"This giant supermarket and food court has two signs out front, and neither of them use its actual name. But whether you call it Food Connection (because that’s what it says on the awning), Super 88 (because that’s what’s on the huge billboard that you can see halfway down Comm Ave in Allston), or Hong Kong Supermarket, because you’re an annoying pedant who looked up its actual name, you’ll find a lot of really good, really affordable Asian food stalls here. The best deals may be at Pho Viets, where a huge banh mi costs just $5.65." - dan secatore
"Taiwanese chain TKK Fried Chicken is now open at the Super 88 (1 Brighton Ave.)." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal
"Terrence B. Doyle's constant source of nourishment, especially for pho at Pho Viet’s and Uyghur food at Silk Road Express." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal
"The Super 88 food hall is already one of the best places to eat in greater Boston. Adding delicious fried chicken to the mix will only make that more true." - Terrence Doyle
"This Asian food hall is full of gems, and it’s a no-brainer for any food-obsessed pair looking for a date spot in Allston. It also doesn’t limit those on a first date to one cuisine type. Try the banh mi at Pho Viet’s, or grab some Uyghur cuisine — and specifically the dry-fried noodles with beef — at Silk Road Express. There’s no booze, but that’s fine — Allston is lousy with dive bars, so a night cap in Rat City won’t be hard to find." - Terrence Doyle
