Where to Find Korean Fried Chicken in Portland and Beyond - Eater Portland

"Tucked away next to Joy Cinema in Tigard, Honey Spicy offers a variety of to-go Korean bowls and snacks. While the menu is brimming with options, the fried chicken is definitely the jewel in the crown: The chicken comes in honey spicy or honey soy sauce flavor, served in bowl with purple rice, salad, mashed potatoes, and macaroni or in popcorn chicken form with tots. Honey Spicy is currently only offering takeout and delivery and doesn’t have indoor or outdoor seating." - Seiji Nanbu

I love friend chicken... This place excels with their fried chicken... Their rice bowl will for sure put you in a food coma though, so be prepared.

Google
Incredible!! Got the regular chicken #1 order meal. I don't usually try weird food places but I went out on a limb and did not regret!!! No place to sit and eat so it looks like just takeout. 10/10 recommend! Very fresh and very crispy.

Karen

Google
DO NOT BUY HERE I ordered two corndogs from DoorDash and they arrived in extremely poor quality, burnt and inedible. Any coherent person could tell they were burnt. I don't know how they were able to wrap this for the customer. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.

Google
First time in. It was recommended by a friend. I bought a few different things to try. 2 different corndogs, and 2 snack boxes. The corndogs are great! Get the 50/50 cheese style. Popcorn chicken and honey chicken snacks were delicious. I will be back to try more

Google
Coworkers recommended this place. All I can say is yum!! I can't wait to try more from the menu!

Google
Went to try the crispy potato corn dog, left with honey spicy wings.. waited 20 mins to eat and the wings were still crunchy and fresh. Both items were kid approved. Super delicious! Atmosphere is no pressure, minimal contact but friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Google
Yummy !!!! Corn Dog beats the other Korean corn dogs out on the west side. Make the drive on the busy highway and you’ll be rewarded with a great tasting Korean Corn Dog !!! Their meal box is uniquely portioned with dividers so food won’t mix in with others - very thoughtful and excellent packaging. Spicy chicken is really spicy 🌶️ while the other chicken that are flavored was great. Lot parking available on the back along with other establishments.

Google
Small take-out spot located next to the Joy Cinema in Tigard. Parking available nearby at the Tigard Plaza. Order online for pickup or when visiting in person, at the kiosks as you walk in. Prices are fair and the menu is pretty big considering the size of this place. So if you’re ever in the area and want something different. Give this place try and don’t forget to support small business! Food✅Service✅Atmosphere✅ Mahalo Honey Spicy-Tigard! 🤙🏽

Google
Everything was SO TASTY and the service was great! It's a cute place that will be our go to spot. I HIGHLY recommend that you eat here! The K-Popcorn chicken bowl was wonderfully crunchy, a little spicy, and perfectly balanced with the pickled things, rice and other goodies. The bulgogi was incredibly tasty, and the loaded fried dumplings were awesome- served on tater tots! I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I've slept on this joint for way too long. I don't know what I was thinking. Crispy spicy chicken is cooked to perfection. Whoever the chef is deserves a chefs kith crispy, semi spicy and derichious only thing I'd ask for is a lil more drizzle on the cole slaw salad (I'm glad it was not drenched however) I'm not a huge mashed potato guy but their mashed potato has macaroni in it if you're into that type of stuff I'll be back (Arnold voice)

Yelp
We wanted to try the Korean hot dogs and then found out they had incredible tofu boxes. A gentleman who was very fun and friendly told us his name was Steve was likely the owner. It's a small place with seating for waiting on your order which after meeting Steve I wish we could have stayed to eat our food, and talk more with. Tables are not provided. Lowered Star rating. We opted for a rice battered all beef hot dog to try, and the lemon honey fried tofu and the spicier soy tofu both of which come with a type of slaw, purple rice and potato mash macaroni salad. We wanted to try two flavors one was very sweet the lemon honey soy almost dessert like reminding us of French toast. The other tofu was more savory and mildly spicy with a honey butter coating making it difficult to choose which one we liked best. The item that drew us in the first place was wonderful with the coated rice crunch. The hot dog juicy and very tasty. Overall the food was flavourful and meeting Steve made it all the more fun.

