Home Team BBQ - Review - Aspen - The Infatuation

"With multiple locations in South Carolina, Home Team BBQ’s mountain outpost at the base of Buttermilk ski area is the perfect pitstop between runs. Expect hearty house-smoked barbecue platters with classic Southern sides like collard greens, cole slaw, and mac and cheese, sandwich specials, and frozen cocktails like the signature Gamechanger—a stiff blend of spiced rum, pineapple juice, and cream of coconut with a dash of fresh nutmeg. It’s also a hangout for football fans on game days, and a great place to catch live music on the fireside stage in the back room. photo credit: Craig Turpin" - Katie Shapiro

Anchoring the base of the Buttermilk ski area — home to the X Games Aspen every January — Home Team serves house-smoked meats, traditional Southern sides, and signature frozen cocktails. Outside of the X Games, the family-friendly hangout plays other sports on its TVs, so stop by for any type of game day. We had a wonderful dining experience with good food and excellent service. One of our dishes was slightly delayed, but the manager went out of their way to make it right by offering us a complimentary dessert—a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. That kind of service truly sets a place apart. We’ll definitely be back!

While staying at the hotel a few days. I heard great things about Home Team BBQ and have it a try. Since day one I was hooked on the flavor and so this review is from 3 different days trying different options. I’ll start by saying that from Christy the host, to the servers like Gil and others, they were great and made the experience well enjoyed. Ate after 6pm most days. Dined in with no wait time. Recommendations provided of daily specials by everyone. Food wait time was normal on all dine-in. First day I tried the turkey platter with baked beans and Mac & cheese. Everything was fenomenal, so tender. I’m big on Max & cheese which is why I had on all 3 occasions. Portion is just right with a bit of the harden cheese. Stays hot during course of the meal which is great. Beans flavorful with that smoky presence. Second day I went for the wings…😋😋😋 OMG!!! The flavor is to the bone 🦴 so good. No lack of smoky taste here! It’s definitely a party in the mouth when you first bite into them! Added mac & cheese. Can’t pass that up. Third day Christy points out having the Cuban sandwich on the specials menu. Being from south Florida , Cuban sandwiches can be found throughout. Trying foods outside of my daily circles provides an opportunity to taste different renditions of popular foods. This Cuban sandwich is no exception. The sandwich includes all the main elements from Cuban sandwiches but with their own touch. Hint of mustard included which is a must in Cuban sandwich and the pickles were added, cut thicker than the norm and is a great touch. The pork has the smoky taste which is unique to Home Team BBQ and makes the entire sandwich explode with flavor. Size looks small but was very filling. Size just right. Amazing place to dine and highly recommend!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lastly, the views outside are stunning and make outdoor eating so enjoyable. 🏔️

If you’re looking for a chill spot with good BBQ and a great view, this place is solid. The vibe is super relaxed, perfect for hanging out after a day on the mountain. Plus, you get a nice view of the Buttermilk ski slopes while you eat. I had the pulled pork nachos, and they were pretty good. Plenty of toppings, smoky and flavorful, without being overwhelming. My friend got the carnitas tacos, and they were just as good. Overall, it’s a great spot to kick back, enjoy some good food, and take in the scenery. I’d definitely come back.

Google
Got the wings and the pulled pork nachos, both were incredible!! The white sauce for the wings was the perfect balance of creamy and tangy. Would definitely recommend it to anyone in the mood for some good bbq

Google
Amazing food every meal we had. The fried ribs were the best ribs I've had in my life and that's hard to say as a Kansas City native.

Google
My whole family was satisfied, which is a rare thing to say. Beers were phenomenal. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the chicken (some of the best most juicy chicken ever) and the brisket chilli (was gone in a second) had incredible flavor. The turkey was average but the ribs and chicken were amazing! If you are in Aspen, I would highly recommend stopping by Home Base BBQ!

Google
The food is good, fresh, and seasoned well. However for the price you shouldn’t charge so much to drink plain Lipton iced tea out of a cheap old plastic red cup and charge $2.50 for 2 oz of sauce is insane. The kids chicken tenders is cheap frozen chicken strips that come with nothing fyi. The brisket chili was the best thing that we liked.

Had a great all-around experience at Home Team BBQ within the Inn at Aspen on Buttermilk Mountain. This is the only restaurant on that mountain but it is a good one, especially if you like BBQ. The restaurant is beautiful inside, the food is solid, and the service is excellent. This place must get packed during the X Games!

