All of Eater D.C.‘s Cheap Eats Week Coverage | Eater DC

"I noted that Horace and Dickie’s has been dishing up excellent fried seafood off H Street NE since 1990, well before the area’s later restaurant and bar boom, and Eater photographer Rey Lopez captured its busy Saturday afternoon rush during Cheap Eats Week." - Eater Staff

I wish I could give them no stars! I’ve been a loyal customer for decades. Imagine my surprise when I got my piece of croaker that had not been descaled. As soon as I open the box, I called the restaurant and the young lady told me that’s how the fish comes now. I have NEVER been served fish with scales on it. I asked her to let new management know they needed to research how to cook fish and politely let her know they had lost a customer. If that’s how it comes now when I’m spending $20, I don’t need to go back.

This restaurant doesn’t even deserve the one star I’m giving it. Against my better judgment—and despite reading the reviews—my husband and I decided to give this place a try. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely underwhelming. The fish was fried too soft for my liking, so I politely asked if it could be refried to make it a bit crispier. The young woman at the counter with dreads was kind and said yes, but the cook completely ignored my request. He wandered around the store and didn’t return to the kitchen until I picked the fish up off the counter myself. The sides were just as disappointing. The collard greens, yams, and green beans were served lukewarm, which is surprising since they were supposedly in a warmer. The yams, in particular, were the worst—tasting like they’d only been boiled in water and vanilla extract. They lacked essential ingredients like butter and sugar, and the flavors didn’t blend at all. Each component stood out in the worst way. I genuinely try to support businesses in the Black community, but this was a complete waste of $60—including the tip. We ended up throwing the food in the trash. Save your time, money, and appetite—avoid this establishment at all costs.

I had a taste for some catfish after church. I asked Siri where I could get some and she led me to H&D. I don’t know what these other folks are talking about. I just finished (well ate as much as I could) a catfish sandwich and a side of sweet potatoes that they kindly let me “taste” for no charge. Both are hittin. The catfish was thick, crispy and very well seasoned. And I consider myself a foodie and hard to please. The gentleman at the register and the cook were super courteous as well. I walked in off the street and was out the door with my hot delicious fish in about 10 minutes. I will be returning. Probably next Sunday if I’m being honest 😊

Google
The services and food were awful. I ordered bonefish and had to wait for the fish to be thawed out 15 minutes prior to being cooked and received . I drove home and realized that they gave me the wrong order. When I pulled up to the restaurant, I thought the restaurant was closed. However, the employees were on the side of the building getting high. The establishment has gone down hill since it has been brought with new management. Last month, I had a bonefish dinner and the potatoes were undone and being served to customers.

Google
This sure it's the the Horace & dickies from back in the day. Average at best. The fish is long and thin., hardly no meat. Way over priced. Coleslaw was warm. Service was just OK. No forks in the bag, 2 tart sauces with a small, and I do mean small squeeze of starter sauce. nothing special at all. No pride in the service at all. I should have went to Lucas seafood..

Google
Went here today and we had the chicken and whiting combo and the shrimp and whiting comb, mac and cheese, collard greens and potato salad and the banana pudding. The collards and the potato salad were sweet to me and the mac and cheese tasted as if it had Lawry's in it. Now if you come from a household that seasons their noodles for mac and cheese I'm not accustomed to that but it's probably going to taste good to you. The banana pudding was alright, it reminded me of eating cake batter taste wise. The consistency was whipped and light, not so much a pudding and I appreciated that. All in all, 4 out of 5 stars and I would go back.

Google
Torch!! A good local eatery my fish always fresh and hot. I normally get a whiting dinner or sandwich. Won’t feel like you’ve wasted your hard earned money.

Google
The fish here is always amazing, but I ordered the shrimp po boy and was highly disappointed. When I opened the container once I got home I shocked to see how empty it was. There hardly any ingredients. If you see the lettuce is almost nonexistent and the shrimp looks like it should just be a side. Maybe they should provide smaller bread to make the sandwich look like it was worth the cost because I would’ve been better off just ordering a thing of shrimp. Also the fries were soggy and had NO seasoning. Such a waste of money. Only saving grace for the place now for me is the fried whiting. I’m very disappointed. The fish is the reason for 3 stars.

