Industrial-chic bar specializing in craft beers, also offering cocktails, bar snacks & sandwiches.
"Another unassuming-yet-amazing locale in the neighborhood, Hops Hill is a beer-lover’s dream. With their ever-changing taps and a seemingly infinite list of bottles, even the sharpest of beer connoisseurs will be impressed by this selection. Grab a snack or sandwich and sidle up to the bar for a beer or two or three or four, or stop by for a special tap takeover or meet the brewer event. This bar knows its stuff and isn’t scared to show it." - Makewell
"Your boss just handed you a new project, which means you need to postpone that long weekend trip with your significant other to a B&B/working goat farm upstate. Go to Hops Hill, a casual bar in Clinton Hill, where you can break the news while at least drinking some very good beer. You should be able to get seats at the long bar or one of the counters along the walls, and if you want something stronger than beer, they have a big whiskey selection as well." - bryan kim, matt tervooren
"The drafts at Hops Hill change daily. And that’s one indicator that this tiny Bed-Stuy bar takes its beer seriously. The name should have been another good hint, as well as the fridge in the back where you can browse various bottles. This place is great for a quiet, low-key drink in the neighborhood, especially when you’re looking for something like a 17% ABV imperial stout from Long Island." - hannah albertine, bryan kim, matt tervooren
"Brooklyn’s Hops Hill is a great option for lovers of hard-to-find craft beers. The delivery menu here includes 10 ciders, 15 cans of beer, and a rotating list of 15 beers on draft available for delivery in 32-ounce “crowlers” (think: can growlers). Thirty-two ounces might seem like a lot of beer — it is — but that’s ideal when the beer list includes sour IPAs from Hudson Valley Brewery and a few options from coveted Vermont brewery Hill Farmstead." - Luke Fortney
"“Strictly craft” is the tagline at Hops Hill, and they mean it. Fifteen taps are dedicated to of-the-moment craft selections, some from Brooklyn area breweries like Other Half. The extensive bottle and can list — 148 items long — features several options with considerable bottle age on them, and the prices can escalate quickly for some of those choices. The taps are mostly under $10, and there’s a happy hour Monday to Friday. Other options include hard-to-find whiskeys, some beer cocktails, and a range of ciders." - Eater Staff, Ashwin Rodrigues