Yelp
As someone from Texas who has had a lot of barbecue and even smokes my own, I have pretty high standards--but Home Team BBQ in Aspen seriously impressed me. The pulled pork and smoked turkey were both spot-on, with great flavor and perfect texture. And the brisket chili? I didn't know I needed that in my life, but now I don't know how I ever lived without it. Beyond the food, the service was excellent. The bartender was not only extremely nice but also really knowledgeable, making great recommendations and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're a barbecue aficionado or just looking for a great meal after a day on the slopes, this place is a must-visit. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Very disappointed....Brisket cold, chopped, lots of fat-no taste. Jalapeño sausage-tasted like "all filler" product-seemed undercooked-We are local and I have heard these type of reviews from others.....

Yelp
Had some very good BBQ at Home Team. The ribs were very good, the smoked turkey and chicken too. The coleslaw was good but nothing special. The kids sliders were very good and they liked them. The only drawback was the sauces were okay but not great. When we saw the six or seven of them lined up it seemed like it would be fun to try them all but none were particularly delicious. Not bad, just not a draw. Hence the 4 stars.

Yelp
Had a quick stay at this hotel for a wedding and grabbed some breakfast here. Overall was pretty good! Pricing was fair and portion was large. Good option for a meal if you don't want to go into downtown.

Yelp
OUTSTANDING CHICKEN WINGS!! I love chicken wings and this was the #1 best chicken wing I've ever had. We ended up ordering more they were just so perfect. Can't wait to come back and eat here regularly.

Yelp
Home Team BBQ was just the meal we needed! After traveling for a day or two we didn't feel like driving back downtown to eat dinner. Lucky for us our hotel had this BBQ spot. After reading the reviews it was the general consensus that the locals send people there so it had to be good! Plus all you can smell in the hotel is BBQ so by default you were already craving it. I had the salad with pulled pork and no complaints! It was fun to try the different sauces they had on the meat + enjoy a fresh salad. My husband had the combo meal with brisket and smoked chicken. I tried the chicken and it was really good with the hot hot sauce. The flavor profile was robust and the meat was tender. The Mac and cheese was also flavorful and not dry. The price was good too - for $60 we had a nice dinner in Aspen. Definitely give this place a try especially if you are staying at The Aspen Inn. You can't beat it.

Yelp
Love, love love this place. The food is delicious and generous! Perfect to refuel after skiing on beautiful Buttermilk! Get the tots.

Yelp
This is a great spot to hit right after you land at Aspen airport. It's located at the Inn near the base of Buttermilk mountain. Free parking and good eats can be found here. I got a pulled pork sandwich with their Mac and cheese side for about $20. My big party of 8 sat right down, ordered and we're in and out in under an hour. Great service, with a good beat selection. The BBQ isn't bad either!
google avatar

Yelp
Very expensive and stingy portions. Had to track down the waiter multiple times and then they added an automatic 20% tip since there were 7 of us. I would have given maybe 15% but apparently we don't get to choose, even though three of the people were kids. Even 18% I've seen for large parties, but 20% automatically is just stupid.

Yelp
Great bbq. Great sides. Delicious sauces. Good service. Good beer selection. Highly recommend the brisket, pulled pork and the mac n cheese.

Yelp
Father and son in Aspen for Thanksgiving and catered Home Team so we could eat at our condo to cheer on the Lions. Wow!! Exceptional meal with all the traditional fixins. Thanks Home Team. Great job!!

U.S. A.

Yelp
Shitty service, cold food and way overpriced. And when the food came back it still wasn't very warm. As a local I would not recommend it. The food isn't very good anyway when it's made the right way.
google avatar

Jerry R.

Yelp
Service is the absolute worst here. Guess what, if you pay attention to our table we are going to order more food and our bill will be higher, in theory the restaurant would make more money. Additional items were not ordered because the wait staff was no where to be found. I can't say the bbq is worth it, the ribs were dry and the brisket chewy.

