‘Top Chef’ Alumnus Sara Hauman Designed the Menu at Portland Gallery Hopscotch - Eater Portland

"Hopscotch is Portland's new interactive gallery space located in the Goat Blocks, which opened on June 9. The gallery features 14 installations from Portland-based and international artists, including caves made from 86,000 upcycled bags and a color-changing ball pit. The culinary experience at Hopscotch is curated by Top Chef alumnus Sara Hauman, who crafted a menu that aligns with the gallery's playful and nostalgic theme, offering items like fried mac and cheese squares, Tillamook ice cream sundaes, and popcorn with local toppings. The menu is designed to be accessible and fun, allowing visitors to enjoy food in a casual, hands-on way." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

The art installations are a lot of fun. It can get over crowded easily and makes it hard to enjoy each exhibit for long. If you have kids they will really love this place. Most things are interactive in some way. The ball pit is great for them. Make sure you put any valuables in the cubbies before getting in though! You will never find them again.

Something for everyone to enjoy. Myself, my 10 month old, my 18 year old brother with special needs, and my mom all very much enjoyed an afternoon here. We spent about 2 hours here total. Staff were all very friendly and prices reasonable. Free parking in the parking garage next door was easy to find with plenty of spots available. Lots of people visiting on a Sunday afternoon but didn't feel overly crowded. If you're thinking about going, do it! You won't regret it.

Google
What an amazing and fun experience at Hopscotch. My second visit to Portland from New York and my kids recommended it. It did not disappoint. Left me feeling like a kid again. The staff were so friendly. Alissa made us the best drink and her energy matched mine, which started the fun rolling. Devin was at one of the exhibits and joined our fun vibe as though we were long time BFF's. We literally just wanted to stay and hang with him. They both added to an incredible time. I highly recommend the place for everyone looking for a unique and reviving experience.

Went with my son and granddaughter and had a fantastic time! Incredible rooms and features and good food as well. We had bratwurst and pretzels. We were able to make our reservations less than an hour before arriving. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well.

Google
One of the coolest and most rad things to do in Portland! It's not super pricey, we spent over 3 hours walking around. We were immersed in visuals and the vibe. This was for my college teens 19th birthday and they loved it! We will definitely have to come back! Thanks Hopscotch! Such a rad spot for photos too!

Google
It was the coolest experience my son and I have ever had at a museum for sure! I love the lighting and the overall creativity behind the concept. The food was great and well priced! The drinks were fantastic but a little on the spendy side. The staff was very friendly and helpful! The whole experience was great but I would go just to play in the GIANT ball pit at the end!! Thanks Hopscotch for an amazing experience for a mother-son day with my 11 year old.

Google
Was a lot of fun. The lady getting our drinks was so funny and nice. Great atmosphere. Wasn't too busy at the time we chose, 2pm on Wed., so it wasnt crowded. Made it easy to experience each room. Didn't like the noise rooms. The sound was very scratchy, but maybe it was supposed to be like that. And the graffiti wall was a cool idea, but the laser control cans were maybe not calibrated correctly or just OVER used so they wouldn't stop "spraying" when you wanted etc. So you couldn't actually draw of the wall easily. But it was still cool to scribble all over it. The ball pit was clean and a lot of fun. Like floating in clouds. The guy standing at the entrance said he would save me if I drowned. It was fun with the witty banter, im pretty sarcastic so it was great.

This place is incredible! I loved getting to come here with my girlfriend. It was a super fun time and a really great experience. I loved all the installations. I was sad that the airbag/trampoline one was not operational at the the time but I really enjoyed it. We had a super great time. I recommend this to anyone visiting Portland or even to people looking for a fun weekend activity. I definitely plan on going again sometime soon. Such a unique place, there’s nowhere quite like it.

Yelp
I loved this place. We got tickets for Christmas. This was a great idea for a gift for couples.

Yelp
So much fun! From the adult Capri Sun drinks to all the fun interactive displays .... What a great experience. LOVED visiting the Portland site. Staff was great to help when we needed. Everything was so much fun! Wish we had this local to us

Yelp
Immersive art museums for the win! We booked a spot online as I think that is a requirement for this place. It was a nice experience with different rooms featuring different displays. Lots of interactive things and a bar that you can enjoy a drink and a snack if you would like. Would recommend for kids or adults.