Yelp
We came here and we really liked the food. But man, trying to find it is crazy !! Our GPS kept saying Arrived but we kept seeing the little movie theater. We passed by it 4 times !! If you could put out a flag or something with the name of the place would help. Okay sooo we find it FINALLY. When you walk in it is T I N Y ! There is no where to eat, like at all but we didn't care. We ate in our car. When you walk in you order from a screen and I liked that because we didn't feel rushed. We've had K dogs for a while in different states. My kids & husband got the potato dog and they said it was good but the hot dog could have tasted better. I got the all cheese ones and they were delicious. I also got the bento box with the honey chicken. I looooved it ! It was soooo good !! I added a little salt and that salt and sweetness was amazing.

Yelp
This review is purely based off of misinformation and bad customer service. My daughter and I have been supporting Honey Spicy for quite awhile now and we figured why not get some for dinner. We were super excited bc it's really good! Google lists their hours as open until 8:30pm and their own WEBSITE lists their closing hours at 8:00pm. See pictures as proof. My daughter and I arrive just a few minutes prior to 7:00pm. The door is locked. A middle aged man approaches and opens the door a crack and ask if we are picking up a delivery order. I'm confused at this point and say that we're here to order food for takeout. He said they're closed. I said the hours are until 8:30pm and he says "we have to update google" and then stands there really awkwardly. Super unprofessional and off putting. You guys need to learn how to maintain a business better. You've lost two loyal customers.

Yelp
Came to Honey Spice my first time the week they opened years ago. I try to stop by every now and then when I'm in the area. Food always satisfying and tasteful. Prompt and friendly service. Love the Honey Chicken. I do miss the bulgogi they had before!

Yelp
The cheese dogs were hot and gooey but the exterior was extremely soft with no crisp. The sugar they put on the potato and cereal ones is an odd addition, I'd get them without if I went again. The chicken dish I got had very dry overcooked chicken. Maybe it was just a bad day for them but I wasn't impressed.

Yelp
So, so delicious. The menu is incredibly creative! The staff were helpful and service was quick. Fast and well-priced. Will definitely eat here again!

Yelp
We arrived when the Clover app via Google indicated our order would be ready and found it to be a counter service restaurant only (which was done because we ordered pickup). Upon arrival we were told it would be an additional 10 minutes as 5 other orders were ahead of us. We came back and were told it would be 5 more minutes. Apparently this is a popular spot! The man working there was really nice and was very apologetic for it being late. Now let's get to the food. Do not skip those corndogs! We got the potato rice crispy and spicy bacon corn dog and they are definitely crave-worthy. So good and unique.! The chicken bowls are decent; they come with very crispy chicken (though more fried bit than substantive chicken), a shredded salad, purple rice, and the most unique Mac salad we've ever had. It was like mashed potatoes with green onion and macaroni in it? The honey spicy sauce is great but we wish it came on the chicken. We decided we would probably skip the lemon honey soy chicken. Would return!
google avatar

Yelp
The crispy spicy was good, but wish the rice tots were not basked in the same sauce. The half sausage half cheese rice dog was frickin' delicious. However, I'd pass on the All Cheese as it's not very stretchy and the whole thing falls apart. I wish they'd use some other type of cheese. Service was friendly. Just wish there was seating to enjoy it there as the chicken loses crispness when transporting in a togo container. They kindly inform you that you cannot eat inside the store, but I advise against eating corn dogs in the car because they're messy.

Yelp
A friend told us about this place. We decided to give it a try. It was a small location and there was construction going on at the entrance. We walked in and there wasn't a physical person taking orders. There was a kiosk you could go and order from. We ordered Bubble Tea, Crispy Honey Butter Chicken, Corn Dog and Popcorn Chicken Bowl. All the food was great and reasonably price. Good potions. Some of the items suggested in the order were not received. We got fries instead of tots. The sauces weren't accurate and we requested the corn dog without sugar but for sugar. Because you can't sit down it's hard to check your order. We took the food home and still enjoyed it.

Yelp
Great food!! I love when I find a delicious restaurant that serves fresh food fast and isn't deep fried. I go here as often as I can when I am in the neighborhood!!

Kim C.

