Google
Horse Thief Hollow on 104th & Western is a great place for locals and people looking for good food and it's also a Brewery for craft beers. . I enjoyed the Cocktails. I'm trying to go through the menu but the Expresso Martini, Blood Orange Margarita, Spiced Rum Old Fashioned, They had the Neil's Barrel-Aged Old Fashioned which was the best Old Fashioned that I ever had anywhere! The Buffalo wings were good. Old Man Tom's Gumbo was great. (also bit on the spicy side) The Backyard Grilled Angus perfect. I was overall impressed by the food and ambience. Oh yeah, the Beignets were tastier than Nawlins.

Google
The food was AMAZING! Their burgers are very big and filling and their beignets were so good. Staff was friendly and quick to serve. And i'm usually not a pickle girly, but their pickles were soooo fire

Google
Love the atmosphere. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable, and answered every question we had about the food and drinks. The beef tenderloin salad with fried goat cheese and balsamic was absolutely out of this world. The pretzels with cheese sauce is not a traditional pretzel and cheese you would expect from any bar... it is a posh almost sour dough pretzel bite with the most flavorful cheese sauce with just the right amount of heat. Cheese burger with bacon and bacon jam... another delicious choice. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for an amazing food and drink experience. Kid friendly.

Google
Place was awesome definitely a place to give a try. The food was really good and the nachos were huge.. Drink and food selections were on the limited side but still has a wide variety to choose from.. I would say craft beer meets a bourbon bar with pub food. Hits alot of marks just didn't get a bullseye on any of them.. but not a bad place or experience overall.

Google
Extremely disappointed. Been there only twice -first time a year ago and had a good experience -great food, good service . Today not so much at all! 1 waitress for the entire restaurant. I ordered a Steak wedge salad $14 Thinking I get a little meat - it’s called Steak Wedge salad I received a wedge of iceberg lettuce with 1/2 a piece of bacon ( if that) and a1 grape tomato cut in half plus 2 tsps of blue cheese Please change the name of the salad to just lettuce ! Because that’s all it was. Maybe I didn’t read it correctly when I ordered it but very deceiving when the first word is steak. $14 What a complete rip off. Will never go back after tonight

Google
Great tasting food, excellent service! Had the Dunkel stein of the house brewed beer & the Sicilianaire with a side salad. The other party had the pulled pork sandwich. & the cheese pierogi was amazing! (Didn't get a pic of that, it disappeared so fast)

Mateo Gebon

Google
I just dropped by to try their beers, but my impression was good. The food smelled and looked good, and the beers I tried were excellent. The one called Boogie Chillen’ was easily my favorite, and was very refreshing. I’d definitely come here again if I’m in the area.

Google
My sister and I went to Horse Thief Hollow for the first time and we were not disappointed! The atmosphere was really laid back and inviting. It is a great place for a group of friends, date night or dining out with your family. For our meal, my sister had the Old Man Tom's gumbo and I had the Southwest Turkey Burger and it was delicious! We couldn't resist and ended our meal with the beignets, which were so good. We can't wait to come back!

Yelp
We come to Horse Thief Hollow often. We love the ambiance and the look of the restaurant. Employees always make you feel welcomed and are always attentive. The food is always delicious and never disappoints. We love doing the beer flights and I haven't had a bad beer yet. This business takes pride in their establishment and it shows!

Really cool place, great staff, enjoyed several beers and can't wait to try the food next time!

Yelp
Out of the gate Colleen was a 5-star server start to finish. Her enthusiasm was genuine and welcoming, so informative about beers / menu. With one dinner in town, landing halfway from DC to AZ, Horse Thief Hallow was our #1 choice. A choice we did not regret. Solid beers, began with the Soul Train (Sour). 5-stars again. Don't let the color fool you, it is a pucker sour as intended. Annexation and Squeeze box also delicious, in that order. Restaurant SUPER clean. Pulled pork lean, not too spicy, the Mac n' cheese is incredible, with panko crumbs under a broiler - perfectly crispy and served in cool miniature cast iron. Grass fed burger, wonderful. Half rack of baby backs, meat fell off the bone, prepared wonderfully. When returning to this area, Horse Thief Hallow Brewing will be my go-to, thank you guys & gals.

Yelp
There's a short story behind the photo of the envelope. I ordered a 1/4 keg and gave a $50 deposit that Morrison held on to for 3 months before I came back on a random night. He instantly remembered me. Dedicated to his customers. These are the place I wanna come back to. Thanks Morrison!