Yelp
I'm going to sound like a terrible person here... I have a child. He's a young adult now. He would have LOVED it here were it open when he was young. I would have considered myself a good parent for bringing him. However, going during the day was a mistake as there were (young) children EVERYWHERE. Many of the installations said don't touch...guess what, kids were touching EVERYTHING. Running, screaming, hogging all the things. There were parents that may have used Hopscotch as a form of babysitter, allowing their kids to take over many, if not all of the rooms. It felt like an artsy Chuck E Cheese. Still, a very cool concept and we had a good time.

Yelp
It was a lot of fun, with lots of interesting visual and sensory experiences. Some exhibits are tailored a bit more to children than adults, but there was definitely something for everyone there. Tickets sell out quick, so I would definitely recommend securing them days in advance if you want to be able to go. Free coat check is available. The Garden of Secrets was by far my favorite exhibit, where you got to hear secrets from real people in the dark. I didn't have much interaction with the staff but the few I did interact with seemed to be nice. The ticket itself isn't too expensive, but the drinks are (not sure about the food). Seeing how deliberately some of these exhibits were put together, alongside the sheer scale and attention to detail, it definitely makes sense why the tickets costs $24 or ($26.45 after fees). I just wish there were a few more adult catered exhibits.

Yelp
Made reservations to visit hopscotch with our team from work. Recommend filling out waivers online to have a quick speedy entry. There are cubbies in the areas with interaction to set down jackets and belongings. There's a few bars as you go through the exhibits. Favorites were the interactive art exhibits including the trampoline room, VJ, hanging infinity lights and the graffiti wall. They only give 1 spray can per two. We had a group of 3 so we had to share 1 can. A few exhibits had screens out or parts of the exhibit not working. Everyone enjoyed themselves, good team bonding and lots of photo opportunities.

Yelp
Impressive and unique exhibition. I especially liked the huge murals by local artists and the trippy dance room filled with lights. Every room was an interesting display of art made more engaging through technology; music; and interaction. We went early in the day and as two adults alone it was probably a mistake - dozens of children were running around literally screaming, which made it hard to appreciate the art. That said; we'd totally go another time.

Yelp
Fun and memorable Friday playing hooky! Came to Hopscotch on a Friday mid-day; I let my son skip school after his Dentist appointment on my day off with my husband. Such a memorable experience. Every single staff member we interacted with - was kind, helpful, and friendly. Before starting the experience we grabbed some drinks at the bar. The frozen cocktail with Tequila was delicious and I loved the flame from the lime they set on fire. We sat on the 'hand' chairs and vibed to the sounds and low light. I don't want to ruin the exhibit for you - but it was very therapeutic to spend the day as a kid again! Delving into the sights, sounds, art, and fun. A must do - exhibit! Cute shop at the end too.

Yelp
Hopscotch is a unique and affordable immersive exhibit in Portland. There's a large selection of things to engage in. There's plenty to engage with as an adult or for your kids to partake in. The staff are attentive and friendly. They also have some unique food, cocktails, and regular drinks you can take through the exhibit with you! If you're looking to something unique to explore in Portland, I think adding Hopscotch would be a great idea.

Yelp
Family friendly fun | Unique art | High stimulation This is an excellent place to hit up with a family (and anyone of all ages). I can also see this as a great place to take your date. It is a very unique and fun place that was well thought out to make your experience a good one. We've been here twice in two weeks. My 6 yr old (and 3 month old) LOVED it! Buying tickets online was quick and easy. Parking is at the Market of Choice garage lot is literally steps away from this place and highly recommended -- FREE. You're able to leave your coat at the front too. After checking in, you walk through the bar/lounge area, which greets you with a nightlife vibe. The bar can be expensive, but I enjoyed the drinks there. I had the unicorn drink for $10 There is also one bathroom here near the bar. Good bathroom to change your kiddos! Then straight ahead is the beginning of the exhibits/rooms. If you're wondering if you can bring a stroller, yes, you can. It is ADA accessible. My daughter's top 3 favorite exhibits: Quantum Trampoline, Diodic Daydream, and Secret Garden. My 3 month old was awake for the entire 1hr - 1hr 30min stay here. The Chromesthesia exhibit kind of hurt my eyes (the red room). It was a lot for my senses. The Unknown Atmospheres and Parallel Dimension was highly stimulating with the sounds and flashing lights. The use of mirrors made it feel really trippy too. But, the ballpit (Diodic Daydream) was a BIG hit with the kids. Overall, we really enjoyed this place. Very creative, very much a commentary on different things.

