"Palm’s Caribbean transports Iowans to the tropics, even in the darkest and snowiest days of winter. Cook and co-owner Amara Sama was raised on his stepmom’s Liberian food and his uncle’s Jamaican fare. Both influences make their way onto the menu at this food stand, which serves customers every other week at the downtown farmers market, as well as large events throughout the year, including the weeklong Ragbrai bike ride across Iowa.