Yelp
One of better burgers I've had and the sweet potato fries were best I've had. The ambiance of the place is cool and exactly fits the neighborhood. Bartender was very nice. The beer was honestly average - note I am a beer guy. The lighter stuff was better. Also never been to a microbrewery with a full bar and many people using it - two martinis on one side of me and Bloody Mary on other - odd . Anyway ... solid four stars overall - suggest a name change Restaurant and Brewery is more accurate than the other way around. Also a GREAT place to bring kids ... lots were there having fun and they only added to the ambiance as the space is open enough you don't notice

Yelp
We enjoyed our lunch! We ended up coming on a rainy day, all indoors and still it felt very open. Baby friendly too! Pretzels were great & the gumbo was so good! I wish my blackened Caesar salad was pre dressed but I understood why they had dressing on the side! We will be back!

Yelp
The food here is pretty good. The service is pretty slow. Everyone is very nice and all it's just that your drinks will go empty and you'll be sitting for awhile. The servers could use some more hustle.

Yelp
Best Beverly restaurant!! Was impressed with its outstanding service and flavorful chicken salad. From warm greetings to attentive staff, every moment was enjoyable. The chicken salad was perfectly cooked and paired with fresh ingredients. A must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience in Beverly! Great espresso martini too!

Yelp
Excellent food and service...I haven't had one bad meal from this establishment. The menu is different but good!

Joe R.

Yelp
Service and food were ok when they first opened. Now not so much. Walked in one day and was told there was nothing available. 2/3 of the restaurant was empty. They said it was reserved for a 7:00 reservation. It was 4:45.
google avatar

Brian T.

Yelp
The food is great the menu is small but quality over quantity is a good thing. All servers and tender have been awesome every time. Love the vibe it covers the neighborhood well and the premade old fashion hits the spot after several homemade brews fill you up! Price is the only reason the last star is missing.
google avatar

Tim N.

Yelp
Servers are disrespectful and the food is overcooked. Buy the canned beer to go and stop by Open Outcry for food. You won't be treated like a child.
google avatar

Andrew D.

Yelp
Not good. Very disappointing. Quality of food was mediocre. The place lacked ambience.

Yelp
The food is always really good, and the service is amazing they are always so nice. And the theme is really cool and I always feel happy and full when I eat here.

Yelp
This place is delicious! Such a nice gem in evergreen park. Beers are also great! Will

Yelp
Good beer. Food prices have gone up while the portions have gone down. I'd say it's still a good brewery nonetheless

Yelp
Ambiance - 5/5 The layout works well for both the bar crowd and the family crowd. The tables are spaced out a bit so you're not bumping chairs or subjected to listening to the neighboring tables' conversations. The noise and light levels are appropriate and it's an easy place to stay a while. It's good for children and groups. Wifi is available and there are a few televisions. Service - 5/5 The staff has usually been very friendly. I've shared feedback with management after 2 negative experiences and they were receptive, apologetic and ultimately wanted to make things right. I have Menu - 4/5 stars The menu is Southern American fusion/elevated bar food. There are many of the southern classics (barbecue and traditional sides) and bar classics (wings and fries). Recently, I've been ordering the combo platter and Korean BBQ wings. The brunch offerings are good too. It seems like my favorite dishes are usually seasonal. Drinks - 4/5 The bar staff is friendly and helpful. The beer selection is fun, there are a variety of flavor (fruity, peaty, etc). The liquor selection changes, which has led me to try try different bottles. I don't always love what I pick, I do appreciate the staff's helpfulness. They will usually try to guide me to a better decision after getting my reaction to my first choice.

Yelp
Great place - menu was incredible. Food choices are great. Most items have a little southern kick to them . Beers - wow - soooo good. And best of all is the atmosphere there . Wide open and laid back. Great spot!

Maura P.

Yelp
This has got to be one of the coolest places I've been. I love the atmosphere. There isn't any place like it. The food is delicious and their drinks are very high quality (be forewarned the drinks I've had were VERY strong haha, you get your money's worth for sure). Just all around lovely. You can't go wrong here.
google avatar

Cassandra M.

Yelp
The food is good. The sweet potato fries are delicious! The service wasn't the greatest but the place is very interesting and has a great atmosphere. It's a little expensive for my taste, but a nice treat every once in a while.
google avatar

Patti M.

Yelp
Ok , food just good, kind of pricey, always able to find seating . Service slow however ambiance is just above ok.
google avatar

Jennifer I.

Yelp
Food was great and the service was friendly! The pretzels and Crab Rangoon appetizers are a must try when in the area.
google avatar

Kenya G.

Yelp
I enjoy supporting locally owned establishments, especially when the food is good. I had the burger that was made with beef from the local High School was flavorful, the atmosphere lively, and staff attentive.

Luke L.

Yelp
Best food ever and the service was also the best. The ambiance was nice and very cool the roof was super cool. It was also comfortable and the American flag with the 13 colonies was cool.
google avatar

Andrew C.

