The Hörnlingen is a good night out. The food is superb and served with flair. There are no theatrics or particularly bold flavors, but it is nevertheless a great showcase of what's possible with regional ingredients.
The front-of-house team was personable, efficient and attentive. They went to great lengths to accommodate a vegetarian and a lactose-intolerance without compromising the experience.
There's a generosity to their approach here and you can be sure that nice surprises will be scattered throughout the experience.
One huge downside is how loud it gets. The combo of high-density seating and hard surfaces means that conversations have to be shouted. A few acoustic panels would go a long way.