Yelp
Hopscoth is an interactive art exhibition that takes guests that utilizes technology to create an immersive experience. While there are plenty of neat activities to do in Portland, I would recommend Hopscoth if you are looking for something neat and relatively kid friendly. Prior to coming, booked a reservation online to come at a timed slot. Even from the jump, there is a red web of lights at the entrance that already sets the stage for what's to come. Once checked in, there is a lounge where people can order food/drinks. Afterwards, you are free to walk around the exhibit with the trail of lights to take you to through the museum. There are impressive wall murals, interactive digital paintings and art displays, a glowing ball pit, and a rainbow maze. If this all sounds confusing, it is okay! In some ways, coming in without knowing quite what you are getting makes the experience all the more fun. While I did have fun, at my scheduled time on Saturday around 3pm, the place was pretty packed with many kids. So for those who are looking to have a peaceful time walking around enjoying the art, you may want to avoid peak times with kids (aka weekends). In terms of the time, the hostess did seem pretty flexible with the group ahead of us who came in an hour ahead of their scheduled time. It is also recommended that you wear socks! If not, they will provide you some. Overall, I thought Hopscoth was worth a visit, but if you are trying to have a date night or enjoy the art in piece, I would try to avoid the weekends.

Yelp
Hopscotch is a fascinating place to check out. It's an interactive art experience that you go through at your own pace. If you take your time you can get more than an hours worth of fun. The rooms aren't huge, the place does get packed during certain peak times. - It is still enjoyable. Food and drinks are creative so grabbing something is worth it. $24 entry isn't cheap but, it's fun. Due to it's nature the exhibits aren't rotated out that much so you likely wont' be coming here too frequently but it's definitely something to take friends and family who haven't been to. Great for adults and kids alike

Yelp
A great place to spend part of your day when looking for something to do in PDX. This place has pockets of awe for all ages and something entertaining for all groups. There is a gift store and snack area when your crew needs a break.

Yelp
A friend and I came here without a reservation (that was just lucky--I definitely recommend reservations because it was at capacity when we left 90 minutes later). We were looking for a plan b to our normal hike, and my friend suggested Hopscotch, and I'm grateful she did because... Hopscotch is pure magic! This interactive light and music exhibit is a feast for the senses. From the moment you step inside, you're immersed in a world of vibrant colors, shifting patterns, and captivating sounds that make you feel like you've stepped into a dreamscape. Medusa is the entry exhibit, which the people who welcomed us explained. We also liked the lounge area--it would be a great spot to meet friends for a drink or two as the lights pulsed to the music. I personally don't love hand chairs, but they almost fit in here. Each exhibit offers something new and exciting, inviting you to touch, play, and interact with the displays in a way that sparks joy and wonder. My favorite was the bounce room with lights that followed us like an aura--it felt like walking through a living, breathing piece of art. We were lucky to share the space with a toodler and the toodler's mother. Watching those two interact with the display was beyond magic--it was healing and beautiful. The entire experience is well-designed, family-friendly, and thought-provoking. Whether you're looking for a unique date night, a fun outing with friends, or a way to spark your creative side, Hopscotch delivers. Don't miss this one-of-a-kind Portland treasure!

Yelp
Hopscotch is such a fun place to visit & explore! Each exhibit is filled with wonder & awe. Each room has its own uniqueness filled with sensory stimulation that's interactive from the lights, sounds, & scenery. It was really cool! We spent about an hour and a half exploring each exhibit & even circled back a second time. Given we went mid-day on a Saturday, there were families with kids but it wasn't overly crowded. We ordered cocktails (adult capri suns). The bartender was nice. The drinks were delicious & made well. This place was clean & well organized making it easy to navigate. It's easy to get there with lots of free and paid street parking. It's a cool & fun place to visit & experience. Worth the price of tickets. I would come back again.

Yelp
Hopscotch was fun and exciting. There are several different rooms or installations to look at. I went with family and our children really enjoyed the ball pit...we did too. We are able to grab some drinks and food at the venue, then headed back to look at more stuff. I highly recommend this activity for people of all ages. When I first looked at the price of admission, I was undecided about the value. Now after going, the price of admission is an excellent value. You can stay as long as you want - we were there 3+ hours. Parking was slightly a pain. Street parking is available, but we couldn't find any. There is a free parking garage near, and it's for adjacent businesses, but the staff at Hopscotch said we'd be fine parking there.