Yelp
Expensive for what you get! Yikes. And the taste of the food is extremely mid. I'd rather go grab a big hot dog at Costco or make homemade fried popcorn chicken at home honestly. Also, the older man is really rude to customers and this caused people who came after us to leave without ordering anything. Skip.

Yelp
Delicious, very nice owner, kpop ambience is vibing too Try menu number 1 with taro milk tea

Yelp
I'm always on the hunt for a yummy korean corn dog and this place has multiple variations! Called right before closing and was able to make it in time (TY!). It's located in a plaza and is off the main street so can be easy to miss, but you can easily park in the free lot and walk over. Mainly a to-go type of place with no tables inside. Not sure if they do usually since I came around closing but either way service is quick and friendly. Tried the original, rice, and potato with half sausage/cheese for the original/potato and full cheese for the rice. Split all three with another person and we were both fully satisfied and almost weren't able to finish all three since they were large. I've been to places where they're smaller than my hand so glad the portion sizes here were worth it and matched the price range imo. Batter here is tasty and crisp. You get the perfect cheese pull with plenty of cheese to spare. I like that they also break up the cheese/sausage within the options that allow you to have both so you don't get all cheese or sausage at the beginning and none throughout the rest of your meal. I do with the potato was crispier as it could have used another 1-2 mins for my preference but still pretty tasty. The original was nice but the fave was the rice dog as it was chewier and didn't break apart as easily as the original. Overall, it's worth checking them out and why not try one of each if you can!? I didn't order any of their other items but the prices weren't too crazy as well if you did want to try a couple things.

Yelp
Out of all the times that I've tried Korean corn dogs this place tasted the best. My favorite was the original dog with half cheese half sausage. Ambiance is upbeat, and workers are friendly. They have a lot of different sauces to try with your Korean dogs; I chose the cheese mustard. Perfect crunch, unique batter and their own spin to their sauces. I to goed ours for a lunch visit surprise for someone who was craving this, he agreed that it was the best Korean dog he had tried.

Yelp
Heck yes! This place is so yum! Great Friday night yummy treat dinner. Everyone in the family agrees on Honey Spicy
google avatar

Naomi S.

Yelp
So disappointed with our purchase. We have had Korean fried cheese many times and this was not it. There was NO cheese pull. The fried cheese was greasy and floppy. Not at all like I've ever had. The dumplings were ok. Nothing special. Very unremarkable.
google avatar

Lauren U.

Yelp
Incredible, fun food! We tried almost every one of their corn dogs. They were a great size and very quality. The service was fast and the staff were over the top friendly and helpful. I love that you could choose half cheese and half hotdog. I also love that they use all beef hot dogs. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Lia S.

Yelp
The food here is so good. I have been here about 4 times. I have tried some chicken bowls and tofu bowls. The chicken/tofu is always delicious. The sauce for the spicy chicken/tofu is my fave. I love the purple rice and the whipped potatoes. I only wish the potatoes came in a bigger container :( The side salad is okay. Overall the portions are good for the price. They are generous with the amount of your protein pick. They have a few bubble tea flavor options. The two that I have tried have been good. It seems like all their bubble teas are made fresh and not with a powder. That being said .. This is definitely not a sit down place. This is a order your food beforehand or when you go in for to-go.

Liz L.

Yelp
Corn dogs on point. Way better than others I've tried. Really fresh and fairly quick.

Yelp
Honey, get Spicy Get a good job with more pay and you're still hungry Honey, it's a Bowl Grab that mic with both hands and rock & roll Katsu, Tofu, five star Dumplings Think I'll feed me a football team Honey, get straight I'm late, great, keep your hands off of my plate Honey, Purple Rice Don't give me that fast food sacrifice I'm in the Pink Floyd symphony And I think I need Potato Macaroni Honey, it's a crime Unless you share it fairly over suppertime Honey, so they say Is the way to eat healthy But if you ask for Yangnyeom It's no surprise that they're all Crispy

Yelp
I haven't been here since they opened and wow, a lot has changed! Their menu is different and they remodeled the restaurant. It is now a takeout only restaurant with two tables outsides. I love how they have a kiosk for you to order from. It took about 10 minutes for our order to be made. My boyfriend and I both got chicken bowls. Their spicy is actually spicy! But not too hot to handle. We also tried their potato cheese corn dog which was delicious! So crunchy and with the dusting of sugar-perfect! I thought adding ketchup would be weird with the sugar, but it tasted so good! I do miss their old menu items like bulgogi rice bowl with the pickled veggies. I might try their boba next time as they have some unique flavors. Horchata and pistachio boba? Interesting!

