Asian fusion brewpub with robata grill, sushi & ramen

"Brewmaster Andy Tan continues to wow with both the food and beer at his Asian brewpub Hopstix in Chamblee. Order everything from savory bowls of miso ramen, chicken satay, pork belly baos, and even sushi and a selection of robata skewers grilled over charcoal. On pleasant days and evenings, grab a seat on the front patio with a pint of Rice and Shine (a refreshing jasmine rice lager) or the Shaolin Showdown (an orange smoked Chinese black rice lager). The patio at Hopstix is surprisingly quiet despite its proximity to Peachtree Road." - Eater Staff
"A Chamblee fusion spot offering a special Lunar New Year menu on Feb 10, giving out red-packet envelopes to children and hosting a lion dance around 5:00 p.m. as part of the festivities." - Eater Staff
"A Chamblee brewpub founded by a former home brewer who fell in love with fermentation, it focuses on beers inspired by Asian and other global cultures and often incorporates rice into recipes. The flagship Rice and Shine is a Japanese-style lager brewed with house-steamed rice; as the brewery expands to supply the Beltline restaurant, it plans specialty releases such as a Mexican lager brewed with Oaxacan green corn, a Vienna-style lager with toasted black rice, plus IPAs and other Mexican-style beers designed to pair with the food." - Beth McKibben

"Included in Chamblee’s downtown entertainment district that took effect July 1, this establishment may participate in the city’s open-container area between Ingersoll Rand Drive and McGaw Drive, allowing patrons to consume off-premise alcoholic beverages within the designated boundaries under strict rules: drinks must be served in clear plastic cups bearing the establishment’s logo and an authorized city sticker, and open containers must be disposed of by 10:00 p.m. Possession of open beverages outside the district, after 10:00 p.m., or in unauthorized containers can result in citations or fines. The district is intended to promote local businesses, walkability, and community gathering; state rules on to-go cocktails (SB 236) still apply where municipalities permit them, including limits on quantity, container type, alcohol content, and purchaser identification." - Beth McKibben
