Sip on choice cocktails and champagne while soaking in breathtaking city views at this chic rooftop bar, where eclectic decor meets a relaxed vibe.
"Hot Tin is on the top floor of the Pontchartrain Hotel, and it’s one of our favorite rooftop bars in the city. Beyond just the great views, the drinks are top-notch—order the Rita Hayworth with tequila, chipotle chilies, and apricots or the Purple Rain with gin, hibiscus, and cinnamon. Before you get in the elevator to reach the Hot Tin, you should probably take a picture with the Lil Wayne painting in the hotel lobby." - team infatuation, zella palmer
"The bar on the roof of the historic Pontchartrain Hotel serves up one of the most stunning, unique views of the city alongside an impressive selection of cocktails, champagne, and other potables; the refreshing Spritzer Named Desire is a favorite. The Bayou Bar downstairs serves food for a pre- or post-rooftop meal." - Clair Lorell
"As the elevator doors open onto the rooftop of the recently-refurbished Pontchartrain Hotel, two things hit you almost immediately: the buzz of conversation and the eclectic décor, with weird and wonderful artefacts and posters lining the way to the bar. The main room itself feels like a cool, post-war loft, festooned with sepia photographs, vintage typewriters, and even old letters and postcards. The cocktail menu deviates from the classics (though you can order those, too) but not in too pretentious a way. Rums and gins blend with recognizable ingredients and are accessibly renamed: The Skyliner, The Seersucker." - Paul Oswell, Andrew Parks
"Hot Tin is on the top floor of the Pontchartrain Hotel, and it’s one of our favorite rooftop bars in the city. Beyond just the great views, the drinks are top-notch—order the Second Line Spritz with tequila, campari, and sparkling wine or the Burn Book with gin, passion fruit, and orgeat. Before you get in the elevator to reach the Hot Tin, you should probably take a picture with the Lil Wayne painting in the hotel lobby." - Zella Palmer
