San Francisco’s New Restaurant Openings

"Emeryville’s Honor Kitchen just reopened after a 20-month hiatus and a big renovation—so now, you can sip cocktails under the atrium, or huddled around a fire pit. The upscale tavern menu includes hearty American dishes like roasted bone marrow, sweet chili lamb riblets, and lobster ceviche." - ricky rodriguez, julia chen 1

16 Strong Cocktail Bars in the East Bay

"In an unassuming building at the intersection of Emeryville and Oakland lies Honor Kitchen, a craft cocktail spot lurks. Honor bills itself as a “gastropub,” with food items like bone marrow brulee and fried chicken. Really though, it’s all about the cocktails and hilariously good list of spirits, including a selection of Pappy Van Winkles." - Dianne de Guzman, Ellen Fort

I so glad I stopped in. The service is warm and friendly and I really enjoyed being seated at the bar. While looking over the menu I found so many options and was pleasantly impressed with what I ordered. Please order the short ribs! Falling apart tender and so flavorful. Ir was the perfect comfort meal. I will be back. Fun Fact: Outdoor seating is ample and each area has a fire pit!

Google
Honor Kitchen Speakeasy bar is so warm and inviting. They have drink ingredients stylishly displayed on the bar front. It's such a modern throwback touch. Our server, Ree, was the best. The short ribs were delicious, as were our cocktails. The restaurant area is open and airy. The front sitting area with fire pits looks comfortable and fun. It was a great atmosphere, great drinks, and good food--top 10 all around.

The ambience at this place is remarkable. They did a great job with their renovation first time here since the rebuilt.. The place has fire pits in the front parking lot in the back. They have a wine bar in the front of full bar in the back, which is very dimly lit with candles on the tables, beautiful bar, very cozy, clean and comfortable. The decor is beautiful the table settings, the paint on the wall had a lot of character. The staff was very friendly. We had happy hour. I had a champagne with a cherry, which was 8$ had a pizza on a board like a flatbread 9$ Great price That’s the happy hour price between 3 PM and 6 PM ordered a French onion soup. It was very good. My Husband had a burger and fries. The burger could’ve been larger, you have to pay five dollars extra for friesbut it was tasty it didn’t fill My Husband stomach He said it was too small. I like more cheese on my pizza. The service was excellent you have so many different rooms you can attend. The bathrooms are beautiful and clean. Location is great. The restaurant sits on a little island . With them closing a lot of landmarks like Chevy’s, Hs Lord ships Emeryville needed something to add to the neighborhood and I think this place is it.. to the owner well done Btw Great selection of music - Love It

I ordered the ahi tuna bowl. The avocado hummus that was on it wasn't for me but the rest of it was delicious! The service was great and a very nice atmosphere. My husband and son enjoyed their meals, too.

Had a great time at the special Rombauer food and wine pairing dinner last night. The four of us started with a HH cocktail on the patio. Highly recommend the lavender lemon drop. It was well-balanced, not overly sweet, and $10 during HH! Except for the beef that was way overcooked, the rest of our meal was delicious, and all of our wine pairings were excellent! Who knew chardonnay could pair well with raw beef?!?? We left with 6 bottles of the Sauvignon Blanc and our friends bought 6 bottles of the Chardonnay/Sauvignon Blanc to take home. It was fun learning about the winery's history and how/why they selected the pairings. We had a great time and definitely want to return to eat at the restaurant!

If you're in a group or single, you need to come here. I came here for a graduation dinner on 6/11, but was the first one to arrive. They took great care of me. It was late and they held the kitchen open for my party. The food and were amazing!! I will definitely come back again when I visit Emeryville, CA. Please stop by!!!!