Yelp
This is my family's second year spending Thanksgiving in Snowmass/Aspen. Last year we happened upon this BBQ restaurant and I ended up coming back again before the week was over because I enjoyed it tremendously. This place is set inside the Inn at Aspen. There's plenty of parking in the lot in front- and electric chargers for vehicles in the side lot. We came tonight on the early side as we had three children in our group and everyone was pretty hungry. Ordered food for the kids right away- and a side of tater tots for them to share. The tots are fancified with thyme, pepper and seasoned salt. I made a 180 decision on a cocktail and ordered a Tattooine, which is essentially more or less a margarita-esque drink but it has prickly pear juice and lots of spice so it was a beautiful and tasty cocktail. The adults ordered 12 smoked wings with white sauce. They also come with a second sauce, which was also tasty but I had no idea what it was- kind of garlicky and similar texture to an aioli. These wings are tremendous! Smoked and then I believe fried to a crisp before coming out. I would've eaten them all but we went entrees right after. Chose the two meat combo platter with a half rack of St Louis style Ribs and also smoked turkey. My sides were the tomato and cucumber salad with pickled onions, and the Brunswick Stew. Also comes with a warm and pillowy roll, homemade pickles and pickled onions- with a gift of a couple pork rinds that are so crunchy and seasoned addictively. The ribs? Done so well, the bark is incredible, these ribs are masterfully done. Some places will cheat and boil ribs before smoking or grilling them- no shortcuts here. Lots of meat due to the STL cut. Basically get 3 double rib portions in a half rack- could've just stuck with that. The smoked turkey was flavorful and also still juicy. I used a few different sauces because I'm hopelessly addicted to them. Six different types of sauces, from traditional with different levels of heat, to a mustard based sauce, and a pepper and vinegar sauce that sneaks up on you. I didn't come close to finishing my meal. That's the good news- I'll have more than two meals out of this visit. I placed an order of pork rinds to go. Couldn't help myself. Our server Derek crushed our service tonight. Everything was great food wise, we never needed anything more but Derek was all over his section making sure nobody waited for anything should they need it. When he brought out my giant bag of pork rinds, I had NO IDEA they came with pimiento cheese! I have several weaknesses and pimiento cheese is always near the top. It's such a bonus that I am going to destroy these tomorrow for MNF. Derek also helped us with providing boxes and containers for our sides, and a larger bag so it was easier to manage. I got an extra side of white sauce because I'm gonna drown my turkey in it. Derek also brought a small ramekin of limes for acidity and balance with the chili seasoning. Our family has now been here three times. Each visit was great! No complaints about anything- I also heard (and remembered from a previous visit) that the chicken and white bean chili was a huge hit! The interior of this establishment is definitely a little fancier than most BBQ joints I've been to. TVs everywhere for NFL Sunday, a pool table and enough seats at the bar to handle a crowd. Well worth the visit if you're willing to give it a go.

Yelp
Great spot at the base of Buttermilk mountain near Aspen. Make sure you try the smoked (not fried) wings, they are amazing and were the highlight of our lunch. We got the barbecue platter, a delightful selection of smoked meats with your choice of sauce already on the table. The pulled pork was money though the brisket was really really fatty. Again, go with the wings and I also hear the nachos are fantastic as well, gives me an easy reason to come back. This was a great spot to stop with the kiddo to stretch his legs and get some food in our bellies before venturing over Independence pass. Will definitely get here again, always in for good barbecue!

Yelp
Mac and cheese Sauces Service Also the beer selection was good. The meet however was mediocre. My husband is big on BBQ meats. I'm big on BBQ sides (hence the Mac and cheese eating). He thought the brisket was fatty and the pulled pork was a cheap cut of meat (it was also fatty). Parking is easy. Lots of free parking out front of the hotel the restaurant is in. Service was friendly. They have a fireplace, which is nice. But we thought the meat was too fat. Additional info: we are born and raised in the deep south - GA and TN.

Yelp
Normally when you put a restaurant in a hotel, you set up a check list for mundane, average, and canned experience. Home Team is pretty much anything but that experience. Unique food, on par with anything similar, and a well stocked bar. The staff, though busy, is very friendly, and very responsive. I'd say nearly all of them gave us great service were personable and keep things light/fun. It's a noisy layout - which you'd expect (or should expect) at a place like this. Prices are on par for a hotel restaurant, except that they're a bit lower than in downtown Aspen. So, it's a relative deal.