Yelp
My cousins and I went here this past Saturday while visiting Portland. We had reservations at 8:45pm and we had such a great time! I feel like it was the perfect time to go, it wasn't too packed and I didn't see many kids at all. The adult capri suns were so good too. They got us to the perfect amount of tipsy and made each exhibit 10x funner lol.

Yelp
This place is sooooooo cool! I really can't explain how cool it is. It's great for both adults and kids. I, my husband, my 6 year old and my 2.5 year old all loved it. It's super interactive and just really fun. I suppose if you aren't into flashing lights and music, then you should probably skip it. I didn't try the food or the cocktails, but they looked interesting! Went at 2:45 on a Friday and it was pretty empty (which was great). As we were leaving around 5pm, it did seem to be getting busier. I've heard it's a date night place and I could totally see that. If I went back to Portland I would totally go here again.

Yelp
We had a stellar experience at Hopscotch. Awesome art and interactive exhibits. It's great to see it as a Portland staple. I'll definitely come back and bring friends and visitors with me. Pro Tip: Saturday mornings are busy with children, which can detract from the experience, but it's clearly a lot of fun for them. If you prefer a quieter visit without kids, I recommend coming in the evenings. 6PM onwards is adults only. Highly recommend checking it out! Not posting any photos and recommend going blind. It's truly a pleasure.

Yelp
One of the most incredible immersive art experiences we've ever had. Great for date or couples night too, or with friends. I started off a little skeptical, but as the exhibits drew on I was completely pulled in, felt so present, and felt the touch of whimsy and play brought on by the special digital art experiences. Each exhibit had its own value and together they all created a cohesive, beautiful experience that we absolutely cherished. We had so much fun and appreciation, as digital artists ourselves too. Additionally, the manager was so kind. There was a mixup with our tickets and they helped us resolve it. Overall I recommend anyone visiting Portland to check this out.
google avatar

Ryan Y.

Yelp
Fun, immersive, and artsy experience. Great place for team building, friends, and family. The beauty is that you can order drinks at the bar and walk through the exhibit. Drinks are great too. I didn't try any of their food.

Yelp
A great experience at hopscotch! We are in from out of town and we received this recommendation from a bartender earlier in our travels and this did not disappointment. We spent about 90 minutes at hopscotch. Our favorite rooms were the colorful light up balls, the rainbow cave, and the trampoline room. This was a great value for the $24 tickets we purchased. Definitely recommend going during the week for a less crowded experience. This was a great experience. They also have food and drinks (NA and alcoholic) available for purchase.
google avatar

Annabelle R.

Yelp
This immersive art gallery is made up of various exhibits utilizing light, sound, color, and the senses to engage visitors. It reminds me of the Color Factory (I visited the Houston location a couple years ago), except Hopscotch Portland is less expensive, more crowded, and offers alcohol; socks required to participate in some of the rooms (ie. Diodic Daydream ball pit and Quantum Trampoline). My fave was Unknown Atmospheres, by artist and designer Seth Nehil, a grid of 7000 lightbulbs and surround sound, intended to make us question perception and reality. The Secret Garden, by creative studio Wide Awake, was pretty interesting too, exploring the psychology of secrets and allowing a safe space for individuals to anonymously share their deepest and darkest with others. We tried the neon oasis adult capri-sun at the bar and lounge, which was super sweet, before heading to the gift shop and picking up a few quirky sasquatch stickers and magnets as souvenirs. This was one of our last stops during our weekend in Portland, and we certainly had a good time.

Yelp
Street parking was pretty easy - we arrived as two cars were leaving around the corner (around 4:45 pm on a Sunday evening). Check in was also a breeze - kiosks to sign waivers in case you didn't already fill one out. Coat racks right when you check in. The first stop is the bar - cocktails were a little pricey at $15. Beers around $8. You can hang out in the lounge or bring them with you throughout the exhibit. We meant to go for a date night, but had our sitter cancel last minute so we brought our 2 year old with us. He actually made the experience a lot better, seeing everything through his eyes! He loved bouncing on the enormous trampoline (which was a lot safer than a normal trampoline) and the ballpit. Overall, a fun mix of interactive exhibits. Great for families - I'm not sure how much fun this would be for a couple-- maybe better to go towards the end of the evening. I would budget 1-2 hours here.

