Chicago’s Upcoming Restaurants and Bars to Know, Fall/Winter 2022 - Eater Chicago

"Carmela Wallace, mother of late rapper Jarad Higgins, known to the public as Juice Wrld, on Friday broke ground on a new brewpub at 18225 Dixie Highway in near suburban Homewood, according to the Tribune. Wallace tells reporters that Homewood Brewing Co. will be a tribute to her son, who died shortly after his 21st birthday in December 2019. She’s aiming to open the 18,000-square-foot space in late 2024 in the former home of Bogart’s Charhouse." - Naomi Waxman

My husband and I recently visited Homewood Brewing Company, and it was a delightful experience! The ambiance was fantastic - bright, open, and decorated with cool art that added character to the place. The staff was friendly and provided prompt service throughout our meal. Now, let's talk about the food - it was simply delicious! The cod bites, fish stew, and "Not Your Mama's Meatloaf" were hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. Each dish was a delightful treat for our taste buds. I'm already looking forward to returning, especially to try out the outdoor patio or the upstairs bar with TVs. The cool and chill vibe upstairs was just what we needed for a relaxing evening out. Homewood Brewing Company definitely left a positive impression on us, and we can't wait to come back for more good food and good times!

Definitely Indefinite

Google
The chicken Florentine soup is amazing, so good I didn't get a chance to take a picture. The crab cake and wings are also great appetizers. The chicken sandwich is delicious, but I don't care for the relish on it. The chicken sandwich is juicy and flavorful throughout. The French fries that come with it... Best in all of Chicago land. The roasted chicken dinner and the gravy that comes with it... Highly recommended! Pass on the boudin. Excellent service, would love if the bar had more options. Wonderful atmosphere and very fun staff.

This was definitely an experience. Let me say from entering and needing a reservation and not having one they still took care of us. Maria was the greeter and she made us feel welcome andddd got us seated quickly. Now let me brag on Cam.... Cameron was absolutely the best server I've come in contact with for a while. He made several food and drink recommendations and babeeee he was dead on point! The stew was amazing and my Hennything is possible was good too. He took such good care of us and those at our table. He sent the homemade chips as a courtesy and made sure he brought ice cream and brownies for the birthday ladies. I can't say anything I had was bad. All of it was good. Although the boudin balls were small they were good. But the paste on them wasn't that great, maybe the roumelade that was on the crab cake should be put on there. Overall the stars were shining with the staff especially Cam and he contagious smile.... I will come back.

Had my bday dinner there 05/02, just fantastic! The meatloaf was outstanding but the smoked wings babeee, that was the star of the show! Deep smokey flavor juicy and tender to the bone, REAL mashed potatoes and I really don't care for collards but these were from down South good. Just a great place for dinner or just hanging at the bar absolutely beautiful inside and out. This is a place for grown folks!

I loved everything about Homewood Brewing Company. The art and decor give the space a modern but warm atmosphere. The hospitality was exceptional, and the food was everything. We ordered the smash burger, the po’boy and the greens, and everything was delicious. The beers are the star of the show with over ten beers brewed in house and on tap; there’s something for everyone. I highly recommend paying a visit!

I had an awesome birthday celebration! Karen was the best she even got us a guided tour of the Brewery with Cam. We even met Ms. Carmela and she was really nice and took pictures with us. The food was great. I loved the beer battered cod bites, smoked wings, and that Rum punch! Thank you for a great day! I’ve affectionately renamed the restaurant Juice-worlds!! We will be back!

Google
Nice spot, spacious. You can tell they put some money into the place. The food was pretty good too. We had the boudin balls app and it was crunchy and savory rounded out well by the relish. The brisket had a good bark and a good pull. Honestly, pretty good and it's hard to find a good brisket. The chicken sandwich was really good too, dark meat in a well seasoned dredge fried perfect. The seafood stew wasn't a stew consistency at all. Not bad, not great but not bad. The beers were good too. Support local business and go in and grab one

Google
A decent place. We went in the early afternoon. So they only have a limited menu. From 2pm to 4 pm. After that, they go back to a full menu as well as valet parking and free pictures when you walk in. The staff were friendly. It's a spacious place. The food was good. The drinks were great. We will definitely come back again. They even suggested you go upstairs to view the hand painted mural. Definitely worth a stop in.