Yelp
There is plenty of parking at this location unlike when it used to be in DC. Glad to see this spot is in PG County. I love the fish back in the day!

Yelp
Hmm so my coworkers and I w some food for pickup. The fried shrimp was a bit over cooked and one order of the hush puppies was NoT included in our food order although we paid for it, but the ones that were included were good. The green beans were just okay. I probably won't order from them again. My coworker picked up the ordered food so I cannot comment on the service or ambiance.

Annie B.

Yelp
Paid for my order for the next day and when I went to pick up my 40 pieces of fish they had closed for the day. It was Fourth of July and they closed early. No one reached out to me and that was my contribution to the cookout that I was going to!! I was extremely disappointed. Can't believe they conducted business like that. They had my money, but didn't provide the merchandise!! I was trying to support a black owned business and then I find out that it is not even black owned anymore. I went the next day to get my cash back and they wanted to put it on my card because the young lady that was running the register didn't have permission to do cash refunds. No, that's not how I paid you give me my money they eventually did, but I would not patronize this establishment anymore. If I could give it a minus rating I would because this was not good business. The young lady behind the cash register was very professional. She apologized because it was not her fault. She just worked there. She is not the owner.

Michelle S.

Yelp
I wish I could give them a 0! I've been a loyal customer for decades. Imagine my surprise when I got my croaker and it wasn't descaled! I called the restaurant and the young lady told me that's how it comes now. I have never been served fish with scales on it! This is unacceptable and I won't be going back!

Yelp
I've been here before and thought the food was pretty decent and I was in the mood for some soul food from a reputable D.C staple that has been serving the area for decades. Low and behold I place a online order for Horace and Dickies with the menu sounding mouth watering with plenty of selections. I had placed a order for a fried shrimp dinner with my two sides being green beans and mac and cheese with one wing on the side. Easy enough right? It doesn't take that long to fry up some shrimp??? I had ordered while I was shopping over on Andrews AFB and they told me my order would be ready at 6:35pm....I walk in and see some bags on the to-go counter that also serves as an open kitchen and show them my phone thinking that I'll pick up my order and go....Big mistake! I get there and they tell me its going to take a few more minutes...fine...as long as the food is hot. But then they kept pushing back the time and the cooks seem to be bullsh!tting in the back and were getting agitated with customers that were asking for their food. A woman had to come back in with her food and let them know that it was cold and they seemed to be ticked off by that. Then their was another customer who came in trying to talk to the main cook about football and the cook engages in a conversation with him about the football teams. Sir! No one cares right now! We just want our food! The place was crowded...to be expected for a Friday night and there were several seats that were available to sit but most were taken by those of us who were waiting on our food for to-go. After waiting nearly 40 additional minutes I had to cancel. I was upset because I was hungry and when I was walking out the door the cook had a pile of tickets he had yet to get to. SMH!

Tara M.

Yelp
Ordered the Fried catfish and crab cake platters. They were cooked to order and they were EXCELLENT!!

Annie B.

Yelp
I placed two orders for their Jumbo Mama special. This order consists of 6 pieces of whiting. Each delivered order only contained four pieces of whiting. Their food is very tasty and we were anxiously waiting for the food. We were very disappointed and felt cheated.