Yelp
This was such a unique experience, and it was so much fun! First of all, there's no time limit on how long you can stay, and the space is very spacious. There are plenty of things to see and do. As I walked in, they had a self-service coat hanger, which was convenient. Next, there was a bar where you could grab a drink or some food, along with seating areas where you could relax before or after the experience. They featured different rooms, each filled with unique experiences, colors, sounds, and emotions. It was beyond amazing, and I'm definitely bringing my family here!
google avatar

Elise M.

Yelp
The service was amazing! The employees were so nice and on top of things, not to mention they are very cleanly. I brought my brother, cousin, 9 mon. daughter, and my boyfriend, just for the four of us was a little spendy, but the value i think was worth it for the memories! There is a selection of drinks here aswell, some for kids, my brother and cousin got the chocolate drink and the secret garden. It was a very cool place, It was family friendly and very fun! Which is great, sometimes it's hard to find activities for babies!
google avatar

Shelley W.

Yelp
This is such a fun place for all ages. It's an immersive art experience with some installations allowing for participation from the viewers. My favorites were the room full of string lights hanging down from the ceiling, and the trampoline. They also have food and drinks if you're feeling snacky. We got the Adult Capri Sun and the Secret Garden. If you're looking for something fun to do indoors, this is the spot!

Yelp
I'm skeptical. As in I DIDN'T see he point of this place. My friend has been here MANY times. She even has a story bookmark saved JUST for Hopscotch. I kept asking but WHY is it so special? And looked at all her posts. And pictures. (which are WAY better than mine!!) And did NOT get the hype. My other friend has been multiple times with her daughter. Sure the pictures were pretty but what's the big deal?! Well we have four ADHD people in my home. 2 adults and 2 kids. And both males are ADHD/Autistic. Our OT and therapist recommend for my kids to do this. They both said it would be AMAZING for them. I was getting more excited as time fit closer, as we DID have to book VERY far in advance. By the time we got here today, (over 20 minutes late thank you MASSIVELY LONG TRAIN!!!) we were ALL excited. My daughter started dancing and skipping as soon as we entered the large room with the artwork. The lights are beautiful. But when you become a part of them you FEEL. You feel the lights. The emotion. The fun. The energy. The joy. The goodness. One of my friends we were with said that someone told her that you can see the light WITHIN you. And within others. I love that. Every installation brings a different experience. And every installation was unique and fun. We ALL laughed a lot at the VJ yourself room. Ad the kids LOVED seeing themselves move and groove and be silly. I LOVED the Ping pong ball light strands and how much beauty we saw there. And the kids AND adults had a blast in the ball pit. We all worked and played so hard in there that we had to go get drinks at the bar. The Celestial Unicorn was by far all the kids favorite drink. I had gotten my daughter one. And my son the Medusa. He really didn't like it so I gave it to one of my daughter's friends. I had a Light Portal, which in all honesty tasted mostly like Beet juice. Which was fine with me. And a Liquid Death Sparkling water too. They do have free water and cups as well so you don't HAVE to spend money on refreshments. Tips: it's OKAY to wear a coat (it was cold AND rainy when we went...) They've got a free self coat check. Do NOT bring ANYTHING you don't mind losing into the ball pit. I found a phone. Wear a hoodie or sweatshirt if you're cold because eventually if you are REALLY being immersive, you'll get really hot and need to take it off to cool down. Is it pricey? YES. Is it INCREDIBLY fun for kids? YES!! Is it fun for adults?!? YES YES YES IT IS!!! Family day? YES! Girls Night Out? YES!!! Date night? YES!!! I had a wonderful time. I'm definitely going back. I can't say enough good. But truly y'all EXPERIENCES (greater than) THINGS
google avatar

Yelp
What an experience! This place came highly recommended by a local friend. My teenage daughters and I were visiting from out of town. I think the price is very reasonable for the experience. So many cool and unique interactive art installations. I think my favorites were the ball pit and the trampoline. The food and drink options were great, which was an unexpected bonus. Our group's age range was 13-48 and we all had an absolute blast. Highly recommend this place!!!
google avatar

Yelp
A lot of fun! Last slot of the evening seems to be a winner, especially if you're trying to squeeze in day of (they'll take walk-ins even if the website's registration has closed). Skip the drinks, wear clothes you can move in, and take your time.
google avatar

Ingrid S.