Yelp
We had an absolutely amazing experience here! Service was exceptional and food was delicious! Perfect spot for date night, family dinner, or brunch. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
My first time back at Honor Kitchen since they reopened after the pandemic. I came in expecting a solid meal, but they took my expectations, deep-fried them, and drizzled them with deliciousness. I ordered the chicken and waffles. In turn, they ordered my taste buds to the culinary dance floor. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and nomtastic. My friend had the huevos rancheros, and from the way she was aggressively defending her plate, I assume they were also fire. Speaking of my friend, it was her birthday. Honor Kitchen came through with a next-level bread pudding with plantain and even included a birthday card signed by the staff. That definitely earned me some free brownie--I mean bread pudding--points. :-) Service was solid. The restaurant is beautiful. Apparently, the speakeasy bar in the back is open till midnight? It's a great late-night date idea. If you're in Emeryville and NOT eating here, my condolences!

Yelp
I came here with some work friends a few weeks ago, and it was great! The ambience was hip and comfortable, the food was great, and the service was excellent! I highly recommend it recommend to anyone. The parking situation is my only complaint.

Yelp
Honor Kitchen is a gem! We stopped by for drinks, and they absolutely delivered. Their cocktails are creative and delicious--I loved the *Smoke & Honey* and *The Dude Abides* (a clarified White Russian with Thai tea). The food was just as impressive, with standout dishes like the *Bucket O' Yard Birds* (fried chicken) and *Crispy Brussels Sprouts*. The *Purple Haze Pie* pizza with goat cheese and fig jam was a unique treat! The service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance is fantastic--industrial yet cozy, with a cool speakeasy vibe. Parking can be a bit tricky, but it's worth the effort. Highly recommend for creative drinks, great food, and a fun atmosphere!

Yelp
PARKING it's located in the back of the restaurant area. You then have to walk around either from the left or to the right. Going to the left is the official walkway to the front of the restaurant, but if you go towards the right, you have to walk through some plants. There is a nice mural on the side of the restaurant. INSIDE is newly renovated with a modern warehouse industrial prohibition feel to it. There is a lot of seating and some couch like seating in front of the big TVs that are framed with gold borders. There is a bar area on one end, and for those who knew this restaurant before they kept the original bar in the back through some double doors. FOOD the food was delicious. The calamari was yummy. Although I wish the portion was bigger. The breakfast pizza was surprisingly good! I don't think I have ever had a breakfast pizza before, and I thought that was a creative idea. I enjoyed the brussels sprouts and would order them again. STAFF the service was good and everyone was professional and attentive. SUMMARY I would come back here if I was in the area, but since I live in San Jose, it's not a place I can easily drive to. The food, service, and ambiance were up to my standards. I like that they allow dogs and even have dog beds that are raised for outdoor seating and dog water bowls. Congratulations on the new remodel. Great job to the architects on the project!

Yelp
I'm torn on 4 or 5 stars. The ambiance is incredible with the outdoor fire pit couches for eating. I love that it is outdoors and dog friendly. Food was really good. Service was pretty slow.. not sure if it was because we sat outside or what the deal was exactly. Tuna bowl was fire. Pizza was good too. Pricey for sure but it's the Bay Area I guess...? $80 for lunch and two drinks.

Yelp
"Well it's a story about love, deception, greed, lust and...unbridled enthusiasm." - Cosmo Kramer, Seinfeld I guess you really can't go back again... BUT we tried, so much for "Unbridled Enthusiasm" !! Caught a Sunday matinee and made a much anticipated brunch stop at Honor and it was an"uneven" experience. da Scene: Park in the back as normal, NOT in the Ohana spots!! The space has really been thought out, plenty of outdoor seating spacious and airy inside... I noticed the 2 giant TVs right away, new vibe for sure. Really nice folks upfront and we were seated & watered quickly. da Grub: Ordered Espresso & Cappuccino, mocktail & prosecco, calamari starter, Risotto and fish & Chips. Things went south quick!! Food presentation was nice, looked good... but... Calamari was crisp, with some veggies mixed in, but not seasoned, no flavor. Risotto also under-seasoned, not many mushrooms. Fish & chips also low/no flavor plus the batter was a soft-type... if you deep fry something it should be crispy!Espresso was a watery mess, almost an Americano w/ no crema. Cappuccino was COLD, w/ no froth - looked like cold milk was poured in. Finally drinks came, mocktail was weak but smelled fantastic. da Service: Needs work. While they were VERY nice folks, the timing and judgement was terrible. Note the order of the Grub above. Food came first, then the Espresso, then as we finished eating, the cocktails showed up... I was expecting to have to ask them to take them off the bill. Expediter/host came by and mentioned they were having some trouble with the Espresso machine... should've cancelled then, but they served it up, betting we don't know the difference between decent espresso and bad. "Shame... shame..." you can't serve that in the Bay Area. Better to apologize and suggest a cup of coffee. REALLY BUMMED... this AIN'T the same vibe, food or bar as before, and that doesn't have to be necessarily bad. But for $145 this was a disappointment, we'll give them another try in a few months, maybe they'll work out the kinks.