Yelp
big moma!. i visited your restaurant yesterday, im a long time customer, i have followed you from dc. i have nerver, and i mean nerver! order and received the type of food, that i received yesterday. it was the worse. 1. let's start with the (cashier) customer service, there was none, the young lady when u asked her about side items, she had a comment for everythang, "oh yeaha people say the potatoe salad was nasty, potatoes not cooked, its sweet, i didnt ask for all that, i simply asked u have potatoe salad today, freshly made, my last visit my potatoe salad was sour. 2. her tone she has no customer service nothin. i placed my order, i asked do u have crab cakes, cause thats whats on the menu. i want yall to look at my plate, i dont know what that was a ball of salt, burned up salt. i guess they where surpose too be crab balls, not crab cakes, (crab balls) they where salty as he****. my fish was not fried hard, my french fries was dropped in the grease for i-min they where uncooked. the batter was fallen off the shrimp. big moma!!! i nerver throught that i would follow you for so long and so far, im a loyal customer all the way from dc, i throught i would nerver receive a mess like i did on 02/14/25. u just lost a loyal customer, and if u dont make some changes, with you staff, straten with the cashier, down to the cook! oh best believe you gonna loose a lot more "paper" if you know what i mean.....

Yelp
I tipped 20% and received burnt chicken. They don't care about our money. They act like they are working hard but look at the results. We have to let this restaurant die so we can get a better one in the community. Why would you serve people burnt chicken when it's so easy to do the right thing. Plus the cashier stayed on her phone and let me leave with no fries. I hope the Glenarden location is not this bad. No adults in the building, just kids, either hire or fire a manager please. Soft shoes smoking cigarettes in the back of the store, no uniform, no respect.

Yelp
12st and H is Closed??? I am a visitor to DC and had stayed on H and 8th when I discovered your Takeout Joint. It was everything I LOVE About a fish & chicken Spot. Only to find it replaced By Tacos. And a Mexican Run Popeyes?? Around the Corner. Black Businesses Leave and the next migrants Takeover. And there goes The neighborhood. Literally. What was once an up and coming gentrification Reverted back to Ghetto. And I no longer would Even consider being located In the area. I ended up buying That rancid chicken. And Cursing the day I ever tried Your delectables. Needless to say I may never Have your fish again as I Don't want to spend an Hour on public transit and 3 different forms of transport To reach the 4th st Maryland Location. F*cking DC!!!!

Don B.

Yelp
Although the service is slow, the food is good. I do have a problem with listening to music with lots of profanity while waiting. How disrespectful to customers.
google avatar

Tre-c P.

Yelp
Let me start off with the positive. The cashier is/was amazing. She cared about the customers that were waiting for hours. The cooks were ghetto and unprofessional. They were not taking orders as they come, one of the cooks said they were getting the big orders out first no matter when you came in. This place was pretty packed because of Good Friday. One lady brought her fish back because they cooked the fish frozen. We have to care a little more or get out of our communities.

V M.

Yelp
Received our order and was less than please. Catfish was delicious but the potatoes were not cooked in the potato salad and the Mac and cheese was soooo light skinned that the cheese must have been an option. I will pass on this establishment but wish them and the dedicated clientele all the best.

Barbara H.

Yelp
If I could leave no Stars I would have. I ordered a Croaker dinner and Whiting & Chicken dinner through DoorDash. Got my order and didn't get the wings. I called back and I was told I had to come and pick the wings up. I told the young man I didn't have transportation that's why I used DoorDash. And he told me there is nothing that he could do for me. How about putting my money back on my card. I should have looked at the reviews before I ordered because the reviews aren't good at all. Lesson Learned
google avatar

Khoran M.

Yelp
Awesome I can't express it anymore than that. The franchise has always held up To their end and the food is always on point, the staff is professional and they should be proud of how far they have come.

Yelp
Placed an order on Door Dash for pickup. I went to the pickup widow when it said my order was ready. There was no order and I was told they'd call me by name when it's ready. They never called so I checked again 15 minutes later and I get the same response. I let another 30 minutes go by and go back to the window, the guy has an attitude and doesn't offer any kind of explanation as to why my order isn't ready and can't find my ticket. I go to the cashier to cancel refund my order and let her know they gave me no explanation about what happened but she saw the order on her end. Other than that, I can only assume the food is good since there was a steady flow of people coming and going while I sat there waiting. I love supporting black owned businesses in my community and hate writing this review. I'm going to assume this was an anomaly and I'm probably going to try them again in the future.
google avatar

Darrel Y.

