Homegrown Tap & Dough is best known for wood-fired pizzas, but its wings have become a sleeper hit. The kitchen focuses on quality ingredients, offering wings tossed in house Buffalo, garlic parmesan, or spicy Korean sauces. Colorado Community Media and Eater Denver recommend Homegrown for its lively, family-friendly atmosphere and commitment to supporting local purveyors. The vintage ski lodge vibe and rotating craft beers make this a standout for groups and families alike.

We ordered everything on the happy hour menu—and it was all fantastic! Every item was delicious and clearly made with care. The staff was outstanding: friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. You can tell the management runs a tight, thoughtful ship. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!

Tried the Italian Burger, roasted tomatoes, pesto, mozzarela, and balsamic glaze. Sounds weird but it turned out very good, asked for med rare came out med/med well, it happens but it's alright though since the burger was great and all the flavors worked out together. My girlfriend ordered the mushroom pasta, delicious as well, nice sauce. Service was good.

Google
Rather disappointing considering the existing reviews. The food was mediocre at best, the service was acceptable, but not great. The iced tea was incredibly weak and bland, barely stronger than water (the photos show a cola, but not the iced tea, you'll have to trust me on this); the chicken in the chicken parmesan was fine, but the pasta lacked flavor, the gluten-free pizza was oily and had very little toppings, the rustic ranger pizza was okay. Overall, I'd skip this place and try somewhere else; Tap and Dough was a swing and a miss for us.

Google
We had a great time! The kids got to play with pizza dough and the parents got to relax and enjoy really good food and really good beer.

Google
Homegrown Tap & Dough has it all—great atmosphere, killer pizza, and top-notch service. The wood-fired Hot Honey and Pig & Pear pizzas were amazing, with perfect crust and bold flavors. Loved the fun vibe with gondola booths, arcade games, and a solid craft beer list. Great for families, dates, or just grabbing a drink and a bite. We’ll definitely be back! 🍕🍺

My boyfriend and I went to Homegrown in the Wash Park area and I am not exaggerating when I say it is one of the top 3 meals I have ever eaten. We ordered the meatballs for an appetizer and they were outstanding! I ordered the sausage mushroom pasta and I could not stop talking about it. Even the cheese bread I'd give 7 thumbs up. Our amazingly sweet and awesome waitress Ali was a Rockstar and had nothing but positive things to say about her restaurant. I would go back every day if I could afford it. Also, the prices were phenomenal. We would have paid more! See you soon, Homegrown Tap 😃🤗🥰🫡

I only ordered their quinoa salad and it’s very good Totally recommended with salmon I just sat at the bar

First we were seated without silverware. Then our server asked us for drinks and immediately walked away when we were ready to order. Then when my friend ordered an appetizer and proceeded to start his food order the server literally walked away while he was talking. He also had to complain because his soda was flat (which to our server's credit she removed from our bill). When we finally did get to place our order. It was one of the most plain burger patties I've ever had at a sit down restaurant. The charring on it was great but aside of that there was no flavor.

Yelp
Stopped in for dinner while on vacation super kid friendly environment. Pizza came out hot a fresh. Service was great the manager on duty stopped by and greeted us and checked to make sure everything was great! Definitely going to visit again when we visit again!!

Yelp
My family likes to frequent this spot for the patio. My kids also love the arcade room. The food is really good with options for most! I like the salads and pizzas. My husband loves the chicken parm sliders. The service has been hit or miss when we've been there. It's usually fine, but our last visit the service was pretty awful. Waters and drinks were never brought to us and it took a long time to grab the waiter. I am hoping this was just a one off.

Yelp
The truffle fries had great flavor but they were cold when I got them. The grinder was great. Plenty of meat soft bread very cheesy and the aus ju sauce was fresh and flavorful. The dry creek apricot blonde was a nice cold b beverage for the beautiful spring evening. If you get a chance sit outside it's a nice change from being inside a crowded restaurant.

