $10 but under $15 or $20 is ridiculous. Any restaurant, in the aggregate (daily total of business) does enough business to eat what ever fees they say they must pass to the customer. I'm a fairly regular customer that got snapped with this charge (on takeout no less) for an order of about $12. The restaurant had plenty of patrons inside. So bring cash folks--then no problem but if you're eating alone or as a couple, you might be under $20 and be hit with a fee or need cash. book keeper--figure out your aggregate / month or / week and figure it's likely paying off for folks that order at $9 or $10. Warning to owners--many potential customers don't come back to venues that don't let them use their debit card or credit cards for small purchases. I've been in convenience stores that never have a minimum for buying a pack of gum or a drink for $1 to $2 ...so why when ordering $12, $13, $14 do you send customers off on a cold day. Two stars will become many stars when you accept cards properly