Yelp
Meh. Mediocre bbq and kinda pricey. It's a bit out of the way u less you're coming or going from Aspen.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic! We went as a party of 11 and arrived 1 minute before closing but we were still able to dine at the restaurant. The people working at the restaurant were still able to accommodate us and we had a wonderful dining experience. The food was excellent and service was outstanding. Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
This is an awesome restaurant and I'll now tell you why! First thing is my sister called them and they said that 9:00 is the limit we can get there or they will not serve us which is totally understandable, but when we got there we sat down and did like they asked which is choose our food quickly. When we all chose our food the waitress was amazing and nice and came right away, she came with a big smile ready to serve us! I ordered the taco with tomatoes from the kids menu because I just felt like it:) My food was absolutely delicious maybe one thing they could improve is putting less meat because it falls a little. My friend ordered a sandwich and the meat fell out but she got to eat about half of it without it falling i think and she still said that the meat was good either way. Everything was served quickly and we finished our meals in less than 50 minutes with all of our stomachs being full and all with joy. When I have the opportunity, I will definitely come here again and I recommend for you to come here too!

Yelp
Home Team BBQ was surprising delicious! For a hotel restaurant, I didn't have high expectations, but Home Team was pretty awesome. The only complaint I have was that they had us wait 30 minutes for a table to be seated in the hotel lobby at two couches with low coffee tables. It wasn't the end of the world, and I understand that COVID causes restaurants to get creative, but I would appreciated a heads up that this would be our table. If I would've been notified at check in, I would've let the hostess know that we'd rather wait longer for a table/booth in the actual restaurant. Luckily, they moved us to an actual restaurant table after sitting in the lobby for 10 minutes and asked them to. THE FOOD: I'm no expert on BBQ, but what we ordered was quite tasty. - Frozen Irish Coffee: YUMMMMMM - BBQ Nachos with Brisket: So so yummy, we loved the unique toppings and the brisket was cooked really well. - Ribs Platter with Mac n Cheese & Coleslaw: It was all super tasty and we loved that we could taste all of the BBQ sauces! The mac n cheese was perfect and the coleslaw was average, but a great addition the board. We would've loved if there were more Hawaiian rolls included, because they were so good with the meat and slaw. OVERALL: A delicious, hearty meal after a day on the mountain. We will definitely return!

Yelp
It's a little confusing but each platter comes with 2 sides! Great social distancing especially if you can get a seat outside. SLICED BRISKET - delicious. Just upset they don't let you pick between lean/fatty/combo. HALF RACK - delicious rub. definitely more filling than most half racks I've had. MAC FRITTERS - who doesn't love fried mac and cheese balls?! MAC & CHEESE - very heavy on the pepper but was still tasty. SMOKED CHICKEN & WHIE BEAN CHILI - on the soupier side, but the chicken was delicious. Comes with jalapenos and sour cream too. BAKED BEANS - super sweet so watch out. TOTS - delicious! You can add it as a side for 2.75 more but it's a giant portion. BBQ SAUCE - all of them were too sweet for me. I preferred it without the sauce.

Yelp
So glad I listened to a local's suggestion and came here on my way out of town. The wings are a must, they're smoked and huge! So tasty I didn't even use the special white sauce it came with and that's crazy because I'm a sauce person with wings. The Mac n cheese fried balls are also great, deff give it a try. The Mac inside is gooey and they're lightly breaded so it's not so overwhelmingly heavy. These are on a special menu so if you don't see them on the regular menu just ask your server if they have them or for the specials menu too. Great views of Buttermilk, you're at the base area! Great spot to stop in if you're in town and want to see some action but don't want to necessarily be "on mountain". There's a parking lot out front with a lot of parking.

Dan L.

Yelp
The food is excellent and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommend the brisket tacos. Nice place!

Isabella S.

Yelp
I just loooove this place! It's INCREDIBLY convenient to eat here since we were staying at the hotel. We loved the fact that we could go snowboarding one second, eat here, easily walk to our hotel room and be in a food coma, then come back here to eat dinner. The normal ribs, fried ribs, wings, chili, Mac & cheese, grilled cheese sandwich, tomato soup, nachos, pulled pork, and brisket all tasted fantastic! They had a nice selection of sauces too. The normal ribs and fried ribs with their white sauce were my fav! Our male waiter was so kind, friendly, and easy to talk to. He answered all my questions about their menu and was very patient with me. When he was busy with other guests, the other employees easily helped us out with whatever we needed. I'd come back to staying at the hotel just so that I can easily have all my meals in a day from this restaurant! Can't wait to visit again next time I'm in town!

Yelp
The best smoked wings I have ever had. And Iv had a lot! Sliders were amazing as well. Love all the sauces, ranch (amazing), and a must have.. the death relish. Enjoy!
google avatar

Riley H.