Yelp
Noticed that the menu was updated today. And they removed the over priced 3 onion rings, olives etc They added a lunch combo which had a nice price. I almost had that but opted for the Steak & papas. I really enjoyed that. My next time there I am planning on trying the lobster roll - it's a fav or my boss. We also tried every dessert today. I had the key lime pie - tasty - I could eat the whole pie! Co-worker loved the apples & waffle dessert- he wished it was bigger. The Oreo pie - was the most dense looking chocolate pie. My co-worker liked it but couldn't finish it. The vanilla gelato was good and came with some fruit. (Blueberry & strawberry today) The bread pudding - was very dry looking & my co-workers agreed it needed sauce to make it more like bread pudding. All desserts including gelato was $11 each. Maybe not worth it for the gelato. I do enjoy the strawberry lemonade. It's sweet so if you don't like overly sweet don't drink this. Overall I think the menu changes work and elevate things. Again - it's not cheap to eat here and portions are modest. You will not need a doggie bag Well unless you have a small appetite. Also learned the smash burger is a 4oz patty - it's $5 to add an extra patty. My complaint- 4 of my co-workers (6 of us there and there were only a couple other tables there) ordered fries with their food, 1 ordered a salad. When they brought food it was mostly together except 2 of my co-workers didn't get their fries until they were basically done eating their lobster rolls! That's really unacceptable especially when I saw fries being delivered to another table. Our server did apologize, but when you have prices like these food needs to come out together & be complete. I'm hoping with time this will get better & they'll figure out timing to serve the table together. However, I saw a vast improvement & wanted to up their rating & say that we'll be back.

Yelp
Thank you Kevin for all the extra love! As new parents, traveling to new restaurants can be tricky that we don't know the layout or vibe for yet. But heading to Honor Kitchen & Cocktails, we had a beautiful table that was indoor/outdoors on a gorgeous evening. After checking in and putting our name down, we sat by the outdoor fireplaces and ordered drinks. I had the Kissed by a Rose (mezcal based), and it was such a beautiful cocktail surrounded by beautiful company. After one round, we were seated and ordered Brussels and the Little Gem & Radicchio Caesar. Both equally solid. Brussels were crisp and packed with flavor, and the addition of farro in the Caesar made it a sure fire win in my book. I ordered another delicious mezcal-based drink, Smoke & Honey, and the Fried Chicken Sando with onion rings (my hubby did the Yard Birds which is carried over from their OG menu..buttermilk fried chicken and the fixings including mac salad, cheddar cheese biscuits, hot honey sauce, chive butter). We came during one of the first weeks they opened and I know they mentioned improvements were being made as they were getting more settled in. The sando was juicy, but unfortunately the flaky bun fell apart in my hands. The sweet onions got a bit lost in the breading of the fried rings, but I've never met an onion ring I truly didn't enjoy. My husband enjoyed his dish, but mentioned the biscuits could have used a bit more time cookin'. I look forward to coming back soon to continue to try more items from the menu like their selection of pizzas, lobster mac, cauliflower, burger, and lobster roll. I think it might have just been an off night for the entrees, because drinks and apps were such delight. I love the beautiful renovations they've done to both the interior/exterior, and I'm so excited they've brought such a vibrant energy and life back to Emeryville. And how can I not forget..the lounge area! A separate door leads you to this special room where kids are not allowed :) So looking forward to date night and enjoying music, drinks, nibbles in the lounge on a future night!