Yelp
When I moved to the Far South Suburbs, several friends had given me a recommendation for checking out Homewood Brewing Company. I am almost a full year of living in the suburbs, and I finally decided to follow through on the recommendation. I went one evening after work in the middle of the week. It was not a full house, as I imagine it would be on the weekends, so I sat in the bar area. It has a spacious floor plan, and seating is spaced out enough to accommodate a crowd without having everyone feeling cramped. For a cocktail, I started with a Manhattan. My hat goes off to the bartender because I slept well after I got home. For my first landing, I had the Creole black bean hummus. That came with grilled pita and julienne vegetables of carrots, celery, and bell pepper. That was a good choice since it was light enough that I was not full going into the next course, but it was flavorful enough that I had no problem finishing all of it. My second landing was a bowl of seafood stew. Aside from the mention of curry, it reminded me of moqueca de peixe, which is a popular Brazilian dish. While there was a nice flavor, it was still kind of light. Given there was coconut milk in the recipe, it was thin and came with no hint of coconut from the milk. There was a salad of herbs that came with the stew. The cilantro and mint would have worked being in the dish rather than as a bouquet on the side. My final landing was bread pudding with a passion fruit toffee glaze. It came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I also had coffee as an accompaniment. I would have liked for the bread pudding to have been hot, not just a notch warmer than room temperature. Nevertheless, I was not disappointed. I am not one for beer at all, and I am not one for having multiple cocktails away from home because I am a lightweight. Homewood Brewing Company seems like the kind of place that does beer and cocktails rather well. I noticed that they have patio seating, so I may return during warmer months for a seat outside. Overall, my first dining experience was not disappointing.

Yelp
This review was hard for me to do because I was really rooting for this establishment. Came here with a friend on Feb. 19th, 2025 to participate in Chicago Black Restaurant Week as this was a featured restaurant. The outside of the restaurant looked nice and there is a private lot with ample parking. Walked in and a friendly young lady at the front counter seated us and explained the menu along with telling us that there was a second level with a pinball machine which excited me. Inside the restaurant is a MASSIVE and beautifully created space. There is black art inside. There is a great selection of soul music playing which we enjoyed while dining. You can tell the place is fairly new. When asked, Samuel our waiter told us the restaurant opened in October, 2024. We started off ordering drinks. Rum Punch was on the menu which is a bit unique for a restaurant to offer so I decided to try it. I had to send it back as it wasn't sweet or tasted like any alcohol was in it. I instead got a lemondrop martini which is a favorite drink of mine. It was better than the rum punch but I definitely have had better of that particular drink. We ordered our food from the Restaurant Week menu. We noticed that it took awhile for both our appetizer and main entree to come out. When it did, the server apologized each time for the delay. While I appreciated that, I have noticed that it's a common complaint expressed on Yelp reviews. It would be different if the food was worth the wait but unfortunately, it wasn't. The boudin ball appetizer I didn't like but that was my first time trying that dish so it may have been just personal taste. The muffuletta skewers had a bit too much deli meat and cheese on it. There were minced olives on the sandwich that gave a strong flavor to it that wasn't favorable to me. The shrimp and grits were okay - grits were not creamy like they should be and the entree was salty. My friend had the roast chicken that came with potatoes that were purple for some reason and sauteed green beans. She expressed that her meal was meh so we went from being excited for our meals to come to being both disappointed with our food. The restaurant was closing soon so Samuel encouraged me to place my requested take out order ASAP so I ordered the Cornmeal fried shrimp for my hubby. It came with seasoned fries. Even that wasn't a winner - the fries were not crispy and hubby said the entree was just "okay" which I know means it wasn't that good. Our waiter Samuel never checked on us during our entire meal. When I told him prior about the rum punch not being good, he asked "Well, what's wrong with it?" when I had already expressed that it wasn't sweet or strong enough. There was another black male waiter who we wished we had had instead because he was so friendly and personable to the table next to us. The chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich dessert was okay. It would of been better if the cookies were warm. All in all, the venue is phenomenally built. The room with the clear glass to see where all the new big brewing equipment is from the outside is a sight to see! It would be great for tours to be offered. I'm sure this new venue needs time to get all the kinks out of their new business. We didn't view the 2nd floor - staff had already turned all the chairs on top of the tables to indicate they were closing (which I didn't like since we were still dining at the time). I'm personally hoping they succeed and make the necessary improvements needed.

