"Congee & Noodles House lives up to its straightforward name with nearly a dozen different kinds of porridge and over 30 varieties of noodles on the menu. In addition to its two namesake items, the grab-and-go spot’s deli case offers a few desserts like silken tofu with ginger syrup and slices of sponge cake." - Cathy Chaplin

This place is unassuming, but then they sucker punch you with HANDS DOWN the BEST WONTON NOODLES EVER. I have yet to eat more perfect wonton noodles with dumplings. The broth is simple and clean and delicious and the dumplings are amazinngggg as well. I have gotten multiple dishes here and have had the most awesome taste bud adventures. If you're not a noodle person (le gasp), you can't go wrong with the curry and the hainan chicken. I don't know how they do it. The food is rich in flavor but I don't feel greasy or anything after eating it. I guess it's just super fresh ingredients, homemade, and skillfully cooked food. Try it to believe it!!

Hole in the wall, hidden gem, mom & pop vibes! they take card! I can't get over these egg noodles in this wonton mein! seems like most places serve it up clumped together and you need to split your chopsticks to break them apart - BUT NOT HERE. they are silky and bouncy! and the soup is nicely flavored, enhancing everything in the dish. you also get four big wontons filled with plump shrimp and pork. I also love their hainan chicken, well seasoned, and the filet mignon has a nice kick. Nice selection of traditional asian dessert options in individual serving sides (tofu pudding with ginger syrup, "che thai", ube tofu, etc.) and they also sell their wontons/dumplings frozen + noodles in packages. parking is available on the street! limited seating, but a lot of folks are doing takeaway!

Google
Yum! Clean, simple Hong Kong comfort dishes for take out. Their $11.95 dumpling egg noodle soup was amazing! They have both yellow wrapped (Hong Kong style) wonton, and white wrapped (Shanghai style) dumpling. I got confused thinking dumplings was regular dumplings, but I think they mean white wrapped wontons. They also sell frozen wontons (50pc) $27 for wontons, $30 for white skin wontons/they call dumplings. Takes credit card. $11.95 Dumpling Soup includes 8 dumplings. If you want noodles, then it'll include 4 dumplings with a choice of noodles (flat, vermicelli, or egg). The dumplings are white wontons. $4-$6 Herbal, dessert drinks to fresh tofu. My $4.95 Green bean and seaweed dessert was refreshing, and anti-inflammatory. Looking forward to trying more items like their regular wontons, beef dishes, $12.95 hainan chicken on rice, and $9.95+ congee. Apparently their receipt says Congee & Noodle House (previously what their business was called?). Located next to a water refill place if wanted to also refill there.

Google
Wow. This place is so nostalgic!!! First of all the hainan chicken is perfectly cooked. Even without using the dipping sauce, it is incredibly tasty. A good portion too. LOVE. And we took home two gallon sized bags of frozen dumplings and wontons. They were easy to pop in a boiling pot and taste so good. The fillings were generous. We will absolutely be back to this mom and pop shop. One of the owners ran the front of house and she was so sweet. Such a gem in Monterey Park.

Google
Their chicken rice is top notch. Not much service since it’s a Mom and pop shop. Would come back again!

Yelp
unassuming mom and pop shop that i know i'll be returning to very soon! i was needing lunch and stumbled onto this place with a quick yelp search. i called in my order (in cantonese) to-go and my order was already waiting for me when i arrived. when i entered, there was no one outside to assist me but shortly after, a man (maybe the owner?) stepped out to ring me up. the short wait gave me time to peruse their refrigerated items, which included herbal tea, milk tea, vietnamese coffee, various cantonese desserts (red bean soup, tofu pudding, ginger milk pudding), gluten puffs, and fresh noodles, etc - all of which look housemade and incredibly tempting. they also sell frozen hk wontons! jury's out on how the wontons are, but will try next time. i'm partial to beef stew noodle so that's what i opted for. i just came back from hong kong and hong's noodles and beef were definitely up there for me and one of the better ones i've had in sgv in a looong time. the meat and tendon were tender. veggies were crunchy. and the noodles!! perfectly crisp and crunchy as bamboo noodles should be. everything was packaged nicely and in a small paper bag, which i found totally unexpected as most places give flimsy plastic bags. their packaging is definitely more sustainable and more expensive. street parking is available, but very limited. i wound up parking at the jade plaza next door.

