"Burgeoning chain Honeygrow just opened its largest local outpost to date in Rockville, Maryland, expanding upon its plan to establish eight new stir-fry eateries across the D.C.-metro area by the end of next year. The menu at the new 56-seat location includes newly added winter options such as roasted garlic tahini and a winter kale salad. The new location is scheduled to operate from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily." - Tierney Plumb

Today, I got takeout through Uber Eats and scored a great deal on stir-fry with their 'buy one get one free' promo. The food was amazing, especially with the sesame garlic sauce. The brownie crumble and strawberry guava lemonade were also super tasty. Definitely ordering again soon!

You don’t see a price until you purchase your food so you have no idea how much you’re spending until you’re done. You can see that if you get a salad almost everything on that salad is costing you more than the base price. Want carrots? Want edamame? Almost a dollar more for each. I added avocado but no protein so mine was only $13. It would have been 17-18$ for chicken. I’ll enjoy my salad and try another place next time. Edit: my food was good and it’s an easy location to go to and park. I just ant to know how much it will cost prior to deciding what I’m having. Prices are not displayed anywhere.

Great restaurant, stir fries have plenty of ingredients and customization! this may sound weird, but their stir fries are perfect in place of a desert!!! The garnishes are super fresh tasting! I love their red coconut curry sauce! 4/5

Great place! The stirfry offer a warm option and on a freezing cold day it was much needed. Walked in just before lunch on a snowy Saturday and there were two folks already dining in. The staff greeted me from behind the counter. I used the kiosk to order and create a profile. I must’ve taken a while cause an employee asked me if I needed help. I certainly did but for good reason there were so many options on the create your own bowl. And I was trying to optimize for flavor cost and protein! I’ve been working through a vegan diet for the last few days. After the servers help I was able to choose my final item the sauce. She bright over three different sauces and told me she mixes the spicy garlic and sesame together. I enjoyed them! Next time I’ll probably try the five spice soy. The sample was good and it had a different taste. Soy chucks are bland. Sauce mix is good but couldn’t hide it. Overall a great option for someone inclined to a Whole Foods diet. Had the dine in option service is pleasant and helpful!

Google
First time visit. Opted double meat. It didn’t seem like there was even a single serving of meat in the dinner dish. Add a double sauce, tasty seem like there were more noodles than anything. Not a bad product but for $17.54 for a single item ?? More expensive than my local Chinese or Thai takeout .

Google
I love ordering from Honeygrow! The portions are very generous, making it a great value for the price. There are tons of customization options, so you can build your perfect meal. I’ve tried both their salads and stir-fry, and both have been great. The sesame garlic sauce is especially flavorful and adds the perfect balance of savory and slightly sweet. The Rockville location is convenient, with plenty of parking available in the shopping center. The inside seating is clean and modern, with a good amount of space if you want to dine in. Another bonus—on DoorDash, they often have a buy one, get one free deal on stir-fry or salads, which makes it even more worth it. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a fresh, customizable, and satisfying meal!

Google
I had the garlic beef and my daughter did create your own stir fry. It was ok. I would have liked to have been able to add some ingredients like cilantro to my bowl but could not see how to request that on the auto-menu portal. Many of the tables had not been wiped down.

Like many build-your-own bowls with ingredients centered around a protein or starch like CAVA [for Mediterranean] or Chipotle [for Americanized Mexican], this place is your CAVA-version but for noodles, specifically stirfried noodles. It tastes great. I was excited - I almost missed it because the establishment name doesn't really indicate that it's a noodle place. Not sure why a place like this never existed before but noodles isn't really a major American food fare. This feels like a very modern take on stirfried noodles with flavors bordering on fusion of flavors from different cultures. Too bad only stir-fried noodles are offered as there are no soup-based noodles. Overall, I wish there were more places like this. I would give it more stars but there are a few areas which I found perplexing: --> portions are smaller than expected --> ingredients like major vegetables items are super small --> there seems to be only 1 noodle texture use for all noodles dishes..... so no mei-fun, soba, or any other very popular asian noodles that make great stir-fry.