Yelp
Great takeaway Korean chicken (or park on the tables out front (and watch the traffic violations unfold...)); the ordering process might give you a bit of pause--the large menu on the wall fails to direct you to self-order from the terminals below it. After the awkwardness of figuring that out (and the wonky refresh/cart view on the kiosk), the food arrived piping hot, well-packed & was all-around delicious. Our only menu complaint was/is the lack of non-soda/sweet beverage options. Water, Bubbly, Barley Tea (or any of the myriad South Korean semi-fizzy drinks) would have been welcome additions. See you next time we're out and about over Tigard way.

Yelp
Walked in and stood there for a while waiting, then realized that you order on your own using a touch screen. Not used to that, but it was easy to navigate. Took a long time for the food to be prepared, even though there was only one person in front of me. But the food was quite tasty - very flavorful.
google avatar

Jackie L.

Yelp
Loved the easy order access. You walk in and order on the tablets, pay, and sit down. Wasn't a long wait, and the owner was really sweet when giving us our food. The place was small but very clean and the food was AMAZING! The best Korean corn dog and dumplings I've ever had. Made my day brighter.
google avatar

Kristi P.

Yelp
They are take-out only per COVID-19 guidelines. K-popcorn chicken bowl: 3.5/5 For take-out, it's now served deconstructed in a tray. This would be a white meat chicken lover's dream! The batter is super light, and the chicken is juicy. I personally prefer the flavor of dark meat, though. There is cabbage slaw instead of pickled vegetables. Maybe my favorite part was the potato mac salad, but you don't get much--just a take-out sauce container full. The Spicy honey dipping sauce has just a slight kick to it, which is fine with me. Rice crispy corn dog: 5/5 very large juicy all-beef dog with nice light, crispy batter--yummy! This could be a meal in itself. Note: the woman helping us wore a valved mask
google avatar

Nicole T.

Yelp
The food is amazing!!! My bf and I love Honey Spicy (our favorite spot to get some fried chicken now). You get more food compared to other places and sides!!! The chicken is always delicious. Their tteobokki is good too. Corn dogs are perfect.

Jacob T.

Yelp
Heard this place was amazing for their corn dogs and was pretty underwhelmed. It wasn't bad just wasn't mind blowing. Price wasn't too bad but the customer service was non existent. When I tried to talk to an employee they just gestured at a tablet for me to use to order. Wouldn't go on my own again but if I was with someone who wanted to go I wouldn't complain.
google avatar

Emily J.

Yelp
Accidentally came during the 3-4pm slot when they were technically closed, however the owner was very sweet and took our order to be ready for later! There is no formal inside dining area, but picnic tables outside which was fine. I'm not a big corn dog fan but they were super fresh and tasted yummy!

Yelp
My daughter was hounding me on more than a few occasions in the course of an entire week asking me to take her to this place so she can try-out the corn dogs and so we finally took a drive into the old part of Tigard to check this place out. The location seems kind of odd as it's next to an old movie theater but strategically placed in front of the busy Highway 99 for better business exposure. When we arrived, we saw some people waiting outside and sitting on the few chairs the had setup outside. There was a wooden seat inside so we sat there waiting for the guy to take our order. He was kind of busy attending to those who were already waiting. After deliberating what to order, I finally decided on a Beef Bulgogi as the menu mentioned it was marinated using a "Family Recipe", added an original corn dog (half cheese, half sausage), same for my daughter. My son decided on the Spicy Pork and fried dumplings. Of course, when I saw their menu, there was no Boba drinks, no shaved ice deserts- I still asked the guy and he said they were "discontinued". Quite disappointing. It seems many other items appeared to have been stripped down from their menu. If this is a sign of how the business is running, it may not be long until this place goes under. It's just my gut feeling. Maybe it's COVID related- not sure. They did however have soft drinks in a refrigerator tucked away in the corner next to the front window. A few minutes later, the guy comes back and says they ran out of Spicy Pork- why not mention that in the first place when I placed my order? I have nothing special to say about their bulgogi- nothing stands-out from their "Family Recipe"- seems pretty generic to me. For the amount you pay for a Bulgogi ($10.75), you don't really get a good amount of food. In my honest opinion, for a few dollars more, you can get much more food at Koba grill or even Roxy's Hawaiian BBQ. The corn dogs were not as crunchy as I thought they would be. The batter did taste good, but nothing really hit me as be unique. If you really want to enjoy a great tasting korean hot dog, I recommend Myungrang Hot Dog in Cupertino back in the Bay Area. I wasn't really impressed about this place and the guy didn't seem to be too pleasant or enthusiastic- not friendly at all. We waited about 25 min. for our food to be completed. I don't think I'll be stopping by here again anytime in the future.