Yelp
Ambiance: ordered takeout so I can't speak on the interior design Service: lady who took my order was kind while taking my order, read it back, all of our orders were correct Food: As someone who eats hong kong style food often, the noodles are authentic. Great texture of slight chew and bite to the noodles, beautiful honey comb tripe, and bouncy shrimp in the wonton. I do believe it's decently portioned for the price, I even had leftover noodle and was full. I didn't really taste the sauce come through for the lo mein, but I prefer it being like this than doused in oyster sauce. Surprised that the lo mein came with soup, but I think it taste more like bouillon than actual chicken stock. Overall, authentic hong kong food that is filling, and decently priced.

Ray C.

Yelp
This place took me back to my childhood in Hong Kong - the wontons were tasty and fresh! I also tried their beef stews and tripes. The tendons, stews, and tripes were cooked perfectly. I'll come back to try their other dishes! Yin is very sweet and attentive!

Edward S.

Yelp
Hong Coffee & Bakery looks like a coffee shop with just a few tables and nice curtains, but you really need to come here for the wonton noodle soup. Next time, I'll have to check out the Hainan chicken and some of the desserts. Also, thanks to Cindy S for the great recommendation! Wonton & Beef Stew Noodle Soup: The soup is not your typical wonton soup. It's rich and full of flavor. I suspect it borrows from the Hainan chicken broth or used it outright. The wontons are on the small side, but the pork and shrimp are really juicy and tender. The stewed beef brisket deserves top marks. The beef chunks and tendons are perfectly succulent, tender throughout, without turning to mush. Beef Stew with Wonton Lo Mein: I've never had wonton without soup. This dish is a deconstruction. The soup is in a separate bowl with the same beef and wontons. Lo mein is chewier than your average noodle. The spoonfuls of oyster sauce in the noodles are savory and packed with umami goodness. Ordering: Order at the counter, and then they'll bring the food to your table. Parking: There's some street parking in front.

Eunice C.

Yelp
5- stars for the wonton or dumplings and/or beef stew noodles soup! Noodles was al dente. I have gone back to get their frozen wontons and dumplings to cook at home. Love them.

Cho L.

Yelp
This hole in the wall mom & pop place is the closest thing you could get the real Hong Kong style wontons and noodles from. There's only a few tables in store but I would usually buy wontons and cook at home. Each wonton is solidly packed with ingredients ! You can tell that someone knows exactly what a true HK style wonton tastes like. Trust me you won't be disappointed! Parking: There is street parking and there's a parking lot West of the restaurant.

Yelp
As a long time denizen of the SGV, I've had my share of HK-style Cantonese noodle soups. I've had them with (and without) char siu; I've had them with (and without) wontons. I've even had them with both char siu AND with wontons. In all versions, there's always a stalk of gai lan, or chinese brocolli. That said, I've never been a huge fan of these noodles that are so ubiquitous in the SGV. Every time I've ordered this dish, I've always felt the broth had this, what I like to call, funk. The broths always had this one little hiccup to ultimate enjoyment. It's not a bad funk, like walking into a gym after wrestling practice, but more like a speed bump to tastiness. The broth here is full speed tasty all the way. It's so nicely flavored and -- to me -- smooth. Some other reviewers mentioned that it's because they also make Hainan chicken here. Regardless of the reason why their broth is so delicious, this soup will make anything that swims around in it taste better-- noodles, dumplings, or wontons (no char siu here) this broth even livens up the gai lan. Most of the time I don't even bother with the soup, but I'd happily drink this soup on its own. The dumplings and wontons are no slouches either. They are perfectly seasoned and the flavor's well balanced. Someone obviously knows what they're doing back in the kitchen. (The dumplings are available for sale as well) The other thing we appreciate about their noodles were the noodles themselves. Usually, the egg noods are clumped up into a carbo-loaded yarn ball. These noodles broke apart with little coaxing (and we got our to-go) The non-noodle dish we ordered was the filet mignon cubes. They were well-seasoned and very tender, but just a small caveat-- they are stir-fried with jalapeños so they will have a noticeable kick. The filet mignon plate includes steamed white rice and Chinese style pickled cabbage. This mom and pop restaurant on the north side of Garvey is small. Definitely not suited for groups. Most orders, like ours, were to-go. This hole in the wall doesn't not have its own lot. Parking is on the street. The folks who run this low key hidden gem are also super nice. There are also Chinese desserts in their refrigerated display case. We didn't try any. Their noodle soups might be all you really need.