Yelp
This place was one of the worst places I've ever eaten at macaroni and cheese garbage. They cut up one piece of fish and said it was two

Gina S.

Yelp
NEVER , NEVER, NEVER again will I patronize this restaurant. I ordered a bone croaker sandwich. In addition to it being over priced in comparison to other locations, the fish was not fresh nor was it cooked properly. (see picture). As you can see, obviously the fish was not coated in enough corn meal or coating. When I questioned the staff and management about it, I was told that's how they fry their fish. My request for a refund or reasonable credit was denied. I literally threw the sandwich in the trash can outside the restaurant - almost $20(including tip) gone!!!! If this is how the fish is fried at H&D, I will not patronize any locations in the future.

Yelp
I Love the catfish. Fried nicely. Not greasy. Granddaughter enjoys the chicken wings

Yelp
I really struggled with having to write this review because I really do like Horace & Dickies (Allentown Rd), but lately the food has been really really bad. For example, the potato's in the potato salad is sometimes raw and under cooked or overcooked and mushy with no flavor. Last time I was there I got the green beans, and I couldn't figure out what was going on with them, but they were really dark and had a weird texture and flavor, maybe they were old. I have gotten the collard greens a few times and they taste like someone dumped a whole can of old bay In them and on other occasions they had no flavor at all. I usually get the whiting or the catfish and lately the catfish has been terribly salty, so salty that it gave me a headache. The mac & cheese is hit or miss. These are typically the items that I get, so I can't speak to the other food. I really hope that they can fix whatever it is that's going on with the food because they are truly a staple in the community and I want to continue to patronize them and see them do well, but for now I can't!

Yelp
Seafood salad!! Seafood salad!! So today I came here for lunch and ordered the seafood combo platter that came which shrimp, whiting and a crab cake. I prefer my crab cakes baked but other than that it was ok...nothing to make me wanna slap my momma! (Hahaaa!!) anyhoo for my sides I ordered string beans, Mac and cheese, joans yams, potato salad and seafood salad. All that food and it was the SEAFOOD SALAD for me!! I just added a little bit of O'bay to it and it was perfect!! I also ordered the banana pudding and I guess it was good the way my hunnie cleaned the bowl...lol I'll definitely return for the seafood salad...I also want to try the strawberry and lemon cake!! They were out when I came...but next time!! (Fingers Crossed) Oh and don't forget to check in on yelp and receive your free soda!! Restaurant was clean, staff friendly...i placed my order over the phone and it was ready by time I got there!

Yelp
Boy I pulled up in the rain! Finally found myself on that side of town since the H st kicked them out() and I was happy to see a larger location with the same great taste.

Yelp
I placed an order at Horace and Dickies in Camp Springs this afternoon. When I arrived I paid for my order and the attended informed me that my order number was 49. A customer came in after me, paid for her order and either she picked up an order and left. She then returned and gave the order back to the attendant. I then went up to the counter and asked if that order was number 49 and it was. I never heard anyone call out any order numbers, my question is once you call in your order and you come in and pay for it, do you just go to the counter and pick up? Something is wrong with this picture. I really should have requested a replacement order. Also, the fish was good but the green beans are a little too salt. I don't know what was going on with the Mac and Cheese, but it was like it was scraped from the bottom, (not good) and the hush puppies, (???). My apologies for the complaints, but I never have experienced anything like this from Horace & Dickies. Praying my next visit is better.**

Yelp
If you are a native Washingtonian , you know about Horace & Dickie's. This new location lives up to the reputation and some. I was very impressed with the speed of service. Before I could place my receipt into my wallet my order was ready. For me that's a first! My cashier was the young lady that was seen when they were featured on "Man vs Food. I ordered the big mama special fish sandwich. It was big enough to share with four others and everyone was satisfied. This comes with a side of coleslaw, which is delicious and creamy. My experience at this location was nice all of the staff was friendly and helpful. We laughed together at the reminder to please check your bag before leaving the store. I did just that and everything was fine with my order. Parking seems limited, most of the spaces looked occupied by the staff. Inside it's small and the majority of the space is occupied with the counter and cooking area. I would suggest pickup only unless you don't mind leaving with the scent of fried fish .