Jalina D.

Yelp
My parents spoke highly of this place. We finally tried and wow! We loved their noodles. So good! We also loved their honeybar. Definitely will be here often!

Yelp
Thanks for the note Nicole. I'm not sure why it would make sense for me to have a conversation with your office about how to understand the labor costs in your FP&A and how to budget your operational cash flows & expenses so that Honeygrow is able to pay the salaries of your employees. I'd have to charge a consulting fee. That's not why I use yelp so no thank you. Plus, after I did all that work I'd probably be asked to tip your finance department.

Iva N.

Yelp
Friend raved about honeygrow multiple times, I finally gave in wanting to see what's the hype about. OK, so definitely not disappointed, ordered thru UberEats and went in for pick up. Clean and inviting dining area. I may come dine out another day with the Fido :) A little mix up in the beginning that they don't have my order, but I think it was only because I put it for scheduled a bit later. Feel sorry though for the person who's giving the person at the register a hard time :(... but not going there. Ordered CYO Stir fry with spicy garlic sauce, whole wheat noodles (trying to be healthier.. haha), kale, turkey meatballs, onions, edamame and added some pineapple topped with cilantro and toasted sesame seeds. Overall yummy, proven by I am usually not one to finish whole meal in one sitting, in this case yep all gone..Whoops! It was delish, so I will def come to try their CYO salad or maybe old bay stir fry next time!

Ann C.

Yelp
Still a favorite after many years. Not sure why it has so few stars - after many years frequenting this and the Tysons Corner location, I'm always very happy with the quality and speed of the meals here.

Sara M.

Yelp
Look at this. My container was filled half way. I thought I paid for a full meal. They should be ashamed of themselves. Very stingy.

Tony Shaffer ..

Yelp
Fast food that doesn't eat like fast food. They have scalding hot woks putting this dish together. The spice level did let your mouth tingle a bit. Only drawback is having to place your order yourself.

Victor R.

Yelp
I live this place. The food is off the chain. They are pretty fast with getting the food out to you.

Mike P.

Yelp
$45 for a pair of salads and a juice drink! Daaaaang. Four stars, though, because they got our custom orders exactly correct, and did pack a lot of food into those bowls. Our greens were fresh and the toppings savory--if on the salty side. Good marks also for their paper and recyclable containers. The touchscreen menu & payment stations are okay, but quickly become unwieldy when business piles up and people have to edge/push past each other to get to an open one. Though I'll turn to one of the nearby specialty noodle shops first for noodles, honeygrow is certainly one of the best salad options in the area.

Kaya E.

Yelp
I will first start out by saying I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed my meal at Honeygrow and I can't wait to come back again. While doing some holiday shopping in Rockville I noticed the honeygrow logo next to Cava and wondered what it was. The simplicity made me curious and the smell when I walked inside instantly hooked me. I could tell that their dishes had flavor based on how yummy it smelled inside. Honeygrow is a customizable stir fry spot that originated in Philly back in 2012. When you first walk in it's really airy and bright. You head straight over to one of their kiosks to order where they offer photos and descriptions that are super easy to navigate through. I decided on their Spicy Garlic stir fry (spicy garlic sauce, freshly made egg white noodles, roasted chicken, bell peppers, broccoli, red onions, pineapples, parsley). During the process of ordering they ask for your phone number so that you get updates on when your order is ready, which for me only took about 8 minutes or so. When I received my takeout order it appeared to be such a small portion size but once I brought it home and took it out of the container I quickly realized it is the perfect amount of food. The sauce, to noodle, to veggies ratio is perfect. The stir fry packs a punch with the spice but also simmers down when you eat some of the pineapple. Man... I was really impressed by this place. It's wayyy better than Noodles & Co which is what I would eat during college back in the day. This place is 10x better and you can customize your own bowl too. Whoever is working on their design team too... kudos to them because all the holiday themed packaging was super cute. OH! and let me know forget to mention they had napkins that had jokes on them lol (nice touch)

Yelp
The food is good has flavor. My bowl was full and loaded with ingredients as well as the honey bar fruit was fresh

Arista W.