Cindy S.

Yelp
One of the BEST wonton noodle soup I have had in a while in LA. Wontons here are bite size mix of shrimp and pork that are so juicy and plump. Perfect ratio and size. The broth for soup is very flavorful and clean without being fishy. Noodles are bouncy and chewy. Worth a mention: the Stewed beef with Tripe Lo-Mein is delicious! I absolutely love Hong Coffee and Bakery (that's how they spell the business name). Definitely looking forward to trying more dishes in the future. It's a humble storefront serving Cantonese comfort food and they know what they are doing! It's mostly set-up for takeout; if you dine-in, there are a few tables and the food are served in takeout containers; again the food is fantastic here. The chef-owner is the kindest guy. *CASH only *Parking is Street-only.

I accidentally found this place when refilling water next door. This place was never opened, or seemed open to the public before. Thought they just served b2b/restaurants only.

Yelp
A family friend told us about a new restaurant in Monterey Park that served the "Best Wonton Noodles" in Los Angeles, but was unable to give us their English name nor its location. I spent days driving up and down Garvey looking for this restaurant, and finally found this gem near Garvey x Alhambra Avenue. Ordered the Wonton and Dumplings Noodles, and they are cooked to perfection. Loved both the wontons and the dumplings. Also ordered the Pork Liver Congee, but was not too crazy about it. The Pork Liver itself was overcooked, so I am going to skip on it next time. The owners were friendly and chatty, and highly recommended the Tofu Pudding and the Hainan Chicken, so that will be next on my "To-Try" List. If you like their Wontons and Dumplings, they also have frozen packages for sell too.

Daniel C.

Yelp
The food was savory. Meat was chewy and well seasoned, along with white onions and herbs. Rice and pickled cabbage on the side is good too. Service was quick. 10 minutes and to-go out. Ambiance is small shop but well kept.

Truman W.

Yelp
5 stars for the absolutely delicious WONTON SOUP ($12). 8 juicy plump shrimp wonton, lots of chinese greens and delicious pork bone broth. They also sell bag of 50 frozen wontons for $27 (cash only). When it comes to wontons, no one does it better than the Hongkongers (not the Taiwanese nor the Shanghainese). My picks for best Cantonese shrimp wontons in the 626 SGV: this place and ABC Cafe (on Garfield & Garvey). Look for the name "Hong Coffee & Bakery" on the storefront, adjacent to T-Mobile store.

Emily W.

Yelp
I think that Hong Coffee & Bakery is more accurately a fairly small family-owned diner that is really good for takeout because there aren't too many tables. It's quaint, and the Hainan chicken rice is pretty good. The owners were friendly and recommended desserts for us when we asked for recs. We'd come again for the chicken rice but probably won't be dining in again because of the limited space.

Connie L.

Yelp
The wonton noodle soup is legit, tastes really authentic. The wontons were pretty big, filled with pork & shrimp. It had really good seasoning. Beef tendon was good too, pretty soft. The noodles was al dente, perfectly chewy & bouncy. One of the best wonton noodles I had. Def recommend giving this a try! Def will come back.

Chelsea C.

