Used to be a wine shop, but now they have added seating and a kitchen for a restaurant as well. The restaurant and wine shop areas overlap, so there's a chance you'll be eating while people browse the wine next to you. Food is really great tasting. Based on the menu, it seems like they might be trying to get a different "chef residency" every once in a while. Service is ok. The staff is trying at least. The menu has specific wine recommendations for each course, but they don't make an effort to bring the wine and the food at the same time. While I was there, the back door to patio area was left open a few times. This was on a cold, December night and made it uncomfortable until we asked for the door to be closed.

Ate last night at the new Lucy Timm residency and it was so so good. The food was perfect - beautifully presented and so tasty. It was a soft launch, but there were no signs of teething problems - staff were friendly and service was excellent. It was busy and there was a lovely atmosphere. We've loved home tipple since it opened, so hoping that this new expansion is a great success.

Dinner at this newly opened restaurant was amazing. A simple rotating menu of seasonal ingredients with small plates and mains as well as desserts. All the menu selections show suitable wine pairings. The wine list is succinct but they also have an elaborate and extensive selection of wines on shelves to meet every palate and budget. The food was exquisite, clean and flavorful. No two dishes tasted similar. Each had a distinct flavor. Don’t forget room for dessert. The service was excellent, casual and friendly. The baguettes were as good as any Paris. Lots of vegetarian choices. Great place to eat alone or with family and friends. A wonderful place to take a date.

Great food, fresh ingredients well cooked. Interesting menu choices and wine pairings for each dish including desserts. Service was very friendly and efficient even though it was a busy Saturday evening. Pleasant setting with tables well spaced.

Mikey and the team at hometipple are amazing hosts and the shop is going from strength to strength. We love the choice in wines and spirits, can’t recommend the wine tastings enough and now they’ve expanded and are doing amazing food too!!! Who wouldn’t want to have one of the best dining experiences in the area whilst drinking delicious, hand picked and well priced wine. Well worth a visit.

Lovely evening yesterday at Home Tipple. The food was delicious. High praise for the friendly staff, so knowledgeable about wine and made us most welcome. Look forward to another visit soon.

Went for lunch on Friday and it was delicious. Wonderful staff, delicious wine and a lovely atmosphere. My friend and I both loved it and we can’t wait to go back.

We have always loved hometipple for some great wine recommendations and now we love it even more, with the refurb and food offer. Really recommend for yummy food, friendly service, and delicious wine. A must visit!
