The 12 Best Vegan Restaurants in London, England | Eater

"London’s preeminent wholesaler of Trinidadian dhal puri roti, buss up shut, and pholourie balls, Horizon opens to the public from Thursdays to Saturdays. Stop in for some doubles, the delicious and deeply moreish Trinidadian breakfast food consisting of fried bara and chickpea curry dressed with tamarind and a little pepper sauce. Eat on the forecourt or in your car." - Adam Coghlan

London’s Best Caribbean Food | Trinidadian Roti Restaurants in London | Eater London

"Hidden among clothing factories and food packaging depots is one of the U.K.’s oldest and largest Trinidadian food companies, Horizon Foods. It’s also one of north London’s best-kept secrets. As it’s not a shop per se, the mass volume of rotis created each day — going to the likes of high street upstart Wrap It Up — allow for favourable wholesale prices for walk-in customers. Its no wonder the hungry drive up from all over the south east of the country to stock up on chickpea-infused dalpuri roti skins, bags of pholouri balls, and aloo pies." - Riaz Phillips

Very tasty and affordable roti skins, vegetable rotis and pholourie. I was very impressed with the consistency, authenticity and trini Caribbean flavours. Well seasoned and not overly spicy either. Very pleasant customer service every time I go here. I look forward to my next visit soon.

Bought a chicken roti which was delicious. Packed full of chicken and potato curry. The chicken was tender and curry tasty. Forgot to take pics! Horizon Foods is tucked away on an industrial estate minutes from North Middlesex Hospital. Also bought a packet of roti skins for about £12. Good value for money as large size. Will definitely return.

This post is not about the food. So, I was at Northmid and decided to walk down to Bull Lane to get some roti. It's supposed to close at 3.30pm on Wednesdays according to the time schedule posted but it is closed and it's not even 3.30pm. PLEASE post new opening and closing times Thank you.

Wow, these are the best dhal puri roti skins I’ve had in the UK! My friend kindly brought some to work, and I haven’t stopped thinking about them since! Highly recommend if you’re craving authentic, delicious roti. Can’t wait to have them again!

Disappointed! I visited from TT a few weeks ago and my mom purchased Buss up shut and Dhalpuri Roti and the quality of the Buss up shut left much much to be desired. It was more like sada than Buss up shut and is a desecration to this Caribbean staple. Also, the Dhalpuri had no separating sheets and so they kept bursting when taking them out. I recommend that the establishment revisits the recipe and techniques for making authentic Caribbean Buss up shut. We will no longer be supporting this business.

No problem with Dhal puri, foods is good however customer service not good leaves alot to be desired rude girl serving please send staff dealing with the public to customer service training. After years of being a loyal customer from your Hackney shop now to Bull Lane I will now have to go elsewhere.

Recently I bought quite a bit of Dhal Puri (Roti with split peas) from here. I’ve purchase on and off over the years as a backup when I’m not in mood to make it myself. I bought packs of large 10 and was really disappointed as they had far too many split peas which were just gushing out of the roti. When trying to separate, many were all stuck together, leaving split peas again to spill out, as my packs didn’t have anything separating them. The following day they were extremely dry and were just breaking, I’ve never seen so many split peas in my life, it was just a mess. It never used to be like this and shouldn’t. Sadly I won’t be going back, even though staff are friendly, especially the young lady on reception. It’s money in the bin.