Yelp
The real name of this place is Hong Coffee & Bakery and looks like its still in their soft opening phase. The owners probably haven't claimed their yelp page to change the name? They do not have their menu displayed, so I was confused when I entered and thought it was just coffee and asian desserts. They should leave their menus out. The food is packed to go, but they do have a few tables available to be seated. Food: I ordered the wonton noodle soup and the Hainan chicken rice. I really enjoyed their wontons & I'll come back to buy their frozen wontons which I have never done before at other dumpling houses. The Hainan chicken is tender and pretty standard and comes with pickled veggies. Friendly staff and street parking available. Will come back for the wontons!

Camille R.

Yelp
Heard their wonton noodle soup had really bouncy noodles, and I love wonton soup, so I had to try it for myself. When I saw they were in Monterey Park on Garvey, I was glad it was so close, so I stopped in. The man at the register took my order and asked if I was going to eat it there or take it to go. I opted for there since there was AC and in the 90s outside. The dining area was small, and the interior primary colors were dark blue with white. The broth for the soup was heavenly! And the noodles were so perfect and bouncy. I only wish I had more. The wontons were stuffed with shrimp and tasted very fresh. I saw some tofu with ginger syrup in their fridge and asked for some to take home. Gonna come back and try the Hainan chicken next! For being titled coffee and bakery, you wouldn't expect them to have such good savory dishes. It should be called a cafe, since it has all these things!

Dirk B.

Yelp
Ever since Sam Woo Barbecue closed down at San Gabriel Square, I've been looking for places that serve authentic Cantonese wonton noodle. Hong Coffee & Bakery came really close to be the next best in town by using wonton noodle directly from Hong Kong, Cantonese dumpling made with traditional recipes. I wish the soup base can be made with dried flatfish and served with yellow chives but according to the owner, dried flatfish sold in LA basically are low quality and cost will be too high to bring in the high quality dried flatfish from Hong Kong, but overall it is high quality authentic wonton noodle served in a small mom-and-pop store with attentive service. Really enjoyed it

Shannon H.

Yelp
Today I tried the Hainan chicken and wonton with brisket. I opted for adding 4 wontons for a few more dollars. Everything was so flavorful! The chicken was slightly chilled which is perfect for a summer night.

Jaclyn Y.

Yelp
We ordered the hainan chicken rice, which comes with one soy sauce based dipping sauce and one ginger based sauce. It also comes with some pickled radish and cabbage, which is sweet and tangy. The rice is more of a broken rice texture. The dark meat pieces of chicken were so tender, but the white meat pieces were dry. A decent spot but not my go to for hainan chicken. Bonus for no line and lots of parking.

Yvonne C.

Yelp
Saw this fairly new spot on Ubereats and decided to give it a try. I got their wonton and beef tripe noodle. I really liked their wontons, it was pretty good flavor wise. They didn't skimp out on anything either. They also sell frozen wontons here. I'd come back and have this again!

Tiffany L.

Yelp
Wow. This place is so nostalgic!!! First of all the hainan chicken is perfectly cooked. Even without using the dipping sauce, it is incredibly tasty. A good portion too. LOVE. Yelp
This place is delicious! Food price and portion is great. Hainan Chicken and Rice and the black pepper fillet mignon are delicious! Their soup dumplings are also huge in size and very juicy!

Chee K.

Yelp
Well, that was amazing. Was a bit dubious at first over the 5 star rating... but dang, their rating is definitely well earned. Food was excellent. Service was adequate. Seating was limited. But none of that matters because the food was so fluffin meowgical.

Di W.

Yelp
I put an order online and it was super easy to pick up. It's super clean and bright inside. Friendly and helpful services. Most importantly, the food were exceptionally delicious! I'm so glad I picked this mom and pop's restaurant instead of the usual Hong Kong cafe restaurants nearby. Wontons, beef, beef tripes, noodles.. everything were top notch. And, don't skip the desert, they were all so delicious. We don't live near 626 but you bet we will come back to this place next time when we are in the area :)

Nicole G.