Yelp
Gotta get the nachos and of course try the beer. Service was great and our food came out fast
google avatar

Tameka J.

Yelp
Food was decent a little pricey. Atmosphere was nice and close to home I've been twice and would go again for the charcuterie board

Ryan M.

Yelp
Stopped by after I was down in the area for work. Jack, the very knowledgeable and friendly bartender, shared recommendations for beer - and the beers were awesome! We talked further, and Jack is also a teacher of the deaf. We discussed the movie Moonlight Sonata (a movie about deafness in a family). I stayed longer, and tried their gumbo. I used to own restaurants, and the gumbo was the best (including anything I have had in New Orleans) hands down. I will be back for the food, beer brewed in house, and for the fantastic service above all. Nice work, Jack - you've earned a huge fan!
google avatar

Barry W.

Yelp
We had a business meeting here and Wow, this place is pretty great! Atmosphere is nice and homey. I could definitely see myself knocking back quite a few of their delicious beers here (I loved the Spoonful). I had the venison burger which was outstanding. The fries were solid but lacked seasoning. My wife had the tenderloin salad. They were out of the fried goat cheese for some reason, but she really enjoyed it without. I am not sure if it was due to Covid restrictions being lifted or if it was a new server, but the service was a bit over attentive. We seemed to have someone at our table every few minutes unnecessarily checking in on us.

Yelp
We are thankful every day HTH is in the neighborhood. The food is always great and the beer is amazing. The margaritas are actually really good as well! (They aren't on the menu.) reservations are recommended because it gets busy at dinner time.

Yelp
I was really impressed with the food, beer, and service here! I was visiting family in the area and haven't had the best experience food or atmosphere-wise at most pubs nearby. Horse Thief Hollow has a great vibe and inviting atmosphere with local art on the walls and a comfortable seating area. Our server was prompt and friendly and patient with our party! We tried a flight of beer and found them to have creative ingredients and good execution. We would have taken a 6pack to go but they were currently out! The food here was really good! We started with the charcuterie plate which had a large variety of meats and cheeses. We also ordered the empanada trio with one shrimp, pork, and corn/poblano empanada and chimichurri sauce. The empanadas were perfectly fried, not greasy and obviously fresh to order, and the stuffing was plentiful. I ordered the lamb burger which comes with goat cheese, tomato jam, arugula, and red onion. The patty was a good size(try the goat burger at Little Goat Diner it's tiny!) and the tomato jam and goat cheese are a great flavor combination. I also got the buttermilk slaw as my side which was lightly dressed and refreshing. My party also ordered Old Man Tom's gumbo with shrimp, blue crab, clams, and house-made andouille. The gumbo was chock full of meat and had a great consistency! It wouldn't seem out of place in New Orleans. Lastly there was the Lieutenant Dan sandwich which was a po'boy sandwich with fried Gulf shrimp, sriracha mayo, pickled veggies, cilantro, jalapeño, and shredded lettuce on toasted French bread. The shrimp were large and plentiful and the side of sweet potato fries were really good too! Next time we'll be trying the dessert menu!

Bob K.

Yelp
Great food and drink in a pleasant atmosphere. Good choices on the menu to keep everybody happy.

Yelp
I was there during the week. The salad was good. I had a margarita and it wasn't that great but they did try to accommodate me. Great customer service
google avatar

Mary S.

Yelp
Not too great. Didn't like the burger at all. The pretzel bites weren't very warm. I think too pricey for what we got
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
Best ribs that I've had in this area. My favorite beers that I tried were Tenbooks (Belgian Tripel), Space Face (Kolsch ale) & Cheval Deux (French farmhouse brewed with sweet potatoes). The beignets were tasty, too.
google avatar

Susan S.

Yelp
Great place for a weekend brunch. I've only been here once but love it (my Chicago family comes here often). The service is good, drinks are cold and the food is tasty. Although it's in Chicago, it's nice to get out of downtown and all the people. We had bloody marys, beer and mimosas along with typical brunch starting with a pretzel and ending with a grilled chicken sandwich. They have lots of TVs on for watching football or whatever sport happens to be playing. I really liked the place because there were boozy brunchers as well as the after-church crowd. Lots of diversity, lots of fun and good food.
google avatar

Michelle R.

