What the Cancellation of Alaska’s Snow Crab Season Means for Cajun Seafood Restaurants | Bon Appétit

"At the Oklahoma City location of the Cajun-style seafood chain Hook & Reel, the decor is unsurprisingly nautical. Thick braids of rope are coiled decoratively around pillars, and a plastic shark hangs from the ceiling, baring its teeth in a wide, leering smile. Seafood comes to tables piled on platters or nested in fry baskets. Diners are offered gloves to wear as they crack open crab legs and lobster claws. Bibs, as you can imagine, play a major role here." - BySam Stone

As a first time to this establishment, the server was kind and explained most my questions asked about meals and the deals for lunch. She insisted I try the boil option as all you can eat deal which I did. if your a seafood lover, stop by, I'm sure you'll enjoy the experience.

Food and service were amazing!! Aleshia J recommended the Cajun sauce and I ordered it spicy which was PERFECT. Just the right amount of heat and great flavor for my shrimp and mussels. Will definitely come back when I’m back in OKC!

Pleasantly surprised by this place! We came here on a whim since we were in the area and I'm already looking forward to coming back. Definitely the best seafood boil I've had in Oklahoma! The raw oysters were fresh but a little too large for my liking, the steamed oysters were great though!