Yelp
Wonderful service, great pizza and clean atmosphere- what more can you ask for! This restore t is extremely kid-friendly, they even bring out dough for kids to play with while waiting for their pizza! I love my crush soft but crunchy and man do they have that perfected! They offer a great lunch special of a side salad and personal pizza for $14. I believe that special runs from 11-2 and is a steal! We will be back!

Yelp
Our group of 7 was seated right away at about 5:30 on a Friday night. Their light and fluffy garlic cheese bread started us right. Pizzas arrived quickly and I'm happy to report their crust hasn't diminished in quality. Service always top notch. Highly recommend.

Yelp
We are here on vacation with friends and stopped in for beer and lunch. We all ordered the special personal pizza with salad. All salads were fresh and tasted great. The pizza tasted really good and we all had a different flavor from their menu. Waitress was very attentive and atmosphere was comfortable. Service was prompt. Great experience and all four of us highly recommend.

Yelp
Great food, and super solid happy hour specials. Dined in around 2pm on a Friday with my wife. The service was terrible lol and they should improve that but at 2pm on a Friday I expect things to be a little slow. Our server was MIA but some other team members were able to take our order, run our food and bus the table. Hope they tip share ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yelp
I've only had beers, cocktails, and french fries here so cannot comment on the food, but everything I've had here was delicious! I was especially happy with the cocktail I got. I don't remember what it is called but it had lavender in it. More so than the food though, the service here has always been perfect. Our server during our last visit, I believe his name is Daniel, was very attentive and personable throughout the duration of our visit there. Finally, the atmosphere is really nice! From the walls, chairs, to the tables, it gives off higher scale restaurant vibes but without the price tag.

Yelp
Great location. Great selection of beer. Friendly service. Easy menu. Pizza is good. Pasta dishes are good. Italian wings are very good. With pepperoni, peppers, and marinara sauce for dipping sauce. Great vibes. Lots of tv's for sports entertainment.
google avatar

Brenna M.

Yelp
My partner and I went here to watch the Detroit lions playoff game. Nice amount of tvs. Wish they played the sound for the games but understand why they don't. It's not a true sports bar. We really enjoyed the food. We got a pizza and the Italian wings which were so different and very good.

Yelp
I have seen many checkins for Tap and Dough and when a friend suggested it in Arvada....I was all over it. The reviews are legit. Homegrown Tap & dough serves really good food and really good beer in a great atmosphere. I server Tyler was great. Salads were fresh and crisp with great ingridients. Would def come back for the pies or sammies

Yelp
We stopped in this place on a short train ride into Arvada. I had an aperol spritz. Hubby ordered me the Brussel sprouts. They were perfect. Unfortunately we didn't have a lot of time to experience more of the menu. We sat at the bar and the staff was friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Fantastic Bloody Mary's. Great cocktails. Killer food. Walked in with a group of 15 people, and their service team absolutely crushed it. Everything we drank/ate was delicious. This restaurant should be proud of their commitment to hospitality.
google avatar

Yelp
2 pizzas & 2 small plates was perfect for a table of 4- we had no leftovers. Could have maybe done another small plate! The brussel sprouts were delicious with the lemon aioli & the potatoes were perfectly crispy. We got the Pete Za because I loveee pineapple. They could have added a lot more! I feel like there was barely any. The pigs & pears was delicious and more unique with a Roasted Garlic Base, Mozzarella, Parmesan, Goat Cheese, Butternut Squash, Candied Pear, Bacon, Arugula, & a Balsamic Drizzle!!

Yelp
If you're looking for a spot with multiple tvs, a drink list for beer and non-beer lovers, and fantastic service, then Tap & Dough is the go-to in Olde Town Arvada! The atmosphere is a very clean, rustic and industrial vibe. It's perfect to watch a game, hangout on the patio with a drink on a sunny day or have a big dinner with friends and family. There is ample seating, both inside and out. The service is attentive, personable and super genuine! Our main server was Danielle, but we had different servers bring out our drinks and food at times. It seemed to work, and the flow of the restaurant seemed well run. Plus, it seemed like every single person we interacted with was in really good spirits. I love to see this when I'm at a restaurant! The food comes out hot and will satisfy your hunger. We opted for the brussel sprouts, pepperoni pizza and funguy pizza but I'm not sure we ordered the best things on the menu. I'd probably try their burger, a salad or the pepperoni rolls. I saw a few come out and they looked really good! I'd happily go here again to see a game and grab an appetizer/drink. Bonus: We had an order come out not 100% right. They happily made it right by taking it off our bill. No ifs, ands, or buts. That's great customer service!
google avatar

