An excellent addition to the village. We went here for lunch with our two year old and the staff were most accommodating in providing adequate setup. I had the lamb chop, my wife had the chicken caesar. The lamb chop was phenomenal, the fat rendered down in full allowing its flavour to permeate the rest of the meat, still perfectly nice and pink inside absolutely top chefsmanship. This came with a green salsa which complimented it beautifully. The right balance of bitter herbs, cooked through an unfaultable base salsa. The side of roast rosemary potatoes I cannot speak more highly of. It felt like a special portion of home cooked roasties just for my plate. They were crispy, had the perfect amount of rosemary on them, provided the exact right contrast of texture for the lamb and I couldn't help but try them with the green salsa as well which brought it all together. Side of zucchini fries were great, sizeable portion, well battered but not lacking some original zucchini texture and flavour. Our daughter was perfectly happy with her pasta which was served quick and already cut up prepared for a toddler. Front of house all very pleasant and make you feel welcome and attended to. Definitely coming back as its a changing menu and makes me very excited to see what is next

Good service and also service that lets you get on with the meal and this creates a nice flow to the occasion. And good choice of music as well. Food was lovely, all ingredients seemed very fresh and a lot of thought was put into the flavours and textures. The Malfatti was amazing, rich, tasty sauce with fresh peas that complimented it well. Marinated trout, tomatoes with goats cheese and the cuttle fish were also outstanding. The cuttle fish broth was incredible!

Wine by the glass selection is fabulous and nice to have the pairing suggestions with the menu. Highly recommend.

A lovely bar and restaurant in Walthamstow, with a regularly changing series of kitchen residencies from great chefs. The place is like a tardis - from the outside it looks like a wine shop (which it is), but once you get beyond the counter it opens out into a beautiful restaurant, with lots of natural light. The current menu - by chef Marie Mitchell - is excellent. The fish dishes are particularly good!

Came here for a sunday roast, and everything was amazing. The heirloom tomato starter was so tasty, and we loved the cheese plate too. And you must order the warm bread with butter! We had a beef roast and the pork belly with a side of cauliflower cheese to share and both were incredible. The best roasts we've ever had. The basque cheesecake was the perfect dessert too. Billy is an amazing chef, will be looking out for his next residency. We'll be back!

Absolutely amazing food! I have been twice and really loved the chicken milanese and the lamb chop. The staff is very friendly. Just a quick walk from the Victoria line. Will be back soon!

Lovely varied menu offering good choice, from only a few picks, showing the ingredients are high quality, with imaginative menu-making. Service was great, wine options plenty and the wine pairing a great guide. Ambience was warm, we were amazed it wasn’t busier on a Saturday lunchtime because it’s all so good and it should be packed!