Yelp
If you don't know about this place, it is infact a brewery opened by the mother of Jarad Higgins (Juice Wrld). The food is as amazing, and I'm not just saying that to be bias. The service was excellent... food was on time, Cameron was over the top happy to be there and never missed an opportunity to ask us how we were. My only complaint is the music change about halfway through :( They were playing Juice Wrld and similar artists for the first half of our visit and I thought that was honorable for sure. Make sure to check out the Juice Wrld mural upstairs!!! We are from Iowa, about 4 hours away, and we will make the drive again and again just to get us some Homewood 999

Yelp
Came here with my wife and 3 friends. Although we were seated immediately and got our drinks within 15 or so minutes, it took over an hour to get our food. Our waiter even said 20 minutes after ordering that our food would be out shortly. Little did we know, it would be another 40 minutes. In the end, the fries were good, but my crispy chicken sandwich ended up just warm.

Yelp
Come for the beer but do not stay for the food. A few of my friends and I met up here after a nice hike and waited over an hour and half for our food. The food was less than par to be honest. I ordered the house salad with a sweet vinaigrette which it did not taste like it at all! The food came out somewhat cold for others in a party and there really wasn't anything that stood out to me that was good but the beer! I absolutely love the beer however! The ambiance is this place is great. It should also be noted then menu is very small as well. Not much to choose from!

Yelp
The Food was great, the drinks were great, and the service was great. I visited while it was fairly new so yes there are still some kinks that requires some attention but overall it's going to be a great location to dine and catch a cool breeze in the rooftop. The ambiance is everything, super huge spacing and great art work on the walls, indoor and outdoor in the warmer months. I absolutely can't wait to return.

Yelp
What a great new addition to the Homewood community! I didn't expect this place to be so big, and it was nicely decorated and clean inside. They have a wide variety of drinks, such as beers, IPAs, and cocktails, to choose from. They also have a few games to play on the second floor, as well as an outdoor patio, which will be great to sit out at when the weather is on the warmer side. Throughout the restaurant, they have various types of seating, giving it a very comfy vibe. Server had a lot of recommendations and was very accommodating. She was quick to grab all of our drinks. There was even a free photo booth that a different worker was manning!

Yelp
This was a tough review to write. 1. Building is gorgeous and clean. Many bathrooms are available. 2. We were a party of 5. As we did not have reservations , we were offered a community table in the bar area (plenty of chairs and space) 3. Beer is available in 3 different sizes (4 if you count wanting to fill a crowler). Two 4 oz pours that I tried were very tasty. 4. My group all ordered food items. It took 1 hour and 15 minutes for these items (no joke). There was no communication that kitchen was backed up, wait times, etc. We had to ask for utensils and napkins as well. Food was decent, but after the long wait I was pretty annoyed. 5. Chairs were a little uncomfortable. If I were to return it would only be for a beer at the bar.

