Honey’s, the chic and acclaimed restaurant and cocktail bar on Lake Street, announced its closure today following a chef change in December and scaled-back hours in early January. Despite the changes, the shutter comes with little warning. The project, which was originally reported in March 2016, brought together prolific local hospitality and nightlife vets, a chef with pedigree (former Sepia executive sous chef Charles Welch) and plans for a Michelin star, and Kanye West’s creative director Virgil Abloh. I came here with 5 of my girlfriends for our regular Wednesday ladies night. We came early (5:45) and sat at a table in the bar. The restaurant is beautiful. It feels luxurious and rich, but still down to earth and approachable. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable. They are also incredibly attentive. We ordered quite a few dishes to share. I'm a vegetarian (my friends are not) but we decided to go with all vegetarian options. There are many on the menu, so if you are looking for a great vegetarian friendly place, Honey's won't disappoint. We tried the delicata squash appetizer, the spit roasted cauliflower, the grilled romaine caesar, the israeli cous cous and the marinated kale, as well as the carrot cake for dessert. My favorite was the cauliflower, but not by much. Everything tasted amazing and I had to order a second serving of the kale because I felt like I did not eat enough of it. The carrot cake seasoned with garam masala was awesome. I highly recommend this place. Go check it out.

Beautiful establishment. Fabulous service. Amazing food. We were in agreement that it was probably the best meal we had in 2016. The drinks were tasty... I enjoyed the Bae of Bengal and Smoke it Up. For me, the cauliflower and beef tartare were the highlight of the meal. The duck included a dolma with duck thigh meat... so yummy! Dessert was an amazing blend of flavors, chocolate with the spices of lebkuchen cookies.

Loved our entire dinner experience! Knowledgeable, approachable, professional staff that was very easy to talk to. Our food was fantastic as well as seasonal cocktails designed by the chef himself. The bar ambience is 5 - star as well.

Went on date night with my wife, and was the great place to go when you are continuing the evening. The staff is nice, without being pushy, and even on a busy saturday night, we were able to make a reservation and be seated. Music was hip, and went with the vibe of the restaurant. Look forward to our next visit!

Honey's gets a 5 star. The resturant decor is beautiful, wait staff is attentive, but what you really come for is the food and the food was amazing. The cocktails are perfect. I can't wait to come back to Honey's soon. I am so happy with my experience! Chef Charles even stopped by our table and he was nice and knowledgeable.