Yelp
Visited on a Saturday night and sat in the atrium. No wait, food came out fast, and our waiter was very kind! Great spot for cocktails and good eats. I will definitely be back to try the crab menu!

Yelp
Food was good, the fried chicken was perfectly browned with honey on the side, my friends new york steak dish was just okay. Steak in a bowl I guess don't work for my friend, steak and sides are all mixed together with the sauce. Cocktails are great and the keylime pie is superb, highlight of the visit. Service is great, alittle slow with the cocktail, eventhough we are early enough for the crowd, but atleast it is a generous pouring. Ambiance is great, decor and wide spacing is a plus... and this place looks like its gonna be cold at night!!! But it will be not because of the big heaters in the ceiling !!! Great experience, I will give it a try again for other dishes in the menu.

Yelp
I would give this 3.5 but I think I like this place mostly for the easy fun vibe than the food. It was recently renovated and it's a nice place to eat and hang out especially with all the fire pits outside. Food- the Moroccan cigars had the most flavor of what we tried especially with the dipping sauce. I also likes the Brussels sprouts. The yard bird fried chicken could have used a hot sauce. We also liked the chocolate banana bread for dessert.

Yelp
Met up with some friends here for dinner. Although this was my first time at Honor Kitchen, both friends as well as my wife had been here before prior to their remodel. Apparently, part of the old bar has still been maintained in a separate room in the back. The interior itself is beautiful, spacious, and well-lit with both artificial as well as natural lighting. Plenty of regular indoor table seating available, bar seating, as well as a comfortable selection of outdoor heated patio seating if you so choose. There are two GIANT large screens on one side of the restaurant, although I'm not sure why the decision was made to not put one on opposite ends so patrons could view regardless of which direction they were seated. We were greeted pretty shortly after entering by the hostess, and were seated promptly despite the rest of our group being a tad late. Our waiter was friendly enough, however he seemed really scattered and was running around all over the place seemingly trying to service too many tables at once. Had the Margherita Pizza, which I found to be pretty decent. My wife however, who is not a heavy eater, had the Crispy Ahi Tacos and found the overall quantity rather lacking. Fortunately, I was able to simply share some of my pizza with her. We ended the night with some dessert which was okay, but fairly unmemorable. They have very limited parking in a small lot shared with the nearby dispensary. But there are paid parking lots nearby, and we found plenty of free street parking 2 blocks away.

Yelp
I met up with some friends for a light dinner before an event, and Honor Kitchen was able to accommodate our large group in their back room. A drastically different vibe than the light and airy dining area up front, the back room carries some of the dive-bar characteristics of the restaurant's historic past. While the decor, moody lighting, and stage in the corner of the space were on brand with the dive bar theme, the seating area felt cozy yet modern. By the time our entire group arrived, we ordered a few plates to share: the Purple Haze pizza, fried cauliflower, fish n' chips, and truffle fries. These dishes were all "upscale" versions of comfort food classics, and my favorite dish was probably the crispy cauliflower. We probably needed to order a few more plates to feed our group of ~8 people, since each dish is portioned to serve 1-2 people max.
google avatar

Sabrina C.

Yelp
We met for a work dinner and a party of 8. Everything was great from the second we stepped in to the second we left. Services was phenomenal. Food was all yummy. Would definitely go back.