Yelp
We've been anxiously waiting for Homewood to open and finally had a free day to make the trek from the city to check it out. I'm a huge beer snob, so anytime a new brewery opens I go in with low expectations as I've come to find out it's incredibly difficult to open up a brand new brewery and instantly churn out great beer. Homewood was the exception of this. The sheer variety they have on draft is exceptional and they nailed almost every single beer I tried. If you are into hazies, the tropic drizzle and experiment #09326 are a must try. I would dare say these compete with any other brewery in Chicago as ranking in the best IPAs in the city. Moving on, the wishing well was a fantastic bohemian Pilsner. Super crisp and crushable. I would have had 3-4 of those if there weren't so many other beers to try. On the darker, maltier side, the flip this home and LO Guvna were excellent. I'd highly recommend to try the LO Guvna with the woodruff syrup. I had this on nitro draft and it was perfect for the cold weather. The kitchen was closed for an hour during the mid day (3-4pm) so we didn't order food. So can't speak to that right now, but also means we will have to visit again. Thanks Homewood for saving us a seat!

Yelp
I will definitely be back! My husband and I were looking to support a LOCAL black owned business for date night, and I am happy to say this is an establishment we will continue to support again and again. The food was absolutely AMAZING, we came for the food and we'll keep coming back for the food. Upon entry we were immediately greeted with a smile and seated after just a few moments. APPETIZERS: For starters I got the cod bites. They use really fresh cod and pair it with this fresh remoulade and seared lemon. The batter outside was fried to perfection and the inside was juicy, flaky, and flavorful. Nice portion size too. 10/10 BEER: The mangolorian was my beer of choice for the night and I'd give it a solid 10/10. I didn't think I'd like my beer with mango and coriander but my husband convinced me to try something new and it was worth trying and worth every drop. ENTREES: I got the crab cake dinner, and it did not disappoint!!! 10/10. The crab cakes were stuffed with a lot of fresh crab meat, and cooked just perfectly. You get your money's worth for the portion size too because these things are huge! It comes with an arugula salad with juicy sun dried tomatoes. If made available I'd even buy the salad on its own. My husband got the brisket and he hasn't stopped talking about it since. It was very tender, the temperature was just right, and the sauce was very good. He paired that with the Mac and cheese and bbq baked beans. Both were very good. The Mac and cheese came in a mini cast iron ramekin with bread crumbs perfectly crisp on top. 10/10 DESSERT: Definitely get the tiramisu brownie. Don't even think about it, just get it. 10/10 SERVICE: Awesome service! From the time we arrived to the time we left we were served with kindness and in a timely manner. They were really busy that night and even though our server was waiting on a big birthday party she was really attentive and continuously checked on us. We were treated like our business matters here. I love what they are doing here. I hope this brewery continues to grow and becomes a staple in this community for many years to come.

Yelp
Great new brewery that just opened not long ago. It's a huge 2 level place, with bars on each floor. They have a wide selection of beers, of all the big styles. I tried most of the IPAs there, and even got a crowler to go. All of them were really good. They also have a full kitchen. I got the fried chicken sandwich along with a side of side chips. Both very good. Bartenders on both levels were really cool. They have a big parking lot in back, and also offer valet parking. It can get pretty crowded on a weekend, it was on the Saturday we went, so try and get a reservation if you can. Or if you want to just sit at the bar that's fine too. Though I do believe you can only order food on the first floor. I'm very glad this opened and I got to check it out, and I certainly hope to return some day.