Yelp
This review is currently only based off their frozen dumplings. 50pcs for $30 and you'll get some of the biggest, juiciest, and flavorful frozen dumplings around. The skin is so incredibly thin and tender! Huge pieces of shrimp inside, with pork and woodear mushrooms for that wonderful crunch. My parents vouch for the wonton noodles here and say it's the best they've had in ages. Nothing else like a hearty homey bowl of soup when you're feeling down.

Yan W.

Yelp
I found out about this new restaurant during the Monterey Park CNY Festival so decided to try it out today. It's located on Garvey Ave next to Kwan Lac Bakery. Parking was an issue because they didn't have a parking lot. You may park on the street or in a plaza close by. We were wondering why it's called Hong Coffee & Bakery because their name used to be Congee & Noodles House and they were newly opened not long ago. Anyhow, we asked the lady (owner) that is it a bakery or can we order hainan chicken rice. She said they have noodles, congee, and Hainan chicken rice but it's NOT supposed to have dine-in on weekdays; however, today is the weekend so she said it's okay. This place was small with limited sitting (3 tables), it seemed like a coffee & bakery place. However, we checked out the menu, they have a lot of food items such as congee, noodle soup, rice, Lo mein, etc. We were craving for Hainan chicken so we ordered a whole Hainan chicken ($26.95) for 3 of us instead of ordering individual Hainan chicken rice ($12.95 each). We also ordered some plain Hainan rice (oily rice) for $3 each. The former name of this place is known for congee as well so we also ordered preserved egg with shredded pork congee ($9.95). The owner gave us some preserved veggies as a complimentary appetizer. We like it a lot. The Hainan chicken (whole chicken) was huge. It was flavorful, juicy, smooth, and delicious. She also gave us ginger and their homemade fish sauce but I was not a fan of their sauces, they were not authentic. And I wish their Hainan rice was more soft and flavorful. But guess what, we finished the WHOLE Hainan Chicken! The preserved egg with shredded pork congee was very yummy. It had a lot of preserved eggs and shredded pork inside. The congee flavor was on point. We also bought 2 bags of Preserved Fruits -Dried Plums ($6 each), they were salty and sweet. My hubby likes it so much. They also sell frozen wontons (50 pcs) and frozen dumplings (50 pcs) for about $27-$30. It's an interesting place. I'm not sure about their business concept but they have good food. It's a hidden gem! Not sure we would dine in because it was pretty small or maybe I order the food for to-go. We would like to try their other food such as wonton noodles, beef-stew Lo mein, and desserts next time.

Kevin L.

Yelp
Unassuming little shop with a top tier hainan chicken! Their chicken and rice goes toe to toe with the big players (savoy, etc etc) and I can only guess that their other stuff (wonton noodle soup!) is just as good. Thanks for a yummy lunch!

Norman L.

Yelp
Best Cantonese food place. Their wonton is the best in town. I love their beef tripe noodle soup. Great customer service. Owners are very friendly. Give them a try. Support small local business

Tonny V.

Yelp
Their new name is Hong Coffee & Bakery. You can do street parking or park in the small plaza next to it. Always someone there to greet you and help you order. It's a small cafe with 2 small tables and one big table for 4-5 people. Their price is ok, but also the portion is small. They have everything in togo containers. I ordered shrimp wonton noodle soup and it was good. I also tried their ginger custard and I really like it. Will come back to try other items.

Maggie T.

Yelp
Love their Wonton and the customer service! I live in San Fernando Valley. My hubby loves wonton, so I have been searching the best wonton in LA. This is by far one of the best. I love dumplings, so I bought one bag of dumplings to try. However, I am not used to the wood ear and the sesame seed in the dumplings. I also like the ginger and milk pudding. I can taste the ginger. Because of their good customer service, I will continue to try other stuff.

Don S.