Yelp
The manager Jackie was amazing! She was personable and friendly and gave great recommendations. The bartender in the lounge I believe his name was David is terrible and showed his dislike for customers who are black he didn't want to take our order and made us wait 15 minutes for drinks in an empty bar THE FOOD IS JUST MEH!!!!!! The deviled eggs were beautiful but for $15 you only get 1 1/2 eggs and it's not a bump of caviar it's a sprinkle. I ordered the fried chicken which was bland and was served with cheddar biscuits ( frozen) and macaroni salad that tasted like grated onions. My friend had the fish and chips and said it was just ok and the fries were salty. We sat at the bar and David never checked on us once, ( I've included video of him actively ignoring us) the most positive part of this experience was the live music and Jackie's playlist. I used to love Honor Kitchen and cocktails but after this experience I will never return.

Yelp
Honor Kitchen has received a major refit since we last visited. The new space is very nice and modern. There is a weird mix of lighting fixtures though. We came for an early dinner, so got good service from polite and attentive waiters. The menu options are essentially pub food, although presented in a more sophisticated looking printed menu. (Thankfully we are not asked to order via a mobile phone app!). We order the fried cauliflower starter, and mushroom risotto and the fish and chips for mains. The cauliflower was fine, just fried with an aioli dip. But the risotto was not very flavorful. The fish and chips were also disappointing. I got shoestring fries, with a lot of crispy ends at the bottom. And the fish was like two fish fingers and the breading was soft and not crisp at all. Also, the portion sizes for both of our mains was tiny, especially considering the price of $24. With a drink each, our overall tab for the two of us was over $100, and we didn't get enough to eat. We went to the old Honor Kitchen a number of time, but don't plan on coming back again after this experience.

Yelp
Beautiful Scenery ! Fell in love with the layout inside and out. The Service was one of the best. Made a reservation online and noted we were celebrating my FIL's birthday. As soon as we showed up they asked for the reservation and asked whose birthday we were celebrating. Not a lot of restaurants bother to read or even remember small details like that... The host and waitress were really attentive. Everyone ordered something different and we all shared. The table favorites were the Dungeness Crab Salad, the Dude Burger, and the Steak with Papas Bravas. Some of the other items we ordered fell a little short but when asked how our meal was, I wasn't going to mention anything . But the host insisted so I mentioned that my food was a little under seasoned and they were fast to apologize and make things right. We didn't have room for dessert but I was interested to see what they had on the menu, and they even gave us a slice of cake to go for my FIL which made him smile

Yelp
Ehh, mediocre. Beautiful room. Okay, slightly confusing menu. Middling service (I waited way too long for my first beer during a quiet, mostly empty weekend service). Example: Fish n chips. The two pieces of fish were cooked differently. Feels like it wants to be Granville in LA but can't.

Yelp
Yes! I love this place. Delicious food. Friendly service and very relaxing ambiance. Live music on Valentine's Day.

Camille P.

Yelp
I enjoyed my time at Honor tonight. It's Valentine's Day, so I'm not sure if this is the typical vibe, but I'm definitely coming back based on tonight's experience. I ordered the Dungeness Crab Bucatini, and it was delicious. It's a holiday, so they were swamped, but the staff HUSTLED. I could tell they were spread thin (one manager on the floor doing multiple roles), but they provided the best experience possible. I love that. I'm not sure what the typical vibe is, but the dimly lit ambiance with gorgeous seating makes you want to get cute, have cocktails, and enjoy a meal. The space is beautiful. My one beef is DOGS. I get that it's an approachable come-as-you-are spot, but I need Bay Area restaurants to draw a line. I love dogs and understand accommodating service dogs, but enjoying Valentine's Day dinner next to a pitbull is kinda wack. I get the culture in the bay overall is "our pets are our kids," but the bottom line is that Pets aren't children. The entitlement of Bay Area diners is annoying. Leave them at home or eat outside if it isn't a service animal. It's unsanitary af and pretty absurd to expect your non-service animal to come EVERYWHERE you go. I've honestly had enough. Anywho, the bottom line is Honor was a cool spot. I'm definitely coming back.

We remember why we like this place so much. ImMediately when we walk in we feel at home. Warm welcome! Delicious hot food and cold drinks! Excellent music...all around great vibe. Food is excellent and seating is comfortable (huge for us!)

