Our recent experience with ordering food from Honeygrow was the best experience we've ever had when it comes to ordering. We never cared for using their touch screens to order (and with COVID out there, the idea is even less appealing). Since we don't come here often, we end up having to ask for help when substituting ingredients. Often, we just went with the default menu items just because it was easier.
Well...This time we ordered delivery using GrubHub...and what a great experience! The online order form was easy to navigate when it came to substitutions or creating your own bowl.
I got the Avocado BLT salad which, in its default form, consists of: "Spicy ranch dressing, chopped romaine, crispy bacon, grape tomatoes, avocado, scallions, crumbled blue cheese, parmesan herbed breadcrumbs". I was able to change "chopped romaine" to "spring mix". Instead of "spicy ranch dressing", I got olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. Since I don't care much for parmesan cheese, I changed the croutons to foccacia herbed croutons. Also, I took out the bleu cheese crumbles.
My husband got the Cobb Salad which consists of: "white balsamic vinaigrette, chopped romaine, roasted chicken, hard-boiled egg, crispy bacon, apples, grape tomatoes, avocado, crumbled blue cheese". He changed his dressing to ranch dressing, removed the bleu cheese and added beets.
We both enjoyed our salads as they were properly made. From now on, even after normal or new normal arrives, when we want Honeygrow, we will order it online. Yes, it costs more than dining in but it's worth the extra money as it is a less stressful (well...to us, anyway) procedure.