Yelp
HBC is a nice vibe for the Homewood area. I want to first start off by saying this place is brand new so they have a few growing pains to get through, especially when it comes to service. Overall, the ambience of this place is really nice for a date night or family dinner gathering. On this particular night we were there for a college graduation celebration and we had a large group of 16 people. The Kitchen struggled bringing all our meals out Simultaneously so that we could all eat together. For instance, they brought out my side dish first and I had to wait another 20 minutes for my main meal, which was cold when it arrived. Also, they messed up our table reservations we booked ahead. We were sat in another area, but it was just a little tight and uncomfortable for our size group so they did extend another table near us. I did want to comment that the wait staff was very kind, patient and accommodating to us as they knew aware we have waited a long time for our meals. But let's get into the food which was absolutely delicious as it's more upscale than your average bar food offerings. The menu is sort of Cajun-Louisiana southern variety but still have your usual mix of burgers & sandwiches but with more foodie flare. For appetizers we tried the boudin balls & beer battered cod fish bites and both were very good with flavorful homemade dipping sauces. For dinner meals we ordered a variety of dishes; the shrimp and grits, HBC smash-burger, Cajun corn fried shrimp & fries, meatloaf & potatoes, and seafood stew which were all very well prepared and came to the table hot with good serving size. For sides we ordered the greens and mac & cheese. I absolutely enjoyed the greens. They were tasty and seasoned to perfection, not too spicy. I can eat that all day. However, the mac & cheese was just okay and fell flat. It was little dry and did not have that cheesy consistency that you normally like, but it had decent flavor & nice bread crumb texture. It just needed more milk/butter/cheese sauce silkiness. Can you tell I love mac & cheese? LOL :-) I almost forgot about the beer selection that was really impressive for this size brewery. Our table tried several beer varieties and we actually took home a growler that they provide in cans. My hope is that the service improves over time with menu items but overall this is a great place to try out for good beer & dinner folks!

Kersha R.

Yelp
I've finally checked out this new gem and so far I am impressed. When you walk in, the staff greets you. I've went during the kick off of dinner. Their spin on French 75 is amazing and I recommend the Shrimp and Grits dinner which is made from scratch! It gives that Deep South vibe home cooked meal. The ambiance is amazing along with the artwork. Much love to gentlemen that takes a free photo. It feels like a mini photo shoot. As for service, the service is great. However, my server TC in my opinion needs to be attentive. It appears that she is more open to a regular. It took another barmaid to place my order and I even tipped her. I give them a pass because I assume that they all are working together as a team. Would I come back? Of Course!

Yelp
Desperately want to give Homewood 5 stars but service needs to be addressed. We arrived around 2:45 on a Sunday and sat at the bar. We were informed that the kitchen is closed between 3-4pm for a break before reopening for dinner. So we arrived at a bad time but no big deal we'll just drink until 4pm. Bartenders were very friendly and provided recommendations based on our preferences. All of the beer we tried we were impressed with! However once the clock struck 4pm there was a staffing turnover and they seemed very short staffed as they got busier. It was hard to order another drink let alone food, so we decided to scrap the plan and just close out. We will definitely come back at a time when the kitchen is open!

Yelp
The menu options were limited at the moment. I placed an order for a quarter beer chicken, greens, and mashed potatoes. The chicken was cooked well and not dry, but it lacked flavor. The greens were delicious and cooked with turkey meat. The mashed potatoes were basic. I also ordered the strawberry Hennessy, which was enjoyable. I had another drink as well, but the alcohol content was not very strong, which was not surprising. I am not a beer drinker, but since this is a brewery, I decided to try two 5oz fruity beers. I cannot recall the names, but they were satisfactory. The establishment is brand new and, as expected, it is quite nice. There are two floors, making it a great place to relax and socialize. I will return for the drinks. The service was good, and I recognized some of the employees from other local establishments, which was a pleasant surprise.

Donna M.

Yelp
AMBIENCE: REALLY VERY NICE. FOOD: Limited Menu. Very limited. Tasty enough. SERVICE: We would have just left had we not been already placed our beverage order. When a server never once looks at you, disappears after your order, and food runners deliver your food...eventually, to me is not great experience. Never checked on our satisfaction once. When we did have to summon "him" for another beverage, he came to the table immediately placing the blame on someone else saying "what did they mess up"? Actually, he did. We were thanked ONLY by a hostess as we were leaving. One can tell this place was built in love and tribute to someone. It's a creative and upscale environment that we may only return for cocktails, or maybe dessert.

Yelp
What a beautiful space, the mural is amazing. The menu needs more of a variety. More appetizers and food choices. The drinks were good, and so was the service. Love that money gets donated if you purchase the special beer. Will have to try it again.