Yelp
I've eaten at places where the food was substandard but the service was stellar but this is the first I ate at a place where the food was scrumptious but the service was substandard. As a native Washingtonian I was sad to hear Horace Dickies at 12th and H Streets NE in DC was closing for good. I've been going there for years. The staff there were nice they laughed and joked with each other and with customers who were regulars. You felt so welcomed that you didn't mind that there was no parking and that restaurant itself was small and cramped or that often the line was out the door because you knew two things the food was going to be good and the staff was going to make you feel welcomed. I was excited to here that Horace and Dickies now had several other locations. I visited the Allentown Road in Camp Springs location today with the expectation that the food and service would be excellent like the former 12th and H Street location. I was disappointed. The food was exceptional as I remembered but the staff with the exception of the cashier needs a crash course in CUSTOMER SERVICE. My sister and I sat down to eat when we noticed the side of green beans we ordered and paid for was not in the bag. My sister went to area where you receive your food and told the young man he forgot to put the green beans in the bag. He asked "did you check the bag? My sister said yes and I held the bag up for him to see that we did not have the green beans he then asked to see the receipt and my sister said she didn't know what she did with it surely you don't think I would ask for something I didn't pay for? My sister went back to speak with the very pleasant cashier to get proof she ordered and paid for green beans the cashier confirmed that my sister did order and pay for green beans and as my Sister turned around to go back to get what she paid for another staff person in the kitchen area said "she know she is lieing my sister then told the female employee you are rude and unprofessional the female continued making statements and my sister said that's ok we won't come here anymore I need to speak to the manager. The manager was headed our way and I thought sure she would be apologetic in the interest of good customer service NOT she barked "did you get what you wanted?" My sister said yes but good customer service goes a long way the manager barked back "I agree but did you get what you wanted?" My sister said yes then the manager said GOOD in the future you have a problem you speak to me. YOU DON'T TALK TO MY COOKS!!!! Now mind you there were other patrons there watching and listening to all of this one of the patrons said "wow when the manager came I thought she was going to smooth things over she was worse than her staff, she was condescending and they don't have to worry about him returning. My sister and I said the same we won't be returning either. I guess the Horace and Dickies the DC community have come to know and love really is gone.

Sharon G.

Yelp
The food tasted like it was cooked the day before and reheated, the customer service was non existent and the manager was a joke. It was a pick up order and when I got home only half my items were in the bag. Called the restaurant in Takoma park to try and get a corporate number was unsuccessful. Don't go to the restaurant in Suitland you will be wasting your time and money!!!!!

Yelp
Oh Lord, where do I start. I have really tried to support Black Owned businesses, but this will be the LAST time I visit this place. I ordered the Whiting Platter with fries and potato salad. First off, since COVID they have increased their prices!! (Thanks for supporting the community where you have families that are barely making it!). I have never had food get cold so quickly and I live right down the street. The fish was thin and DRY as the Sahara Desert. Nothing about it was appealing, NO, NONE, NADDA seasoning at all. Now I have to question humanity when a person of color can not fry fish...LOL. C'mon People, really! The tartar sauce tasted like something you get from the Dollar Store, watery and tasteless. The fries were ok, I mean they are just frozen fries, so not too hard to mess that up. So let me get to the REAL reason I will NEVER return to this location. My order came with two sides. I checked my bag, no potato salad. I told the cashier and then some man, came up and asked what's wrong, I stated again, my PS is missing. He said are you sure, and stuck his hand in my back!!!! (If looks could kill). Then he asked he cashier for my order receipt, which clearly indicated what I had ordered. Now, what was the point for all that. I said it was not in there, all that for some PS. Then he yells to the guy in the back, "Yes, she asked for PS, he yells back, "Oh, my bad". I am not going to say what I really want to say and I am proud of myself for not cursing in the review. Next time I will cook my own damn fish (opps) and it will be 1000 times better than the CRAP they serve. So do yourself a favor, bypass this ghetto establishment and find another place to get your fish! The BEST fried fish in town will always be my Daddy house. He is from SC and when I tell you its the BEST it is and he taught me well. I dont know what I was thinking other than being tired and hungry.