Yelp
Was in the mood for something sweet and they were the only place open that made sense at the time lol. So I tried it, all we had were the desserts so I may need to come back and try the actual food. It's basically overpriced fruit with whipped cream and idk why I thought it there was going to be some ice cream in there but it wasn't lol. Anyway, the fruit was fresh but this just isn't what I expected and for the price I expected a whole lot more. Wasn't nasty but it wasn't anything I'd rush back for. I also tried the lemonade and it was pretty good.

Christine T.

Yelp
Where to start? The service here was extraordinary which is a weird way to describe service in a place where you order on a kiosk and wait to be called. I was having trouble with the kiosk and a gentleman came out from behind the line, helped me with my problem and the went on to describe the item in more detail. When he brougjt my delicious apple cobbler (which was improved by his suggestions), he asked if I wanted water and got me some. He even checked back to make sure I liked it. Obviously, they weren't terribly busy at the time but he did NOT need to go out of his way like that. Food: e everything was delicious and tasted fresh even though it is essentially all on a steam table. Ambiance: ambiance sucks. It is scrupulously clean, but the hard chairs and painfully loud music make it clear that they don't want you to enjoy a convo with your friends or enjoy your meal at a leisurely pace. I find it a rather hostile environment although it's a tactic used in lots of restaurants nowadays. Back to the cleanliness. While I say writing this, a lady came over and asked if she could clear away my dirty dishes! Wow. Another example of their commitment to a clean environment and good customer service. On the whole, this is the best service I have had at s Honeygrow and I will visit her again.

Treshea L.

Yelp
Eh I'm giving it an extra star because the lady was helpful when we requested a refund. We did not try the food, as we immediately requested a refund when we saw the container that the food comes in and asked if that was it... is that the portion size?? She politely said yes and I said no way this is not conducive for my appetite or the price! The math ain't mathing. Y'all the portion of the ENTIRE order (noodles/rice, protein, vegetables etc.) is in a container the size of the small rice containers from the Chinese restaurants. This place needs to increase their container size or decrease the prices because there's no way my husband ordered double protein, and they fit his food in the same size container??

Nelys'ia B.

Yelp
Food is good/decent depending on what you get. Service is good, depending on who you get lol. No but it's decent, never had over the top never had Horrible service. Plus it's a line service. The ambiance is just regular. Nothing fancy. The garlic soy sauce is pretty much all Ive tried on the noodles with protein & veggies.

Sindhu S.

Yelp
I rarely write reviews on Yelp but this warranted one. I ordered honeygrow via UberEats today and the pictures on the app along with the price are NO WHERE in proportion to the food we received. There is no way a $24 stir fry fits into less than a full size chinese takeout rice container. Food tasted fine but its really such a put off when you order food to be delivered for someone and this is what they receive. Really just sad.

Brooke T.

Yelp
I had never heard of this place, but I was in the area and wanted something different. A quick search on thee Yelp helped me to solidify that it was a done deal. Since I've been harboring this human, I've had a hankering for beef and the first thing that I saw was the sesame garlic meal. Which looked like beef and broccoli, with noodles. I called my order in and it was ready when I arrived which was dope. Staff were available to assist when picking up the order, which I dug, and were nice. The to-go container was a nice size and everything smelled delicious. I didn't think it was too greasy despite my order. Consider this was a fast casual type of situation, I thought the food was pretty good. The meat could have used a wee bit more seasoning, and I wish that I maybe siracha or soy sauce with it because to me it was a bit dry, plus I am a fan of heat. When I back in the area, I'll try something else.

Johnny R.

Yelp
Great salads friendly service ambiance is very comforting one of my favorite places to eat in the dmv. Most definitely would recommend this restaurant

Mauricio Q.

Yelp
DO NOT COME HERE!! i ordered the green serrano chili noodles w all the veg and shrimp. I was given THREE tiny shrimps, seriously 3 shrimps and they were small frozen salad-bag shrimps. I was charged 4 for this, AND the noodles were dry and flavorless. So disappointing and will not be returning, please don't go here!