Yelp
Avoid this place at all costs. You can see from my other reviews that I'm highly active on Yelp and have little to maybe no TERRIBLE reviews of other businesses. I've never been treated so disrespectfully at any business. This is a take-away place, as they don't have seating and your only interaction with them is when you go to pick up your food, and possibly on the phone if you don't order online. I've been here numerous times because it's close by and easy to get to. The service has always been average to below average. Never friendly, never more than a couple minutes long and always pretty terse replies. The food is ok (don't get the bulgogi-- seasoning is fine but meat is really crappy quality and tough) and I liked the hot dogs. When I went to pick up my order this time, I was told it wasn't ready. My order should've been ready 8 minutes before the time arrived. So I said ok and the woman there told me that it was because the rice wasn't ready and would take 10 minutes. I said i would come back then and left. However after a few minutes, I realized I only had childcare until a certain time so I returned and let them now that I needed to leave now so please just give me the food that is ready and substitute for rice or salad or whatever else they wanted. They agreed. Then I waited, thinking they were proceeding to pack the rest of my order. However, they didn't and I just stood there waiting without them saying anything to me about what was going on. I proceeded to ask if there was a hold up and if my food was actually ready. I was basically screaming trying to get their attention to ask about my order because they wouldn't come out from behind the kitchen, even though the place is completely open and like 300 sq ft. Then the guy said it's going to be a few more minutes. So the order wasn't ready and they lied and had me standing there waiting when I told them I had to leave. I told him I couldn't wait any longer so he said "I'll just cancel your order then. You can go." ....really? Thanks I guess I'm starving for lunch now because I don't have time to go anywhere else. When I called back to ask about my cancellation receipt a bit later, the same guy picked up and was EXTREMELY rude. When I asked if he needed my email for the receipt he said, and I quote " I got your email. I'll send it. So what. what do you want me to do? You want free food or something? Basically yelling into the phone. W. T. F. I relied that I did t want anything and certainly not free food and that was a very poor way to treat a paying customer. To which he Then hung up on me. I never raised my voice or acted rude at any point in the conversation, btw. Really hope I dont have to interact with them again if they don't actually return my money. Such a terrible business, disgusting lack of customer service. Not worth the mediocre food.

very unique and yummy food! i can't wait to try the rest of the menu! very fresh made to order.

Yelp
Lovely place, good fried chicken, very clean, affordable. We stopped for a quick bite here, we got the chicken snack which comes with fried chicken and tater tots and the chicken bowl which comes with rice and salad. The chicken was nice and crispy and there was a satisfying portion.

Yelp
Honey Spicy is pretty good food! I have liked everything I've tried there. I do think that all of their locations are set up a little weird, and sometimes their food is just OK but I think everyone should give it a shot!