Annette T.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday for lunch and it was pretty busy but we were seated right away! We ordered the Funguy pizza and the spicy Italian pizza. They were both good but the meat on the mushroom pizza made it a bit too salty. Due to the salt in the garlic sauce and cheese, I think the Funguy pizza would have been better without the meat. Service was great though and our food came out pretty fast! We also each enjoyed a beer. I'd come back for more beer and to try their margarita pizza!
google avatar

Yelp
I like this place. More of a restaurant bar setting and kinda loud since the place was packed for Friday night dinner but not so bad that you had to scream to converse. The waitress Allie was really nice and helped give suggestions. I got the Italian burger and it was very tasty. The sweet potato fries were also good. Price wasn't bad for the area.

Yelp
After a morning of coffee and shopping in Old Town Arvada, lunch was in order! With the smell of pizza in the air, we made our way to Homegrown Tap & Dough and WOW! STAR #1: Located on the corner of Grandview and Wadsworth, the restaurant is easy to spot, with ample street parking nearby and a spacious patio! The interior is large and inviting with cozy booths, community tables and a lengthy bar! It's giving Après Ski vibes with floor to ceiling windows, outdoor decor and chair lifts throughout! So cute! STAR #2: We were greeted by a nice man at the front, who quickly cleaned off a booth for us before leading us to our table. A few other servers interacted with us throughout our visits - as they seemed to be extremely busy for a Sunday afternoon. Each person we encountered was nice, gave great recommendations for dishes and boxed up our leftovers in a flash! STAR #3: The PIZZA is BOMB! With starving tummies and an overwhelming delicious menu, we opted for quite the spread - 3 pizzas (Funguy, Homegrown and Sausage) and a quinoa salad to share! - The Funguy pizza was my favorite as it featured Roasted Garlic Sauce, Prosciutto, Shaved Parmesan, Fontina, Roasted Mushrooms, Arugula, Truffle Oil - seriously, * chef's kiss *!! Makes for one hell of a photo op as well! - The Homegrown ( Basil Pesto, Artichokes, Sun-dried Tomatoes, Roasted Red Peppers, Kalamata Olives, Mozzarella) was fresh and light, while hitting all the marks! - The Quinoa Salad was loaded with Arugula, Spinach, Almonds, Cucumber, Avocado, Apple, Golden Raisins, Citrus Honey Vinaigrette and absolutely delicious! So refreshing and YUM! STAR #4: Pricing was on point for the quality and quantity of eats we ordered and worth every penny! When in doubt, PIZZA it out at Homegrown Tap & Dough!

Yelp
Great food and service. Games for kids to play. Fun! Good for the whole family. My grandkids loved it! Gluten free items too :-)

Yelp
The meatballs had perfect consistency and moisture. One of the best BBQ chicken pizzas and salads we've had in some time. Creme brulee cheesecake to close us out was just the thing. BRAISED TOMATO MEATBALLS: Tomatoes, Mozzarella, Basil SHAVED BRUSSELS SPROUTS SALAD: Spinach, Romaine, Blue Cheese (On the side since Mrs. @Diningcolorado is expecting!), Walnuts, Apple, Bacon, Cherry Tomatoes, Red Onion, Red Wine Vinaigrette RUSTIC RANGER: BBQ Sauce, Smoked Mozzarella, Chicken, Bacon, Caramelized Onions, Oregano, Green Chili Crème brûlée cheesecake