Yelp
We recently moved from Beverly and miss this place a lot! The beer is great, and the food is good too. We mostly ordered takeout and growlers from HTH since we have little kids at home. The owner Neil couldn't be nicer, either.
google avatar

Yelp
Do you ever have high expectations about a 'new' place and it ends up exceeding your expectations? We don't have this experience very often. We North Siders are completely unfamiliar with restaurants in Chicago's south 'burbs. So, during a crosstown journey to visit the recently resurrected Carson's (yesss, as in Carson Pirie Scott) at Evergreen Plaza, I launched my Yelp app to search for interesting eateries nearby. Bingo! We arrived here late on a Sunday afternoon. The place was jumping with raucous Chicago Bears fans celebrating a huge victory, but the hostess managed to shoehorn us into the dining room. I seldom order beer by the "flight" but when I read the list of craft beers brewed in-house, no way could I limit myself to just one or two selections. Each of the 6 beers that I sampled was satisfying, but my faves were Ridge Rider (a "juicy" pale ale), Cheval (a French-style pale ale), and Cinnamon Girl (a stout brewed with cinnamon). I was hoppy! Their elevated pub grub also packs a flavorful wallop. The half-pound fire-grilled burger plus an array of optional toppings was juicy and satisfying. The Cuban sandwich, which combines smoked turkey with pork shoulder, was absolutely delicious. But the star of the show was the Burnt Ends sandwich. Piled with beef brisket smoked for 12 hours over cherry wood and anointed with Memphis-style BBQ sauce on an eggy brioche bun, this was among the best 'cue I've tasted outside of Texas. Their sweet potato fries (a $1.00 upcharge) were also among the best I've had. Amid a hungry/thirsty crowd, our server was always there when we needed her. So, now we have TWO reasons to return to the south 'burbs - Carson's and Horse Thief Hollow.

Yelp
Excellent service , food and environment! Check out the brews. Great for friends and family

Yelp
I've been here several times had fried buffalo shrimp, burgers ,fried chicken wings ,poor boy grilled whole barbecue chicken an fries an of course many different flights of beer it all is delicious got one problem some of the good entrees dont start till 3pm I wish all items where available at 12pm when they open that's why no 5 star.

Yelp
Horse Thief Hollow is one of the best dining experiences I've ever had in Chicago. No detail was spared by this beautiful establishment. The ambiance is enough to bring me back, but the food is next level. We got the adult grilled cheese, the beef tenderloin burger and split them - it was honestly a fantastic meal! The service and staff were so friendly and taught me a lot about their brewery business and even shared facts about the restaurant. I would HIGHLY recommend this place for any group. Do NOT pass up on the adult grilled cheese. You will be sad!

Peter V.

Yelp
Best Burger in Chicago. This place is awesome. We come here several times a year and is a real neighborhood gem. Went recently and started with the pretzels and crab rangoons. Fantastic. The rangoons come with a spicy sauce spread on the tray and then you get to dip into a sweeter sauce for a perfect combination. They always seem to have great specials - last night we tried the bangers & mash and it was super. The real reason I crave this place, though, is the beef tenderloin double patty burger on a brioche bun. Served with 2 cheeses, grilled onions, pickles, and a sauce that will blow you away. This literally melts in your mouth. I try burgers everywhere and this is definitely one of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend the trip to HTH.

Yelp
Went here for date night. The chicken n waffle was amazing!!!! Loved the atmosphere and drinks! Great place for dates n girls nights!

Yelp

Yelp
Great food and fun atmosphere. My coworkers and I really enjoyed it...we went pre-Covid.

Yelp
Went here with some friends the food was good. The service was a little slow that day. The ambiance of the establishment was cool.

Yelp
we ordereded a burger that was way over cooked and combo platte, cole slaw, beans and sausage were delicious! ribsc oulled pork and chicken was lacking flavor and dry. definately not smoked today. Drinks and wait staff were awesome
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
I visited here a few months ago and wanted to post this after cleaning out food/drink photos from my phone. Our party of 4 went on a Saturday evening on a cold night-told you it'd been awhile! We waited much longer than anticipated but are grown ups who can deal-with a beer or two. I enjoyed the Kitchen Sink-a tasty and still hoppy APA, while the Annexation (IPA) was just o.k. The Gose was tasty in terms of a sour beer. Food-wise it was just o.k. I had the hen house blt and the bacon was undercooked but thick and flavorful nonetheless and the rest of the sandwich-arugula, fried egg, garlic spread and the perfectly toasted bread was good. Could have used more tomato, but I've gone on long enough. Service was decent and it's worth checking out-probably would do more of an after work/late afternoon trip to stretch out and try more beers and some different menu items.
google avatar

Toyleane B.

Yelp
Went there for their Huckleberry Texas toast for brunch on this past Sunday. To my surprise, it was removed from the menu along with the waffles. So disappointed! I traveled from far North just to get that dish and find out it's a new menu. Well...you've lost a customer and to everyone wanting to go here the new menu sucks.

Tim C.

Yelp
This place is a great atmosphere, very good food and tasty brew pub beer. I've been here many times and will be back many times. I am missing the lamb burger desperately.
