The 26 Best Restaurants In São Paulo - São Paulo - The Infatuation

"Not content with running what’s considered one of the world’s best restaurants, A Casa do Porco’s owners have a string of casual joints in downtown São Paulo. O Bar da Dona Onça updates paulistano classics like oxtail with polenta, while Merenda da Cidade serves affordable lunches based on the staff meals at A Casa. And then there’s Hot Pork, which, along with its annex Sorveteria do Centro, does two things brilliantly: hot dogs and ice cream. Go for the bacon and chocolate ice cream, or the strawberry soft serve—it’s the perfect tonic for a boiling São Paulo afternoon." - tome morrissy swan

The 11 Best New Restaurants in São Paulo | Eater

"After moving downtown to open A Casa do Porco, his wildly popular salute to pork, chef Jefferson Rueda has launched his follow up: Hot Pork, a hot dog specialist with a purist bent. Rueda spent three years studying every aspect of the classic dog, and the result is that everything from the buns to the sausages at Hot Pork are handmade. Dogs come simply dressed with only guava ketchup, tucupi-spiked mustard, and pickled onion, and there’s a vegetarian version made with tofu and mushrooms called the Not Pork. To drink, find natural soda, beer, and cider on tap." - Rafael Tonon

I've eaten other Brazillian hot dogs, but didn't like this one at all. It looked raw, was served cold, and tasted mushy. My friend says they are artesenal, but I prefer meat to look and taste like it has been cooked. The chips are made from fresh potatoes. It was nice to see the lady peeling them through the window, but the taste was forgettable. We went on a Saturday night around 7p. The outdoor tables are shared with the ice cream shop next door. The atmosphere was crowded and lively, but the lady cleaning the tables was prompt. Glad for the experience, but wouldn't revisit.

If you are graving for one of the best hot dogs - this is your address! Even in the middle of the night. The delicacy which they prepare their hot dogs is unmatched!

At the end of the day, it was a lovely hot dog. But in reality it tasted kind of like every other hot dog but was unfortunately slightly more expensive and I would've rather have just had two normal hot dogs. There was nothing crunchy, no crispy onions or cheese or anything, was just the hot dogs and their fancy sauces. So yeah I actually wouldn't reccomend this if yoy want a really satisfying delicious hotdog I was still hungry afterwards. Staff are very friendly though!

Google
Super cool concept for great fast food. There us only two types of hotdogs. The one with meat and the one without, which makes it really easy to order. The atmosphere is beautiful and the staff is fast and kind!

A transformative experience. Hot dogs taken to the next level. Simple and delicious, it's very hard to put into words what this hot dog brings. It's definitely the best in Sao Paulo and a steal, considering the quality of ingredients and overall quality.

I probably need another go to this place, perhaps I change my mind about it. I couldn't feel the real taste of a home made sausage and should have a bottle of ketchup on the table. At this time didn't try the ice creams, but it look very tasty.

Great vegetarian hotdog options in downtown São Paulo. The service and the place are also really good!

This.... I really don't get the fuss. It's a regular hot dog.