Yelp
Located in the Olde town Arvada homegrown is a watering hole for many people in the area. We recently had dinner with friends and it was a good time. TVs lined the bar and dining area for playoff football. Atmosphere was great and they had a great selection of beer. The food was average to us. I had the pasta and my gf had the pizza. Their menu was pretty average in selection, typical bar and brewery menu but more Italian oriented. I wouldn't really go here if you want Italian but I had a hard time choosing and opted for the pasta. The mushrooms were actually really good and the sausage was flavorful. The pasta was rather soft and some pieces were closer to mush. It was past the Al dente phase, but this is me nitpicking. The dish overall didn't blow me away, but it was good for the moment. The pizza was average as well. The garlic sauce was strong but I think it would benefit if they added more pear to balance out the flavors. The crust and dough was ok. Typical of many taphouse, crispy but not as fluffy as you would typically get from a true pizza joint. Great place to hang with friends, but wouldn't really go out of my way for food.

Yelp
Great food and great service. The manager and their staff were attentive and willing to take the extra step.

Yelp
We ended up really enjoying the food and drinks here, but jeez, the service was not good from the upper management (no complaints about the servers themselves). We arrived and got seated quickly at an odd inside/outside type table, we were on the barrier of the patio. We had our dog with us and needed something outside but no patio tables were available. Eventually, 2 tables outside became available and we requested to be moved outside but it was the biggest hassle. Keep in mind, we hadn't ordered food yet, only drinks. At first they said they had already assigned those tables to new parties, then they came around to letting us have the outside table but were super adamant about the fact that we would have to change servers and close out our drink tab. They honestly told us like 6 times. And we were totally okay with that! We even suggested that our server keep serving us at our table outside if she wanted. We ended up giving our server a very good tip on just the drinks because we didn't want to have her miss out. We finally got moved but there was no grace or help with moving to the other table - just take all of your own things, even water. The customer service was very poor, which is a shame because the food was actually quite good!

Yelp
Liked this place so much we came twice within 24 hours! Stopped in on a Thursday afternoon, just looking for a little snack to share as we did not get lunch that day and had a dinner reservation for later. We settled on two of the happy hour offerings: individual pepperoni pizza, and fingerling potatoes. Both were really very good, my wife loved her cocktail, and I was looking for a brown ale and their face down brown was spot on. The next day, we stopped in for lunch. Another nice special offering: an individual veggie pizza (you can order any pizza off the menu), and any salads off the menu, four between 12 and 15 bucks. How could you possibly go wrong with that? I had the Italian grinder sandwich, which is braised beef, cheese, gardiniari, and au jus for dipping. I like that a lot. During the week they offer for lunch specials between 12 and two, and a happy hour thing I mentioned above between two and five. Really a great deal. Servers were very pleasant and knowledgeable, and a great recommendations. Only downside with sometimes they would get busy or distracted and forget to bring more ice, etc. But not a big deal. This is not a white table, cloths place, but I went with five stars anyway because they did a great job at what they sit out to do. Really good drinks, really good food, and everything we tried was as good as I could hope for. Winning combination I think !
google avatar

Brianna C.

Yelp
Was super excited for this when I saw the menu. The kids pizza said it came with fruit which to me meant fruit not 2 small cups Of applesauce. That is the reason I gave a 4/5 stars. It was false advertising. We also ordered the homegrown pizza which was really good and I would definitely order again. The veggies to bread ratio was perfect. I'm so glad we found this spot.

Yelp
This place is located in old towne Arvada. They have inside and outside seating. It was a beautiful day, so we sat outside. They had a great pizza and salad special, so we took advantage of that had they Margherita pizza and the roasted beet salad. The pizza crust was slightly thick, but surprisingly crispy. The pizza was so cheesy and I'm saying that as a good thing. The pizza is supposed to be personal size, but after eating the salad, I had leftovers that I ate later on that day cold and it tasted just as delicious. The Venetian spritz cocktail was perfect for my patio dining. It wasn't too sweet and it was refreshing. Our waiter was friendly and efficient. They do have a gondola table inside that is super cute. It's a great picture opportunity. Parking: you do have to park in one of the town garages or the street.