Yelp
So dined here last night with a friend and was impressed. The Moroccan cigars and the crispy brussel sprouts were both 10/10 but the steak and papas bravas was nothing special to write home about. More importantly i want to talk about the drinks, atmosphere and customer service. The people working were all SOOO nice, everybody in the entire restaurant was nice and attentive, the people sitting in all seemed to be enjoying themselves and the aesthetic of the space was great. Granted, i chose to dine in the lounge area.... I walked around and scoped out the two dining options and ultimately chose the lounge because the music was so good. I think the person behind the bar was named Jackie, the playlist was so nice i actually asked who was playing the music. Anyways, the vibe in the lounge was great in large part to those working in there and the tunes. Will 100% be back, and give the main courses another chance but the drinks and apps were both great.

Yelp
I had a reservation for the Thanksgiving Prix Fixe menu. Unfortunately my husband got very sick. When I called to ask about maybe getting the prix fixe menu to go, I was told there was a Thanksgiving Dinner for 2 available for online ordering and I should do that. I went to the website and online ordering wasn't available there. Additionally, there wasn't a veggie/vegan option available online (although there is in the prix fixe menu) When I called again I was told that maybe I should try DoorDash as that HAS been working for them all day. They knew their website wasn't working and when they couldn't get it working, they didn't call me back. They just kept pushing it off onto the next entity. This is a hard day made harder. I generally enjoyed the food here and love supporting local businesses, but I'm done now. I doubt this business will hurt from 1 less customer, but I am disappointed. If you're in the area, try 510 The Bureau across the street.

ALEAN C.

Yelp
The atmosphere and ambiance were great. The food not so much. The wait time was questionable as there were not many patrons at that time. Very nice interior with lots of potential, I was planning future visits in my head until I tasted the food.

Yelp
Love this new hot spot! Great food, customer service, and ambiance! Fun fact: I used to drink at the attached bar about 30+ year ago and it's still there!

Yelp
My husband and I come here for lunch most of the time. The service is on point and very welcoming. Management says hi and checks on us also. Love the energy here. Never disappointed on the food, love the fish crunchy tacos & my husband is picky about his steak and Its comes out, done to perfection. They have a 2 separate bar area, large TVs to watch sports.. The warm and cold drinks never disappoint. They also have outside fire pits. Bathrooms are clean and taken care of.. We love the large windows. The set up is perfect. Being a Realtor and my husband contractor we can really appreciate the ambience here..

Steve S.

Yelp
Food was good but the service was incredibly slow. Our server never came to check on us until I waived my hand to get his attention for the check. Probably wouldn't go back.

Yelp
The service from the time you walk in thee door they welcome you. And make you feel at home. When I ordered my food the first taste was out of this world. Chef Carlos came by and gave us some special treats I felt special and so did my wife and daughter. If you bring your family with you will not be ashamed. Please you must come. Beautiful atmosphere ! Fireplace lounging is on the outside.

Kristine W.

Yelp
I really liked the energy and atmosphere of this place--a nice place to gather with a large group of people along with really helpful and friendly servers. It's a great add to the area and looks like a welcoming lit up beacon from the outside. They did a nice job on the industrial-style interior as well. Outdoor seating too with a fire pit. I ordered the fennel sausage and smoked cheese pizza and shared the banana bread pudding dessert with ice cream. The pizza was ok but not a standout--next time I will order something else. My dining companions said that they enjoyed their food--they ordered the fish tacos, short ribs, fried chicken combo, and marrow dishes. Portions are very generous. The parking situation is tough...they have a small parking lot that they share with the dispensary next door. There's also a lot across the street but the best bet is to look for street parking. You may have to get creative depending on the time you arrive. Brunch menu looks good (see photo)...have not checked this out yet. Overall, I think this place is worth another try.