Yelp
Previous 2 visits, we brought their frozen wontons and dumplings, both were excellent! Decided to try dining in this time, what a mistake. They are not setup or prepared for dining in customers, extremely short handed. No condiments on the few tables they have, they will bring over their to go portions of hot sauce and vinegar when asked, limited size. Whole restaurant ONLY HAS ONE bottle of white pepper that we have to share between tables. Everything served in disposable plastic containers for dining in. We had to wait close to 30 mins for our Dumpling noodles soup and beef with rice. The dumplings are good as usual, just like their frozen to go version. However, the most important soup base was disappointing. After reading all the excellent reviews regarding their broth, we were not impressed, it lacks the traditional Cantonese fish/seafood flavor. Worse of all, overloaded with sesame oil! The lady who told care of us was nice but she was overwhelmed. Btw, the beef with rice was very good, 4/5 stars. Broth was 2/5 stars. Dining service and ambience 1/5 stars. In summary, get their frozen dumplings and wontons, never dine in

Aaron S.

Yelp
Hands down the best noodle soup I've ever had. Service was attentive and the food was made fresh (took ~10 min). The place is relatively small (~4 tables), but didn't ever feel claustrophobic. Will definitely be returning for their different noodle soups!

Michelle W.

Yelp
Garvey Street has many restaurants and driving through this mysterious street can be a bit overwhelming when you're hungry. Sometimes you might find a place where you may question why they have 5 stars while you are in the bathroom praying for dear life and questioning your adventurous decisions. But here my friends, Hong Coffee and Bakery would not be a place that. It's tucked between two units that you could easily miss if you don't pay attention. When you step inside Hong Coffee & Bakery, there might be a slight confusion of "Where's the coffee and bakery?" and don't worry, I think that's normal and even better because you know you're at the right place. This place is a no-frills fancy sit-down place and I love that. Like everyone's suggestion, I ordered the Wonton Noodle soup, Beef Stew Lo Mein, and Hainan Chicken Rice. I made a grave mistake by looking at what dessert they had; suddenly, time had stopped when I saw they had Ginger Milk Pudding. Of course, I added that along with durian pudding and peach gum pudding. This took about 10 mins to make and I enjoyed it at home. I thought the noodles would be soggy by then but to my surprise, when I added the soup to my noodles and that first bite, boy was I one happy fat kid. The noodles had a springy bouncy taste to it. The broth was simple, clean, and divine. The wonton was also quite good but the soup and noodles won my heart. The Beef Stew was tender and flavorful which accommodated the noodle's texture. The Hainan chicken rice left me speechless as the rice was aromatic and flavorful. The chicken was moist and the condiments for the chicken were good. Pickled cabbage, carrots, and daikon come with the rice and there was a great crunch and tang to the pickle veggies and a balance to cut the flavor as a cleansing palate. If you have room, try the ginger pudding. The pudding had enough ginger, sweetness, and texture to sit perfectly in every bite. I would love to have this every day. The owners are super sweet and easy to talk to and though there are only 3 tables to sit down and eat, I wouldn't mind taking my lunch break here and slowly enjoying a simple delicious meal at Hong Coffee & Bakery.

connie k.

Yelp
this place has gluten puffs. REPEAT THIS PLACE HAS HK GLUTEN PUFFS. I can't breathe, I'm crying at how my dreams came true.

Ken W.

Yelp
Come enjoy some Hong Kong style breakfast and afternoon bites. The wontons are on point with a nice bouncy pork and shrimp filling. The broth sparked memories of meals long ago with the subtle shrimp flavor. The classic HK milk tea is balanced and satisfying. The dining area is quaint with two window side tables that can accommodate two to three guests each. There is a four top as well, for those with a bigger party. There are more desserts and drinks in the cooler for grab and go, or to enjoy a simple break from a busy day. Hong Coffee & Bakery is a welcomed spot in this part of Monterey Park.

Larry H.

Yelp
This is mainly a take-out place for beef stew, Hainan chicken rice, noodles and congees with a few tables for inside seating. In spite of a limited menu, you can expand it by ordering a la cart portions of chicken, beef stew, curry, vegetables, rice and so on. Most important of all, the foods here are really good - the ingredients are fresh and the tastes are authentic. They are definitely better than those offered by many of the larger and more elaborate restaurants. The lady who takes orders is friendly and easy to talk to. There is no parking lot, but it is only a couple of stores away from a strip mall. Finally, you may want to know that at the time of writing, the English name of the restaurant is no indication of its main business.