Jerry B.

Yelp
Exceptional service and an outstanding team! The food was excellent, and the bar staff went above and beyond.

Maya L.

Yelp
Had the most amazing meal here. Pizza is so delicious and crispy. We got the fungay pizza and absolutely devoured it. 10/10. Service was great! Gary the manager made sure our experience was amazing. Definitely recommend this place!!

Adara H.

Yelp
The pizza was awesome! Highly recommend this place if you're in the area :) service was fast and friendly and the atmosphere was the perfect vibe

Lee S.

Yelp
Pizza, pasta, sandwiches. At happy hour during the week you can get a salad and great personal pizza. I'm disabled with aphasia and everyone there is outstanding and helping me and make meals incredibly comfortable. The usual Italian food is great. Parmesian, Chicago Beef sandwich, sliders, several choices for pizza. I highly recommend.
google avatar

Madi H.

Yelp
Good happy hour and great pizza and drinks. I loved coming here with my friend to catch up after our work day. The service was fast and friendly, they had good appetizers, and the best part was the personal sized pizza for HH. Good vibes all around. Plus I love old town arvada!

Zack F.

Yelp
Waitress forgot our drinks. Had to flag her down for refills. We asked for ketchup, but never got it. Pizza had almost no sauce on it so it was super hard to eat. It did taste a lot better when we were brought more sauce though. Waitress was really nice, but not very attentive. She, nor anyone else, cleared dirty dishes and glasses from our table, so our table was cluttered. Being a nice waitress doesn't excuse poor service. The restaurant was freezing.

Yelp
Homegrown Tap & Dough is a cool spot for pizza and hanging out with friends in Olde Town. A friend and I recently visited for some pizza and it definitely exceeded our expectations! The menu is pretty streamlined, but you'll find the standard fare you'd expect from an upscale pizza joint, and the pizza options have a good amount of diversity as well as some interesting combinations! I had the Pigs & Pears, and my friend had the Spicy Italian Sausage, and we both found that we like'd the other's better! The restaurant itself is pretty quick with the service, and we were seated quickly (albeit it was a Thursday night). There's a good amount of indoor seating and some good outdoor seating as well -- definitely would recommend stopping by when Olde Town has a performer outside. As with any area in Olde Town, just be aware that parking will likely be a major hassle, especially on a busy day. Overall, I'd definitely recommend Homegrown Tap & Dough!
google avatar

Holly S.

Yelp
We had dry dock apricot blonde ipa and my husband had a beer we decided on the meat lovers pizza hand tossed best pizza I've ever had just a little sauce and a lot of meat. It was fantastic. Really liked the ambience too. I had old lift chairs for seating and an old gondola. Highly recommended.

Deborah L.

Yelp
We visited this establishment at 3 PM last Saturday before going to the movies, so the restaurant was maybe at a quarter capacity. Pizza, very disappointing. Black on the bottom, very few ingredients and almost no sauce. Brussels sprout, appetizer, good. Service, below to average. Had to ask for refills, condiments and more. Never anticipated needs.

Prithvi M.

Yelp
Food and drinks were great. The service was great too and they were doing their best but it was delayed and seemed like they needed more staff especially on a weekend night
google avatar

Jim M.

Yelp
My wife and I just started frequenting this establishment about 3 months ago. I DID leave a previous review, but thought that I would leave another, because they deserve it. We usually visit Homegrown Tap & Dough on Saturdays after running errands. We normally sit at the bar. The bartender, Ashley, who we have come to enjoy is absolutely awesome. Her welcoming smile and genuine concern possesses confidence, a wonderful attitude and personality, and always shows respect for her customers and her fellow staff. We can tell that she takes pride in her appearance and passion for her job. My one concern in a good bartender is one that possesses one basic quality, and that is a great personality, which is a perfect description of Ashley!

Andrew M.