Joanna Y.

Yelp
I always forget Honeygrow is so close to home. I used to go there often when they first opened, about 5 years ago, but then it fell off the rotation. But recently, I ordered HG and wondered how tf did I go so long without having it? I usually opt for a CYO (create your own) stir fry or salad. Like the other fast casual restaurants, it allows you to get the things you want, while leaving out the things you don't. But for those that aren't picky, they have a menu full of items, like the Garlic Butter Shrimp or Red Coconut Curry, which includes proteins and toppings already. I love the tofu for my salads and the turkey meatballs (used to be ground turkey) for my stir frys (stir fries?). The Sweet Soy 5 Spice sauce is my favorite for stir fry, especially with noodles. It is reminiscent of Lo Mein, but less greasy and healthier. I inhaled today's order sooo quickly. For salads, they seem to change up the dressing options regularly (and seasonally), but there's never been one that has tasted bad. My only gripe with the salads is that the portion is a tad small, for the price. There's not an option to select extra this or extra that to supplement, but if you're not a greedy piggy like me, it may be okay. Lastly, the honeybar is good, but just know that toppings like yogurt are extra, and you'll end up spending at least $7 to feel like you're eating something besides fruit and honey. It's yum, but not cheap.

Yelp
Another healthy, fast-casual food spot that has become a favorite on my list! I have been several times now and can say the food is fresh and another important point...your food is made to order.  Doesn't get any better than that!  It's like as-if you cooked the dish yourself, except someone else went out of the trouble to sources, the ingredients and become your personal chef for the moment. This location is similar to all the others I have been too....A very open, minimalist-clean vibe and space.  You walk in and the magic starts here. You order on touchscreens mounted in a row, facing a Chipotle-style open kitchen, it gets prepared and you pick up your order at the cash register. You have two choices--a salad or a noodle stir-fry--but there are many options within each category to choose from.   In salads, choose from five types of greens, a range of raw or cooked vegetables, "additions" ranging from shrimp, chicken and bacon to avocado, tofu and 10 dressings. In stir-frys, choose from egg, whole wheat or rice noodles, white or brown rice and/or a Boston lettuce cup. Then choose from six proteins, six stir-fry sauces and dozens of mix-ins. It can all seem daunting at first, but the touchscreens are intuitive and orders are filled quickly, unless the place is busy. And, I have noticed this place gets its fare share of crowds during lunch time.   TIP:  If you're in a rush or don't feel like channeling your inner Bobby Flay or Rachael Ray....Honeygrow's menu includes six "suggested" salads and six "suggested" stir-frys--their all presumably terrific combinations. I can't qualify this as to I always create my own but it is a sure winner if you have no clue what may suite your palette.  Hey!  It's beeter to be safe than sorry...with create a meal that is not to your liking and still have to pay for it. lol **My "go-to" & favorite, as a recommendation is:   The Whole-Wheat Noodle salad, with chewy noodles, baby spinach, tender roasted shrimp, roasted squash, crushed candied cashews and a honey-ginger-scallion vinaigrette.  This dish is my favorite!...And, sooooo good!! In all, I am a fan.  Eating local, farm source food that is on a "healthy fast food" tip is my kind of style.  The service at this location is friendly and the staff do welcome questions.  The price point is probably the only thing at Honeygrow that can add up fast.  A dish can average between $9-$12.....$15+ if you want to get fancy or over-zealous with extra toppings for your concocted meal. Nevertheless....You can't go wrong eating here.  The food is great and service is consistent.  I am definitely sold on this place and the concept!

Yelp
Dined here twice. All within the same week. Food is fresh and hot. Would recommend the Chicken Parmesean and the Sesame Chicken (I think that's what it's called) . A little pricey but I was ordering for 3 and we also each got a lemonade. ,

Christine Y.