Yelp
Very cool interactive art space. It is definitely worth a visit. I went twice and the second time was less exciting. There are lots of kids here for things like a giant ball pit.
google avatar

Alisa G.

Yelp
What a unique experience! Each room touches a different kind of sense. The Secret Garden was really deep because there's floating trees that you stand under and you can hear an anonymous person's secret. There is a small private phone booth where you can share yours if you are brave enough. My favorite and the most fun experience was VJ Yourself. I don't even know how to explain it, but just go out there and bring your best moves. The drinks I had were delicious. Other than the video of how they made Fever Dream, I also had an adult Capril Sun. I was so SURPRISED about the Infinite Cosmo. The way that the Chai blended with the drink really took me away. Much recommended!
google avatar

Mindy P.

Yelp
You must go to Hopscotch if you like having fun! Being your kids, bring your partner, bring your friends. It's an experiential museum that engages all of the senses (well, maybe not all). There's a bar where you can get snacks and drinks (how fun is that?!) and you can even take your cocktail around with you. Go in the ball pit, jump on the trampoline and "paint" on the walls or "spray paint" graffiti on a brick wall. A great place for a date, a friend group or the family. If you want to go when no kids are there, they have evening hours that are adults only. I think we paid $24/ticket. It was sold out on a Sunday at 7:30, but didn't feel crowded.
google avatar

Vanessa M.

Yelp
I had been seeing videos and pictures of Hopscotch and it had been on my list for quite awhile because of how interesting it looked! We purchased our tickets online, it was $24 for adults plus their credit card processing fee of 0.96 cents and $2.94 of "fees." I'm not entirely sure what other fees this included, but it was fine. We followed their instructions on finding the parking garage but couldn't find it. Maybe we weren't looking clearly or in the right place, but it felt a little confusing for us. Regardless, we found street parking which was fine. When you enter you are greeted by someone who confirms your reservation and where you can check in coats. Then you walk into their bar area where they have a quiet amount of seating. I definitely enjoyed myself but I was left with an underwhelming experience. The installations (most of them) are in rooms sort-of-speak that just seem too small for large crowds, but we managed. Anyway, I do recommend coming at least once!

Yelp
The artistic pieces themselves were nothing short of amazing. However we ran in to one thing that truly made this experience a little less amazing. I would have never assumed a interactive art place was a huge to go for people with kids however that is exactly what it was. Unfortunately the seer amount of unruly kids really made a impact on our experience. After getting there and seeing how many kids there were we did more research. Apparently after 5 pm is adults only but the website does a terrible job of telling you that. We don't have kids and we aren't around kids much. Having kids running around, parents not watching there kids, the yelling, screaming, and lack of parenting was just to much sadly. We were not able to even go to the ball pit due to it. It would have been nice if they made it more clear about the adult only time. With that said the pieces or installments them self were great from what we saw. They were beautiful and some of them really did something for my ADHD brain. The drinks were great and we loved that they were in pouches!!! I would recommend this place but I would also say

Yelp
I absolutely loved Hopscotch! I know some ~immersive~ places, which you might think are similar to this, are often lackluster and overpriced, but Hopscotch is truly immersive art and so much fun! I went with a friend recently on my trip to Portland and had the best time. It is fun for all ages, and I was really pleased that it wasn't too crowded, so I could thoroughly enjoy each exhibit. If you like to have fun and do cool things, this is well worth the reasonable cost and your time! It's also worth noting that it was easy to get here on public transportation from downtown.

Yelp
Hopscotch is cool as a Portland novelty and it's fun to go once but beyond that there's no point to visit again. In my opinion the exhibits are cool but it's a bit overpriced for what it's worth, but fun to go with a group of friends or out of towners!

Yelp
This place was awesome! It doesn't have a whole lot to do (about 8 rooms), however, the experiences it does have are super cool! You feel like you can hang out in each room for hours! It truly does tickle all of your senses. It's just a fun and different artistic journey. We also really loved the food and drinks. I would go to this venue just for those alone. I highly recommend to go to this place at least once or you'll miss out on a unique experience you can't get anywhere else.

Yelp
Hopscotch was a phenomenal experience! Myself, my wife, and our exchange daughter (student) really enjoyed it! We absolutely loved it! So much fun and we loved the adult size ball pit and the human rights campaign exhibit! The food was also delicious. We really appreciated Andrew's hospitality and great customer service in the gift shop. The prices are very reasonable and the exhibits are well kept and the place is clean and modern. This was our second time coming and we will definitely be back! I highly recommend for a great family experience or date night experience.