Yelp
My wife and I were in CO for the weekend. We heard about this place from a friend of ours who lives in the state and decided to check it out for lunch before the dodgers taking on the Rockies. First of all, the food is sensational! Good selection of beer on tap and not a difficult menu to navigate. We had a few appetizers and drinks and some pizza and what made this all the better is that the chef brought it out. Chef David checked in on us during our meal and we stirred up conversation over the dodgers. Turns out he's also an LA native and a dodger fan so we loved talking with him. We are already planning our next trip to CO and let me just say that we will be coming back here just because of him!

Yelp
Was in the area so stopped in for lunch. Good chicken parm sliders and pizza. Service was good too. We were apprehensive as the one down south was horrible. Guess it goes to show staff matters.
google avatar

Carl H.

Yelp
I went here with my family and wanted to have a great time meeting some new members of the family. We ordered a lot of food and drinks and had a good time. The problem was I paid and the server came back and said to my wife that "there was a problem with the payment." This made no sense but she paid with a different card. Both charges went through there was no issue so I paid over $300 for their mistake. It's embarrassing that they said there was an issue with my payment (there clearly wasn't I was charged) and frustrating that now I have to go dispute charges. I expect better training and customer service.

Yelp
Honest review? Just not very good . I wish it was better but I've been 3 times and that's enough for me .

Todd O.

Yelp
Have been big fans of Homegrown for years. BUT. Last night. Took 15 min to get a table? Wasn't very busy as it was late. Took another 10-15 min to get a drink. Out of the beer I ordered. Fine. But, 20-30 min from walking in to getting a drink? Completely understaffed. Manager came over and basically argued with me about whether or not they were understaffed? Food was spot on like normal, but took 45 min to get to the table? Pretty disappointing.
google avatar

Amy H.

Yelp
Love this place! The pizza dough is on point- that is why it's in the name! The meatball appetizer is fantastic too! Service is always good.
google avatar

Jenny-Rose K.

Yelp
Homegrown is a great atmosphere itself but there is a big difference in the 2 spots. The food is wonderful, but service at wash park versus the Arvada Tap and Dough is a huge downside. Both offer a dog friendly outdoor space and usually have heat lamps. The last two times we have gone they have been out of propane so if it's chilly and you are looking to enjoy the early spring, call ahead. This location has a super small area for outdoor seating (4 maybe 5 high tops). Inside this spot is very cool with a lot of interesting and unique aspects like a gondola in the back and chair lift seats. The pizzas are great, especially for high altitude. I would say the biggest reason I took off stars is I haven't had a server who was very attentive or kind at this location. I will say the bar has the best service and after 3 visits I would only recommend eating in versus take out!

Yelp
We popped in on a First Friday at about 7:30p and were seated right away. We got to sit by the kitchen and bar. Great seats! Pizza rolls were to die for. The brussels and meatballs were also amazing. We both got salads (brussels and beet) and both were spot on. I enjoyed a hot toddy, which was probably the best I have had. Service was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. We can't wait to be back.

Tianna M.

Yelp
Best customer service experience in the area. Amazing food for a very reasonable price. David the kitchen manager was excellent, came around greeting and checking in with the whole dining room. Hannah our server really made our night, couldn't have asked for a better waitress! Highly recommend!!!!

Dennis T.

Yelp
My wife and I went to HTD for lunch today and we usually share a sandwich and we each have a house salad. Wait staff was friendly and accurate. The food was delicious! We shared an Italian Grinder. It was very well seasoned and cook perfectly. The chuck roast reminds you of eating brisket. The serving was enough for two if you are into eating light lunches. We will be recommending HTD as well as going back for more.
google avatar

Melanie M.

Yelp
I was visiting and came here after seeing the great reviews. The service here was excellent! The food was as well but after dinner my mom and I were very thirsty from the food. We both loved our food. She got the Italian burger and I got the pig and pears pizza.

Yelp
Saturday morning stroll through olde town in Arvada and decided to have lunch and catch a few football games. Food was good and service was quick and plenty of TVs. They messed up the pizza order but brought us out a replacement very quickly. We had to move tables also because there was cold air blasting out of a vent directly above us. After moving and getting the right order, it was a great lunch and enjoyed the atmosphere for watching games.