Yelp
Horrible experience here and would not go again, nor recommend anyone here. Ordered online on a weekday for lunch, when I went in for pick up, the place was pretty empty. My friend ordered at the restaurant using their self order system. Even though I ordered online in advance, it took them at least 25 minutes to get the food ready for pick up. Way after my phone app said that the food was ready. My friends order was ready before mine was, and it took forever for his order as well. By the time I got my food, there was a huge crowd waiting at the pick up area. The food itself was below par. The portions were VERY SMALL for the price you pay for. My garlic shrimp noodle was swimming in a pool of oil, and my friends salad was very mediocre. The staff was friendly but otherwise it was not at all a positive experience for us. Will not visit again.

Nini J.

Yelp
I forgot all about Honey grow until I was visiting my mom in Rockville. I had them years ago and remember them being more of a healthy salad place. But tonight I had their garlic chili stirfry with shrimp and it was soooooo good. My husband had another one of their stirfrys and he also enjoyed his meal. Delicious, especially for a fast casual place! Everything tasted super fresh!

Kathryn R.

Yelp
Most of the food is carbs in both our orders. Small slivers of protein and veggies. Other locations much more balanced. The carbs are cheap so I guess they are not going to care about giving customers their fair share. Also, the sauce isn't mixed in. Carbs went in and sauce poured into the togo box. So the bottom you get plain rice or noodles. Really? Other honey grow locations do much better.

Dawn S.

Yelp
We were excited to try Honeygrow as a quick lunch on a Saturday while out and about. Overall, it was fine. We did the sesame noodle stir fry with shrimp. Very small portions and hardly any toppings (like 5 small pieces of broccoli in the full dish). I don't think it's worth the money but the food tasted ok. Would opt for another fast place over this in the future.

Anne Y.

Yelp
Had catering for our office lunch! It was perfect as it was a healthy option for all with a lot of different choices of meats and vegetarian options. I loved that I got to try all the different stir fry and salad options

Jerry X.

Yelp
TLDR: a popular fast-casual create-your-own-adventure stir-fry shop in the same vein as Chipotle. Worth a visit for a quick lunch! Honestly, I'm surprised that this is only the first stir-fry fast-casual joint that I've ever encountered. I was working in the area and a colleague of mine recommended we come here for a quick lunch since she had eaten at the Honeygrow in Rutgers once a week. From what I can tell, this chain falls in the same vein as chipotle, but specifically for stir-fry, offering a wide variety of proteins, vegetables, sauces, and sides that are decently portioned for the price. If you're too lazy to make your own, you can also pick one of their pre-selected options, which come with no discounts. Today, I got the pre-selected beef sesame ginger which was surprisingly delicious, not too oily, and very saucy (to my liking). The only downside that I noticed was that the beef wasn't as juicy as I would've expected, being more juicy than something you could really bite into, and that it could've used just a little bit more vegetables. However, overall, the meal was well worth the price and satisfied my lunch hunger.

Bittu A.

Yelp
Always thought this was just a salad place but was happily mistaken! Create your own or go with a select option, and you order from a touch screen with pictures of everything. Made fresh and delicious! *1 year ago*

George M.

Yelp
A sign outside this restaurant advertised a seasonal bowl named the "Vegan AF" and well, that was catchy AF so I stopped in. Do you like over-complicated ordering screens that enable you to avoid all eye contact and interaction with other humans, over-priced "ambiguously-Asian" rice and noodle bowls smothered in generic sweet brown sauce, and/or multiple attempts to get you enrolled in some type of loyalty programs with no option of getting a receipt unless you do? Well then, this is the place for you and your 20's-something Tinder date to enjoy an afternoon sitting across from each other in silence with both your faces buried in your phones. This place is Millennial AF. Pictures: The "Honeybar"which is a sma bowl of your choice of 3 fruits and honey with a selection of 2 toppings (granola, coconut flakes, chocolate) cost $5.90. It cost $.50 more for yogurt. Ours came with half a strawberry, 5 blueberries, and 1/4 of a banana. Omg. This place really thinks a lot of itself.

Sarah Z.

Yelp
The salad bowl is bigger then the stir fry noodles, it's more pricey than the salad bowl. It wasn't enough food for one person. Over all it was delicious the food.

Tracy B.