Yelp
Great ambience. The food is delicious. Please get the biscuit you won't regret it. The crab cake was very good. Friendly staff and owners.

Yelp
Another great experience at HBC tonight! Great service from Katie, wonderful atmosphere, and delicious food and drinks!
google avatar

Angelina I.

Yelp
Glad they finally opened! It's very nice and modern with some fun artwork inside. Beautiful mural on the patio upstairs and some pinball machines inside. Variety of drink options that everyone liked. I would come back to try the food, everything looked good but the kitchen was running behind and closed early.

Catrena L.

Yelp
Food,Service and ambiance was Great!! Will return again. Cod was light and crunchy and taste fresh and good. Order Portabello mushroom sandwich. My first time ordering a meatless sandwich and it was really good

Cindy B.

Yelp
The place is amazing! Decor is very nice! I've been trying to get here from the time it opened. My friend and I went there yesterday and sadly to say the chicken thigh sandwich was not good at all. But the cheeseburger was decent. The menu was small but as I read the reviews I see they have a full menu after 4:00. So I will give it another shot.
google avatar

Lindsay Z.

Yelp
Just wow! We had to wait just a bit for a table, not a surprise for walking in on a Saturday. We went to the upstairs bar, got to play some pinball. Really good start to the evening. Beers were excellent, I really enjoyed the porter colab with Flipside. Every single person that worked there was incredibly nice and attentive. The space is large but feels really comfortable and stylish. The food, man, the food was so, so, so good. Every single thing was excellent. My parting advice is don't skip the biscuit, because that is the best biscuit I have ever had. Can't wait to come back! Thank you for a terrific experience.

Jim S.

Yelp
I love the place good ambiance love the food. Good quality beer. Servers are fantastic. Love the trains outside and the model trains inside. Only 1 thing the parking!!!!!!! Ugh. Get ready to walk and walk.
google avatar

Yelp
First time here... Pretty good food. Nice music and atmosphere. We had smash burgers and shrimp. The desert was good. Chocolate brownie.
google avatar

Peggy M.

Yelp
Food is outstanding. We split a crab cake and nearly licked the plate clean. We both had the brisket with a side of barbecued red beans which are deliciously spicy! We split an order of the smoked cheddar grits--to die for!! He had the Christmas stout; I had the Homewood for the holiday rum drink(s) and we split the bread pudding and the cafe au lait brownie. We didn't have a reservation (as originally they didn't take them) but we were seated quickly. Cameron was our server and he is epic!!! Beautiful place; lots of families and folks just enjoying themselves. We will be back!!
google avatar

Val G.

Yelp
This place is very cute and everyone was so nice. The service was good but SLOWWW. The beers were super tasty but... I Would wait several months to come here unless you are willing to wait 2+ hours for mediocre food. The beers were great, the food was somewhat good. I did like the beers. The wait time for food and dessert was pretty bad tho. Lots of people working there just standing around waiting... the mac and cheese was dry and not good at all. Fries were not good. Meatloaf was tasty. And the busser took my beer away before I was done SMH....
google avatar

Sharon B.

Yelp
Heard a lot of good things about this place. My husband and I were driving by and decided to give it a try. Great ambiance, great service, great food and plenty of free parking! Cajun fried shrimp, cheese grits, buttermilk chicken sandwich and carrot cake with carrot cake ice cream. Delicious!

Nicoya Y.

Yelp
First of all the service is extra slow 2 hours slow and we get the smash burger it comes out this mangled peppery mess I would never come here again. As small as the lunch menu is there's no way it should be that slow. Nice place but you will be looking at it a long time!

Alyssa M.

Yelp
Excellent first time at Homewood Brewing Company. We came with a large group to watch the Bears game. They had no problem accommodating our group and we had a super attentive server. The facility is beautiful with delicious food and wide range of beers. Pricing is on point and affordable, a steal for the quality they are providing. Can't wait to see this worthwhile business grow as hopefully more people come to realize what a gem this is. Will definitely come again, would like to check out the second level with its own bar, pinball machines, and rooftop seating.

