Yummy Hot Pot with great bang for your buck! The basic box was the perfect size, and while I started with a roaring appetite I finished it plenty satisfied. You can even add a la carte items if you are feeling extra ambitious. The atmosphere was great and the hot pot was too. I definitely want to come back and make sure to try the other hot box flavors.

If you don't want to do an all you can eat Hot Pot, but want to eat a set hot pot with all your favorite ingredients then Hot Box is the place to go. They have a set meal for all your hot pot fix instead of paying 30 dollars worth of ayce hot pot. I just love how they have different broth flavors and add in so much food. It gets me so full and don't even need to do an all you can eat.

Interesting concept. First time I’ve ever had my own little personal hot pot. It’s pretty cool and feels like you’re eating a bowl of ramen or noodles of any sort. However that also means you’re kind of limited to what you order and the experience of hot pot is minimised (being able to share a tonne of different foods with friends). I think the flavours were average at best and the soup was somewhat bland. Staff were very attentive and friendly and it didn’t take long for food to arrive. I think there are better places out there!

Delicious food and amazing presentation! So many ingredient go into each broth combination and the staff are excellent!

Roaming around the city and stumbled across this restaurant in a food binge tour of this city. I knew this was authentic food as I was the only white person so I had to grab a table. To me it felt like a hidden gem. My date and I were promptly greeted and had great conversation with the hostess, the chef, and owner. I must say the food here has been the best of New York by far. The issue I noticed is that the intimate size only say approximately 40, so people just were unable to be seated. I could see that as a bummer... But the food, was amazing and worth the wait. If you get there before the rush, or possibly call ahead things will be better. No doubt I'll be back. Everything from start to end kept a smile. Thank you staff.

I read reviews for this place before going and there were so much hype in them. People were saying it's a hidden gem but it didn't feel like it for me. (I don't like saying negative things in reviews, but I want to share this because it's different from the reviews I've read). It was not only disappointing because my expectations were high from what I've read about the place but also because the taste of the food were really just disappointing even without having read the reviews. The food that I can eat here is not for my taste. The ambience was good, I liked the lighting. I also liked that it was a quiet little place (despite people saying that it's packed and you'd have to wait in line, maybe they came later or during the weekends..?). I came with my friends on a Thursday night just an hour after they open, and there were only two other parties there. If I made it sound bad, this place is not THAT bad. It's an okay place.

I found this place while I was wandering around on a miserable rainy night. I'd never seen it before, so it seemed like it spend up out of nowhere to serve me hot delicious soup exactly when I needed it. The service was excellent. The food was amazing, and much appreciated on that cold wet night. I got the Japanese hot box, and I plan to go back to try more from the menu, including the appetizers. But not the spam. I hate spam. I think this is going to become my new hangout for meeting friends in the village. I'm getting hungry just writing this.

Spicy! And like how They give you your own pot so I won’t have to waste so much in an all you can eat hot pot restaurant.