Yelp
Try the fried ribs! Delicious BBQ - prefer it over Hickory House. Home Team actually smokes their meats. Great selection of craft beer. Service was a little slow, but it was busy. Great spot to watch skiers on buttermilk or come for apres.

Carol T. V.

Yelp
Everything I ate at this restaurant was dry. From ribs to the burger to them tacos. I did not eat all of those at once but thought I would give it a couple more tries. The service was odd, but OK. The ambience is a little indifferent but I guess if I had had a ton of beer or some wine or a cocktail I would've been cheerier.

Yelp
Holy Mac-n-cheese! The food here was outstanding. For our last meal in Aspen we really wanted to check out Home Team because we'd heard a lot about it and were craving some BBQ. I had the pulled chicken platter with mac-n-cheese and white chicken chili as my sides. The pulled chicken was tangy and flavorful (they use their red sauce on the chicken). The mac-n-cheese was rich and creamy, and one of the best I've had ever, and the soup was enjoyable as well. Others in my group had the BBQ ribs platter and they raved about them. We even had some leftovers for our flight the next day! We had fun trying the different sauces out. My hubby and I decided to get the two frozen drinks on the menu- the Frozen Game Changer (with Grand Marnier float) and the Frozen Irish Coffee. They were both delicious and refreshing. Home Team also had great ambiance. There were lots of people in great spirits after skiing. It has a sports bar vibe with lots of TVs. It sits at the base of Buttermilk near the main lift, at the Inn at Aspen, with a view of the mountain. Right now there's a great view of the X Games setup lit up at night. They don't take reservations, but our party was quickly sat on a Friday night.

Ivan C.

Yelp
Server was a foreign lady named andrijana, who was rude from the start. Food was very cold. Asked for her to heat it and took 30 minutes. The vibes were alright. Even after they took all that time they came back even more cold.
google avatar

Yelp
My fiance smokes meat himself so I trust his taste in BBQ more than anyone I know. I have to say this is some of the best BBQ you can get! The restaurant is inside of a hotel, as soon as you enter the lobby you see the restaurant on the right. There is a giant bar in the center and plenty of TVs. The patio was open and filled with families enjoying the summer day. Right outside the patio was a chairlift! How amazing would it be to ski a full day and ski down for some BBQ... Drool. We were seated inside near the patio, and the first time you notice are 6 different sauces for your meats. We ordered beef brisket, ribs, mac and cheese, and collard greens. The food comes out on a silver tray with a pork rind and a Hawaiian roll. The brisket was delicious and had my fiance's seal of approval. The ribs were super tender and just melted in your mouth and fell off the bone. However, the real star of the show was the collard greens. Yes, I said it! They were juicy, slightly tart, I'm pretty sure they're stewed in something meaty and delicious. I'm salivating thinking about them. We had fun trying all of the different sauces with our meal. What a great and memorable experience. If you make it out to Aspen, make this restaurant a priority to visit! Compliments to the pit masters!

Yelp
Very good. Nice value for Aspen. Service was wonderful. I got a yummy carnitas taco and my husband got the ribs platter; we shared the 4-side platter. Particularly recommended the taco and the brisket chili (a side). Rib sauces are vinegar-based, which may not be everyone's favorite. Would return!
google avatar

Sammi M.

Yelp
I came here for dinner on a Monday evening for an early dinner with my fiance. We were excited to see all the options for meats and then the sides for the platters. We ordered a double meat with smoked turkey and pulled pork and then a platter side. The chili and collard greens were particularly great. I'd say the beans and Mac n cheese were alright, but everything else good. The sauces right on the table were good too! In addition the pricing was reasonable considering the area. I'd recommend a stop in!

Yelp
If you are looking for delicious food and stunning dinner views, this is your spot. The bbq was great and I'm from Austin so I'm very familiar with high quality bbq joints. The view is absolutely beautiful and the service was great. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Don't miss this spot. Best dining views in Aspen.

Irina V.

Yelp
Fast service, fresh and delicious food. Cosy atmosphere and ambiance. We came for a quick lunch in between games, and this place didn't disappoint.
google avatar

Alejandro O.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in Aspen. We came here twice for breakfast and twice for dinner. We tried out the breakfast burrito, huevos rancheros, breakfast sandwich, the brisket sliders, brisket tacos, and fried ribs. Every single item we ordered was extremely tasty and made to order! The fried ribs were my absolute favorite!
google avatar

Denise H.