Yelp
One of our favorite places with healthy options. We order here at least 1-2 times a week. The portions have been slightly smaller this last month and a half.

Kathryn L.

Yelp
Hi HoneyG I home. Unintentionally, Chinatown had become my regular location (now closed), leading me here closer to home. Side note, I came here back in January 2018 for a Pre-Grand Opening event & got hooked on HG instantaneously. The tech-savvy touch screen panels makes it easy for customers to create signature salads & stir-fries with enormous options of proteins & sauces such as the Vegan red Coconut Curry. Speaking of which, the easy modifications allows everyone's preferences & palates to be indulged. Aside from here, other HG locations are in Pentagon City, Reston, & Tysons Corner. Star & her team of everything great, makes your experience even better while enjoying your personalized bowl of healthy, good food.

Joy B.

Yelp
Honeygrow is starting to grow on me. I was really impressed when I went this past week. I ordered the make your own stir fry. Vegetable lovers rejoice, you can add as many veggies as you like, and I piled them on. I added mushrooms, pea pods, green-red pepper, and scallions. They were stir fried perfectly, not over done, but crisp and fresh. I ordered chicken and shrimp. The shrimp are the tiny salad shrimp, I wasn't real excited. The chicken came in large chunks, that again was cooked fresh. It tasted delicious with my sesame garlic dressing. The whole process took about 10 minutes to order, pay, and go. I like the little kiosk machines and if you run into trouble, of course I did, then an employee will come over and help. I loved the fact that you could choose 2 proteins and three vegetables. I paid 50 cents extra for more veggies. It stayed warm on my ride home and was a very satisfying-healthy meal. All for $15 with my extras and tax. That makes it healthy for my wallet and my health. : )

Melanie Y.

Yelp
We had a yelp event here and I absolutely love the concept of healthy fast food. And when you combine that with noodles, what can go wrong?? The only thing that I was totally bummed at my third time here was the basil pesto noodle dish was gone. I yelled internally, noooooo!! I ordered the coconut curry noodles and it was tasty, but just not the same. I can't wait till the basil pesto noodle dish comes back to the menu!! I hope it's a seasonal thing and not a forever gone thing.

LaShawna S.

Yelp
So this was a lunch adventure with a co-worker, first time ever visiting a Honeygrow. Not sure what to order but thanks to Jose for helping me navigate the ordering kiosks and providing me suggestions. I ordered the seasonal crab bowl. I got my drink and found a table outside and by then they already called my number. My first thought was the noodles weren't the texture I was expecting. They were kinda harder and I wouldn't order the same kind of noodles again. My friend ordered the tofu bowl and I noticed she had a different type of noodle. But I thought the crab was tasty and maybe the flavor would have been good if I could get over the tough noodles! Was it a fluke? Are the noodles not usually that hard...I'm not sure. But I'll try one more time at this place and adjust my rating accordingly!

TaNeisha J.

Yelp
You like stir fry? How about adding your own veggies and proteins to your stir fry? What about fresh salad? And, let's not forget the dessert! If you said yes to all of those questions, Honeygrow might be the quick spot for you! I love Ramen, and I think I fell 'in like' with the simplicity of being able to order a customized stir fry dish with the noodle of my choice, veggies, and protein. I generally order the Sesame Garlic, but I customize it with egg white noodles, shrimp, carrots, broccoli, and sesame seeds. Ordering is a breeze; there are kiosks where you input your order, and pay by credit card. If you opt to pay cash, you have to take your receipt to an employee so that they can assist. I like this place because it's simply 'good' fast food...I know that sounds contradictory, but it's true! The ingredients are fresh and locally grown... But, my only gripe is the cost! $12 for a bowl of ramen and adding veggies could have you wondering why you just didn't go to a eat-in restaurant.

Dinh N.

Yelp
Went with this spot because I wanted to try a healthier stir fry. I got the spicy garlic noodles. They were pretty decent and tasted fresh and real. The sauce was a bit spicy but definitely enjoyable. It's a healthy alternative to regular noodles but probably not worth the price unless you are really yearning for some noodles.