James M.

Yelp
This was my first visit here. Tried their wonton & beef stew noodle and Lai Wan style congee today. Both were good and tasty. Will be back to try their other dishes.

Bryan V.

Yelp
hong coffee and bakery they got some good frozen wonton just boil them up and add some can soup u got your self some home made wonton soup they just as good as the one they sell at sam woo hong coffee good eats yelp on yelpers!!!

Lausy L.

Yelp
Read the reviews and gave it a try. I was not disappointed at all. Best wonton noodle I've had since 1978 when I lived in SF and was a 10 year old brat. Maybe when I was in Hong Kong in 1997. This place is worth making a trip to. I'm surprised this place is not overcrowded with people. I'm assuming they will need to expand soon if word properly got out. They also import the dried fruits (orange peels, kumquat, etc). It's called "hom sup" stuff. All very good. I bought 8 bags, lol... Old school Hong Kong sh** here. Wish I lived in Monterey Park so I can eat here a few times a week. The noodles were also very good and chewy for being so thin.

Phil T.

Yelp
Check out this newly opened restaurant serving classic comfort food items. We ordered the beef stew lo mein, which was soft and tender. The Hainan chicken was silky smooth, accompanied by thick cut pickled veggies providing a crunchy contrast. Looking forward to tasting the wonton noodle soup and congee next time. Currently in soft open mode so no dine in just yet, take out only.

Kevin L.

Yelp
Intimate restaurant that was recommended by a friend. Walked in today and was pleasantly surprised how CLEAN this place is. Service was quick and friendly. Food was tasty and for a quick bite, a definite must try.

Yelp
I have found the best beef stew wonton noodles soup in SGV since Harlam's Kitchen changed ownership. The soup alone is delicious that won't any Hoisin. It's a small place that would sit 9 customers. They also sell frozen wonton and a few desserts. And they accept credit cards. Please try them out.

Yelp
They need to post some images on their window, that is why they have no business. The frozen wonton are secret menu

Yelp
hole in the wall place that is better for take out as there are only 3 tables. despite the name, no much bakery goods. stir fry filet mignon with rice is delish! bought both their frozen dumplings and wontons. both r good and are big with fillings. I prefer the dumplings. I have tried their mung bean dessert and another cantonese dessert. excellent. friendly service. parking is street but in often part in the little plaza just west of their location.

Yelp
Hainan chicken, rice is ok. Not as much depth in flavor. The chicken is cold style salty chicken. It's a little saltier than I'd like. Got a mix of dumplings and wonton no noodles. Both were just ok. When I got towards the end of the meal, the saltiness was getting to me. Great service, cute small spot. I won't likely come back since there are other places that make each dish better.

Yelp
Best hainan chicken I have tried. The owners super nice. I requested dark meat and also mixed dumplings and wonton and they actually made it for me. So happy that I tried this place. Also love their desserts.

Yelp
- wonton lo mein with oyster sauce - noodles are amazing, wish they gave more wontons - shrimp wonton noodle soup - broth is so good (seems to be cooked for a long time) and wontons are tasty, fresh noodles - stir fried filet mignon with white rice - veey tasty - steamed ginger milk custard - not terrible but not spectacular , not a strong ginger flavor - tofu pudding - decent - tamale (zongzi) - not a stand out - lai wan style congee - not that flavorful, wouldn't eat it again Definitely would come back for wonton dishes, the best wontons I have had so far in SGV and they sell their fresh noodles. They sell frozen wontons as well.

Yelp
Was looking for a lunch spot and saw that this place was new on Yelp so I decided to stop by and give them a try. Wow the food was really delicious! Service was also excellent and all the staff was really nice. Seems like everyone spoke English as well as Mandarin and also Cantonese. It's a casual spot with limited seating. I'll definitely be back to try the congee and wontons as well as the desserts.