Yelp
What fun! An eclectic assortment of interactive art experiences and a great place to explore with friends or a first date. A post adventure cocktail and snack are also available.

Yelp
This place is a huge wonderful immersive playground. I loved it! From the entrance already it looks cool. Multiple rooms with a way to partake and "touch" each room. From lights moving to music, to dancing in front of screens, to jumping in a lit up ball pit. Beautiful art. Some of which were extremely related to what is going on in the world. It took me about an hour plus to go through it all. I loved every room. I would go again. This is for adults and children alike. The bar was nice and you could order and roam around with it. The attendants were very nice. In two rooms you will need to take off the shoes and only be with socks. Worth it! You can have your own or wear theirs. It reminds me a little of Meow Wolf but it is different. Of note, this is not the best area of town.

Yelp
Unique Portland experience! Booked tickets for 8:15 on a Friday night, hoping that it wouldnt be too busy and it wasn't nearly as busy as I expected (which was awesome)! There was (rare) free parking in a nearby garage which was super convenient. Check in was quick and friendly. There's a bar right after check in and you can bring drinks and snacks with you through the exhibits. Very unique and cool experiences. One of my favorites was the Secret Garden-where you can literally listen to peoples secrets and tell your own. Although the one drawback for me were the kids. I was told there was no young children allowed after 6pm but that was not the case and there was a little more than I would have preferred. Overall a unique experience and a great place for a group of friends, or even a date!

Yelp
This is probably the coolest museum I have ever been to! All of the exhibits are interactive in some way and the whole experience is wonderfully immersive. We definitely got our moneys worth and had an absolute blast. The staff is all really friendly and kind! I appreciated their guidance when needed, but most of the museum is self guided. Their menu is incredible- gluten free Mac and cheese, pizza flavored popcorn, frozen hot cocoa. So many fun items and all ones that you could bring along throughout the exhibit. It reawakened a sense of play in us and we were laughing and smiling the whole time. Definitely memorable and worth every penny. I would love to come back on a 21+ night (if they have them) because the kids were a little disruptive. This is a MUST in Portland!

Yelp
For me, a new city means check out a cool museum. Portland, Oregon, didn't disappoint. The Hopscotch interactive art museum offers a captivating experience with its cool rooms, vibrant energy, and friendly bartenders. The unique Secret Garden room adds an intriguing touch, allowing visitors to share secrets that are anonymously said outloud under the shades of trees. The Sound and Color room provides a sensory journey, while the interactive graffiti wall fosters appreciation for street artists. The overall experience is a delightful blend of creativity, atmosphere, tasty drinks, and bites. This is a must experience for a fun night with family, friends, or a unique date.

Yelp
Such a cute place! I had sooooo much fun and it made me feel like a little kid again, definitely recommend! And I love that they highlight local Portland artists in the galleries. A very experimental, trippy, yet impactful experience this was!

Yelp
I didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised by some of the exhibits while others were a bit...uncomfortable, which is what I'm guessing the artists were going for. The murals were beautiful, the Secret Garden was interesting and one of my favorites and overall my friend and I found it to be a fun interactive experience. Four stars due to price; seems a little high. Side note: if you're a bit of a germaphobe, there are quite a few exhibits that will make you cringe.

Yelp
The only two things making this a 3 star review is the lack of phone number to get in touch (searched every inch of their website, there is none) and the fact that the room with the ball pit smells SO strongly of feet. Very cool experience, not necessarily one I'd do more than once based on price. It can feel a little congested at times depending on how many people pack in to each room. Overall vibe is cute, colors are fun, lots to look at!

Yelp
This place is pretty cool... easy to find and parking is on the street. We were all adults visiting this for the first time. The bathrooms were really clean. We didn't try any food or drink because we had plans after this The different rooms are interesting and immersive. Some of the rooms are a "for kids" experience. Kids were everywhere. FYI, There is a ball pit, which smelled like pee. The snow cave room was really cool. We thought the tour would be longer but that's OK. We left wondering if they were going to change up the rooms in the future so that you could come back for a different experience.

Yelp
My first trip to Hopscotch did not disappoint!! I can't wait to come back and bring my kiddos with. This is a great experience for just about everyone and all ages.
