Yelp
When my girlfriend invited me out for a girl's night out, I wasn't sure how I was going to stay sober for Dry January. Let's face it, the best nights out consist of your girlfriends, cocktails and the best vibes. However, after a few folks recommended Honey Elixir's mocktails - I was in!
PRO's:
++ Cozy location - tucked in between 26th and Walnut - right in the middle of the quintessential, graffiti art buildings in RiNo.
++ White string lights light up the entrance creating a welcoming impression!
++ Plush velvet booths and pillows, spacious community table and a large bar provide a trendy yet intimate, cozy, and fun vibe!
++ Wide variety of both cocktails, mocktails, beer and wine with both hot and cold options! - something for everyone!
++ Happy hour is offered Wednesday - Friday from 4-6pm!
++ A perfect Instagramable spot :)
CON's:
--- No reservations are offered. So come early or with a small party to snag a spot. Because it was just me and my friend, we were got the last little booth, which was fine for us, but for a larger party - good luck.
---Service is SLOW. I don't know if a typical Thursday night isn't as busy or what, but clearly one server was busting her little butt around tending to all of us - which proved to be no easy task - as the place was packed.
--- 90 minutes are allotted for each table to imbibe and hang before tabs are closed to increase turnover.
--- While my friend opted to stick with full bodied cocktails, I settled for their Jun creations - which consist of fermented green tea and honey with the additives of your choice. I got the Aphordisia - Damiana Epimedium and Hibiscus - at the recommendation of the server which came in an awkwardly full glass and literally had a floral dirt flavor. Wah. My friend wasn't impressed with her beverage either - which was opposite of mine - in that it came in a tiny glass and was SO strong.
While the con's outweighed the pro's, I'd return here to give this cutsey little spot another chance...and try something else on the menu!