Yelp
Just when I thought this place couldn't get better, it did! I came back for the Korean corn dogs and they've added more!! Check out their new rice crispy and squid crispy when you're back in the Tigard area. This place does Korean fusion right! I've been to countless places that claim they're "Korean fusion" but fail to use Korean ingredients or follow Korean food trends. These owners are Korean and use true Korean ingredients but add a twist to their dishes. Cheesy corn dogs are a huge hit in Korean lately and they have it on their menu! It's the first place I've seen in Oregon that have this. Honey Spicy Bowl is tucked away in a small strip mall area right off 99. It's a small and cute little place with only a couple of tables. The menu consists of a variety of korean fusion dishes: bulgogi bowl, spicy pork, kpop (popcorn like) chicken, gyozas and more. The best thing about this place is their cheesy and crispy corn dogs. You have the option to have a regular corn dog or you can upgrade with a crispy crust or get half cheese/sausage. You can't get anything like this in Oregon (yet). This place is a great fusion place with a warm and welcoming staff. They've updated their menu a couple times to stay relevant but the taste remains the same. You must try their cheesy corn dogs and their kpop chicken when you visit here!

Malik P.

Yelp
BUSSIN. Me and my girlfriend we're looking for something quick to eat and this did not disappoint at all. Clean place, friendly service, quick food, etc. anything you can think of great about a place, it's here. We got a boba and a Korean corn dog and never ever have we been so talkative about the food. Enjoy talk, come here, you will NOT regret it

Yelp
This shop faces pacific highway. You can park on the side of the building or near the dollar tree/Joanns parking lot and walk over. Initially I thought this was a dine in restaurant but after walking in and asking the male worker, he told me that the shop is for to go orders only. I thought I saw indoor seating in the yelp photos but immediately walking in I found myself in a small little restaurant with just a bench and the checkout counter. I just ate outside the shop on a bench around the corner. The crispy corn dog with cheese was pretty good. It has a sweet, crunchy, breaded exterior with alternating bits of sausage and cheese. The cheese pull on this thing is unreal! The spicy chicken bowl was good too. Portions are a bit small though. The workers had a sense of no nonsense attitude and service was quick. I saw that someone posted a boba menu on yelp but it must be seasonal, or removed because they were not offering any boba beverages when I visited

Liz R.

Yelp
Amazing, amazing, amazing. My daughter and I have seen this place off of the 99 for months now, and never really knew what it was. We googled it one day and saw the menu and was like yep, we're going. Don't be fooled by the tiny storefront!! The food is AMAZING. They have an open kitchen so you can see the cook (maybe owner? She was a female, maybe in her 40's, dark hair) making the food. It's all made from scratch with incredibly high quality ingredients. This place is a GEM. My daughter and I live 5 minutes away and try to order from here a couple times a month to support this small business. Every dish we've gotten is delicious. If you're on the edge about the corn dog, get ittttttt. The crispy corn dog is like having dinner and dessert at the same time. The crispy batter is sweet and the inside is savory. Very legit.

Yelp
The food here isn't mind-blowing, but it's a pretty tasty meal for a decent price and I would eat here a lot more often if I lived closer. The crispy corndog is my favorite thing on the menu and you can actually get it half-cheese filled for all you cheese lovers out there. It's not enough to satisfy you for a whole meal, but it's a great snack. Their bowls are great for lunch or dinner and priced so well for what you get. My only complaint is that on my last visit here I had to wait about 15-20 minutes just to place my order and then another 15 minutes for my order to be ready. There was no one else in line before me when I was waiting to place my order, but there were 2 other people waiting to get their orders and another person who came to pickup an online/takeout order. It seems like there's only one or two people working here so expect a wait!
google avatar

Mai D.

Yelp
Half cheese half hot dog with crispy rice on the outside. 100% recommend! I don't think I can eat a regular corn dog ever again. I'll def be back to try more food items, the menu is small but I think that's where you get the best food since they focus on a few items and making it the best. I was a bit disappointed to see they discontinued the squid ink corn dog. I saw on Yelp from before that they used to have the squid ink corn dog and was hoping to be able to try it.
google avatar

Simi K.

Yelp
the tofu here is some of the best tofu i've ever had! it's worth the drive and the wait! i would definitely recommend their crispy spicy tofu. it's a little pricey but it's worth it.