Yelp
I wish we could do halves! It's not a 3, but not a 4. But a strong 3.5! The remodel is nice!! Looks very clean, industrial, with a classic flare. The wooden & green chairs are super uncomfortable though. I went with my child on a Saturday afternoon. The service was slower than expected given the restaurant was only 1/4 full. My French 75 was outstanding!!! The butternut squash bisque had a rich creamy flavor with an undertone of spice. Very tasty!! My chicken sando was subpar. The bread was a day old and dry. The chicken was over breaded, but nice and tender. The pickled vegetables were cold so there was a big clash of temperature during my bites. I'd give it another shot, go back again to try other menu options. I really like the ambiance & the fire pits are a nice touch!

Yelp
Love the redo of Honor. It's a cool spot for date night or going out with your friends. I enjoy that there are 3 very different areas to hang out in and I especially love sitting on the couches next to the fire pits. But what I didn't love was the food. Since I live in the neighborhood I've been here several times now and I wish the food was better. It's just okay. Loved the Morrocan cigars the first time I had them where they were wrapped in a filo-like dough and crispy but this time when I had them they were more like a big fried egg roll wrapped in a totally different type skin. Still, they do have a great flavor and I think they're probably the best thing on the menu. The salmon was pretty good. Cooked nicely but it was under-salted and the choice for rice with it was too tough and wild rice like. It overwhelmed the delicateness of the salmon. While the Yard Birds chicken is pretty tasty I wish it came with potato salad rather than macaroni salad. But the biggest misstep was the crab with bucatini. While the sauce had a good flavor, the pasta was overcooked past al dente, which was disappointing. I did enjoy trying their different craft cocktails, which were pretty good. All in all very happy to have this in my neighborhood but the food quality just needs a little work

Yelp
So I brought my mother to eat at the renovated Honor. The food was superb before the change so I was expecting the same. The renovation was absolutely stunning. Perfect date night for 'cocktails'. They have romantic fire pits outside along the outer perimeter. They completely got rid of the parking lot entrance so you have to walk completely around the restaurant for the entrance. If your disabled get dropped off in the front. Ambience was calm and laid back with a great band playing the hell out of the bass guitar. Now the food..Brussels sprouts was a disappointment. It taste burnt not roasted. The Moroccan rolls were dry with no flavor. I was expecting some African spice, Mediterranean or middle eastern flavors. We ate the Moroccan rolls but returned the sprouts. These were simple meals and weren't good so we skipped dinner. I remembered their buttermilk fried chicken being fantastic so I ordered it for my husband. It was 'I'm sorry' but terrible. It was not buttermilk, it was fried until completely dry with a "corn meal" batter. Only thing you fried with corn meal is fish. Service was great. They explained the menu was new as of today. I suggest you go back to the old menu and find the old chef. Renovations beautiful A+++, very sexy but the food D-

Yelp
We went here for lunch on a recommendation from a local. Interior was clean and chic but I got furniture store turned into a restaurant with tables vibe. The service was okay but not welcoming. Water glasses throughout the meal went unfilled and the interactions with our waiter were just meh. Would have liked him to maybe suggest dishes and provide some insight on what to try or not to try. I ordered the Margherita pizza ('za). I would tell you to steer clear of the pizza. It came out very soupy and soaked in oil. It lacked flavor and was very difficult to hold. It was very floppy and the cheese slid right off. I thought maybe it was a badly cooked pizza, nope. All three of the pizzas ordered at the table were the same. Cell service was terrible in the restaurant so I tried to log onto their WiFi which to my surprise did not work. I did however enjoy the chilled bottled diet Coke. You're better off going to Ike's across the street. Would not recommend.

Yelp
Great food. Coco the server was fabulous and took care of our large group of 15 people.