Yelp
This place made me cuss. I'm saying cuss instead of curse because I was LIVID! I called Horace and Dickie's location on Allentown Rd. to inquire about buying a gift card. The young lady that answered the phone told me that this store doesn't sell them, but the store in Waldorf does. I drive to Waldorf a d the lady at the counter tells me that Allentown road sells them. Long story made short, Dickie's doesn't even sell gift cards or certificates. I will never go there again.

Fallyn G.

Yelp
Efficient service and process to get you in and out. Conpliments to the chef and all the cooks. The guys are friendly, hard working and are doing an excellent job by making sure customers receive quality tasting fish, even with the Good Friday crowd. The ladies on staff, the host along with the cashier seemed very annoyed which may be due to the line still being out the door an hour before closing. Although nowhere near closing the host took it upon herself not to let anymore folks in. The cashier was cussing and joking instead of ringing people up quickly. She was determined not to rush. No worries, don't let that stop you from getting a tasty fish dinner at a reasonable price. Next time don't go on Good Friday, but if you do keep your order simple and to the point. #goodfridayfish #fallynsfoodieexcursions

Yelp
Take out of Fish and Chicken platter w/side of mac & cheese. Large pieces of fish, fried hard as requested but still moist. Wings were crispy and good. Enough for 2 meals. I'll order this again.

Waddell M.

Yelp
The fish has a good flavor the portion size are good . The sides are very good a little small for the price of the overall meal. The macaroni and cheese is awful dry ,dry, dry stay away from it. Overall I would go back there but I think this is a place that started out great and after just going a few times I can see that they need to go back to the roots. This business needs to realize people like you for what you do now, not for what you used to do.Back to the basic the roots.

Yelp
I'm sorry but, the one in DC will be greatly missed. I ordered the fish and it was hot and the color was golden but this is where it stopped. There was no seasoning to it whatsoever. Maybe it was an off day but, I've tasted better and expected more because of the name. I will try again at a later time and I've told people about this location.

Andreah S.

Yelp
I don't know how I feel. The juice was amazing. Macaroni dry as hell, the crab cake well let's just say I am a little disappointed. I should assumed that it was a tad bit too much filling and I'm not too eager to try the greens at this point. But I'm going to because I'm fair.. (mediocre) They aren't very tasteful. So yeah the best thing was the juice. I have had them before in a different location when they only had one and I just wish this was the same.
google avatar

Robert S.

Yelp
The Mac & Cheese needed a little help but the rest was ok. To date, we're in "Covid 19 season" and I'm all for tipping and doing extra because I'm appreciative of having options. My goal these days are to get in and out of a restaurant so arguing or even complaining doesn't even come to mind but... The price on the menus are different than what they charged me! They took a few more than advertised.

Yelp
Started years ago going to the DC (H Street) location for " fried fish in Friday's". Fish was always hot and good. Also, the guys would give good nice crispy portions! Now Im visiting the MD location in PG County still good and the fresh homemade cakes are delicious. My favorite cheat spot on Friday's! Friendly, black owned neighborhood business...awesome!

Yelp
This is a new location for Horace & Dickie's in Suitland, Md. I've been to the original location on H St. in Washington, D.C. You can actually eat inside at this location. Upon entering you order at the main counter and once you receive your food you pay and receive your drink at the bar/register. The layout is nice and spacious. I ordered the Whiting Fish dinner with potato salad and collard greens. The fish came out piping hot and you get 4-5 Big filets. The sides came in pint containers. The potato salad was delicious and homemade but I think the greens were canned. Some hot sauce gave the greens an assist. I'd give this location a 3.5. My subtractions are for the greens and prices. I understand location but $18 is a lot for Fish and canned sides. I'll come back, though, because the fish is just that good.