It's tough when you love another. I have a favorite Korean fusion place so everything else has to compare to it. Is it fair? Probably not but such is life. I was a big fan of the corn dog. Yummy batter and sausage and even better with cheese. I highly recommend and far cheaper than the fair. The fried chicken was really good. Great breading and texture. They could probably have dialed up the seasoning and something about the sauce didn't jive right with me but it was solid as a whole dish. When I read the description of the loaded fried dumpling I imagined a giant loaded dumpling. Nope it's just all the ingredients together. It was good but no ingredient really brought out the best in the dish. The tofu had a cool texture and sauce but way under seasoned. Definitely a pass. One thing I enjoyed was the solid earth friendly wares. It can't be cheap to get both but as a warrior for the planet I appreciate it. I'll be back. I like my Korean fusion a little nastier if you get what I mean. This food was a little to pretty.

Yelp
This place has pivoted to just take out only. But the flavors are still 5 stars! Don't know why it took so long to come back. Order online and it is ready quicker or at the register is just a 10 min wait. Yummy k-pop chicken off the charts with the light batter. The bowl comes with slaw and purple rice. We LOVE LOVE the corn dogs! Order $.50 extra to make it half mozzarella stick! The regular is like a pronto pups, but the fun is the crispy with panko, or the rice crispy. Off the charts yummy!

Yelp
Really delicious and unique rice bowls! Honey Spicy Bowl has a rather small menu, but that's okay because what they do have, they do very well. I've tried 3 of their rice bowls and they are all fantastic. The bowl contents is the same for all : purple rice, mac/potato salad, pickled radish and cucumbers & onions, and corn. Then the protein is different. I liked the K-popcorn chicken the best, second fave is bulgogi (beef) and the spicy pork was good too, just not my favorite because it's slightly sweet. Great seasoning on everything - not too spicy or sweet. Each bowl is a lot of food, and I left feeling satisfied each time. Prices are about $8.50 for a bowl, which I find reasonable for the amount and quality of food. They also have fried dumplings, and you can get the fried chicken as a snack/appetizer too (without the bowl contents), and kimchi. Oh yeah, and corndogs. AND, they have bubble tea, if that's your thing. That's about it for the menu. They make each dish to order, so if you're eating in and there are a lot of people there, it could take a bit of time. First time we were there, I think it was about 20 minutes to get our 2 bowls after ordering. Second time was quicker. They've redone the interior from the previous tenant (falafel) and it looks sparkling clean and rustically modern. It's really nice. They are next door to Joy Cinema, and the only parking is in the lot next door. I always prefer to spend my money at locally owned businesses, and this one definitely will get more of my money.

Yelp
The food just tastes so fresh and clean! I love their chicken katsu here and the katsu sauce is sooo good! The rice crispy corn dog was one of the best Korean corn dogs I've ever had! They don't have dine in so it's take out only.

Yelp
This is a cute spot right next door to Joy Cinema. We got the K Popcorn Chicken bowl with honey spicy sauce and a rice crispy corn dog. The corn dog was great! At $4, it is a very large beef dog with a really nice batter that was lightly crispy. I was a little worried there was sugar sprinkled on it, the the sweetness was a nice touch. Ate it with honey spicy sauce until I realized there was a packet of Heinz ketchup in the bag too! It was good with both! The K Popcorn Chicken bowl came in a tray with 3 compartments to go. The reason I gave this place 4 stars is because they use white meat and I prefer dark; it would be nice if you had the option of dark meat. Also, the batter was not the typical Korean fried chicken batter, so not as crispy/crunchy as I was expecting. But maybe I shouldn't have assumed the K stood for Korean! I asked if honey spicy sauce was very spicy; the woman serving us adamantly shook her head no, and it was not spicy at all, it just had a very light kick to it. I liked it because I have a sweet tooth, it was very much like a BBQ sauce. The "bowl" also comes with cold slaw, which was fine, nothing special, purple rice (not seasoned but well cooked), and a tiny cup of potato mac. It was different from any potato salad I'd ever had, I'm not sure it's technically a salad, they didn't call it one, but it is a potato purée with macaroni in it. It was tasty, I wish there was more of it! On a rainy Sunday, there was plenty of parking on the side of the building to eat our meal. They do a good job with distancing, masking, etc. There is no Plexiglas, but I don't think it does much anyway. There was a large bottle of hand sanitizer available to use.

Yelp
Amazing flavor. Food and service are great. We got the spicy chicken and lemon tofu. Staff knew the ingredients and made the items safe for our allergies to eggs, dairy and nuts. I'm coming back here.