Yelp
This is truly the best spot if you have a 4 legged baby you'd like to dine with. Newly renovated and spacious with indoor and outdoor seating. Food was great but the service was phenomenal. Everyone was super nice but most especially to my furkid. Upon arrival, they made sure he got a bowl of water and even gave him a cot to hang out on so that he doesn't have to lay on the floor. They also have complimentary homemade dog biscuits. When the staff initially offered, I was half embarrassed because there was a big likelihood my kid would reject it since he's a picky eater. But to my shock, he went straight for it. Upon closer look, realized it was cheddar and bacon - so duh, he loved it!

Yelp
Good food and service. Attractive interior and exterior. Outside seating has heat lamps. Interesting drink menu.

Yelp
Cute neighborhood spot perfect for cozy meals with friends or a lovely date night. I love the warmth from the many fire pits in the courtyard. You can bring your pup if you'd like which is a plus for many. My burger was delicious and hunny enjoyed his salad. Service was a bit slow but nothing crazy. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
Honor kitchen & cocktails is probably super good on Thursday or Friday nights with a game going on...it definitely gives off the sports bar feeling on the inside. I took a friend out to lunch on a Monday afternoon, just to try something a little different. We got to pick whether to eat outside or inside...needless to say...it was so dark inside with a very small group of individuals hanging at the bar, the obvious choice: Outside! It was a beautiful day to enjoy...so we did. There was a mix of people eating outside, in-between metal bench tables and wood top ones. Our waiter was nice and recommended the plates of the day as well as what was on tap. I pretty much knew what I wanted... narrowing it down to just two dishes! Have to go back at night...get the full overall experience. Ciao for now...

Yelp
This is my new favorite restaurant! This was my third time enjoying the food, ambience, service and amazing staff. Canyon, the manager, and Coco, the hostess, make each guest feel special. The oysters on the half shell, crab and noodles and key lime pie were amazingly delicious.

Yelp
Absolutely LOVE the new ambience and really wanted to adore the food too, but just couldn't. Came out for dinner. The pomegranate salad was great, but the artichoke was very tough & the burger small, dry, and disappointing. Will come back for drinks some time and hope to get some better selections on the menu, but leaving a bit put out this evening

Yelp
I have been to Honor Bar many times in the past but recently went there to check out their post renovation space. It was nice, open, & clean but somehow lacked a little of the personality it used to have. What one was what I would call an upscale dive bar is now a restaurant with a bar. Not bad but I miss the old vibe a bit. The cocktails were very good, I had the fat washed play on a White Russian which was sweet but delicious. The food was great but the price and portions were disappointing. The lobster ceviche I was especially excited to try but the portion was tiny and it did not even come with chips. It was served in the lobster shell which I felt was to make it look expensive but it only fit about 2 table spoons of ceviche in there. For over $20 I would not order it again. Our server was the highlight of the experience. He was extremely nice and knowledgeable and did a wonderful job.

Yelp
Love the new patio space and outdoor seating but miss many of the best menu items and really didn't appreciate the 6% surcharge in fine print. Was quickly given a total bill without details until I asked. Just add a dollar to each plate (which are now smaller). Ordered 3 dishes and 3 drinks (2 people). Left hungry and $150 poorer.

Yelp
I can't say enough about the service and team in the restaurant. Starting with Kevin, the General Manager, who greeted us on arrival and seems to be everywhere at the same time always with a smile. Sieera, our server, explained the menu and made perfect recommendations. The menu and food were fabulous. I love the share plates. We were a group of four and sampled many things off the menu from pizza to the Moroccan cigars and brussels sprouts. Every item was beautifully plated and delicious. Because I live in Arizona I won't be able to come back soon enough, but am looking forward to my next visit.

Yelp
This place was cute, spacious indoor and outdoor patio. Patio has firepits, which is nice in the evening and for chilly winter days. The food was good. We had a few appetizers - fries and brussel sprouts. Then shared a couple mains. It was yummy. Service was also very good. Overall a good experience. I

Yelp
Food and drinks are good, but music is bad. Bad, obscure, and sad 1970s music. Would visit more if better music.

Yelp
Great new ambiance with their indoor/outdoor setup, and food is OK, but they're adding a 6% surcharge to all checks.