Yelp
Disgusting! Ordered a catfish platter and 4 piece wing. The catfish is bland and soggy. The chicken is also bland and fried so hard that the meat is dry and chewy. It tastes as if the chicken was old and refried. Couldn't even enjoy the sides because the fish and chicken was so disappointing. Do better.

Yelp
Good Friday knew I had to have fish today. Went to Horace and Dickies. I spent 1:30nrs there without getting any food. The owner, plus the service was terrible. I called in my order 3:15pm by 4,45pm still no food. The H st location was small so you knew you had to wait 45mins easy. The people that were in front me had all left. People that came in after me, were leaving...... Good Friday and these folks are going to make me late for church. So that I didn't lose my religion I just left without my food. Grub hub gave me a refund.

Yelp
I decided to order per use to buy from the H St. location before they closed. Ordered through Uber Eats, when driver picked up, H&D didn't have any collards and offered another item because they don't offer refunds through Uber Eats, asked for a split between regular and sweet potato fries but they could do it even they inconvenienced me because it's two orders. I said split 1/2 and 1/2 is a whole side. The fried shrimp was very salty!

Yelp
I'm going to stop trying to eat here and patronize this black business. Restaurants closes at 9 pm per the website, but I called to place an order at 8:15 pm and was informed they close the doors at 8:20 pm. What? Like what kind of business are y'all running? It's going into the ground. No matter how good their food is, they don't have to worry about my black hard-earned dollar again. Sad you can't support your own.

Yelp
I ordered the whiting dinner with sides of Mac and cheese and collard greens. Everything was delicious. My only thing is, I wish the fish had more seasoning in the batter, but I understand people's tastbuds are different and a lot of people can't have too much salt. So less is better than more. The mac and cheese was perfect for me because I don't like mine to be runny. Will definitely be ordering from them again!

Yelp
I read the reviews and I thought "There's no way this location only gets 2.5 stars", so I had to go give it a shot. Welp...yeah yelp was right, 2.5 stars is right on. The staff was friendly and the restaurant itself was clean. The restaurant had space for about 15-20 people to eat in, along with some TVs to watch while you eat, so that was cool. I ordered the chicken and fish combo and it was extremely disappointing . The chicken wings were small bland and hard. Wings tasted as if they were cooked yesterday and reheated. The whiting was thin and lacked flavor as well. I cant speak to the quality of the sides, I was so blown about the chicken and fish, I wasn't even interested in trying the sides. I probably won't give this location another try to get it right. I will just stick with my go to - Around the Clock Chicken and Fish, where they get it right every time.

Yelp
Omgggg I was so excited to see this place closer to me. Food is amazing and staff is super friendly. They are really clean and serve wine and beer. I didn't want to leave lol. I got the whiting fish dinner with two sides. It's so much food. The collard greens were a little bland but I think it's because a lot of people can't eat salt. I put hot sauce on it and they were just fine. The Mac n Cheese was amazing. I will definitely be going back and taking my moms and her boo with me.

Yelp
I ordered the fish plate. It's supposed to have 6 pieces of fish. I get home and of course I got a whopping 4 pcs of fish smh. The worst part I eben gave them a tip. The only reason I didn't look in the container is because it's Rona season. If you go to this establishment count your fish.

Yelp
The restaurant provides a great exposé of fried seafood and southern style sides. Highly Recommended!

Yelp
Really irritating when you order delivery and all your food is not delivered. Super irritating when they attach receipt with the list of your food on the receipt and they still don't even bother to put it in the bag. First time shame on you second time shame on me won't be back lesson learned got it.You staple the receipt on the bag but did anybody bother to read it? I guess that's asking too much. No cake for me today...