Yelp
On January 17, 2018, I got an opportunity to check out honeygrow in Rockville - this date was their Soft Opening. They had a site set up online for folks to RSVP for a pass to show up at a certain time and I took advantage of that. I had arrived a bit early for my time, but decided to go in 15 min before they started and they allowed us to wait indoors although the event at our time hadn't started as yet - so cool of them. They made an announcement once the event started, and directed us to a line. I think they had about 4 or 5 screens where we either selected salad or stir fry choices - either pre-crafted ones or make up your own. I chose a pre-crafted one, but then altered it to my liking. I asked one of the employees if I could bread & a drink and they said yes. Never thought I would sit and eat a big bowl of salad, but that I did. The employees also went around and shared some drinks...3 juice choices in tiny containers (for a taste). After a while, the place got crowded, and so most folks that came later had to either take their dish to go or a few were able to grab spots from folks leaving. All in all, I had a good time at this Soft Opening.

Sahar R.

Yelp
Glad I checked out the soft opening of this restaurant. The restaurant will be open to the public on 1/18/18. As no surprise, it is another assembly line restaurant to compete with the plethora of CAVAs, ROTIs, Chipotle and Chopts of the area. This place is a little different though. Mainly because YOU CAN HAVE LESS HUMAN INTERACTION. HUGE SELLING POINT for an introvert like me. They had kiosks to order. This eliminates the needneed to shout out your order over a counter or point to things you want in your noodle and salad bowl cause the staff can't hear you. I ended up with the seasonal tahini garlic chicken noodle which was listed on the seasonal menu. I liked how on the screens I could easily substitute any part of my order. I ended up replacing rice noodles vs. wheat noodles and it was so easy to do. What I would have done differently is add more sauce. With the chickpeas and tahini, my bowl which still fantastic, ended up being a bit pasty and dry. I would urge you to up the sauce content. My coworker got the Red Coconut curry which was a little dry as well. Bowls averaged around $9-$11. They served main root sodas at the fountain and Hoisin and sriracha was available for condiments. As with any soft opening there were a few glitches (such as the computer systems freezing) but the staff was nice and addressed it promptly. I want to come back here to try the honeybar which has 3 fruits, 1 honey (or maple syrup), and 2 toppings of your choice.I'm not sure if it is intended to be like breakfast parfait or dessert but it looks good in the pictures. I'll had this to my lunchtime rotation.

Yelp
I don't think I have ever visited a Tasting/Grand Opening/Soft Opening restaurant that was ever seamless and perfect, until now. I realize this place is a chain, but they did a fantastic job with handling the crowd And serving up great food today. I ordered their Sesame Garlic stir fry (no deviations) and hubs got a customized salad. My stir fry was a tad heavy on the sauce, but I am sure you can change that and I'll def do that next time. Everything came out quick, hot (for my stir fry) and fresh! Staff were Uber friendly despite being so busy. Think of this place as a heartier portioned, healthier version of Noodles & Co. They've got options for people with allergies (i.e. gluten, dairy, etc). Love that you can customize anything/everything. Love the spacious and clean, modern decor. There's stuff I'm able to get for my tot to eat as well! We will def be back, thank you!

Yelp
It's sad when my $5.99 bottle of pressed juice is the best part of the meal. $10/bowl for mushy overcooked noodles swimming in sauces that taste odd and have a weird after taste. The extra hair in my food didn't help. $30 for lunch for two. Too expensive for what it was and left disappointed and hungry. Could've had a more fulfilling meal at lots of other Rockville restaurants for the same price.

