Couldn’t be luckier to have such a high quality seafood vendor in our neighborhood. Our dinners are centered around Hooked on Fish at least once a week.

Fresh and beautiful fish--amazingly helpful staff. Small selection of carefully curated non-seafood products. Weekly subscription is a great encouragement to cook fish at home--it is easy to "skip" a week or choose an alternate selection. There are recipes on the webpage--and the frozen store made items are a tasty treat.

I used to love these guys. Today it was more batter than fish. And the french fries were more like little potato chips, very small and overcooked.

Adorable neighborhood fishmonger that offers a wide range of fresh fish brought in from places and house made products. Last time I went i got their Ahi Tuna brought from Hawaii that was sushi grade and it made for some delicious poke. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, I was really happy with the service. They put out weekly newsletters so it’s easy to keep up what they have fresh in. Plus they have a great selection of tinned fish ! all around a market id recommend.

Absolutely impeccable fish and customer service! We look forward every week to the fishmonger’s selection and trying new fish literally flown in from around the world. I thought Whole Foods was good but that doesn’t come even close to the freshness and variety found at Hooked on Fish. Cant recommend this high enough!

It is one of the few places that I have visited that offers great quality fish. The staff there is friendly and very helpful.

My neighborhood fish store! I go here to stock up on Miss Can Portuguese tinned fish - mackeral, squid, mussels and sardines. They also have Oritz boquerones, which are my absolute favorite. SO GOOD. I typically do not go here for their daily fish specials, as their hours are strange. They seem to only be open during the week when everyone else is at work. So, my only chance to go is on weekends, and I don't always get that chance. But, it's a cute shop!

Did not want to like them (I still miss Zanzibar Cafe in the space!) Thought their hours were too short. Thought it was a gimmick. Thought they would not last. Turns out I absolutely love them! Great service, love dropping in to see what they have. The seafood is fantastic! It's not overly expensive either (I'm looking at you, Whole Foods!) The hours are just fine for a world that works hybrid, half the time from home. And it's wonderful that the proprietor, after eight years, wanted a storefront and wanted to be as local and cozy as this one is. The only thing that would make it better is if a new local butcher opened up next-door!

Cute addition to the neighborhood. Business hours inhospitable to many working people and won't last long at this store front. Ever come home after work and think hmmm, I have a taste for fish tonight -- too bad my fish store is only open from Noon--5p (hours that I'm working). It happens to me -- and off again I go to Paulina Meat Market or to Whole Foods for my fish fix.

I've been a Hooked on Fish loyal customer for years, just love that super-fresh, high-quality fish! Today I was reminded how helpful the staff is when Chef Andresz took the time to personally teach me a fish-prep skill rather than just point me toward a Youtube how-to video. Always friendly and professional, this team goes the extra mile to make customers happy. Thanks, HOF!

Grand opening of a new location this morning. The new space is bright and clean and inviting! Bought 1.3lbs of salmon. Fresh fresh fresh!

Excellent quality fresh fish for Chicago. Support this business! I opted for the pay $200, get $230's worth deal. Be forewarned that if you get delivery, they force you into getting their $30 cooler bag. Otherwise, the fish puts most other options to shame.

I got the Lobster tails, scallops and salmon burgers... all were very high quality and prices were reasonable. The food was so tasty and I will definitely be a repeat customer. Also the people behind the counter are very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. recommend this place.

Hooked on Fish is a fantastic fish subscription service. The choices are great, and the quality is top-notch. I love the convenient pick-up location and the wonderful customer service. This is the only place locally that offers dry-pack scallops (one of this week's choices). Last week I chose delicious rainbow trout. Other times there have been fishes that are impossible or rare to find in the stores, like Meagre, Monkfish, Hake, and Copper River salmon, to name just a few. I just wish they could expand to twice a week!

I have been a customer of Hooked on Fish for about 7 months now, and I can't say enough great things about this service. I grew up in Florida and lived in San Francisco for a few years, so seafood has always been a dietary staple for me and my family. Finding fresh, eco-friendly and varied seafood options at the grocery stores in Chicago has been challenging to say the least, and I don't have time to drive all over creation to specialty markets. Hooked on Fish has made it so easy to access healthy and delicious seafood in my neighborhood. Customer service has been great; they went above and beyond to implement a suggestion that I submitted within the same week! If you're a seafood lover and/or someone who wants to take advantage of the health benefits of eating seafood regularly, I highly recommend giving Hooked on Fish a try.

This fish is the freshest you can buy. All of it is sustainably caught or farmed. Every week you have a choice between two fish expertly cut and packaged and ready to prepare. Great and easy recipes are on the website. You won't want to buy fresh fish in the supermarket again.