B B.

Yelp
What a beautiful venue. Can't wait until summer to sit on the roof top. Quality of the food was excellent. The beer was good. The menu needs to a couple more vegitarian options. Children loved their menu items. With a few minor tweaks this place will earn 5 stars. I thought that the food was a bit pricey.

Joseph B.

Yelp
Great experience. Food was top notch. Fresh, hot, creative, filling. Everything you are looking for. Great staff friendly and competent. Will be back!

Melissa A.

Yelp
Couldn't get seated because host station staff were incompetent and didn't to add us to the wait list. Guess we'll be waiting a while for their staff to get trained well enough to do their jobs.

Charlene J.

Yelp
I give 3 stars only because our server, "Karen", was nice and apologetic. The service is SLOW. We waited nearly an hour for 2 shrimp po'boys, one fried shrimp and one chicken sandwich. We arrived a little after 4---the evening rush hadn't arrived. The area is brightly lit like a hospital cafeteria with IKEA furniture to match. More high tables & zero full service booths. The waitstaff is inexperienced but eager. We noticed an older woman arrive with a group and she actually had a seat cushion since the chairs are so uncomfortable. We asked to say hi to the owner who obliged but she seemed disinterested, guarded and unwelcoming. She did ask about our experience and we informed her we had been waiting a while. She made excuses which is a no-no in the service industry. She claimed they were busy but it wasn't even 6 pm. Won't be back. The food was quite average and the hummus was embarrassingly bland. How can you ruin hummus?

Yelp
A beautiful place in all ways. The building is beautiful, the staff is kind and the food was great, and the beer was great as well.

Yelp
The staff was so welcoming and friendly. Our server was so attentive and explained the beer list and suggested great starters. The boudin balls were amazing! Great atmosphere and setting for just drinks or full menu! Love the free pins and stickers. We'll be back! Love the story behind the brewery and hope they enjoy many years of success! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Got to experience this place twice so far the first time I came it was during the day time and I got to try a few of the different beers and I really enjoyed the music it was a very nice atmosphere the second time I came at night time and the girl who served me at the bar was named Emma I belive and to be honest she was just a bit to much ! I asked her to make me a Long Island and to please add more tequila instead of vodka because that's how I like to drink my long island's personally and I guest she thought it was funny to joke about my drink to her other guest that was sitting next to me and said out her own mouth "Dang girl who hurt you tonight " and her and her guest next to me laughed about it ! Personally I didn't see what was so funny about me just asking her to make my drink the way I preferred it . Even my first drink I asked her to please shake my amaretto sour and she was letting another guest know " I have to shake this girls amaretto sour for her " but I felt as if she was trying to be funny about it or something which once again I really don't understand why she felt she needed to keep talking about the way I wanted my drinks made to her guest literally sitting right next to me ! She was a bit too much for me ! I will return but I will make sure she's not the one serving me because if I ask for my drinks to be made a certain way there's nonthing funny about it to talk about to the guest and start laughing like it's a joke or something !!

Yelp
Selections listed on menu was very selective. We ordered appetizers of the crab cakes (delicious); biscuit (which I didn't receive); wanted beef brisket but was told they were sold out (it was 7:30pm) so I ordered fried chicken thigh sandwich (over cooked) and fries (not crispy enough); shrimp n grits which was well seasoned and delicious and a salad (both dressings were not tasty at all; and side of collard greens (not seasoned at all) and the drinks were okay - spicy margarita good and the Moscow mule was sweet and could taste any liquor at all. The price of the items on the menu were very decent. The service was awesome; ambience beautiful and love the Photo Booth touch. Just need to brush up on the food dishes more and the place will be a place I will frequent and refer to others. Location is great for the southeast suburbs and parking lot with or without valet parking is a great plus. I would give 3.5 star