Yelp
My initial posting was based on a pretty disappointing experince during my first visit and the food I received did not turn out to be a happy mistake. My next visit certainly turned things around. I did not want to come back, but my friend enjoyed it so much, she coerced me to give them another try. We were greeted and I was able to explain to the manager, AB that my first experience was a major pain. He insisted that I give honeygrow another try and he personally recommended one of his favorite stir fry combinations. Shrimp, egg, some greens and onions in their sesame garlic sauce was a perfect combo. His attentiveness and will to present honeygrow in such a positive light really struck me. He made me into a believer. The strawberry and banana combo with the clover honey and whipped cream was also a nice touch and truly appreciated. I still believe that with the location being new there should be someone to help assist newcomers. Customers should be greeted and helped if they are unsure of how to order. Once you get to the screens it is self-explanatory. The ingredients taste fresh, and the spicy garlic sauce is truly spicy... give it a few seconds and it will heat you right up. During the initial visit I ordered to go and after correcting the order one time, we ended up leaving with an incorrect order of chicken instead of shrimp. I wasn't a fan of the roasted chicken...it was a little tough and tasted scorched. Overall the portion size left us desiring more. The design is open with a decent amount of seating. The outdoor seating is a nice touch and seems to be shared with Cava customers as well. This will be great once the weather stabilizes.

Yelp
One year coming back to honeygrow bc I was looking for a quick lunch spot in Rockville & I had too much Cava at this point. It was time to switch it up and I'm glad I did! I think from my initial 2 visits last year, they were on their test run of how to prepare the bowls or something. I came again and pleasantly enjoyed it a lot! When I first came here my couple of times it seemed like whatever sauce I chose was poured onto my noodles afterwards. It made my noodles super bland and all the flavor/sauce fell only at the bottom of my bowl. This time around, they stir-fried the sauce and noodles altogether so it's piping hot and you can see the difference in photos last year when it looked bland. The noodles were flavored super well in the spicy garlic sauce I chose. I loved the level of spicy it was. After 3 toppings it gets expensive to still nickel & dime for each thing so I learned I gotta be selective with 3 toppings. I like the egg and it was $1 something extra. I love shrimp too but I am still skeptical of it being $5 extra. Maybe they give more now than before since they seem to have improved wonderfully. Either way, my opinion has changed and honeygrow will be a strong lunch option for me now!

Yelp
Delicious made to order "fast" food. You pick what you would like as your base, veggies, protein etc. or pick from menu items. Service was quick and friendly. You can pre-order using their app.

Yelp
I'll be honest, I'm not a frequent visitor of Honey Grow. After the Yelp event a year or so ago I really liked it but price wise it's a little more expensive than nearby locations (I'm looking at you CAVA). I stopped in because I wasn't feeling like CAVA but the line was intense! Even with several ordering machines it was taking forever. This is mostly due to a lot of people not knowing how to accurately use the machines. I recommend that at lunch time they keep a staff on the floor to assist. I ordered the Sesame Garlic stir fry with tofu. I enjoy the fact that you can add or subtract certain ingredients and I'm confident that my food will be correct. My meal was pretty expensive in comparison. I probably spent $4 more than a normal lunch. I'm all for spending more I'd the quality is better but unfortunately it wasn't. My food was SO salty and I couldn't finish it. Then I remembered why I'm not a frequent visitor- my food typically taste different every time I stop in. I wouldn't suggest Honey Grow to coworkers when trying to decide on lunch but I also wouldn't turn it down. It's kind of a hit or miss lunch spot.

Yelp
FLAVOR EXPLOSION ALERT Wow, first time here and it was delicious!! Loved the spiced ground turkey (no place has that!). The bowl perfectly blended for maximum flavor-blasts! Will definitely be back and craving this place until my return!

Yelp
I've always had a good experience at honeygrow. They have good vegan options and I'm always pleased at the end.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise! Glad to have another delicious food spot in the area! Located in the montrose crossing shopping area, honeygrow offers a new twist and full of flavors. Stopped by during the week for a quick dinner. The service was quick but some can say it's a little unusual. You walk in and immediately greeted by staff working in the kitchen. I was instructed to use the touch screen monitors to place my order. The staff were awesome in answering my questions. The menu and prompts were easy to follow plus the pictures enhanced every item. I ordered their seasonal dish. All the flavors were a great collaboration with each other. The stir fried noodles were cooked to perfection and the quantity was just the right amount. Honeygrow is a new modern twist on fast food! Would definitely come back for the great service and to try some of their other dishes. (They even have dessert options!)