Yelp
Delicious! Really happy that I listened to a local friend's recommendation to come here instead of an in-town competitor (who'd been on DDD). Everything was absolutely delicious! The pork cracklins - with pimento cheese, who knew?? So good. We had the chopped brisket and pulled pork - both excellent cuts, not fatty as especially brisket can sometimes be. Assortment of 6 bbq sauces to choose from - the sweet red is a sweet vinegary variety - YUM! The Mac & cheese was excellent, the tomato/cucumber salad, the baked beans...everything was at least good, if not very good! One suggestion - IMHO, BBQ calls for cornbread on the side. I mean, I like Kings Hawaiian rolls, but that was the only item that felt mediocre. Will definitely be back!!
google avatar

Wayne G.

Yelp
Overpriced, but what do you expect in Aspen. Meats were good, but requested lean brisket and half of it came inedible with fat. Mac 'n Cheese came out cold, and was told it would take 45 minutes for more. Also, upon getting my check, there was an additional $9 charge above the $25.50 for the two meat platter when you choose sausage and brisket, what a rip off. Drive on by this place is what I'd do if I were you.

Yelp
THIS IS THE BEST BBQ PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO IN COLORADO NO JOKE. I was skeptical also the location is kind of weird inside a hotel but DO NOT LET THAT STOP YOU! The wings: to die for. The sauces: incredible. The Game Changer drink: will change all your games for the better! We then split a mixed board of meats and a few sides (beans.. Mac and cheese.. DELICIOUS.. even the collard greens which I was not supportive of getting were delightful)! Go ASAP for real.

Colin C.

Yelp
First let me thank the whole team at Home Team BBQ for their generosity on Sunday for the private group that came in to eat, your food is delicious, the service is top notch, the server was fantastic and made sure everyone had everything they needed.

Joy S.

Yelp
Located at the Inn at Aspen this place is good for a casual dinner. Been around for a looooong time. The smoked chicken was very good....crisp on the outside and tasty inside. Tomato and cucumber salad salad was delicious with the fresh mint. Brisket slider was good but a little too small as a main dish.

Jackie C.

Yelp
Great food, Cool space, Awesome patio. Would recommend! We got salads and brisket and they were both delicious.

Wink S.

Yelp
Just delicious! Brisket sandwich was so good. Very tender and flavorful. Love the tots!

Yelp
The food was pretty good. I can't talk to any of the meats as I had veggie nachos. They were good; huge portion with a pretty hefty price tag attached. However our service was horrible. Members of our party asked at the start to have their orders on a separate check and were told that that would be easiest to do at checkout. We finished eating, and it took over an hour and two requests to various staff members to get our server to come back by the table with the check (no exaggeration...I had a 3 hour drive back home and was watching the time). When she did, she picked up various assorted items and STILL didn't bring the checks. When she finally came with the check and we started asking abut splitting it as we needed, she said she couldn't split it as we needed. A member of the group asked for the manager. The manager came and had a less than impressive response of "well, IDK what you all ordered to split it up." Luckily others in the group had cash and I ended up paying for the whole meal and them paying me back in cash. Yes, it was faster for members of the group to go get change for big bills from another place in the restaurant and pay me in cash then it was to get any help from the server or the manager. Other tables with other servers received good and timely service. So, it seemed to be an issue with only this one server and the disappointing manager.

Located by the hotel. This food was pretty darn horrible. One of the worst bbq we have encountered. Need to hire people from Texas or Oklahoma to teach them how to bbq. Came with like 10 diff sauces including ranch and all had vinegar in them... what? Grilled cheese had a funny flavor. Kids did not like the Quesadillas. Chicken dry and over cooked. No no no!

Yelp
Great service from "Red" at the bar. The deep fried rib is like crack in food form. He kept my drink full. Cleared my plate as soon as I finished. Attentive without being annoying.

Yelp
The food was beyond good. But, the service was beyond bad!!! An hour after our group finished eating, we had still not received our checks. We asked for them three times. The third time, we got nothing but attitude from are server. Asked to see the manager. He was very indifferent about it. He did finally bring the bill, not separated , as we had requested. There were twelve of us. None of us will ever return. It's so sad because the food and atmosphere were great.

Yelp
Great spot! Classic barbecue, great drinks and awesome service. Pork cracklins were really good, brisket was awesome too.

Yelp
I come here for the fried Mac and cheese balls and the views of the half pipe. That's the best part of all! But for real this bbq is sure worth the stop if your heading to Aspen!
